Hi everyone. I'm new to this. Thought I'd introduce myself with a question. Who's got a significant other, and who doesn't? Just so we all know.

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Also: please include your address, telephone number and measurements.

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

not me! i don't! nope!

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Indeed. I like mark p already.

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, and 23,32,24,12,4.

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Females? Any females? I mean, sure, I'm interested in hearing about the girlfriends, too, but...

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Hubba hubba Mitch. (Call me.)

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:33 (twenty-two years ago)

But, Fred, with those numbers mitch is such a catch, and you may win the lottery with them too.

Ed (dali), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Not me. No.

ali (ali), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Helllllo ladiez!!! Which ones of you is available??

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm beginning to think maybe there aren't any ladies here after all.

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Well hello there big boy! I've been waiting for a man like you to sweep me away into a magical land of romance where pigs wear pretty pink bows and every sentence ends with the phrase 'my love'. Now then, when shall we get down to some serious snoggin'?

a lady (Oops), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Calum is spoken abt, but not spoken for

Andrew L (Andrew L), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, all the men on here are really ladies pretending to be fellas.

Including you. (Whether you know it or not.)

Marcel Post (Marcel Post), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Some of you may have me confused. I'm not trying to meet women. I just thought I'd ask a question to get to know you all a little better. Am I sounding creepy?

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Happily married since July of `01.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

no, but you just run into a group of people prepared to be obtuse to a fault

Ed (dali), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm married to Christ.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Jesus is my bitch.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Guys, this isn't the arranged marriages thread

oops (Oops), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Relax girls I'm Momus.

Momus (Momus), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm married to music. She's a lying cheating whore. But I still love her.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Married since September 14, 2002.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got like two or three of them.

*Please don't get mad if you read this dear*

cprek (cprek), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Everything is significant to me, not just my Other.

C J (C J), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh heh. He called it his Other...huh huh.

Bryan (Bryan), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I would marry like half of ILX if not for the whole married to Christ thing. He's pretty demanding though.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been single, off and on (i.e. some short-term girlfriends), for nearly two years, after the end of my 23 year marriage. I will be envious if this stratagem gets you together with any ILX woman, as I am in love with almost all of them. Ha, crossposting with Ally: I almost said the same thing, except for the Christ bit.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

no so.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm up for being a bride of Christ. He's a Nice Jewish Boy, right? My mother told me Jewish men make the best husbands.

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been single for the past 15 months. But I have my crushes to keep me company.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

All the ILX ladies like to remain mysteriously aloof and challenging (esp to newcomers who demand their vital statistics).

C J (C J), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I'mn shure you could let him know your lung capacity.

Ed (dali), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, I'm totally an ORDAINED REVEREND now, any not-married-yet ILX couples who want to get hitched, GIVE ME A CALL!

I'm supposed to be marrying a couple friends of mine ONSTAGE this summer. What's even crazier is that they've asked me to RAP the ceremony. Wowwee Zowwee!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got like two or three of them.

*Please don't get mad if you read this dear*

-- cprek (chri...), April 14th, 2003.

cprek, i bet you've only got one, and she's super hot and smart and funny and cool and you don't deserve her.

dear.

;)

one of three?, Monday, 14 April 2003 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm still waiting to be 'popped the question'.

mandee, Monday, 14 April 2003 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Come on now...No need to drag Christ into this.

Fred Bleemer (freeblee), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I am a dude with a girly name and I have a girlfriend I would like to marry one day.

Scaredy Cat, Monday, 14 April 2003 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I popped the question. Really badly. The answer was still "yes", luckily.

The question was "can Tom Waits top Rain Dogs?".

Oh, ok, it wasn't really.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)

When I was in Catholic school the sisters were trying to steer me towards being a Bride of Christ, but when I found out he was absolutely unwilling to consider a polyandrous relationship I broke off with Him right quick.

j.lu (j.lu), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm single.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

If I grow my hair long again, maybe I can pass for this Christ chap...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a girlfriend.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

UNSTOPPABLE MENTAL IMAGE: Jesus Christ in leather chaps and nothing more.

oops (Oops), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I have the best girlfriend.

martin mushrush (mushrush), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

http://monkeydyne.com/rmcs/opencomic.phtml?rowid=35905

Marcel Post (Marcel Post), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to get told I looked like Jesus! Really, several times! I've not seen any photos of Jesus, so I don't know if it's true. (This will be inconceivable for those who have only seen me in my current shaven (face and head) mode, but it's true. Now if only I can fool Ally...)

