It is my birthday in two weeks and I always have many parties for my birthday and YOU should come! I want to have a night out on May 10th (a Saturday), thinking Bellevue? But suggestions taken. Who is in? I can't do the weekend after because of wedding/friend's gig committments.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:09 (twenty-two years ago)

(and the actual night of my birthday is right out, it's May 10th or NOTHING)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Too bad I will miss it by a week, I leave NYC on Sunday afternoon. Have fun, and happy b-day.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:14 (twenty-two years ago)

The 10th is the Record Swap at the Ding Dong Lounge! But I think that's earlier in the day.

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:38 (twenty-two years ago)

OH THAT'S SO RIGHT

Ok I think we should have a venue change then! We shall go uptown, way the hell uptown, and go to the Ding Dong and there is a bonus of records.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Than we can start drinking AT NOON.

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Arrrg, THEN

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

WHICH IS URGENT AND KEY, and also I can wear my harem pants.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 01:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Where is Ding Dong? I'll be there and I may kneesocks.

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Where is Ding Dong? I'll be there and I may kneesocks.

Goddamn if those aren't the two best sentences I've ever read.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Mary, you went there after ice skating, no?

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:41 (twenty-two years ago)

It is at 105th & Columbus. This is more info.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:44 (twenty-two years ago)

That's well cool but I long to go to Bellevue so maybe Ding Dong in the day and Bellevue at night? What is the record swap anyway?

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Me!!!

felicity (felicity), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to go to Bellevue too but we can always have two FAPs or travel if the Ding Dong scene gets old. I'm not sure what the record swap is but it sounds like it'll have BOYS.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Eww boys + records = zzz.

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, obviously, but then we can LAUGH at them.

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 02:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, I think the 10th is the day we were planning on going to Coney Island!

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought you were going to Coney Island THIS weekend (the 3rd). At any rate, you'll have to cancel then.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:27 (twenty-two years ago)

no this weekend I'm going to Kentucky. Maybe we'll go out to Coney on Sunday the 11th instead. Have you been to that bar out there? I forget the name...

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

i think you guys have an endless supply of money.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh right, I forgot about Kentucky. We can go on the 11th, I'll go with you. I bet it'll be more fun to go see the freak show hungover anyway!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris, only 'til I get fired in June. Then it's back to selling plasma and eating ramen.

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone in New York City is filthy, filthy rich, Chris.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

are you getting laid off? ugh. sorry.

I'm lucky to go out once a month, nevermind all the time. But I spend all my money on slippers and robes.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

We're going to go there after the FAP! After we've ridden the subways endlessly all night to get there.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris, no it's likely I'm getting fired.

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

grab assing the ladies weren't ya.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:55 (twenty-two years ago)

if only. I think doing that would get me a promotion around here.

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:57 (twenty-two years ago)

grab assing the men would probably get me a promotion around here.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd get more than a promotion!

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 13:07 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil in working at my company shocker.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm in, for sure. I forget the name of the CI bar, but that was the first place I heard the Khia song. And then two friends of mine gave crusty Russian men lap dances.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Are they now floating in the East River?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to be there for all this but I can't be. I am sad.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Can I come to your birthday party next year (if Chris and Vicky time their nuptials right)?

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Happy upcoming birthday, Ally. I'm in town the day before and the weekend after, but boo-hoo gone on the drinking.

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

The weekend after is a big problem because I will be out on Long Island but everyone is well welcome to come to Oceanside and watch my friend's ROCK GIG. Nitsuh, are you in town the nite before? We can change up the date.

