What characters do you have on your underpants?

I have Paul Frank and some old Little Miss ones. I want some Afroken panties, like Ally's.

rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

alice cooper.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

(I also have see through lace American flag knickers, for patriotic occasions.)

rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:20 (twenty-two years ago)

(that large kaboom you hear is the sound of Hstencil's brain exploding)

hstencil, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my god. Ok. My newest ones have Afroken on them, and the frog, Kerropi?? Anyway, they are listening to RECORDS, with headphones. It's very rock 'n' roll. Then I also bought blue boyshorts with a picture of Snoopy on them. Those are all really good. I have some Lisa Frankish ones, they're white boyshorts with this colorful butterfly on it. But my favorite underwear have no cartoon at all, and instead are emblazoned "W.W.J.D" across my ass.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:27 (twenty-two years ago)

yes. what would he do indeed.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:28 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil, it's not like we're going to SHOW you our underpants.

rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:30 (twenty-two years ago)

If he saw your ba-donk-a-donk?

jm (jtm), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it's important that, if you were in such a situation as to see my underwear, that you question yourself in that fashion.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:31 (twenty-two years ago)

rosemary, I can always dream, can't I?

hstencil, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Hstencil in online flirting non-shocker.

hstencil, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:34 (twenty-two years ago)

And what is an Afroken anyway? Because I'm too lazy to Google...

jm (jtm), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:34 (twenty-two years ago)

James Blount (James Blount), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 03:56 (twenty-two years ago)

i have rita ackermann panties (still in the package) from a store in shibuya, very amazing artwork (if you're familiar with her stuff, she's at andrea rosen in NYC). they don't fit me though, i'm a 32 waist and these are size M in Japanese women's.

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 04:44 (twenty-two years ago)

they are available at Wet Melon in Shibuya Ward.

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 05:08 (twenty-two years ago)

will this thread breed other threads?

Erik, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 07:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a pair of boxers with Homer Simpson and the phrase "Seize the Doughnut" emblazened upon them. They were a gift.

From my mother-in-law.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 07:42 (twenty-two years ago)

my own mother bought me a pair of Garfield boxers with "My Way Or The Highway" written on them. Jesus woman, I'm 23!

Dave M. (rotten03), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:04 (twenty-two years ago)

my own mother bought me a pair of South Park boxers with "Oh my God! They Killed Kenny!" written on them. Jesus woman, I'm 29!

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:30 (twenty-two years ago)

My mum got me some ubiquitous Homer boxer shorts. I never wear them, they're too tight. She also got me a Friends "Central Perk" t-shirt, and I fucking hate Friends!!!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Why are cartoon panties for summer, anyway? What are "winter panties"?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Winter means cartoon longjohns, fule

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:36 (twenty-two years ago)

my mother in law bought me boxers with cartoon whales on them. they're sperm whales i 'spect.

gaz (gaz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

i've got special sunday ones...iconic print of mary and baby jesus, ringed with glitter gel. i *love* them.

and i have kerroppi as well. but i like the jesus underwear way better.

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

man i gotta start going to church again.

gaz (gaz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got Melt-Banana boxers.

Douglas (Douglas), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:04 (twenty-two years ago)

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I have Blink-182 with a cartoon butterfly.

felicity (felicity), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I knew there was something missing from my life! Novelty cartoon panties....

smee (smee), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

(I also have see through lace American flag knickers, for patriotic occasions.)

Just don't let them fall to the ground; and when it is time to retire these undies, follow the U.S. flag protocol in disposing of them.
;^}

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Nah, burn them outside a govt building!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't have any cartoon undies :(. I mean, I have enough panties that they can't all fit in one drawer, b-b-but I need MORE! Obviously.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone, I'm married to Christ, he's in my pants.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe afro ken knickers wearers should dye/style their pubic hair into a rainbow spectrum coloured puff to match afro ken's afro.

minna (minna), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

The answer to this question is obvious, since I'm all about the Sanrio.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I did have a pale pink pair with the cover of some old pulp fiction novel on them. The cover line was something like 'Too Fast To Live' and the picture was of a Betty Grable type girl rolling on a fishnet stocking with a suited man leaving in the background. I loved them, but they were eaten by the washing machine.

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I explained on the other thread my problem with my newly acquired Snoopy summer activities undergarments. Sigh. I used to have Undergirl but had similar problems with them.

Mary (Mary), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I find underwear with cartoons on them kinda gross. I don't know why. maybe cuz I equate them with early childhood.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

under? wear?

