I want to buy both these and also these. They're both on sale in the same shop in Exeter and I could get the pair for £60 (would normally be £95 for both pairs). The second pair look MUCH better in real life then they do in the picture, and I'm keen on the kind of casual-urban-mountaineer look. As for the first pair, I've always fancied trying out the Supertar 2Gs but haven't been sure about them. I love the looks of old Superstars but they're not always comfortable, and I have a feelign these might be better in that respect. Plus, you know, i'm a technological guy, not a retrohead, I phearnotthephuture.

So what d'y'all think?

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

The second 'these' should feature a link to this.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmmm, have you thought about Nikes?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw adidas superstars at the weekend which had the stripes nearer the toe than usual and they were black with glitter on them (not in a camp way, at least by my standards). I wanted them but they only had them in a 9, I thought about hurting myself to look cool and wearing them anyway but it was too sore.

Still sulking.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

i haven't liked any adidas trainers in years apart from superstars and stan smiths, but i like them in a uniform colour (brown, grey or black) and i really don't like the 1st pair you chose - second much better, but if you like 'em, then who's to tell you, nick...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

the first pair come with a blue toe and tongue and blue stripes which looks way cooler.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Those are some of the ugliest trainers I think I have ever seen.

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

The second pair looks nice apart from the sole.

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Taht's very diplomatic, PP! I have plenty of Nikes, and I swear by Nike Air for walking and jumping across rivers and shit normally, but the last pair I got, while made of GoretexTM and therefore waterproof (see me stand in rivers and have dry feet!), they're pretty ugly, hence I only wear them when walking in the wilderness or else with flares (to cover them up). The Adidas Klamath, as bad as that picture looks, are actually much nicer to look upon in real life than my current Nikes, and remind me a bit of my Vans, which I can't find a picture of online.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

When I can shop again, the first things I am getting are glittery trainers. Then I will know I have officially re-entered the world of frivolous purchase.

Archel (Archel), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

That is, Nick, if you can find that style it might be worth a look. I don't like the way they look from the instep side but the outside is cool. The heel's a bit high. The ones with the blue toe etc were probably one of my fave trainers ever.

What did y'all make of those gold superstars that were out last year? I wish I'd got them in hindsight. In Dublin I can only find black or navy striped superstars, but I'm in London this week, where's good to go?

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I've totally screwed up those links and put two pictures of Superstars up. Dur. These are the others - scroll right to the bottom.

I've got a wicked pair of old Superstars that are totally charcoal-grey, Ronan, which I'm sure you'd love.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't find a picture of my current trainers online. Nike as well too.

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry Nick :)

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I dislike most Nike trainers.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine are nice though, Golf Raver.

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Today I am wearing...

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Those are cool.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I like those blue and white ones PP :)

Archel (Archel), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I am desperate to find some new shoes I like. It's been nine months, dammit! But I can't find any in London's trendy Soho - if anyone wants to give me links to shoe emporia on the net that sell post-trainer type shoes, that'd be great...

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

It's kind of indicative of ILX that the thread I start about trainers gets twice as many replies than the one about men's and women's contrasting attitudes towards art/nature/tactileness.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:31 (twenty-two years ago)

If you want trainer shops Mark I can help!
Thanks Archel! *smiles at kicks*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:31 (twenty-two years ago)

hey dude, dont blame me I am answering both!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, talk about trainers please.

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I bet you'd like that wouldn't you Mark!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

(Can I derail this thread slightly, well massively, just to ask a question. I want to rip-off this design by replicating it onto the little brown hard-leather label/plaque on the back of my Levi's cords. What I need to know is, can I pencil this onto that little bit of leather and then draw round the outline? Plus what should I use to draw it in? A medium-fine pointed black marker? And the white bit? Sorry, Nick.)

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Woah, pink - aren't those haze nikes like, super-limited? what yr opinion on those nike huaraches. I'm undecided.

Nathan W (Nathan Webb), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

PP, those blue and white Nikes are lovely. I have a pair of Asics in a similar style but brown with a Japanese lilt.