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm married to my job and a couple of aging cats.

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm Jesus

Millar (Millar), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

(the black one)

Millar (Millar), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I am the Bride of Frankenstein

C J (C J), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Married a year June 21! Which still seems weird to me, I prefer to call Dan my boy toy or something rather than husband.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan???Oh, I SEE

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Not that Dan! And people wonder why I never talk about him on ILE...

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 14 April 2003 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

:P

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

There is only one Dan.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

The lovely Emma B speaks for me.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan Perry will always be Dang to me.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:07 (twenty-two years ago)

So it should be. Sorry, nicole ;)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:09 (twenty-two years ago)

martin mushrush: I have the best girlfriend

Awe, that's so sweet.

ali (ali), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I almost got married once. Then he started dressing like the Lawrence of Arabia and threatening me. I decided it'd be best not to marry him.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

i have the best ex-girlfriends... i still love them all dearly.

but to answer the question: i'm not spoken for! :-D

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

How do you know I'm not spoken for???

Actually I broke up with my longterm gal in January and ended up with tears in my eyes at The White Stripes concert when Jack played 'You got her picture in your Pocket'.

And folks here wouldn't think I have a sensitive side. EH? EH?

Calum, Monday, 14 April 2003 21:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Even when I'm spoken to I'm not spoken for. I am the wind, and I can blow you way. Woosh.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

From my Saturday drunken ramblings (not a cry for pity, though it may have been then):

It's 3 am and I'm drunk and a guy that I just sort of started seeing and really really really liked just broke up with me, but he did it in such a wonderful way that I can't even be upset about it, but I really really am anyway... and how stupid do you feel crying at a time like that when you shouldn't be because it's not like you'd been together for years and anyway, you'll still be friends, but... damn

Sometimes I hate being such a girl

Also, I'm starting the "I just got divorced and I'm so alone and no one will ever love me again" thing.

This is really ridiculous.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 14 April 2003 21:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Then he started dressing like the Lawrence of Arabia and threatening me.

The threatening you part is admittedly very bad, but the dressing like Lawrence of Arabia bit roXor.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 00:30 (twenty-two years ago)

It seems that way before it becomes a daily occurrance.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:04 (twenty-two years ago)

What if he had dressed like Adam Ant?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

That would be OUTRAGEOUS! I just want one pirate outfit, that's all I'm asking for.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually attempted Adam Ant for Halloween a couple years ago. Didn't work though, but I had a mohawk and my cub scout jacket on (tight fit). There are pictures. Somewhere. Somewhere far away from me. Thank god.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicole has become increasingly possessed by Lionel Richie. I worry.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.davidstringer.ca/showthumbs/037.jpg

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

posting on the ceiling...

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh what a feeling.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Porno PXXXXX Pirates 4-Eva! Outrageous!

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicole's going nuts! This pirate lust is astounding! She's already camping out for the Pirates of the Carribean movie!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:38 (twenty-two years ago)

He tried that too, Ned. Do you rememeber nothing from my Halloween pics?

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I've lost control again. I blame the Pirates.

I am going to start sleeping in front of the movie theatre til I get to see hottt elf pirates!

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a boyfriend with better hair and more pairs of fun trousers than me.

kirsten (kirsten), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah yes, somehow that DID ring a bell, Ally...

Bless Nicole and her crazy ways. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Halloween in one phrase: THE CAPTAIN WAS HERE!

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I anticipate being single like forever. But what the hell. It's overrated and complicated. I believe that. Uh-huh.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 01:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a wonderfully sexy b/f & we live in blissful sin. Check him out in the introduction thread. rowr! (clue: he likes wearing hats in nyc!)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 07:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi Fred btw!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 07:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I am spoken for. She's 6 foot tall, swoonsomely wonderful and 5,000 miles away. She has posted on ILX precisely 6 times. She's the most beautiful girl ever.

Luna, are you okay? Of course you'll be loved again, you're k-rad!

