You won't watch it live? I have to say through a combo of getting older, TV subscriptions, Liverpool being fairly consistently good, and general ennui of life, I am prob deeper in than ever. Several podcasts a week, BT and Sky at home etc. Maybe also Liverpool finally winning the league then repeating it means football doesn't have the grinding painful anxiety it had every season when I was younger. I can enjoy it more.

on the podcast thing, I reckon a big reason is boring exercise. I use a rowing machine most mornings and I don't like listening to fiction, so the slightly premium option is an audiobook, tho even then I'll buy some fairly trashy shit, with occasionally interesting history or political stuff. But often just need something vaguely okay to divert me away from the pain and breathlessness.
