Though he did visit me in here last commercial break to give me a piece of maple candy and play the keyboards really loud for a second...

Sarah Mcluuskkkky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:43 (twenty-two years ago)

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Ripping

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:51 (twenty-two years ago)

You see, Texas Sam, here in Ol' Virginny it's almost 9 in the evenin'. And it's rainy and dark outside which makes it seem later anyways.

Nick drinks faster than me. Can you tell??

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Fucking Ace

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

HI, Millar. Do you wear Hawaiin shirts every day? Or only on special occasions? It makes me think of that guy in office space.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Special occasions.

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:54 (twenty-two years ago)

(I only have two)

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:54 (twenty-two years ago)

(I need more, also more soccer jerseys, but it is a bitch finding a place that sells good soccer jerseys)

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:55 (twenty-two years ago)

What kind of gin are you guys drinking anyway

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

A formal one and an informal one, right?

Nick and I got this video camera from his dad and we're gonna make the awesomest comedy show eVER! (and save the pet store! ha ha).It will totally be like that bikini movie in the 80s where they put on a fashion show to save the surf shop. But they planned it so the bikinis would dissolve in water and made LOADS of money!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I am also watching L&O on TNT. Have only had a couple of beers though. Might head out later.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt. I have many. Millar and I are one in the Tiki.

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

IT'S TURKEY TIME!

Tad (llamasfur), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

eeewwww

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmmm... Nick said he got the medium-priced gin. Let's ask...
Ok, I yelled into the other room but he must be in the kitchen. Uh, will find out STAT!

Orbit, you're new to my world. You're a CHIxor, right?

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Now I'm pissed my ex was such a teetotaller.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

yup, hear me roar and all that

Orbit (Orbit), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

All right. It's Tanqueroy or something like that. If that's a cheap kind, what can I say? Nick ain't mr. moneybags.

I don't have ANY hawaiin shirts. Woe is me.

It's too hot to wear one now though in my apartment. Oh my god is it ever hot in here, esp. in the computer room. Except Nick just spilled a tiny bit of his drink on me which was refreshing. He was taking a quick break from L&O. Aren't we lucky?

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Turkey is forever tainted now. Curse Bennifer.

Larcole (Nicole), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Turkey leftovers after Thanksgiving take on a whole new light...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Blech! Stop talking about j lo and ben having weird sex on my thread!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Sensible question. In America do the same shows go out at different times in different timezones? In other words could someone in California be watching the midnight horror show at teatime? (Do you have teatime over there?)

thoth (Jake Proudlock), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. They announce it like this:
11pm Eastern ; 10 PM Central; 7PM Pacific

Orbit (Orbit), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:10 (twenty-two years ago)

except that i can't count.
that's 10pm Eastern

Orbit (Orbit), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

9pm Central
7pm Pacific

Orbit (Orbit), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

No we don't have teatime. Unless you seek it out at a tea room.

Orbit (Orbit), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:12 (twenty-two years ago)

What's that to do with anything?

Nick is slurring his words! It's emabrassing me in front o' the cats!

I'm not much good at drinking anywhere other than the house because then it seems like it's a lot of effort to get home and it wears me out.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

2.30 a.m. GMT and I've just finished work. So I think I'll get drunk too.

Matt (Matt), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Watching three L&O's in a row is not madness.

Oh wow, look, there's a leftover bottle of cider in the fridge. Wheeeee!

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

When I lived in the Mountain time zone, I was always pissed that they skipped over us like we weren't important. There are four time zones in the continental united states: (west to east) Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern. Central and Eastern watch things simultaneously...Friends is on at 8 Eastern and 7 Central. They delay it for the other time zones.

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Those bastards! I didn't even know about Mountain time zone, teeny! The world needs to know!

Is it woodchuck, rosemary?

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I know like 8 billion places to buy soccer jerseys, wtf.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Pepper's a smart cat I think, just a bit of a bully to poor lucy.

See, lucy was a tiny kitten when toonies (aka pepper) was already big. And pepper was beat up by her siblings cuz she was a runt kitten. So then she took it out on lucy. And now lucy is really big and fat but she's still scared of toons. but anyway, today nick and I were sayin' lucy would be DOUGAL on father ted. She's all wide-eyed and silly.

nick's funny cuz he comes in here on commercial and asks fer updates.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:46 (twenty-two years ago)

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I like limes in my drink! I post all the time during the week. I don't do work at work anymore cos I'm on strike. And then I leave on my internet while I'm doing shit at home. This is because the only people who have my landline # are people I don't want to talk to, so if I'm on internet all the time I have excuse to never take their calls.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Miccio I'm calling you out...remember NYC maaaaan? Wewere all there and this shit was hot and wherez everyone else

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:54 (twenty-two years ago)

whuh? NYC was the bomb, but...whuh?

I've only posted on ILX drunk once (the "Dancing Days" thread) and I kinda regret it. Thankfully I will not be around a computer for the next few hours. But I will drink a few for NA, McLusky and the rest of the people who were in NYC. maaaan. ;)

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:54 (twenty-two years ago)

It didn't mean anything! Someone else said it should be said instead of "I kiss you" but I don't like it so much. I'd rather kiss people than put them out!

Ant NYC IS the bomb, not wuz, wtf, where are YOU when we should all hang out. Not here.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha! 70% of my posting to ILX is done drunk. It's my wind-down after work.

Matt (Matt), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Mind if I meditate to the last sentence of your post, Ally?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Not at all.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:58 (twenty-two years ago)

You know, alls I'm doing is getintg drunker. Maybe I should spnd some time away from the computer.

oh no. Peper is in this chair that spins around. She's tryingto sleep. And Nick is spinning it around like crazy. She better not start havinga puke party again!

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 01:01 (twenty-two years ago)

my cat had a puke party today and then ATE IT while I was at work, why? I don't eat my puke, why should he?

i am going to be going now! I must leave the puke party. Maybe I will find Ant?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 01:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Now Sarah is watching queereyefor a straight guy and she said to say that the fashion guy (carter? or the blonde guy?) looks like crispin glover but meow fuck that. Anthonydude dont' worry I don't mean anyting by anything. But hey, remember the 80's? And remember when they wouldn't play anything but shit on the fourth of july at the port? That was the happiest day of my life. Just kidding.
I quote: "Ant NYC is the bomb." I wish I was an ant in NYC, living on the spent seed of the masses in the cracks of time square, the pretzels of tourists at the STATUE OF LIBERTY (AAAH!). Both of my eyes won't focus at once. d

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 01:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Dang...and I thought Richmond was a quiet Southern town.