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm going shopping again on saturday... i'm hoping i will find things in my size this time...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey Nathan! Yeah they are, but Foot Patrol have got some left in my size. Or at least they did have when I went at the beginning of August! Prolly wont now tho! :-( I don't really like Huaraches to be honest!
Thank you David, I feel so special!! :-)
Aww Dave, here's hoping! Now tell the good ppl how good I looked in those Haze Dunks!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Onitsuka Tiger ownz! I forget what happened to my grey and black pair of those. And I had a lovely pair of brown Gola with no sole, well almost no sole, you were this (*pinches fingers up real tight*) close to the ground. I love shoes. I love clothes, I think.

David. (Cozen), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

where do you shop Dave? also how much are say regular adidas superstars on average in London, I wonder will I save money even with the horrendous exchange rate.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 18 August 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

i tend to use footpatrol, size, and my trainer - all an easy walk from one another and niketown, too... and yes everyone pink was a true vision in those haze dunks - i no feel i have little left to see in this life after witnessing such perfection ;-)

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

no, they are v cool sneaks, i like them a lot...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Cheers Dave!! xx

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

i think the hazes are gone, soz pp. i had a gander on friday

noone can fuck with the nike silverfish imo: a shoe ahead of its time

Chip Morningstar (bob), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:31 (twenty-two years ago)

are they? ah well, it wasnt meant to be i guess! *sigh*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Back to wanting the Japanese ones I just cant have! hmph!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Just spoken to Foot Patrol, they have indeed got sum haze dunks in my size, yay!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

;-)

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

are they going to put them away for you?

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:01 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, sorry for scaring you pp!

Chip Morningstar (bob), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I fucking love threads about shoes. Tell me what to buy!

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't ask them to Dave, as I don't know how soon I'll get down to buy em, hopefully within the next couple of weeks!
S'ok Chip, pls try not to scare me like that again though! ;-)
Mark, what do you want to buy sweetie?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I want some nice trainery shoes that are a bit interesting (not Nike or Adidas, and probably not Puma either as I already have 2 pairs, even if they're falling apart). Also I'm not at all rich at the moment, so either sale prices or surprisingly cheap would be good. Pics welcome :)

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I need the same advice as Mark!

Nathan W (Nathan Webb), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

pink, i cld pick them up for you if you really, really want them...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 18 August 2003 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Offspring have a sale on at the moment, they've got some pretty nice stuff in there if you get in quick!
Prolly ask Dave about size at the moment. My trainer & Foot Patrol, well steer clear if you are a bit short of cash at the mo!

Cheers for the offer Dave! I am tempted, can i get back to you on it? I am torn with leaving it up to fate & making you get em for me!! heh heh! cheers!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 18 August 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

no probs just give me a bell...

sean g, Monday, 18 August 2003 15:33 (twenty-two years ago)

i have never suffered from a shoe buying habit, but two weeks ago i bought the most beautiful shoes i've seen in my life--onitsuka tiger mexico 66 in birch/india ink/latte--and i may be in trouble.

dan (dan), Monday, 18 August 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, where can I buy those black ones?

Sylvestre, Monday, 18 August 2003 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Archel,

I had 3 pair of those (non-leather tho) during my distance running days... they are x-country racing flats by definition.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, those Superstars are okay so long as you don't, you know, actually play basketball in 'em. But you're British so I guess that's not a concern. ;-)

oops (Oops), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

[aargh!!--my-spacebar-is-totally-fucked]

bert (bert), Monday, 18 August 2003 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Freelance / Jean-Baptiste Rautureau makes the brown boots I've born for 5 years. They apparently make sneakers, too; I'd like to see what they look like but can find no information on the futureweb.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 18 August 2003 20:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, the first pair is totally class. Why not go for old-school? Now you only need the Kangol hat to go with it....

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 18 August 2003 20:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Converse is eternal
I tired a pair on the other day & they made my feet look like long clown's feet!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 08:43 (twenty-two years ago)

but these on the other hand...

tired=tried, obv!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 08:48 (twenty-two years ago)

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/156573/IMG_0378.jpg

a rather shoddy photo of my trainers, the lack of light makes them look knackered but in reality they are quite nice

james (james), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 09:07 (twenty-two years ago)

that pic really doesnt do them justice!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 09:16 (twenty-two years ago)

James are the ones with the horizontal velcro straps the Adidas Sam Smiths ones? Or the Converse classic ones? Or something else?