Marc C: You BETTER come to my birthday party next year, I get belligerent when people don't.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

(No, Ally, no date-switching on my account: I'm there Thursday night and most of Friday, but just stopping through and taking off again. The weekend of the 17th I'm actually there for a little while, so I'll pour out some 40s in your honor.)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 15:21 (twenty-two years ago)

i think my birthday is on the same day as Ally's - which makes it a crying shame i'm unlikely to be able to hop on a plane to NYC in a couple of weeks....altho i suppose theoretically, i could

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

When is your birthday?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

We're going to go there after the FAP! After we've ridden the subways endlessly all night to get there

http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/IMPO/ET3090.jpg

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

YES EXACTLY.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be at the Ding Dong. Coney Island, less so.

I guess that makes me the Warrior who gets killed off early.

Paul Eater (eater), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I dated a woman named Lizzie. She tried to gut me!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to drink with you for your birthday, but I'm like hundreds (thousands? maybe?) of miles away, and I'm having a party that weekend, so I'll just get drunk at my crib with my homies and send telepathicalicious messages of hippie-stylee goodwill to ya, whilst getting the police called on my party (again) for having a 20 person singalong to 4 Non Blondes' "What's Going On?" at 3 am.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, the US army should have dropped the MOAB on that last party.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

That same woman Lizzie (who actually never tried to gut me), lived in Mexico where the techno version of the 4 Non Blondes track was number one for like 4 years. Mexicans would always ask her to translate the lyrics when she was up in da club. All she could do was shrug and say, "que pasa?"

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:28 (twenty-two years ago)

MOAB:Massive Onslaught Against the Bath-less

buttch (Oops), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

And I say heeeeeeeeyyyeeeeaaaaaahyeeeeeaaaaahhhhyeeeeahhhh
I say hey
que pasa?

The last time that happened was actually years ago, and we would've been alright prob'ly except I lived in an apartment then and I had like myself and ten other people sitting on the balcony over the front door to the apartment building. And of course we were singing that horrible horrible song...

And my friends aren't hippies! It was the sending-of-telepathic-messages what I was calling "hippie".

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

haha. its ok we still luv you Nick.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

When is your birthday?

well i had a look at your bitchcakes Ally, and it turns out mine is the day after yours...never mind, i'm going to plot my nyc odyssey irrespective of the fact i probly won't make it out there til Autumn now, harumph

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:49 (twenty-two years ago)

well i had a look at your bitchcakes

Out of context, this is a really dirty sounding comment!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 17:51 (twenty-two years ago)

only in YOUR mind...

(and everyone else's)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 18:19 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, I suppose I can make this....

M Matos (M Matos), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 18:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah we gots mad party ackshun going now. I bet Tracer Hand will show up at 3am.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 April 2003 18:45 (twenty-two years ago)

i may be in nyc that weekend. i never planned on attending an fap.
maybe if i get drunk enough...

kephm, Wednesday, 30 April 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, can I make a suggestion? Can we go to a place where I *won't* be carded -- I'm going to be without my passport because I'm going to renew it, and my passport is my ONLY form of picture ID.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Thursday, 1 May 2003 02:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Just wear your cowboy hat, Michael, and all will be fine.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 1 May 2003 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Right! Louisiana it is!!!

Seriously, Michael, most bars don't even card these days. It'll be ok. The Ding Dong is a small place from what I gather and those usually don't card.

However, we might be moving this bitch to Toronto. And moving the NYC FAP to the following week.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 1 May 2003 02:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm down. roXoR

geeta, Thursday, 1 May 2003 07:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Just wear your cowboy hat, Michael, and all will be fine.

Oh, you'll get the cowboy hat alright.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Thursday, 1 May 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

will you guys be able to smoke or what?

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 May 2003 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

oh and hey mike, i still owe you for those 2 Many DJs CDs!

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 May 2003 10:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Michael for serious I don't think they card at like 99% of the bars in the world, though if you want we could do a meet up at Potion instead because they don't card people who come in with ME. So if you meet me prior, they won't card you, because of ME, because I am SPECIAL ie ALCOHOLIC.

Also we could go to Peter's because you're still allowed to smoke there.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 1 May 2003 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Could you not go to the bar and ask for two drinks, then give one to Michael?

