I think Rutherford's individual moves have been defensible, and the return from Minnesota is really not bad. He's been hamstrung by Benning's garbage cap management and ownership that always prioritized revenue over rebuilding. So what it's all added up to is catastrophic. It's nice to see Bo Horvat killing it this season, Canucks clearly should have extended him instead of JT Miller.

I think the Canucks have traded at least four captains away in the last thirty years (Hughes, Horvat, Luongo, Linden). Not a sign of a functional organization!

Vladar really played well this series for a Flyer goaltender (faint praise).

I love Silovs, and it seems like starting him turned the series around. But he's susceptible to those long-range seeing eye bombs. As Rick Tocchet probably knows all too well.

Montreal hit some posts and crossbars, and lost a goal to a bullshit offside that happened a full 30 seconds before they scored. but Montreal was at something like 13.5% shooting percentage over the playoffs, better than any team in the NHL this season. They're pretty lucky to have made it this far.