Oh, an ex of mine has a cat that would eat the other cat's puke. Even more levels of sickness!

Psh. My Pepper's got mad skills. She's ... well, she naps a lot, actually, and hides under beds. She hid inside a couch once, though (not under, not in the cushions, inside it)! Your Pepper couldn't even find my Pepper!

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 03:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, first of all my Pepper is a dude. Second, he hid inside a motherfucking sleeper sofa a few months ago. I thought he up and left--had me on the verge of tears he did.
They could have a hide-and-seek duel! minus the seek part of course.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 03:10 (twenty-two years ago)

My Pepper did the same thing -- the day the movers came to take Everything But The Couch (they do a great cover of "Missing", all but acapella with musical zippers). I went all over the place outside looking for her, and the little weenie had crawled inside the couch and ignored my calling for her.

So yeah, their face-off would be ... prolonged.

I'm still doubled over in laughter over the thought of N[ick ]A actually watching a program entitled "Lawn Order". That's, like, the perfect name for a new gardening program on HGTV, and the thought of someone watching three episodes straight of that is just... just... so not a "goes great with drunkeness" type of thing. At least, not to me. Maybe there are those individuals who love watching gardening programs while imbibing in the spirits of the liquid sort. I dunno. *shrug*

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm wondering now if Millar thinks I'm an asshole becuase I've been rude to Ally before. Does Miller think Ally is a delicate queen, unworthy of my company?

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:11 (twenty-two years ago)

(I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this whole "Kenan is an asshole" mystery.)

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Kenan, I once thought you were an asshole. You got all uptight about fandom and that pissed me, a lil' fangirl, off.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I am an asshole about that. That, I'll accept.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Fandom is a subject I'm quickly learning I should just lay off of entirely. It's a powerful force. I think it's often (but certainly not always) a sign that people are taking music too lightly, and not getting everything out of it that they could be, but the fans involved will always adopt the position that I'm an elitist prick who just doesn't understand that the way they listen to music is different than the way I do, and that their position is equally valid, and that they *love* music whereas I just cynically pick it apart, but none of that is even close to the truth. The closest analogy I can think of is Jessa, who dares to point out on her popular blog that Harry Potter books are *childrens books* for chrisskaes, people, and that the number of adults that read them and take them wholly to heart is disturbing. She regularly gets foaming, teeth-gnashing, bile-filled e-mails about this, which really only proves her point. No one in either scenario seems to understand that music/literature is bigger than themselves, and has a life of its own outside of them.

But maybe this is a whole different thread.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it's often (but certainly not always) a sign that people are taking music too lightly, and not getting everything out of it that they could be,

If you think this then you are completly, absolutely, not even getting close to understanding the POV of the fan-sters. Not. Even. Close.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess not. I must admit, I fell a kind of automatic revulsion toward fansters. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just always thinking about Tori Amos fans.

But in my defense, I'm sure Sam will appreciate the fact that I know every word to slmost every Old 97's song.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:51 (twenty-two years ago)

WEll that's a good thing Kenan. I was thinking more specifically of my Paul's Boutique and Asylum Street Spankers tattoos.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Sam, I am very wary of getting into this too deep with you or anyone from the other side of my argument. I feel that music is one of the most important forces in my life, and to hold one band or one sound up on a pedestal will only limit my ability to grow as music grows, and to worship the next worthy band that comes along appropriately. I feel like fandom is a shortcut to old age.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 06:59 (twenty-two years ago)

BTW: I know every lyric to Paul's Boutique, too.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:02 (twenty-two years ago)

yr allowing yr own viewpoint to be laid on top of other people's experience and are then cutting away the excess and calling them invalid. not good. How you experience the world (and, e.g. music) is not the same as and not either greater nor less, than how other people experience it.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:18 (twenty-two years ago)

See, I told you this was another thread entirely.

Ok, Sam, but if you carry that argument to its logical conclusion, you get music as a totally subjective experience, which I refuse to believe. If I'm to avoid laying my experience with music over anyone else's, then I'm to avoid expressing any opinion about it at all. And I do have opinions. And some of them are even useful.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:25 (twenty-two years ago)

but why should your opinions and personal subjective experiences exclude anyone else's?

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Why should they included everyone else's? That not an opinion, it's an Entertainment Weekly review.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:28 (twenty-two years ago)

included = include

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Because the world is comprised of more people than yourself.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure, but a lot of them have bad taste.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:30 (twenty-two years ago)

yay! I hope you two had lots of fun! It sounds like it!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Sam, just as I seem unsympathetic to the fan mind to you, you seem to not understand the critical mind. It's a known schism, but whwnever critics try to bridge it, they always end up comprimising their own opinions. Fan boys and girls are over here on this side of the line, and critics and intellectuals and theorists are over on this other side of the line, and they really have little to say to each other.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I think self-proclaimed "critics" and "intellectuals" need to remove that huge stick out of their ass and make the world a much better place.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:53 (twenty-two years ago)

"critics" and "intellectuals" need to remove that huge stick out of their ass

omg. Anyone who's been to college to thread.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:56 (twenty-two years ago)

The sticky thing is not the theory or the intellectualism, it's that when it comes to popular music, everyone believes themselves an expert just because they like what they like. You know, I like hamburgers. That doesn't make it good food.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 07:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Fan boys and girls are over here on this side of the line, and critics and intellectuals and theorists are over on this other side of the line, and they really have little to say to each other

the schism is the chimera. there is no difference between the 2. those that define themselves as fans are simply self-aware, those that define themselves as critics are engaged in a process of self-justification. there self-imposed separation from the world of fandom merely highlights the inappropiateness as cultural commentators. if you separate from the masses, why should they be interested in your words?