That Girl (thatgirl), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)

i wish, way back when, you'd been my teacher

gaz (gaz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I have soap opera cartoon boxers, e.g. "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S HIM!"

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 04:31 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
I am wearing Snoopy rollerskating right now. Felicity told me to save them for when I ran out of underwear and she was right: I know have three extra days worth. (In case you think I am gross you will remember this was a three pack of various Snoopy underwear.)

Mary (Mary), Friday, 9 May 2003 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I did, I haven't done my laundry in so long that I've run out of underwear. This is ridiculous!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 02:16 (twenty-two years ago)

FYI: Urban Outfitters has non-thong Snoopy panties.

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 9 May 2003 02:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks!

Mary (Mary), Friday, 9 May 2003 02:42 (twenty-two years ago)

What is wrong with thongs!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel I am letting femaledom down by having to confess I own no cartoon knickers. Cartoon tshirts sure but not pants.

Maybe I need to rectify this situation. Mind you I've no idea where to start... looking for panties with paul frank monkeys on 'em sounds bloody scary.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

The best option is to get the ones at Urban Outfitters with Muppet Show characters on them. I have the Fozzy Bear ones, but they ahve all of the characters, except STatler & Waldorf which is not cool.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I have some hello kitty panties but the elastic is busted. I used to have some great winnie the poohs but lost them.

I really only buy cotton thongs these days. Other kinds just feel too restrictive. If anyone comes across Paul Frank or Sanrio thongs, hook a sistah up.

That Girl (thatgirl), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I have Tigger boxers! Tigger, I say!

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:55 (twenty-two years ago)

My mother bought me Pepe Le Pew boxers, and I just thought ... you know ... of all possible cartoons, on all possible articles of clothing ... no.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:56 (twenty-two years ago)

B-b-but... he's so smooth!

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:58 (twenty-two years ago)

"smooth"? "panties"? what are you people doing to me??

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:00 (twenty-two years ago)

He's a SKUNK! Nothing renowned for its stench is going to be emblazoned in my groinicular area.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:01 (twenty-two years ago)

But it's cool because it's so un-cool

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:02 (twenty-two years ago)

what are you people doing to me??

We are seducing you, jim. Here, I will also feed you turkey until you become drowsy and suggestible.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:04 (twenty-two years ago)

the brothers grunt

Tad (llamasfur), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Nah, just flash him yer panties.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:16 (twenty-two years ago)

yay

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:18 (twenty-two years ago)

If anyone comes across Paul Frank or Sanrio thongs, hook a sistah up.

Apparently there's some kind of Sanrio store in this huge new mall in Melbourne near my work. I may just check it out this afternoon and see if I spot any cute knix0rs.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Jim you dirty old man ;)

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm watching Modesty Blaise, which somehow suits this thread. There totally should've been a Modesty Blaise Saturday morning cartoon by the folks who did the Brady kids one.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:26 (twenty-two years ago)

old?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, you dirty handsome young man then!

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

the best kind

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

DAMN I love this thread

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:36 (twenty-two years ago)

He said, his hand in his underoos.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:43 (twenty-two years ago)

underoos?

gaz (gaz), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:44 (twenty-two years ago)

They're like kangaroos, except they live in underground warrens, like wild rabbits or goblins.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:46 (twenty-two years ago)

(he means chuzzwazzahs)

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:47 (twenty-two years ago)

you're frightening me

gaz (gaz), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:48 (twenty-two years ago)

You guys never had Underoos? They were little kid undies, only superhero themed. Blue and black Batman ones, red and yellow Superman ones, blue and green Scooby Doo ones, etc. Making underwear fun, before we knew how fun it was even in white.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I loved that song by the chuzzwazzahs where they got knocked down but they got up again.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:51 (twenty-two years ago)

(I had Aquaman, Batman, and Superman Underoos, and they doubled as Halloween costumes. They must not've made Marvel-related ones, or I surely would've had Spider-Man. Somewhere, my mother has a photograph of me in a Batman utility belt and a Superman cape and nothing else, which is probably why I didn't go to prom.)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Sometimes there just aren't the words...

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:53 (twenty-two years ago)

we never had underoos :( man, we never had Y-fronts! A friend recently admitted that up til about 27 he thought they were "wire fronts", had like a little chicken wire cage in 'em.

gaz (gaz), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:54 (twenty-two years ago)

y fronts give me the fear

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 04:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think I have ever dated a guy who wore y fronts. When I think of them I see grotty stained things a la Withnail and I or Bottom or somesuch.

I fear if a guy ever got his kecks off in front of me and I was confronted with saggy y front grundies I'd cry and run out of the room never to return.