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 1 May 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

The bar on the boardwalk is Ruby's. But be forewarned -- unless things have changed, Ruby's does last call at 7:45 a lot when I'm there, though that may just be a weekday thing.

Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Thursday, 1 May 2003 15:37 (twenty-two years ago)

No, Mark, they won't let you in the door at all if you don't have ID if they are a club that cards.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 1 May 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Acktually the Ding Dong sounds way fun.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Friday, 2 May 2003 21:31 (twenty-two years ago)

It plays Turbonegro=we must go.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 2 May 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah, I see. When I was at a gig in NY and bought a drink for a 20-year-old, the recipient looked frankly terrified and only accepted it after much persuasion/bullying. I wondered if that might have been why.

Mark C (Mark C), Saturday, 3 May 2003 13:10 (twenty-two years ago)

update please where when & etc
daddino has gone from sailor threads to western style at ally's bidding:( so i asked, can i request east coast prep school style and he said no:(

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 03:27 (twenty-two years ago)

i thought we had the same birthday ally, i seemed to remember it from some ancient thread of yesteryear...

i'm going to glasgow to get horribly RUINED for my birthday :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 08:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, let me know what's up with this. I have a bbq to go to earlier in the day, but I still am awaiting Ally's lapdance.

hstencil, Wednesday, 7 May 2003 15:06 (twenty-two years ago)

It's still up and going. It's the 10th @ the Ding Dong. Apparently there is an event there earlier in the day but I do not know the full details of that event--Rosemary? Paul? I don't want to get there early because I have a lot of stuff to do during the day for school, but a regular meeting time is cool.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Great and I am still on for the Toronto trip whenever it may happen.

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, so you still want to do Toronto? Because then we should switch this up a bit, and do Toronto this coming weekend.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

the bottomless jar of money must be nice.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

You realize the trips to Toronto are FREE, right Chris?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

nay.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

fuck it, this thread's pissed me off now.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh I wasn't thinking anytime quite so soon as this weekend. I'm still recovering from the Derby.

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 18:11 (twenty-two years ago)

can i request east coast prep school style: Lacrosse sticks make terrible accessories, Mary!

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, why are you pissed? I want to honor your birthday (and the fire!).

hstencil, Wednesday, 7 May 2003 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

PS: The Rheostatics are playing that weekend from Thursday to Saturday. Only 10 bucks or so so its almost free.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

don't suggest a concert FAP, Ally doesn't like those.

hstencil, Wednesday, 7 May 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

i think she's mad at my joke about money? i sorry.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 23:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit, you guys are actually coming down this weekend? I'm going to be out of town.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 7 May 2003 23:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait why are tix free?

Mary (Mary), Thursday, 8 May 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually can't go this weekend anyway. Or any weekend ever again for what will be known as history one day, judging by the amount of bills I forgot to pay last month. I shouldn't even go to this FAP, damn.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 8 May 2003 01:09 (twenty-two years ago)

The tourism industry is trying to recover from the SARS alert the WHO slapped us with.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 8 May 2003 01:12 (twenty-two years ago)

You're begging me to crack a Roger Daltrey joke, aren't you?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 8 May 2003 01:14 (twenty-two years ago)

If it feels good do it.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 8 May 2003 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally you can afford the FAP because it's for your birthday, we will buy you drinks!

hstencil, Thursday, 8 May 2003 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

No one's going to buy me anything. I don't think we should do this anymore.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:35 (twenty-two years ago)

: (

hstencil, Friday, 9 May 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

smile Ally

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, Ally. I was really looking forward to this, esp. buying you drinks and what not.

*sigh*

hstencil, Friday, 9 May 2003 15:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait is this on or off? I saw something at the church sale last week you might like, should I bother going back tomorrow and getting it?

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

(ps: shut up, gareth)

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess we can. Around 8pm or 9pm. You don't have to buy me anything.