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Hamburgers are excellent food, what are you talking about? Seriously there's a reason I avoid ILM like the plague. If I *ever* start sounding like half you fules when you talk about music I hope someone puts a shotgun to my head and puts the world out of its misery.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Lordy, how much do I heart Sarah and Nick right now!? It's 10am and pissing it down here, but in my mind it's a cosy night in Virginia and I'm sloshing Tanqueray around and rocking out with the kittens yay! You were soooo funny!

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't post there much either, you may notice, but just because they bore me. And yes, I like hamburgers, too, and I also will to a point defend the new Liz Phair album. None of that is here nor there.

Gareth raises the real issue. If you don't care about what people are actually listening to, why should they listen to you?

But I say, that's exactly my point in the beginning. Fandom cripples the ability to see across the board, cripples the abilty to see what other people are listening to and why. Good critics and good theorists have an ability that fans don't -- to see a level deeper and understand how and why people are listening to what they are listening to. That's the job, and I will forever maintain that it's important.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Archel, I'm sorry. We're all sadly on the wrong thread now.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah well I just ignored all your parts, obviously :)

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Good for you.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:13 (twenty-two years ago)

eh kenan? i was saying your schism doesnt exist

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I understand what you said, Gareth. But you said that critics should not exist at all, and I cannot help but disagree. So I took you point and... er... molded it it a little.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i didnt say they shouldnt exist. i said that if they disengage from subject matter then they cease to exist. although, if taking from purely sociological anger then disengagement is ok

or, to put it another way, its not that critics shouldnt exist, or even that critics dont exist, more that there is no such thing as a non-critic. the boundary you place between critics and fans doesnt exist. you made it up

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, I suppose I did. But I don't think I'm alone in thinking that fans are critics who don't know what they're talking about.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:29 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread is a beautiful thing.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:30 (twenty-two years ago)

fans are critics who don't know what they're talking about.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:37 (twenty-two years ago)

i am so thankful that the gatekeepers are dusty and dead now

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 08:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll tell you what, Gareth. Let's pretend this is the movie Titanic. I'll be the upper-deck elitists, who are all like "I hate poor people! I hate these scum! I'm better than everyone!" Ok? So that's me. And you'll be the below-deck oh-so-charming poor people, who are always fun-loving, and dance a lot and love life so much more than those upper-deck scum. So then we'll both be shallow, stupid charicatures, and then at least we will have found some common ground to stand upon.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 09:51 (twenty-two years ago)

er, ok, maybe later this evening, shall we say, um, 7.30?

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 09:55 (twenty-two years ago)

what i want to know is if nick and sarah tried to have sex last night.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Great thread. I'm with Kenan. But I also would get down on my knees if I met Louise Wener.

thoth (Jake Proudlock), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 10:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually Kenan you could take a page out of every other ILXorz' book and just decide to forget about it when I call you an asshole. I think I've done that to nearly everybody here at least once just about. I've certainly done it to all of my friends. Give it a rest.

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 10:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris V, You have to pay for an answer to that.

This thread got way too serious after I left. What I shame.

And now it's 9 in the morning and I'm at work.

But it's pouring down rain and hardly anyone's in the office (including my boss) so that makes me happy. I'm cozying up to some coffee.

But yeah, last night was fun. Nick made up his own theme song to Queer eye for a straight guy during one of the commercials. He was just wearing boxers and strumming his accoustic guitar in the middle of the living room. I sang improv backups of course. It was truly beautiful.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

tanqueray = the best gin in the world - i was drinking it last night, too...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

The thing is, I kind of am a delicate queen unworthy of Kenan's company, you know?

Too bad I'm no longer drunk on two shots otherwise I'd be all gross and emo like all the drunk people were! Sucks to go to sleep and wake up sober!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Who was gross and emo?

But yeah, waking up sober is dumb.

Sarah MClusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Tom was gross and emo. Not you or Nick, you guys were fucking great. I should post that cat in every thread.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:55 (twenty-two years ago)

You totally should.

Sarah Mclusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Kenan, you make me sad. We need to chat once you get to Chicago. Gareth absolutely, positively OTM re: no difference between fans and critics.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I am so sorry I missed this party.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Me too, luna. But I know you needed your beauty sleep.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

that is the best picture of all time

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Nah, I was at a friend's house writing a paper, or I SO WOULD HAVE BEEN DRUNK, TOO. I don't like to let people drink alone, yanno.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I wonder how long it took them to train the cats to smoke?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

You know they do catnip. I mean, just look at that cat's eyes!

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:19 (twenty-two years ago)

He's got his arms all out too, like a drunk trying to steady himself.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

You know, I like hamburgers. That doesn't make it good food.

Then what DOES make something good food? Having critics praise it, even though no one else might actually like it?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Did you ever know that you're my hero?

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Hamburgers are good food anyway. Cheeseburgers especially. All the food groups are there... cheese = dairy, bun = grain, burger = meat, ketchup = fruit, pickles = vegetable.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone knows food is only good if it cost $100 a head and the waiter spit in it after doing lines in the back with the bus boy, wtf.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I read that as "after doing lines off the back of the bus boy", which may be more accurate.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Then what DOES make something good food?

Maybe I should have said, hamburgers are good, but it's not the end-all be-all of food. On a sliding scale, thay're not even that good.

Now hot dogs...

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:24 (twenty-two years ago)

So if someone says: "cheeseburgers are my favorite food. I've tried all that fancy stuff and still like them best", you'd tell them they don't know what's good?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone knows food is only good if it cost $100 a head and the waiter spit in it after doing lines in the back with the bus boy, wtf.

Pardon that thunk: I just laughed my ass off---literally.

So if someone says: "cheeseburgers are my favorite food. I've tried all that fancy stuff and still like them best", you'd tell them they don't know what's good?

Certainly not. They are allowed to have their own opinion....even if they aren't being paid to express it.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude I got called emo and then immediately preceded to get all emo about it. Getting emo about being called emo C/D???

I got over it though, I was like, shit man, I may be an emo loser but at least I ain't Kenan Hebert.

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I meant "gross and emo" as a compliment though, it's cute.