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 07:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah sug, I'm okay, thanks! It's funny how different things look in the sober light of day.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a totally babe-o-licious wife who deals with German men's erectile dyfunctions all day long and then comes home to me.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:19 (twenty-two years ago)

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a great girlfriend, she is hot and a comics/sci-fi geek. She posted to ILM once about Siouxsie & the Banshees.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:43 (twenty-two years ago)

No, 'surprisingly enough' (she says as the waves of sarcasm flow out from the computer smashing all the buildings in SE18 and radiating out to cause a tidal wave to smash the Thames barrier)...

starry, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm married to metal.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 15:30 (twenty-two years ago)

If Handsome SoundArtist ever tried to speak *for* me, I'd wallop his oscillators! But I'm seeing someone if that's what you're so coyly trying to ask... ;-)

kate, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, but he never tries to speak *for* me, bless his soul.

sand.y, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 23:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I have Bubbles, she has me. Works for us.

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Spoken FOR? Some folks I know would consider it a good week if they're spoken TO!!!!

Fred Nerk, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 23:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a great girlfriend, she is hot and a comics/sci-fi geek.

Funny, I have the same girlfriend. She runs this website. She's really cool, and I think she's planning on keeping me. So sorry, Ladies. This is one full-figured man you can't have.

Gatinha (rwillmsen), Monday, 23 June 2003 20:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, congratulations! :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 June 2003 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm back with the guy who proposed to me and then I said yes and then I said no and then I said, "Go fuck yourself" and then I said, "Come back" and then he said "Huh?" and then I said "Forget it" and then he said "Hey, can I come back?" and then I said, "OK."

We plan on selling our story to Hollywood and getting rich. It's copyrighted, so don't even THINK about stealing it, bitches.

jewelly (jewelly), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't. And to quote The Magnetic Fields: "This is why I cry-y-y-y-y-y-y..."

N. Ron, Monday, 23 June 2003 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Copyright! That's like every fucking Friday for me. Except instead of "OK" I'm like, "Yeah, bring chocolate and ponies. XOXO."

Congrats, Gatinha :)

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Chocolate and ponies ... Hmmm ...

*surreptitiously writes on her napkin*

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I've already taken her name!

Gatinha (rwillmsen), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Smart decision;>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar, I assumed she meant living ponies covered in chocolate. That would be cinema. Your idea is just ... crap.

jewelly (jewelly), Monday, 23 June 2003 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

congrats gatinha!

teeny (teeny), Monday, 23 June 2003 22:02 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 23 June 2003 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Single and probably well on my way to being a full-time anti-social crank. Except my Unabomber shack would have a fabulous kitchen and all the internet bandwidth I can accumulate.

Chris Barrus (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 04:53 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahaha, whoops, Jason finally figured out who gygax! is.

(yikes.)

hstencil, Tuesday, 24 June 2003 04:59 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil, Tuesday, 24 June 2003 04:59 (twenty-two years ago)

she's singing while she's sleeping! WOW!

That Girl (thatgirl), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 05:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Spoken for? Me! And boy is it strange (and very cool) to be able to say so again after over a year. I'd had a longterm crush/love thing with this friend of mine the past 6 months, see, and it imploded horribly, and that was the 2nd time that's happened in the last 12-18 months and I was so over the whole happy life thing and really fed up...

...so last week, I met up with an old friend of mine, Nick, cause we hadn't seen each other in ages and I was sad and wanted company.

A week later after a weekend on the couch under blankets watching movies for 2 days straight, we realised we were completely besotted with each other.

I feel like I'm in some John Hughes movie. *chuffed grin*

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 05:07 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahaha, whoops, Jason finally figured out who gygax! is.

(yikes.)

death to the both of you!!

JasonD (JasonD), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 05:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe all of us cranky crusty celibate jerks (males, that is) should be sequestered in some posh country club camp where we can all OD on salt peter, drink Zima, & bitch (in a good natured fashion) about how we're going to die lonely and unloved with nothing to show for our strife and inner turmoil except a thorough knowledge of the following - all types of porn, the best free erotica websites, the viscocity of various over-the-counter skin lubricants, & the film discographies of Marley Shelton, Mia Kirshner, Eliza Dushku, Sarah Polley, and AND Monica Belluci.

Or maybe I should get some sleep.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:20 (twenty-two years ago)

mmm mia kirshner

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been single for about a month after splitting up with my girlfriend. We'd been together for about two years.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Ack. Me and Emma have been together about two years. All this talk of marriage is scary.