Mind you if he had Spiderman undies on I'd be just as upset.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:01 (twenty-two years ago)

http://store6.yimg.com/I/peedeetoys_1739_18477321

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Spider-Man underoos wouldn't actually have Spider-Man on them, though, they'd be meant to make you -look- like Spider-Man, only without the mask (presumably -- the Batman ones didn't come with masks, unless I got ripped off. Underwear that comes with a mask would fucking rule.)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:07 (twenty-two years ago)

If you can't get it in New Orleans...

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:11 (twenty-two years ago)

That would be all Mardi Gras masky, though. Nobody fights crime in a Mardi Gras mask.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:13 (twenty-two years ago)

(Except in Coupland's sense of "fighting crime.")

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:13 (twenty-two years ago)

So go further down Bourbon Street - someone somewhere has something that would work.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I can just see me wandering around Bourbon, right now (it's only an eight minute bus ride), looking for underwear-with-masks. If not for the sleeping pill, I just might.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:15 (twenty-two years ago)

That actually sounds like fun.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Its Tep, the sleep-addled superhero, otherwise known as....

MOGADOR! He who sleeps!

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Sleepy superheroes are bound to suck. Go to bed, Tep.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Today Snoopy is surfing. Yes, cotton is not as bad as other kinds, and the nice Peanuts people seem to have done everything they could to make these vaguely comfortable. That Girl: I think Flying A has PF thongs -- when you come to NYC we'll hook you up. I don't think HK would have a thong, she doesn't seem the thong type to me.

Mary (Mary), Friday, 9 May 2003 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine aren't cartoon, but they're pink say "princess" on the back

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:51 (twenty-two years ago)

That would be all Mardi Gras masky, though. Nobody fights crime in a Mardi Gras mask.

I'm getting an idea for a cartoon...is there anyone here who draws and would be interested in collaborating with me?
;^}

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Underwear that comes with a mask would fucking rule.

Well, in lingerie departments I've seen sleeping masks, but I assume that's not the sort you have in mind.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Dammit, I want underwear that comes with a mask!

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

either that or those bracelets that Wonder Woman wore...

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

And I probably should have gotten those Powerpuff Girl panties (in adult sizes!) that I saw at Target several months ago. They're probably all gone by now.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 9 May 2003 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark C (Mark C), Saturday, 10 May 2003 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

The only clean knickers I have now are my PF ones (PAUL FRANK, Dan, not the Pinefox, good heavens) and they are a bit too small now.

rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 10 May 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I *wonder* which ones I shall wear today. Then, if I go to Urban Outfitters, I shall never have to do laundry again!!

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought these last night and I'm wearing 'em now.

Whatever, just stay away from Spidey.

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

You have a pet name for every body part, don't you?

oops (Oops), Saturday, 10 May 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

You're ruining the novelty of my having spiderman underwear for me.

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Snoopy is now skateboarding. And that concludes this week's rotation of cartoon summer panites TM. Urban Outfitters here I come.

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 10 May 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

It's all me me me, innit?

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

From a friend of mine who has a teeny little store in Hollywood. Want some?

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes! How much, I will send via Western Union if necessary!

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I think they were about $8 each

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

They have those at webundies.com as well, Ally...

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 10 May 2003 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

webundies.com! The internet! I never thought of that! (this is not sarcasm by the way, I seemingly forget that there are stores on the internet all the time). (I'm a moron)

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a great site! I own the bottom half of these.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

This is my favourite thread ever.

Cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a little alarmed by the Punisher ones. But if you focus just on the skull, there are pirate puns (booty, Jolly Roger) galore. And really, pirate puns are all that matter.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Underwear is pricey but they only cost like $9 at Urban Outfitters. Just the Fozzie bear knickers, not the shirt, mind. I didn't see the shirt, and wouldn't have bought a shirt anyway.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

they have a wider range of muppet underwear at target.com. they have animal.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm flabbergasted why Target's nationwide slogan isn't "a wider range of Muppet underwear." Shit, I'd go there just to hang out, persuaded by an advertising campaign like that.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

2 years ago, I bought some tighty whiteys, dyed them pink and lilac and then silk screened Mr. T, Hello Kitty and, of course, Elvis on them.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

It was the the cheap DIY version and I looked stupid in the computer lab trying to find images of Mr. T.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr. T, Hello Kitty, and Elvis all on the same pair of underwear = the turducken of underwear.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

No tep, each pair had it's own theme and color and strategic placing of images.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:18 (twenty-two years ago)

That's cool in its own right, but I think you should've made the turducken pair.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Somebody just recently bought me a pair of Spongebob boxer shorts that have a giant picture of his face on them... there is something really twisted about having these boxers... now whenever I see him play his nose like a flute at the beginning of the show, I laugh my ass off

The Man they call Dan (The Man they call Dan), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I could've made Howard the Duck and ummmm *trying to think of a turkey*...and Mr T. and Elvis.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Now I am determined to purchase plain underwear and screen Mr. T, Elvis, and Hello Kitty on them. Also Jesus.