At least you aren't an untravelled tit who is responsible for mass murder like me!!!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm gonna do a bunch of pushups and crunches and scissor kicks until I get all the emo out, right now

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I'm going to go get a hamburger.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm gonna keep drinking some goddamned Yoo-Hoo. WTF I have never had this before, how did my childhood suck so badly?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 18:51 (twenty-two years ago)

okay well at least my triceps aren't emo anymore

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck. Now we'll never win Hipster Bingo.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

finishing second set of 50 scissor kicks to find that yr pulse is in perfect rhythm with "Throw" by the Paperclip People = CLASSIC

I think my ankles might still be emo though

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, we get it. You're not emo. It's cool. Calm down, Rivers.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah but Paperclip People!

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I just wanted to interject something that has nothing to do with any of this, cos I tire of emo exercise. Someone at my office just said "This place is like Hiroshima". I swear to you this was just said. What. The. Fuck.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

They have shadows of dead people permanently burnt into the walls? I swear you work in the freakiest office.

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

We still have that massive wall destruction from the chair throwing incident...that's sort of like nuclear holocaust, right?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:18 (twenty-two years ago)

*sigh*

You people's knee-jerk egalitarianism is exhausting. You'll apparently all defend to the death the idea that nothing is better than anything else, and nothing needs to be said about it. I'll just leave you all to your happy commune, I guess.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

So what you're saying is that a hamburger is NOT better than crabcakes? I agree.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

"happy commune"

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:24 (twenty-two years ago)

He's referring to the lezzing up.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure, some stuff is crap and some stuff is great, but no one agrees on which is which.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't even agree with myself most of the time.

What was this thread about? Oh yes, getting drunk. :)

So should we go see the Pirates of the Carribean tonight or what?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

And can I come?

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure. Would you prefer the theater closest to my house (slightly cheaper but a bit dingy) or the one further away with stadium seating and lots of neon on the marquee?

And do you insist on popcorn with your movie or no?

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I know Ally would say no to the popcorn, but I was raised this way! I must have my popcorn and drink.

But due to my egalitarianism, I will not try to convince anyone to insist on popcorn. :) (not trying to start anything, kenan - you're lovely)

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

The further away one is likely closer to Bloomington, and stadium seats rock.

Ally's some kind of mutant. Popcorn with a movie, of course! And a medium Mr Pibb and sour patch kids or nonpareils.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to come too!

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

FAP

(Fancy A Pirate)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not a mutant, you fuckers.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not plural, you mutant.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Tep
Tad
Ted
Tep
Tad
Tep
Ted?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

ok! I want nickalicious to come too - complete with eye patch!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

And once again, MOTHERFUCKERS FORGOT ABOUT TAP! (But even so, I'm only one of those people, I barely have enough time for Tep, much less the rest.)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

MOTHERFUCKERS FORGOT ABOUT TAP!

that ass.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Still T.A.P.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious and momus just switched places

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

The concert on Friday will be intriguing.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I've never forgotten about Tap. He still hasn't called me. I weep.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

hey Sarah and Nick, are you both going to the Charlottesville show tomorrow? Email me...

hstencil, Wednesday, 30 July 2003 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
Another crazy drunken night in Richmond va. Beers (Brooklyn Pilsner) for NA and pina coladas for Sarah. Nothin like gettin wasted and watching a foreign movie for sheer confustion. Now we;re waiting for shitty sketch comedy to come on.
love, Nick

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 01:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I like the word confustion.

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm playing guitar and I was just playing Smell s like Tenen Piris for some reason. Listen I know that wasmistpelled but uopi knw what I meaj. Anyu ways I haven't palyed Smells like Teen Spirit in a long time. FF A#A# G#G# C#C# is how it goes. More than a feeling.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:06 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahaha "Tenen Piris," beautiful

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the typos.

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Well tough shit because I'm going to let Sarah get on the ocmputer now and ... oh wait, it will just be more typos. Enjoy.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you! Make sure you hydrate yourself though, I made the mistake of not doing so Thursday night and Friday was a world of sweaty pain.

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi. I don't know how mcuh I can type cuz I feel like I'm surfing but I've never been. You know what ? I mean?

Hi.

We were watching this movie with Audrety Tatoo but it wasn't really a romantic comedy. In fact it was rated PG-13 for obsessive behavior cuz she was basically stalking this guy and tries to kill him and stuff.

Sarah McLujsky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

They have a rating for obsessive behavior?

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:16 (twenty-two years ago)

PG-OCD

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah. It was weird. It said, "PG-13 for thematic elements and obsessive behavior" or something like that. Sucks huh? Usually we pick our movies based on how many things they list after the rating. You know, sexuality and drug use are good ones. Mild sexuality is a bit dissapointing. Obsedssive behavior is funny. It's like they don't want kids to think it's ok to stalk someone and try to klil them.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Most movies are about people with obsessive behavior anyway.

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

We should rate ILE threads that way. "PG-13 for bag of dicks."

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:27 (twenty-two years ago)

what's even scarier is when people try to kill you passively, like ignoring something they know is a potential danger. or fucking with your car. like that cary grant movie.
so is that movie PG-Passive-Aggressive? Yes, I believe it is, now if only I could remember the name of it.

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:27 (twenty-two years ago)

PG actually originally stood for Passive-'Gressive.

s1utsky (slutsky), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

"Suspicion"! I think that's the name of the film!

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure I've seen that movie, Orbit, whatever it is. Cary Grant = pure classy gentleman. I'm dizzy as a loony toon.

Today was fun. We went to our favorite coffee shop, saw Freaky Friday, read magazines for free at the bookstore (do this a lot), Nick had a sandwchih at his favorite place, we saw a band play that we're sort of friends with, I got a new shirt & a Third Sex cd & this book Nick found for me at a yard sale that's a romantic comedy but has band stuff in it... And * big breath * Nick wants to type and I need to get some filtered water. Bye.

Sarah McLUjsky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:32 (twenty-two years ago)

meow

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh geez, this is the motherfuckers forgot about Tap thread.

You guys are fun drunk :)

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I have to go because they're doing the Brian Fellows sketch on SNL.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I would be drinking -- I even have a bottle of Andre Spumante, my favorite three-dollar booze, which I was gonna combine with juice and tequila -- but I've ended up working. Maybe I'll join you soonish.