PS. All power to your elbow, MarkH.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:30 (twenty-two years ago)

single, drunk, and bitter right here

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I am still with my boy & loving every second. We are now the proud parents of 19 fish, awwww!! I am hoping to get married soon, although I need a certain little question to be asked first! damnit! We do have plans to though nothing definite, yay me!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 07:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I am single but not crazy (oh yes!).

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:04 (twenty-two years ago)

My current state of singleness has lasted longer than any other since I was 15. It's a bit depressing when I think about it like that so I'll shut up now.

RickyT (RickyT), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:36 (twenty-two years ago)

my state of singleness has lasted longer than some of you have been alive

99% i'm happy (= relieved) abt that, but for some arbitrary reason in the middle of the night last night i got real upset abt it |:\

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:39 (twenty-two years ago)

*Nick gives mark s a hug*

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:42 (twenty-two years ago)

99% happy is like pretty good! hugs etc anyway.

i'm nearly 6 months spoken for now and it's all peaches and cream. all this marriage talk is indeed scary - two of my friends have done it already, i've got another wedding in august. it's like, we're in our early 20s, i mean, please, calm down people!

pete b. (pete b.), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:50 (twenty-two years ago)

personally i blame neo-feminism for everything.

i mean im a guy whose watched like 100 episodes of quincy m.e., i been watching quincy's moves, his panache, its all there, and im learning lots. but when i try to pull it off it just cuts no mustard with the ladies, they just give me funny looks. what the hell do they want these days?

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Nylon slacks.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 08:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been single for about two years. I miss hugs sometimes. The last date I went on was about a year ago. She had too many Gary Moore CDs in her collection for my liking and she read the Daily Express. Ugh.

Alfie (Alfie), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:01 (twenty-two years ago)

You went on a date with my mum?!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:03 (twenty-two years ago)

heh, you're leaving yourself open to attack there nick. im tempted but i wont jump on it. the statement i mean, not your mum.

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe, does your mum have an Elvis Monopoly set?

Alfie (Alfie), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Not anymore.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure we can fix that.

Alfie (Alfie), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 09:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Single still, prolly because I've too much mouth, and am too smart for most males' own good.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:43 (twenty-two years ago)

That's bound to be it.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:46 (twenty-two years ago)

or not

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Shhh.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

On an unrelated note, I'm not single, probably because I have an enormous cock and a fast car.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:49 (twenty-two years ago)

i have an average cock and an average car. i'm not single but i'd prefer to be.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

On an unrelated note, I'm not single, probably because I have an enormous cock and a fast car.

And those who say so are prolly living the opposite.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 23:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I have an enormous cock too!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Single and probably well on my way to being a full-time anti-social crank. Except my Unabomber shack would have a fabulous kitchen and all the internet bandwidth I can accumulate.

Ha!

So you think! I have been designing my dream Unabomber shack for years - bandwidth and awesome kitchen and mega-bookshelves! (Actually, the damn thing is evolving into one of those Thomas Kinkaide-esque cottages - not bad, but I want more windows in my hut.)

I have an enormous cock too!

Ya know, there just isn't much to say after reading this.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 02:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Laura, I see your dream Kinkade Unabomber shack and raise you with Silo Home!

This is totally my dream house.

Chris Barrus (Chris Barrus), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 02:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, I have enormous boobs. But obviously nobody likes them.

Tha Threadkilla Was Here (j.lu), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, I think I must fold, Chris - I'll go back to my little log cabin and plant violets and hyacinth and blue bells and lupine and lavendar.

You can come visit and help me gut fish and stuff.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, I have enormous boobs. But obviously nobody likes them.

Maybe they need to learn some basic social skills?

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Single. As of a week ago. It's weird.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 25 June 2003 05:02 (twenty-two years ago)

As single as single can be. Dammit.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 3 July 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

9 days and counting

JasonD (JasonD), Thursday, 3 July 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Advice on getting married, per my own experience:

1 - Remember to breathe - no one wants to see the happy couple turning blue and falling over.

2 - Eat something at the reception or you'll feel like shit by the end of the night

3 - Shit will go wrong, grin and bear it - there are worse things, and this IS supposed to be the happiest day of your life so far.