I am buying two pairs of trainers after work, I couldn't decide so I am not going to try. Superstars and Nike ones the name of which escapes me.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Ronan, There are three pairs of velcro strap trainers - in the foreground are some duffer (converse-esque) ones, in the bacckground are some puma's and in the erm.....midground are the stan smiths.

Always buy more than one pair of trainers, buy loads - its more fun

p.s. up thread the adidas you spoke of are called super-modified - like shell toes but different, more....erm....modified

james (james), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

they were reduced and all, I guess people weren't into the glitter.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my. I went shoe-browsing at lunchtime and I saw two pairs of shoes I liked. One was a pair of green and whit Fly shoes, which were lovely but £90 AND they didn't have them in my size; the others were Pumas in Offspring on Old Compton Street, by a Japanese designer I've incredibly irritatingly forgotten the name of. They were TWO HUNDRED QUID.

Sigh.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

did they have a bulky platic bit around the heel

james (james), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you know, I can't remember. I usually need to look at the same shoes several times before I fall in love. They were pretty rad though. What did you have in mind?

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

dont know what they are called but a japanese designer has been modifying the puma racing trainers by adding bulky bits on the back - thought it might be them - they are in the real expensive clothes shop in cambridge so i presumed the price tag indicated it was them

james (james), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark, yours were probably some of the Yohiji Yamamoto ones, or is he doing Adidas?

chris (chris), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 15:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my. I am beginning to salivate now. There is a lovely pair of Paul Smith trainers in Offspring too, and a cute white and green (and cheaper) pair from Asics which I've now got my eye on. I really want to splurge.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Splurge man, splurge!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 22 August 2003 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Uuhhhhhh.

Thanks PP. Here's a towel ;)

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh god, did I post that? [beats self off round head and face mercilessly]

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

heh heh!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 22 August 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I've somehow turned this into a me thread, sorry about that.

I just went back to Offspring and tried on the Asics pair, which also had some kind of Japanese name to them. White with green trim, which I think is the colour scheme I'm after. And... they were nice, but the sizing wasn't quite right, plus I'm wearing my beige cords (cheers) and they totally didn't go.

Next week, I'll try on some Puma Riberos, if I can find them anywhere trimmed in green.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i found nothing last saturday and it's carnival this weekend - i'm off to nyc in a month tho so gonna wait till there...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah baby (click on the magnifying glass for full effex0r)

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

So, the little shoe shop near my office is being unhelpful about the delicious green and white Fly shoes I am coveting. Does anyone know this brand, and where I might be able to find them somewhere else in London or on the interweb?

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 26 August 2003 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

And while they're at it, can they source me some Replays cos mine are fucked.

Alex K (Alex K), Tuesday, 26 August 2003 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I *know* ILX is a hive of shoe-lovers, from Starry to Archel to Suzy to Nick(s) - why aren't you getting turned on by shoes like I am??

p.s. Marianna L, this is the perfect opportunity to start posting ;)

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 26 August 2003 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm afraid if I start talking about my shoe obsession, I think about shoes even more, and buy even more shoes! NO!!! I need to be saving for a house!

Sarah Mclusky (coco), Tuesday, 26 August 2003 19:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha! Well, I bought them, the red and white Puma Riberas I linked to above. And even the girl in the office who dissed the picture thinks they're lovely. Fuck kittens, *these* are things to be held and stroked and loved...

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 27 August 2003 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark, those Barnetts are much nicer, and they're less red.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 27 August 2003 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

one month and counting till i am in trainer heaven...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 27 August 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

No, they're not. I considered them but just wasn't blown away. Honestly Chris, you'll like them, I promise :)

Actually, they are nice, but if I was tempted by them, I'd be more tempted by the Adidas Tuscany, also £75, which I *think* I really like but it's pretty much irrelevant now that my purchase has been made.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 27 August 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I *know* ILX is a hive of shoe-lovers, from Starry to Archel to Suzy to Nick(s) - why aren't you getting turned on by shoes like I am??
Ahem!
After my visit to London yesterday, I am now the proud owner of a pair of Haze dunks. Behold their beauty above! mmmm!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Sunday, 31 August 2003 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I spent a ridiculous sum on Gucci sunglasses this week so no more trainers for me. They may have been the most foolish/cool thing I've ever bought.