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:42 (twenty-two years ago)

hi sarah i am the dog version of you. i recently delurked. i am hijacking this thread but not really because i am just lurking drunk.

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Holy shit that was funny. I wish ther ew as a video of just the Brian Fellow s skecthces from SNL.

BRian: "I was attacked by a pigeon once."
Animal guy: "I'm sorry."
Brian: "That's ok, I was asking for it."

Allyson are yuou lurking drunking or are you drurking lunk? Ask yourself that?

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

i just asked myself, and myself said that i'm your momma.

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Argh!

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

brian fellows sayys, "my eyes may have been pecked out by monkeys, but at least i delurked!"

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:54 (twenty-two years ago)

"That bug is weird!"

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 02:57 (twenty-two years ago)

"Wow that mouth is large!"

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi, allyson.
Welcome to the show. I mean, this thread.
It's so fuckin hot in our apartment. Oh my god.

My youngest sister is just getting back from Paris tonight. I saw this bit on the news where they said that all these people are dieing over there due to the heat because lots of folks don't have AC. They don't even have AC in the hospitals! It's horrible. I decided she's not allowed to retire there.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:04 (twenty-two years ago)

hi sarah, nice to meet you, by the way i think you know my ex-boyfriend's brother's first-year roommate, or at least firendster tells me so. how can they not have ac in hospitals. wow. tjat's f'ed up.

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Uh, that's weird, allyson. Can you hint at who it is? Or might be?

Nick just said Toons (ie: Pepper, our cat) is crazy. Most likely, she's still on the couch trying to sleep and he's bugging her to make her mad.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:15 (twenty-two years ago)

andy something, yeah it's weird.

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

If it's who I think it is... I met him through band stuff. My band played with his band and we hit it off. Actually, I hit it off with the whole band and then met their friends. He's really great.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes I was bugging the cat. She was trying to sleep and I kept petting her belly which she hates but she was too tired to attack me so she just acted pissed off.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:26 (twenty-two years ago)

yeh! he seemed nice when i met him. and i love jason, his 1st yr roommate at uva. dearly. xpst

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't worry I know Andy too and he's a nice guy. Don'/t know his roommate though.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:29 (twenty-two years ago)

that's cool. no you probably don't know jason. it was a long time ago and they both dropped out.

allyson (schmanktenputchka), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Well Sarah is falling asleep on the couch so I should probably go and get her into bed. Goodnight all my ILX drunkards and pals. One love. Peace.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 24 August 2003 03:53 (twenty-two years ago)

The original "Nutty Professor" has the warning "Contains Mild Horror"

m.s (m .s), Sunday, 24 August 2003 07:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Crazy drunks. I almost stayed home after work tonight and got drunk off my own beer. *However* I went out. Turns out my bartneder had been in a car wreck earlier and had been trying to get ahold of me to work her shit (I missed the call as I was working at the restaurant). By the time I showed up however I was able to stock beer all night, clean tables, wash dishes and sell one end of the bar. I made $40 and got all my drinks free. Yay!

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Sunday, 24 August 2003 07:41 (twenty-two years ago)

i was drunk last night at some bar, it all went a bit Morrissey, now im sittin around hungover wearing a bob dylan tshirt and trying to listen to music and wishing i wasnt heterosexual.

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Sunday, 24 August 2003 08:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i should clarify, when i say "went a bit Morrissey", i mean "how soon is now", rather than "william it really was nothing". and the wishing for gayness is mostly cos of the crueslty of women.

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Sunday, 24 August 2003 08:27 (twenty-two years ago)

aw god im still a bit drunk this is grat!

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Sunday, 24 August 2003 08:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm still awake because if I fall asleep we are all going to die. My consciousness is the only thing preventing complete and utter apocalypse. You can all thank me by buying my record when it comes out; "The Only Millar Record You'll Ever Need," by Millar, to be re-released a decade later as "Millar's Greatest Hits!" with three bonus remixes.

Millar (Millar), Sunday, 24 August 2003 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

It's Monday morning. I'm completely sober, plus I've got caffeine running through my veins so my eyes are bulging out of my head and I look like an alien.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 25 August 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
This thread makes me want a margarita.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread is sooo great!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha! I just realized NA might see this thread at work and think I'm at home drinkin'.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, golly, I'm a stupid hick. How can Sarah be two places at once? Duh, I'm stupid.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 17:29 (twenty-two years ago)

one month passes...
Today was the fukcing est fuckall of cufk. And then I got home and had some sweet potatoes nick made (After bailing out my dumb car). Then I talked to my dad on the phone cuz he called. Then I had margaritas. Hi.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 22:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Go Sarah!

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 22:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks, O Nate.
I just realized I said on another thread that I wish I could have been hosed at work today. That's not whatg I meant.

I meant literally beczu I had gone on a walk and it was 80 degrees outside.

I'm excited abotu Chicago.

Sarah McLuksky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 22:56 (twenty-two years ago)

hi!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 22:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Go Chicago!

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

hi, teeny.

I just told everyone on the FUCK YOU! thread to go fuck themselves, but I kept hitting submit and it wouldn't SUBMIT!

Yeah, GO CHICAGO!

Yesterday, I bought two books - the Newcomers guide to Chicago and TIME OUT Chicago and that was fun.

Today Ispent some time looking at picturing chicago.com or something like that.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I love Chicago. I'm not drinking margaritas yet, though, but I kinda wish I was.

Get in Sarah!

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I've never been to Chicago myself, but if I went there, I'd try to arrange it so I could see a show at the Empty Bottle.

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe I can leave near a cool venue. Isn't that in Ukranian Village?

It sure is hard to type...

I AM DRUNKA ND POIIGING FROM HOLME SHOCCKAH! ha ha

Nick was watching trigger happy tv for a sec. Ha ha

SarahMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, you're moving there? I thought you were just going to visit. Awesome. I'm not sure where the EB is, but supposedly they have lots of cool avant-garde jazz shows there.

o. nate (onate), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

SMcLusky-

I challenge you to a Literati best of 3 tournament!

-gygax!

