I hope so, but it's not looking great imo

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 9 December 2010 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

hope they dont go down either but they need someone to replace zamora. is dembele injured or just not playing well? he hasnt scored in a long time iirc.

the Chinese firewall of the heart (Michael B), Thursday, 9 December 2010 14:04 (fourteen years ago)

mexican keeper ochoa currently on trial with fulham, so maybe they will sell schwarzer after all?

mizzell, Thursday, 9 December 2010 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

Schwarzer just signed a two-year contract so.. I dunno, the world of PL contracts is kinda beyond me, seems like they don't actually mean a whole lot?

Dembele's injured.

AFAICT they've not played well just once or twice. If not for Nasri pulling a goal right out of thin air last weekend they would have got a point at least off the league leaders.

contracts basically exist so that if anyone wants your players they have to pay for them rather than you letting them go as a free agent.

nice to see stockdale have another excellent game though he didn't have much to do to be fair

not terribly au fait with sidwell the gingah, he got a lot of applause though

Clint's touch before being taken out for the penalty was one beautiful thing (for a cheating, clever foreigner, according to Pulis)

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 23 January 2011 21:23 (fourteen years ago)

progressive cuts (Tracer Hand), Monday, 28 February 2011 10:53 (fourteen years ago)

People talk about how this is an "off" season for the EPL but the middlers and bottom feeders are almost all capable of big wins and terrific play, i.e. I've never been sold on West Ham or Everton being actually bad. I think they're both pretty good and have just had some shit luck this season. I think Fulham's the same. They'll be undone by a Nasri but anyone will be. Otherwise I think they can play with virtually anybody.

progressive cuts (Tracer Hand), Monday, 28 February 2011 10:55 (fourteen years ago)

(Especially when the opposition play as poorly as Man City, it must be said; I had no idea they depended on Silva that much)

While I think it is a fair enough idea, although a little strange, the statue doesn't even look like Michael Jackson. Paul Murray, Aberdeen

i mean this is it, really. i doubt people would really care if it were a really well executed bronze or something. but it's such total hackwork, like something a first-year student would make with unlimited time and money. which almost makes it better in a way. i mean good god. look at the fucking musical NOTES around the base of it. you know, cause he made MUSIC. i'm surprised you can't wind it up to make it spin very slowly and play a MIDI version of dirty diana.

I think he's getting a bit too hopeful here, but you've got to applaud the project surely? Top attitude too, I'd be tempted to give him a no.4 jersey and try him in defensive midfield.

CARACAS, May 16 (Reuters) - Zamora won their first league title for 34 years with a 1-0 win away to Caracas FC to finish top of the Venezuelan Clausura championship at the weekend.
Zamora, who overcame financial difficulties including unpaid players' wages with their successful Clausura campaign, have qualified for the Libertadores Cup, South America's top club competition, for the first time

looking at the higlights of liverpool v fulham. when did schwarzer get so shit?! he should have stopped 4 out of 5 of those goals.

he's seemed really erratic to me this season. like, mostly unstoppable and then he has days where he makes unbelievably stupid decisions.

this turned out to be a pretty great season. hard not to wonder how things would have gone if zamora and johnson had both been fit at the start.

kinda wonder if gera got that red card deliberately, so that fulham didn't have to do europa (or if hughes even ordered him to do it, which i wouldn't put past the dude)