I'm not really in much of a partying mood to be honest but maybe a few drinks will be nice?

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Where shall we meet? Bellevue or Ding Dong?

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 9 May 2003 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, which do you reckon is cheaper? Probably Ding Dong since it's all the way uptown.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 16:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I think there are happy hour prices before 6.

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 9 May 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

ah I have a bbq in Greenpoint to go to and prolly couldn't make it until 9 or 10.

hstencil, Friday, 9 May 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Alright, everyone, since I just got several emails about this:

Tomorrow (5/10)
@ Ding Dong bar (see previous link for information)
8pm approx (I probably won't be able to make until about 8:30 because of some obligations that popped up) until whenever the hell we feel like leaving.

If you need my cell phone # to coordinate becauase you are arriving later/earlier and want to make sure we are still there, please email me, but I don't think we will move because that is so confusing and instead I will just call for another FAP in June @ Bellevue!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 18:52 (twenty-two years ago)

see you around 10

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 9 May 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 9 May 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Bring me valium.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 9 May 2003 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, I can't be there for your birthday, so in a completely selfless act, I got drunk tonight for it instead.

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 05:04 (twenty-two years ago)

completely selfless

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 05:54 (twenty-two years ago)

(actually given what your week has been like you absolutely deserve to get as drunk as you want, Luna)

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 05:57 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 06:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I said I'm an angel, I didn't say I was running for Jesus < /homer simpson>

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 10 May 2003 06:50 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 06:52 (twenty-two years ago)

sometimes you wanna go--where everybody knows your name!
and they're always glad ya came!

you wanna be where people see
the troubles are all the same [what specific troubles, I always wondered when I was a kid]

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 06:57 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Saturday, 10 May 2003 07:29 (twenty-two years ago)

It's almost 10:00 AM and I don't see any absurd photos of myself yet!

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 11 May 2003 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

This begs the question. I tried calling Ally again after midnight to see if you people were up to no good (and since I didn't get any answer, perhaps you were).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 May 2003 13:03 (twenty-two years ago)

i got home at 6, it was light outside once i got out of the fuX0ring subway!! thanks to Matos, Ally, and myself reaching a spontaneous closing-time consensus, 10 feet away from the subway entrance at 96th st, to veeeeeer off towards them golden arches. We had the place to ourselves. Like pashas were we! aw. Ally do NOT post any pictures except for the last one of us 3 on the train, I think that one might be okay. I'm spazzing out in the rest if I recall correctly, and not charmingly, really.

The pictures of Daddino on the other hand are most likely all spectacular. I only hope there's one of him at his little school-desk. There was: Andy B, Daddino, Yanc3y, hstencil, rosemary, Mary, Michelangelo Matos, Paul Eater, Ally, AND a special appearance by felicity arriving in late-arrival barnstorming style!! Have I forgotten anyone? Curses if I have.

Oh wait a minute I forgot TIFFANY.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer, how can one forget her?

rosemary (rosemary), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Tiffany ROXXX U R ALL GAY!

hstencil, Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

If any of u took my grrrl home I'll fucking h8 u 4evah!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

No Yanc3, she gave me the slip. I didn't even get her promised email address and social security number.

hstencil, Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:51 (twenty-two years ago)

dat's my girl!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:52 (twenty-two years ago)

heh, I've just been told abt it on aim. yancey you dawg!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw, it was wonderful to see you all. Happy birthday, Ally! I'm glad Ally was born.

felicity (felicity), Sunday, 11 May 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally certainly kicks ass.

hstencil, Sunday, 11 May 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

*merry* Rah for this lurvly tale! :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 May 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Her name's not really Tiffany, supposedly it's Samantha. Maybe she would have said her name was Debbie Gibson eventually. Anyway she was totally trashed and after curiously asking Yanc3y if she could put her coat in our booth - and getting negged - she returned and just sat down with us. She was done up in classic uptown fashion - lip gloss, long glossy hair, I don't know, I guess it might be called "bridge and tunnel" style but uptown it's all kind of like that. Anyway to make conversation I asked her what she was drinking, and she didn't seem like she really knew, but since it was vaguely yellow with a cherry on top I suggested that it was an Old Fashioned. She rolled her eyes at me and said "I got this drink here a year and a half ago, it's triple-sec, orange vodka, and sour mix." Brightly, I ask if she's a regular. "No I'm not indie-rock" - she spat the word - "like all these guys."