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. We're moving there b/w xmas nad thanksgiving. Turkey day. But not for me cuz I
m a veggetarian. So its Nick.

Now Nick is watching some Ministry video and toons is trying to sit on my lap but there's a laptop there.

Sarah JMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you being serious, gygax! I could maybe go for one game, but I know sure as fuck that I couldn't last out there. I'm hanging on my a thread.

Pepper was just licking my arm. Must've dropped some margaritas there.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:28 (twenty-two years ago)

some play literati (under the influence)...

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you under such influence?

Do you know how to open a second screen in safari?

SarahMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

apple-t!

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

no and no. sorry SMc!

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:33 (twenty-two years ago)

But are you up for literati?

Nick is gonna take a turn for asec. LIke the California Governor, well, you know...

Sarah JMcLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

i can't right this moment, but one day, i promise i will play you!

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to say that to my piano. In retrospect, I was lying.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not drunk. But I'm watching Law & Order. Rock.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick drank just as much as me, but he's one touch cookie! TOUGH cookie!

And spoeaking of cookies, he's going to buy cat cookies for hte cats and chocolate chip cookies for me at the corner store. He's good stuff. I take back the fucktard statement.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 23:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Is he a tough cookie because he's stale?

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

NO!!!

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, you better chew on him and make sure.

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

NO!! like I said.

I do what I want!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

The kitties bite nick enough as it is.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:18 (twenty-two years ago)

That's because he tastes like kibble.

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, why aren't you on AIM? What up with that?

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

They tell me he isn't stale.

Guess what?! Nick's kitty Lucy is a fatty fat fat! It's true. She had avet checkup today and the vet said she was one and half pounds overweight. ha ha. She's a cute pudge though.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, I don't know. I used to be, like 4 years ago.
I guess it must be on here somewheres.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok, so apparently I don't remember my user name and password. I guess I'll have to sign up somewhere..

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I was drunk!

Allyzay, Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:24 (twenty-two years ago)

That's the spirit, Ally!

I tried a lot again to get on AIM and it kept saying my login was incorrect. Bastard. (not you guys, AIM)

How can I get a new user name and password? Can I change it in preferences? WHAT EVS.

Nick is watching his 3rd episode of law && order. I'm gonna watch Quuer eye at 10 if I make it that long.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I think when you log in, there should be a pulldown box where your user name is. They should have an option for "New User" and you could click on that and it'd take you to the website sign up? Or you could try the AIM website?

Allyzay, Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, you can do it from aim.com, cause I've had to do that like eleven times. I keep getting AIM, hang on to it for a couple weeks, then say "fuck that noise," uninstall it, and end up forgetting my password.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you have OS X? Can you use iChat?

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Something like that, huh Ally? Maybe I'll try sometime when I'm NOT drunk. It sort of impedes my ability to do stuff like set up a new user account.

xpost There's some band on tv and the singer looks liike Gareth (ie: McKinzie?) from The office. But I asked nick what band is that? And he says, "Why do you always expect me to know what some dumb is?" humph!

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:37 (twenty-two years ago)

You should just have us get you the account, Sarah, and then you can change the password. That way we dictate your new name!

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:37 (twenty-two years ago)

("Why do you always expect me to know what some dumb is? I can't make my face into a heart!")

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:38 (twenty-two years ago)

this symbol looks like AOL messenger but it says Ichat on it.

xpost - whatever, go ahead tep you crazy food.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:38 (twenty-two years ago)

You can do AIM through iChat, it's brilliant.

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I meant dumb BAND, ok? dumb BAND!

xpost - I figured.

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Plus you can have it automatically log you in so you never need worry about remembering your password again!

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, fuck. Sign me up! NIck better not pretend to be me though. Can you have two accounts?

This Law & Order is pretty dramatic. Lots of crying and yelling on screen whenever I look up (or maybe it's the other way around).

SarahMcLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I knew what you meant! But it was funnier the way you typed it.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:43 (twenty-two years ago)

chris, Every time I see your new user name, I think of that blonde redhead song where they sing "KA ZU AL TY CASUALTY!" 'cept obviously it would go "CAS U IS TRY Casuistry!"

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I emailed you an AIM name & password, Sarah; I just realized you wouldn't necessarily recognize my real name/email.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I just remembered something that happened.
See, just now a Johnson & Johnson commercial came on so Nick teased me about it.
Anyway, when I was in kindergarten, there was this older guy on the bus (he seemed much older but I can't remember what grade he was in)... He rode my bus. And every day as I got off the bus, he would yell at me, "Bye, Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo!" It really upset me. I didn't cry about it, but it made me mad. So I spent a long time trying to figure out a good come-back.
So one day when he yelled that after me, I yelled back "Curry & Curry Newspaper!"
You should know that:
1- Curry was his last name
2- As far as I know, there is no such thing.
Anyway, I got that out before the bus pulled away and I feel like I scored a major victory in our little war.

xpost Tep, I'm setting your email as spam. J/k! Thanks

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I CAN'T TELL if Sarah McLusky is still drunk or not. Either way, god bless her, cause I am.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

HIS FATHER IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

What are you talking about, mookieproof? Sorry we didn't get to meet you at that FAP but I'm sure you had fun with j lu, huh? Where do you live normally?

I am too drunk!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

That show was on last night. It scares me that i can tell what you're talking about, I watch way too much TV.

Hi Sarah!

JuliaA (j_bdules), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Which show, Julia A?

Thanks, TEp! I'm on Ichat now. Oh shit but now Nick wants the comp8uter. Maybe later. You'll have to tell me sometime how to add friends on there so I can chat.

SarahMcLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Taxation w/o Representation. I live in DC. and I've been watching way too much baseball because Ron Silver now haunts my dreams. Or Kiefer yelling "JUST DO IT"

(i wish i were drunker and didn't have to work tomorrow. is that bad?)

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 00:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Skin, on fox, which they've advertised constantly. okay, maybe i'm thinking of something different than mookieproof. (xp--every time i try to post it's an xp)

(no, it's not bad, mookieproof)

JuliaA (j_bdules), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah's busy watching Queer Eye now, so now I'm theboss of the computer. I realized when I went to the corners tor e that I 'm more drufnk than I realized.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah we got Ichat set up with the name that Tep sent - bagofdicks - but we don't know how to add buddies. Who want s to be our buddy?