I have underwear that say "W.W.J.D." on them, I bring that up as often as possible in conversation. This must be the 15th time I've said it on ILX alone.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

How many times have you said it on ILX in unison?

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, Howard the Duck underwear, with or without Misters T and E: Classic.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Be careful where you place the images. I put two Elvis heads on each of the butt cheeks and he gets all Old Elvis looking once I put them on due to stretchage.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:25 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a good point.

What about She-Ra, I think we should have more of that kind of thing going on too.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

In the mid 80s, post-Nick Kamen and the astonishing rebirth of boxer shorts, most teenage boys owned cartoon versions. I had Flintstones ones and Mickey Mouse ones some indie ones that had French style cops and robbers running around. It seemed 'fun' at the time. Now everyone rightly hates fun and Woman is no more impressed by Man sporting such garments than she would be with him wearing a Tweetie Bird tie on dress down Fridays. But it seems Woman still gets away with it in her own drawers. I am not sure I like Woman to have girly panties. Not as sex wear, anyway. But you all go right ahead.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah i was going to get some more silk screen for my frame and was trying to think of good images. Joan Jett's been done (I have the WWJJD t-shirt). I was thinking Nico or Debbie Harry. Maybe Jem.

I usually have pretty plain underwear N. I find that the boy doesn't care as long as they eventually come off.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Jem is good because then your shirt could do battle with my Misfits shirt.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I have the WWJJD t-shirt

Exactly

actually I was like Ed Rooney?
then ohhhhh Jeffrey Jones, riiiiighhhht.

He shall go on my next batch of underwear.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Could you imagine? A boy refusing sex because, like, you have Spiderman on your knickers? "No, sorry, no can do, I'm more of a Batman person".

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Marvel vs. DC enters the bedroom at last

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Marvel all the waayyyy! At least they didn't have to live in make believe places.

Carey (Carey), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I would totally refuse sex because someone had Spiderman underwear. And I might have sex with someone solely because of Jem underwear.

(these may be lies)

What Would Justin Do? (gabbneb), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Panty code replaces hanky code:

Aquaman = I enjoy watersports
Batman = My teenage ward will join in. And he's good on the trapeze.
Animal from the Muppets = Rrawr.
Wonder Woman = I enjoy rope bondage.

Etc.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Ya'all would be having sex with all us foine laydeez no matter whats underwears we gots on, fools. Why else you readin' this thread? Pervs.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I think we could get Jem panties from that LES store.

rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Do they make boxers with Bender on them?

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

They fucking should.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

There are boxers on benders, so I'm sure there are Benders on boxers. Possibly Benders on the boxers of boxers on benders.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Because I can. *snap*

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, Benders on the boxers of Brian Benben. Millar, you foxy pool.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you mind if I imagine that when you go on hot dates where you expect sex to happen, you spend time deciding whether superheroes or muppets are the hottest choice? Obviously the black lacy things don't get a look-in.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

now, Leela panties, that would be something.

They really need to institute some Statler and Waldorf undies, actually.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Statler and Waldorf bras would be FANTASTIC. A face for each cup!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Cartoons that are not on boxers that need to be, pronto:

• Cowboy Bebop
• Strong Bad, Bubs, Homestar & The Cheat etc.
• Lupin III
• Ren & Stimpy
• Futurama (as discussed)

One of you lurkers must know somebody.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd add Transformers in there, but I'd be afraid of the "so what does it turn into, anyway?", and I've already seen the penis puppetry page.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:45 (twenty-two years ago)

You know what would be killer? "The Black Hole" panties!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:56 (twenty-two years ago)

With Maximillian!!

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I would totally go for some Ernest Borgnine boxers

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I just took a look at my DVDs, going, "Hm, which of these should be on panties?", and the one that would make me laugh the most and the hardest is Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. That might be a me thing.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd definately wear briefs if they had a Ralph Steadman illustration of the Gonzo journalist on them...

The Man they call Dan (The Man they call Dan), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I want boxers with stills from pornographic films and hentai pictures on them. It's so wrong it's irresistible.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:14 (twenty-two years ago)

How about boxes that bleed? That would be nice (where by "nice" I mean "fucking frightening").