"What about us, are we indie rock?"

"Oh you guys are TOTALLY indie-rock."

"But I listen to disco!" I protest.

"That's even MORE indie-rock!"

!!!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 20:32 (twenty-two years ago)

She repeatedly asked me why I hated her.

"Why do you hate me?"
"I don't think I can pinpoint anything in particular."

I walk away. I come back a few minutes later.

"Why do you hate me?"
"I don't."
"Yes you do."
"You're right."

I walk away. I come back a few minutes later.

"Why do you hate me?"
"Jesus this conversation's boring."

Etc., etc. I felt kinda guilty for being a dick so I tried to be nice to her.

"So Samantha, who are you here with?"
She leans in really close to me.
"I'm here alone and I live right next door."

I got up and left again. She stared at me for a long time, then she went after some other sucker, apparently.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

She totally wasn't there alone at all though! Oh wait you mean. I see!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you all for sharing in my special time. I'm not sure who my favorite crasher was (besides felicity, who counts as a crasher cos she showed up all fabuloused-out at 2:30 am). The nominees:

1. Tiffany-Samantha-Sarah Michelle Gother.
2. The Crazy Cuban Man, who informed Yancey and I, in a very agitated fashion, that "The Puerto Ricans. *sniff sniff* They do the cocaina. They fly the plane. BZZZZ BZZZZ! They drop the bomb. IRAQ!" over and over for like 5 minutes, then he threw his fists in the air and yelled "YES!"
3. The Weed Man.
4. The homeless man, wearing antlers, who approached me and the Weed Man outside. "Helllllooooo there hottie! You have a happy mother's day!" Then he gave the Weed Man an empty briefcase, claiming it "was the Marines".

Anyway, a picture tells a thousand words or whatever, so I have about 40,000 words to tell.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah Michelle Gother

My new favorite phrase ever.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I forgot she was wearing that much eyeliner.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicely done, Ally.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I like how my tongue ring makes it look like I'm MISSING A TOOTH in the last pic! That's a good look!

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and Tracer, I'm sorry I posted pix of you but they're really nice, except for the goofy one. Anyway you kept jumping into pictures!

Not enough people are talking about Michael's outfit.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread and the photos is like reading Heat or watching a soap opera, rays of sunshine in my boring working for exams life! (i say this and yet my first one is tomorrow and last night a few cans became a few shots which then turned into a few pills and bed at 6, parents unhappy, me not sure how it all happened, 5 hours of psycho good fun turns into next day GUILT!)

Ronan (Ronan), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Ronan, this thread is totally my reason for not doing my boring exams life, actually. I spent like an hour doing that webpage and the photographs instead of writing an essay.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha god that picture of our booth-crasher is so utterly perfect.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 11 May 2003 21:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I would like to note that I was not the crazy drunk girl hitting on Yancy.

That Girl (thatgirl), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:13 (twenty-two years ago)

You ever heard the saying "he who smelt it, dealt it"? That's all I'm sayin', ya know...

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Jiggawhat? (alt: jiggawatt)

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

THAT IS NOT A FUNNY JOKE.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:49 (twenty-two years ago)

fuck off. it's high-larious.

hey ilx, how does jay-z measure his star power?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)

JIGGAWATTS!