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:04 (twenty-two years ago)

This is where we all line up and divulge our AIM names:

quasmarlemeu

Next!

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:06 (twenty-two years ago)

BaggaDix, I figured it'd probably be taken if it was properly spelled :)

I would add you but am not actually on AIM, ironically.

(GlincyGulon, when I am.)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I am "garance80" AIM ME you necrophilic drunks!!!

allyzay, Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:09 (twenty-two years ago)

i invited you to an AIM chat if you'd like Sarah/NA...

JuliaA (j_bdules), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:18 (twenty-two years ago)

time for go to bed; cheers SMcL/NA/JBD/ooooops/etc

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm soooo looking forward to hanging out with Sarah in Chicago.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I love it when you are in 'lush' mode! hoorah for Sarah & Nick!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 10:24 (twenty-two years ago)

And then they lush up.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 10:47 (twenty-two years ago)

*sigh*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks for the insane AIM chat y'all. It made my head hurt like 1000 dogs. So I went to sleep.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:38 (twenty-two years ago)

There is nothing wrong with Law and Order, I'll have you know. It is the second best cop drama on TV! (It is tied for first place with CSI, though.)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:40 (twenty-two years ago)

CSI blows. (based on that one episode I watched that one time).

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I know that now, kate. I have become a bit of a fan, even though Nick crushes on Angie Harmon.

Going to work after such a fun night is hard. And the news about Elliott Smith is abruptly sobering.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:54 (twenty-two years ago)

CSI blows. (based on that one episode I watched that one time).

You've seen 'em all, Nick.

As far as painfully formulaic shows go, I'm a Law and Order man.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Nah, NA. CSI is really amazing, maybe you caught a rub episode. It's quite similar to Law & Order, except with SCIENCE and MEDICINE as well as law. It's got the same sort of attention to detail, and weird legal plottwists, as well as actually paying attention to the characters, as well as being a whodunnit.

kate (kate), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't MAKE me start a taking sides thread about it, cause I've already started 3 threads today!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 11:57 (twenty-two years ago)

CSI is lame because all the actors are unnaturally young and good-looking, which makes it more fakey, and they have stupid reenactments of what happened, which are cheezy. Whereas Law & Order is stuck in the now and most of the actors are realistically aged and only decent looking (except for the standard hot cop and assistant DA).

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

a friend of my wife and I starred on law an order a couple years back. She played a girl who killed her baby.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

But CSI is far superior.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

CSI is lame because all the actors are unnaturally young and good-looking,

WHAT?!?!? But they've got the tough ugly ginger bloke who shouts at everyone! (Maybe that's CSI Miami, but I don't see any difference between them.)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Right, and then you've got like 5 beautiful people who are somehow experts in ballistics and gunpowder and shit even though they're like 25. And I think you are thinking of the Miami one.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

one month passes...
Hey, guys. I'm going to attempt to make a hot totty for myself.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:10 (twenty-two years ago)

sarah be careful
if you don't spell it 'toddy'
it will taste all gross

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah a hot totty would be like a feverish child.

o. nate (onate), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, how embarassing. I did that in another thread too.

It is a bit more lemony than Nick makes it, but still good. Ta da!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Where is everyone ? Don't they know that this is the place to be Friday night? DUH.

Guess wot movie I'm watching.

"Your ladyship is very kind."

"INdeed, we are deeply obliged..."

"This is all very vexing. I am quite put out!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know what movie that is but I'm drunk on white rusians and watching Bill Grahm ride a giant joint down to the stage at Winterland for a Grateful Dead concert on PBS. Is this really happening? I know they're strapped for cash, but WTF?

BrianB, Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm ricocheting
between "What Not to Wear" and
posting here. And buzzed.

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:12 (twenty-two years ago)

It's Pride &Prejudice.

So, my cell phone rang in the bedroom. I ran to get it, slipped on some newspapers, banged my left hand on the door, and answered the phone with "FUCK!"

It was my little sister.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:14 (twenty-two years ago)

is she nine years old?
if so go apologize.
if not, drink some more

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:15 (twenty-two years ago)

careful girl!
banish all running-provoking devices for the night...;-)

Orbit (Orbit), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw, she's only 21. It's not really her age though. She's very prim and proper and goes to Christian rock concerts. Because of me, she'll have to pray harder tonight.

(xpost - yeah, I'm totally not answering the phone again. What a literal pain!)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

The glossy inserts will get you every time.

BrianB, Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Well Haiks,

Is What Not To Wear
the greatest load of crap that
has ever been shot?

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I think the end is always bizarre - when the person shows their family how they turned out.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:22 (twenty-two years ago)

no Fred Nerk no way,
Stacey London rocks my world;
I get lots of tips!

it's no good tonight--
dude thinks he's all humorous,
better with women

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:24 (twenty-two years ago)

My sister couldn't remember the name of "What Not To Wear".
"What's that one show? Something with 'what' in it... 'What the Fuck Are You Wearing?!??!?'"

oops (Oops), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:33 (twenty-two years ago)

That's great. That's what it really should be called.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:34 (twenty-two years ago)

"I can see that you are well. Excellent! Excellent!"

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I wrong to think
that Stacey is REALLY HOTT?
or just quite well-dressed?

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I've switched over to it, so as to research your question.

She is definitely not hott. Not even hot. She's somewhat annoying. Perhaps that's the quirky attraction.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:49 (twenty-two years ago)

oh no mclusky
you are either very wrong
or my heart's now DEAD.

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe she's your True Love. Don't let me stand in the way!

Oh, no wait, that would be your wife?

But yeah, I'm not very good at finding women attractive that men do.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe Sarah has reverse beer goggles.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Or hot toddy goggles rather.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:58 (twenty-two years ago)

haha my wife does
not find Stacy attractive
either. OH MY HEART

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I am noticing this woman, who plays Elizabeth, has big bags under her eyes. So maybe you're right, Julia. But it makes me feel better because I have dark rings under my eyes too. Someone, tell me how to make them go away!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:04 (twenty-two years ago)

you need this one cream
I saw on "Queer Eye" that worked
wonders for this dude...

oh my god I'm now
outing myself as That Guy
Who Watches Those Shows

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I love it when there are people with actual flaws on television.

