They opened for a documentary about a pro skateboarder who quits skating and does meth instead, or something to that effect. I don't know how it went. He got another Chicago synth wiz to join up with him, they are coming here to present films + music in Quad! Can't wait. They are going to Europe, too.

Oh, I'm not sure when this music is getting released. Same people who did Water Wrackets doing pretty much the same package. Films by Olivia Wyatt this time, can't wait to see what she's done.

I actually have an original Advance label LP of the 'Music From the Once Festival' recordings. With Mumma, Ashley, Lucier, etc. Got it at Encore Records in Ann Arbor about 14 years ago for like 10-12 bucks and for the life of me I will never know how that happened. On the home turf! Ah, the 90s. I miss your vinyl prices so.

Oddly that record is almost the same as their second High Mountain record called Canyon except the last song is different. both were released by columbia the same year. The High Mountain record sells for more, and everyone thinks the group is called Canyon for some reason, but Down Home Boy has the better alternative song. Canyon does have a nice cover.

This guy has become my favorite singer, I think. Just a joy and a comfort to listen to.

sometimes i feel really lucky that i get to hear my roommate pat play guitar all the time.