*applause**groans**applause*

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Sunday, 11 May 2003 23:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to beat the shit out of you if you don't stop it with that joke, it's terrible. God. At least Samantha-Tiffany-Debbie Gibson was funny.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:01 (twenty-two years ago)

i've told it now TWICE! and tracer & matos LURVED it!

anyway...

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:03 (twenty-two years ago)

That's cos Tracer and Matos were too busy being stupid and gay with you that they didn't notice how lame you are. What do you have to say now, kid?

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:05 (twenty-two years ago)

*sobs*

Yanc3M0 (ystrickler), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry, ConnorYanc3y.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

It's always a picture of hstencil that gets posted up first, innit? I do say that pic is a vast improvement on the previous one.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

i never thought i'd say this but i miss him.

coincidentally, i'll be entertaining his long game for the next few days (t- 24 hours). i'm dreaming up ways to be subtle. it's hard for me.

"did you know that hstencil has over 10,000 LPs?"

"he's not bad at scrabble either..."

"yes, kentuckians are generally regarded as most gentlemanly of all southerners, but never mention that to a virginian"

"being employed is over-rated... just think of the eBay profits"*

*this is a huge dream for me...

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

You know what I forgot to mention? Michael, I have found a shirt I am going to by for you. It is displayed in the window of Lucky Jeans. It is a white bowling shirt, with "Guido" embroidered where the name would go. It seemed so fateful that I should run across this today.

We had a big discussion about the "long game". Not the person, but the terminology itself. I'm not sure what the outcome was, I was kind of confused by it.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

You mean this, Ally? Did we not all agree that guido-wear was ultimately too avant-garde for me, not to mention far too gay than I could ever possibly be?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 12 May 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, I propose trips to the Rodeo Bar or the Lakeside Lounge so I can have more excuses to wear c&w stuff.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 12 May 2003 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Which reminds me -- leaving aside the panties issue, why did the Ding Dong lounge turn out to be such a bummer in comparison to our normal haunts?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 12 May 2003 01:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Because it was a crusty old man bar, Michael. Nothing is too avant-garde for you, you know, and I honestly mean it. Unless the shirt is like $80 or something, like everything else in Lucky Jeans. Don't take it the wrong way, you are definitely worth $80, but for something far more fabulous than a joke bowling shirt.

I say we just go for it and go to Hogs & Heifers at the next FAP*. That way, you can go western without being too strange, and the girls can dance on the bar and douse everyone with vodka.

* OR FOR JULY 4TH, if that ensures certain people's arrivals.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 01:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Damn, Michael Daddino, you looking good.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Monday, 12 May 2003 06:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Didn't I leave you ravers at the 110th Street station? How did you "veeeeeer off" from the 96th Street subway entrance? I think you are glossing over 14 blocks of additional drunken veeeeeering.

Also, Ally, your camera adds 40 pounds, but only to objects at the edges of the picture. Like Hstencil's arm. It's not THAT much bigger than the other one.

Also: July 4th bathhouse FAP (FAB!) !!!

Paul Eater (eater), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

No, no, Paul--Tracer, Matos, and I needed to take the 1/9, so we did not go to the same station as everyone else did, who took the A/C. HOWEVER, there was no downtown service until you hit 96th Street, so we had to trek down there.

My camera added 40lbs to my face, at the very least. Or maybe that was the boozez, except that I really barely drank at all.

Hehe are we really doing this bathhouse thing? That's so risque.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

gygax!, please check yo email.

hstencil, Monday, 12 May 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

except that I really barely drank at all

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, it's kind of true. I had two drinks before you showed up, at, like, what, 11?

I mean, seriously, go fuck yourself. I didn't even finish most of my drinks, especially the vodka ones because I wasn't very happy with how they made them there.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I drank too much. Felt like fucking shit yesterday. Think I had 5 or 6 beers before I even met y'all.

hstencil, Monday, 12 May 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm just remembering the drink the bartender made you, which you said you couldn't drink. You just seemed to not be feeling so hot then... Sorry.