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:14 (twenty-two years ago)

They should make underwear with Dan Perry on them.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:24 (twenty-two years ago)

They should make underwear with Dan Perry in them.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I wasn't feeling the Spoopy options at UA--the garish colors--and Snoopy was still rollerskating, nothing new. But at Exit 9 I got a whole set of Day of the Week Snoopy underwear and they are so cute. Question: what goes wrong if you wear say, Tues. underwear on Wed.?

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 10 May 2003 23:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 10 May 2003 23:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, I am through with myself. I'm never speaking to me again.

records are much more interesting. which is why i haven't clicked on this thread until now.

really. "panties." what are we, three?

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

No, we just have senses of humor.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd take panties over records anyday. Records look funny under your pants.

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:12 (twenty-two years ago)

i dunno. there's just something so infantile and weird about the word "panties." it creeps me out.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

well what would you call them? Underwear is not specific enough for all situations.

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Over here we say 'knickers'. Panties does sound kind of infantile and weird, and its normality in the USA is kind of appealing to me.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

(by the way I've decided that I'm gonna call my undies (when I wear 'em) manties from now on)

As in http://www.manties.net?

j.lu (j.lu), Monday, 12 May 2003 15:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't really use the word panties but for the purpose of this thread seems fine. Knickers seems weird -- I think I have knickers and they are not underwear. They are kneelength pants, I mean trousers? Seeing that sign outside Ally's bar party was like a beacon from afar.

Mary (Mary), Monday, 12 May 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Laura, are your Hulk panties like merchandise with a picture of the Hulk on them, or just old purple panties that got torn some?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Martin *laughing* what a most excellent question! And one that I'd not seen coming, either. Anyway - merchandised with "Hulk" on them, but I do have a pair or two of torn purple panties, come to think of it *grin*

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 19 May 2003 05:30 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not dorky when they make girls' undies in boys' BVD style. It's just NOT RIGHT.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 19 May 2003 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I have boxers that have little cartoon ants on them and say "ANTS IN MY PANTS" on the elastic; people see those and they say "wow, those are the most appropriate underwear for you".

Oh phew, you are talking about the PF winter ones. Those are cutie. For a "brief" instant I was worried that you were talking about the strange girls' BVDs with the weird pocket flap in front. Those still aren't right.

No, ILX taught me that those were wrong.

It would be nice if you could.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

James Joyce panties would be 300 sizes too big, and you would start to try to take them off, get sick of it, and give up.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

James Joyce panties would make no sense, they'd have holes that seemed like things should go there, but nobody would be able to figure out what.

B-b-but what of matching bras? You cannot wear cartoon summer panties without a matching cartoon summer bra, in case you get knocked down by a bus and you do not have matching underwear - oh the horror!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 20:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to get some more but I fear I have no need for millions of pairs of underwear. No one did really sort out the issue of whether or not life on earth would be ruined by wearing day of the week panties on the wrong day though.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 18 November 2003 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally, can't see homo sapiens imploding, due to the wrong 'toon panties. Would cause Darwin to roll over in his grave, again.

(HETERO-LEANING) LADIES OF ILE: If you went away on a trip and your male s/o bought you cartoon summer panties as an "I missed you" gift, would you think that was really cute or kind of self-serving and sad?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 15 April 2005 12:57 (twenty years ago)

It depends on what kind of cartoons are on them.

I would think this is a good gift but I love presents (and panties).

tokyo nursery school: afternoon session (rosemary), Friday, 15 April 2005 13:00 (twenty years ago)

there's nothing to say it can't be selfserving, sad, AND cute! just better get the right size.

teeny (teeny), Friday, 15 April 2005 13:15 (twenty years ago)

no, buy them a size or two too small (flattery!), and keep the receipt (thrift!)

Haikunym (Haikunym), Friday, 15 April 2005 14:00 (twenty years ago)

TOO SMALL IS A VERY BAD IDEA considering that most men gifting the gift of clothing expect you to then wear it pretty soon after purchase and see it, and TOO SMALL panties results in some of the most horrifyingly unattractive bulges on earth, even on the skinniest, flattest-assed woman, never mind a normal human being, which will THEN result in self esteem crash, annoyance, "Am I fat???", worrying, etc etc etc.

BUY THE RIGHT SIZE. TOO LARGE OR TOO SMALL AND YOU FACE A MINEFIELD OF HORRORS.

Otherwise the idea is great, I'd be delighted!