4 - Ignore the in-laws as best you can; and

5 - Do not drink a lot of beer before the ceremony if you are getting married in front of a fountain and there is a chance you may get stuck waiting for your bride because her maid of honor is breastfeeding her baby. (Really, ask my ex-husband).

Otherwise, mazel tov!

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 3 July 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

four months pass...
There is a very funny series of posts at the beginning of this thread.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 26 November 2003 04:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I am. SO. FUXORING. SINGLE.

I have about 7 crushes at the moment but I think this is me conspiring against myself.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I kind of wish I was still posessed by Lionel Richie. Alas, the exhuberant spirit of Lionel has left the building.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

aw just act on those crushes, ro! you're total hottness!

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 4 December 2003 00:08 (twenty-two years ago)

well, don't act on all seven of them (haha unless you wanna be a total heartbreaker with the laydeez) -- but choose one and go for it!

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 4 December 2003 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I kind of wish I was still posessed by Lionel Richie.

This is obviously the best solution.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 4 December 2003 10:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Outrageous!

I think I'm in a boat somewhat similar Ronan's; I've got crushes on like 5 people right now, although I don't think it's me conspiring against myself so much as a crushing-on-people-who-don't-crush-on-me thing. And that's ok.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:17 (twenty-two years ago)

still married despite calling my wife "round head" this morning.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Five years, Baby!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

If my boyfriend called me "round head" I'd smack him, even if it is true.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

she gets all swollen in the morning. she told me i was mean.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Still with HSA. Coming up on 9 months now. If we make it through Christmas, this will be the longest running relationship I've ever had. That kinda scares me.

Citizen Kate (kate), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

why does it scare you Kate?

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

That is mean, though.

I think I kind of know what Kate means. It is a bit weird to have been in a relationship this long (almost 4 years now), I'm used to them not working out.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

i know its mean. i felt bad afterwards, but i was mad because I had to sleep on the couch because she was snoring so loud. i got 4 hours of sleep.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Most of my relationships peter out about the three month mark, for reasons I can never quite figure out. The only other one that didn't, was with a borderline psychotic abusive asshole, and after nine months I was, quite frankly, a complete mess. I'm scared cause I'm *still* waiting for the other shoe to drop, in a manner of speaking. Not that I think HSA is suddenly going to to turn into an abusive psycho, but it's more... I keep waiting for the catch.

I mean, we've been in the relationship long enough that our guards are down and we're acting naturally and being ourselves and all that. But I'm kinda terrified that it's just all going to fall apart at any moment.

Citizen Kate (kate), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

single for almost seven months after a 2 year long relationship (which had been my longest, BTW). What's really sad is I had to look at my post upthread to work out how long I'd been single!

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 4 December 2003 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

not been in a proper relationship for almost 10 years now, almost *almost* had one a few months ago but it just didn't happen.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 4 December 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Kate, It took me a long time to not be scared. I eventually realized that I was wasting precious time being worried about when and how the relationship would end and that I should just enjoy it while it's good. If you have a falling out, there will be reason. Relationships and feelings change. You can try to work it out or not, but that's not happening now, so why fret about it? You should take each day as it comes and enjoy the good times. Even if it ends someday, you will have these good memories.

I don't mean to sound preachy, that's just something I had a big problem with in the past.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 December 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm very single, but still have a crush on my ex-bf (and lots of other people)

caitlin (caitlin), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

The Bloke and I have been together for so many years now that I don't think I can even remember anyone else before him.

He's a good man :)

C J (C J), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I sometimes read the word "crush" literally, giving wonderful mental images of crushers dogpiling willy-nilly on crushees, only THE CURESHEES NEVER NOTICE.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

WOAH how did that happen???

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.laganzua.net/discos/discos4/imagenes/thecure.jpg

bnw (bnw), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

kate, i don't know you or HSA very well, but you both seem like really lovely people...and not knowing your relationship history, i just kind of assumed you were one of those couples that has been together 'for ever' (or at least for ages) because you just seem nice and happy together.

i'm spoken for, although that seems like a weird way of putting it. i've got a boy. and from the FAP thread (or the FAP itself) you may have already heard that he is a giant. yay!

colette (a2lette), Thursday, 4 December 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

My crush count is at three, roughly.