I didn't drink at all, really. It's a sure sign I'm getting old -- I can't get drunk twice in the same day anymore!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

If we have the bathouse FAP, I can wear my bathing suit with the matching flip flops.

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I had like no drinks at all--I wasn't feeling too hot because it was 3am!

I have an excellent bathing suit, that will be fun.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally you look beautiful in all of the pictures. Love the narrative too. Happy B-day!

Mary (Mary), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think anyone can get drunk twice in the same day, Yanc3y. Two drunknesses = fatal gap in drunkness which will ensure your doom. Ally you weren't feeling hot, are you kidding?? Hm at 3am I felt marvelous. The second bar was so perfect I bet if we tried to find it again it wouldn't exist.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Obviously I wasn't feeling totally non-hot, because I stayed out with you chuckleheads at the Mickey D's. How much money did we give to the Carribean con-artist girls, by the way?

Thank you Mary :) I loved your sweater and I don't think I got a chance to tell you that, mainly because the evil smoking police forced me to be outside too often.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

what can you not smoke in bars anymore up there?

If i make it to the 7/4 FAP I would love to hit Hogs & Hefers and the Rodeo Bar. The latter serves Lone Star. yay.

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I believe the Caribbean con-artist girls got away with 83 of my cents. Hats off to the mother for losing her balance just as the daughter was finishing up the pitch!

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Damn, yo, I gave them a whole dollar.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Good thing I wasn't there. I gave our friend Tiffany $5!

hstencil, Monday, 12 May 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

We're born every minute.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Why did you give her money stence?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I was thinking that I admired her complete lack of hustling skillz, and wanted to at least believe that she had them. Y'know, kind of like "tough love" kinda thing.

hstencil, Monday, 12 May 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

whats up with the tiffany gother hate yall?

gareth (gareth), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, you and her would have been Lovefest #9, Gareth!

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I totally could see that. Though brown is sooooo indie rock.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

"Oh, you're English? I was wondering why you were so pretentious."

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

"But I'm Northern!" "That's even more pretentious, shit."

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm so jealous - looked like y'all had a great night
and ally, LOVED the slit in your dress, looked ultra-glam
and "sarah-michelle gother" haha, that was a brilliant description - the pic is perfect

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 12 May 2003 21:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I wrong, or does Andy B. look strangely 2D in all of those pics?

"Haha, take a picture! It will look just like the real Andy is here at the FAP!"

Paul Eater (eater), Monday, 12 May 2003 21:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, you are my hero.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 12 May 2003 22:52 (twenty-two years ago)

http://homepages.dsl.ca/~sean/dumbstuff/tracergriz.jpg

Fuck. Yes.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 00:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess this means I have to show up in a bear costume for the next NYC FAP, right?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:15 (twenty-two years ago)

That'd be aces, yo.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:17 (twenty-two years ago)

No no, Mike, you have to BRING a bear.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:20 (twenty-two years ago)

That's your job, so book a flight, cowboy.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:22 (twenty-two years ago)

No no, Mike, you have to BRING a bear.

Oh, you'll get the bear alright. [flipping through my little black book.]

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Seriously, though...is it not fucked up that people need ice packs and rotary fans to wear these stupid costumes?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't understand why anyone wears them, I mean, honestly, who the hell wants giant human sized animals roaming around?

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

The Bathhouse FAP photos will only be topped by the photos from the FAP when you all go as furries.

The Bathhouse FAP: WHEN ILXORS GO WILD.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
I have just realized one problem with the bathhouse fap: the too near convergence of bathing suits and cameras.

Mary (Mary), Tuesday, 27 May 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I think our skin would overexpose the film anyway.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 27 May 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Bathing suits + cameras = GREAT! I am all for it. We should do an ILX Pin Up Calendar.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 28 May 2003 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

(This is what I was afraid of.)

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 28 May 2003 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

You don't want to see Tracer in his bikini? :(
