Picture it: August 8th, 2001: on the old greenspun server, ILX begins to display threads backwards, with the most recent posts at the top. I decide that it would be funny to try and create a massive argument in reverse, so that it reads the way we've grown accustomed to. It all goes wrong. Furthermore, the server issue is eventually resolved, and all threads are put back in their proper order. This makes the threads conducted the other way round look sort of weird.

Jess tries to do it again and make it go right; I point out that it was funnier when I did it.

I have to take the time right now to defend fruitcake's honor -- sure, if you're going to get something that's really cheap and artificial-y, you're going to get that rock-hard fruitcake everyone loves to hate, but I've had good fruitcake before, and OMG, talk about a great Christmas treat!