Haikunym, do you mean the Bowie-lookalike guy?

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:07 (twenty-two years ago)

It's ok, Haikunym. I saw that episode too, but of course I didn't catch the name of the cream. Plus, I need one for women - you know, some pink sassy packaging.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:08 (twenty-two years ago)

"Bowie-lookalike"
by this do you mean "hippie
taxidermist dude"?

because yeah thats him
his teen daughter was so nice!
the guys wanted him

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:11 (twenty-two years ago)

He was annoying when he performed that song though.

SO full of himself

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, the hippie taxidermist dude. I thought they just gave him some sort of general eye cream. To moisturize and maybe help the wrinkles.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I am so drunk that I've started two new threads - that's three for the day - totally uncalled for! I am mad!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know how much longer I can go on without falling asleep.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Nobody's telling me what to do! Grr!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, jeez. I'm posting to myself again, aren't I?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 04:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you, dear Sarah, for posting these threads and messages. They have provided me with glorious entertainment when I've been desperately in need of it. I'm pissed off that the Food Network is airing this stupid holiday special at the moment, because that means another Friday that I have to miss "A Cook's Tour". I wish they'd release "A Cook's Tour" on DVD and/or VHS so I can watch it whenever I want to. They probably don't have any of those eps on the Food Network On Demand channel. Gah. I should check it out, just in case the On Demand people have become cool or something.

I also feel so worn and tired from the week that I feel like I should actually break down and ingest enough alcohol to get my absolutely stinking drunk, but we don't have anything at the house at present aside from Mom's Kaluha (sp?) and I'm not about to ingest anything that Mom ends up using as an ice cream topper. But I suppose if I can't fulfill this thought in reality, I could at least attempt to live vicariously yet again.

Tenacious Dee (Dee the Lurker), Saturday, 6 December 2003 06:21 (twenty-two years ago)

"Dee in being predictable and repetitive shocker!"

Tenacious Dee (Dee the Lurker), Saturday, 6 December 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Kahlua is great straight, but only in tiny doses methinks.

I'm not drunk any more. I slept it off. However, I am incredibly lazy and don't want to go to Good Will and the Vintage Clothing store to drop all this stuff off I'm getting rid of for the move. L A Z Y .

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

S McLusky is DRUNK and posting from

WORK

SHOCKAH!

It's my boss's fault. He bought me a margarita at lunch. MMM...
Lunch was over 2 hours long and we didn't talk about work at all.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

The post-lunch, mid-afternoon margarita buzz. I always get my best* work done then.

*by "best" I mean accidentally deleting 15 page spreadsheets and hanging up on customers

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Quick Sarah, now post to the God and racial generalizations threads.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

But post what you were gonna post to one to the other and vice versa. Hilarity ensues!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

The Broker is in here talking to my boss and he just told me to snap out of it. I'm responding to everything he says with "Uh huh."

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

MUST NOT SLEEP AT DESK>....

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

It wouldn't matter, you will be gone soon anyway!

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

So sleep soundly!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Start doing a little head jive when you say "uh huh," that way you're not drunk, you're just funky.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I should start saying "UGH!" instead of "uh huh," so at least I'll seem perky.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Perky like Mystikal.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I am eating skittles. The sugar will save me.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:33 (twenty-two years ago)

but they make you cough!

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 8 December 2003 22:47 (twenty-two years ago)

ME? In particular?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

No, anyone. Does nobody else get this problem? Me and my mates used to always errupt in coughing fits at school when eating Skittles.

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 09:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I had a bag of skittles recently & they were soooo nice. I haven't been able to eat them due to the gelatine, but def no coughing!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 09:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't seem to find them around our way anymore.

Hey PinkP, where you been at ?

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 09:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I took a bit of an ILX holiday!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 10:01 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
Yes, that's better.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 22 February 2004 05:21 (twenty-one years ago)

You're still a lush and alcoholic wastrel, like I said at the start! Grr, grr!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 22 February 2004 05:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Yay!

JuliaA (j_bdules), Sunday, 22 February 2004 05:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Hello Sarah, I hope you and Nick are doing well.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Sunday, 22 February 2004 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

eight months pass...
Hot Snakes, I love you.

n/a (Nick A.), Sunday, 7 November 2004 06:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 06:58 (twenty-one years ago)

My tummy kind of hurts.
It's later than I thought.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 07:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 07:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I am amused when Sarah is drunk.

jaymc (jaymc), Sunday, 7 November 2004 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

You are not alone.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 November 2004 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

"panckase"!!!

amateur!!st, Sunday, 7 November 2004 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

amateur!!st, Sunday, 7 November 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Come to daddy. Come come to daddy.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 November 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

How did I miss this thread before?

My head hurts.

Jeff-PTTL (Jeff), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

What are you guys doing up so early?
I kept waking up because my belly hurt (as you'll remember upthread), so I thought it was afternoon now, but it's not even nine.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

What are you guys doing up so early?

I have one of those colds where you sleep a lot during the day and at night you get two hours sleep at a stretch before you're wide awake and have to blow your nose so you can breathe.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, Ned. :-( But that's more time to NaNoWriMo it up, huh?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Indeed! I am 10,000 words away from being done and I should be finished sometime this afternoon. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

i need to get back to sleep actually, otherwise i'll sleep through my movie date tonight. but first i need to eat some pancakes.

amateur!!st, Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Have fun on your date, am! What are you going to see? Is it Undertow? If so, let me know so Nick and I can go see it on our own. He's keeps saying we need to wait for you.

And yay, Ned!

Now, that's enough enthusiasm for me for one morning. I need to get a start on the day so I can get some pancakes myself.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Sunday, 7 November 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, i'm seeing "undertow" so you two are liberated to see it on your own.

i know i shouldn't be nervous, but i am. i'm not actually nervous about any particular aspect of the date, but i'm just sort of nervous and wired in general. also i didn't get enough sleep. i'm going to take a nap in a bit.

amateur!!st, Sunday, 7 November 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"feck"? We're not (comedy stereotype) Irish, you know.