Ronan (Ronan), Sunday, 31 August 2003 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

But ronan, do you love them? Cos if you do, it doesn't matter!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 1 September 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
Today I spent $150 on two pairs of ASICS (Ilyeo and Onitsuka Tiger Tai-Chi, both black-on-white), which is a head-swimming amount of money for me, but they're for my stylish homey in Dublin, who's my best friend and I will beat the money out of him if I have to.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
These are what I bought today:

What do you think?

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm, is that working? These, anyway.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:29 (twenty-two years ago)

they're becoming a bit ubiquitous (mind you I just saw the green with yellow stripe ones on the US footlocker site mmm) at the moment, but who am I to talk, I got some dunk lows at the weekend, but they are a lovely two tone tan sueded with a blue swoosh nice.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't suppose you have a pic, do you Chris? I agree about the ubiquity (not a word) but I often do this - see something and it ferments away in my subconscious for months until eventually I know I just have to have them.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:39 (twenty-two years ago)

we had a casual day at work today and three people in the office had them - Kent had some nice deep blue with white striped ones.

Can't find a pic of mine anywhere but our connection is horrid slow at the mo - go in footlocker though - they're knocking them out at thirty quid

chris (chris), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Markelby, I clicked on that link and it said FORBIDDEN!!! Those shoes must be hott.

Sean (Sean), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, that's what a dunk low is! You and pinkpanther are trainer siblings.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, try here and click the top middle pic.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:53 (twenty-two years ago)

MY GOD I WANT THEM

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually saw a pair of really handsome dark green Nikes that I believe were made for the UK market the other day, but they only had one pair left and they weren't my size. Anyway it would be silly for me to spend $150 right now.

Sean (Sean), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Those are great shoes, Mark. (I am probably the only one who cares, but "ubiquity" *is* a word, fwiw)

JuliaA (j_bdules), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 22:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Shall I buy these? (the bit that is refelctive is pink & the bit that looks grey, is in fact white.)
http://www.officeholdings.co.uk/images/shoes/20023185b.jpg
They are the same as a pair J tried to import from Japan for me a couple of years ago, but they sent the wrong size & I haven't been able to get hold of them since. So now they are on general release & lots of ppl will have them. I do love them though, what should I do?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

if you love them, buy them. you'll still be enjoying them later while the people that just bought them because they're trendy will have moved on to something else.

colette (a2lette), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Or shall I wait for some kindly soul to get them fro my upcoming b/day? Cos I am real skint. :-(

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Buy them!!

Archel (Archel), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Rah!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought my first non-Chuck Taylor pair of sneakers in many years yesterday. I'm almost a little nervous to wear them.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

What are they? Do you have a pic?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought the baby blue stripe was a bit gay at first, but what the hell.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 26 January 2004 12:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow! lurvely kicks! Definitely get to wearing 'em this instant young man!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

My boy's got the silver vandals!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Gah I can't find my dark green and white Onitsuka Tigers! Instead of the criss-crossed Asics pattern, they have a diagonal green rectangle (well, parallelogram) with a 10p-sized hole in it on the sides, and pinked green trim on the heel and around the laces. I will try and remember to get my digital camera out this evening and take a picture.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 26 January 2004 13:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Pink, I just saw those pink and silver dunk lows in Footlocker, they're umm..... very .... errrr..... nice. ;o)

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Dontcha like em Chris?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

no, sorry, they look a bit cheap, I dunno why though, there are three new styles in FL and they all look a bit tacky/brash.

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

:-(

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

they looked good in the picture, but close up in real life, I have to say I ain't a fan.

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

not a fan of dunks in particular or just these? Maybe they are slightly different to the imports, I didn't get to see close up.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought some dunks only the other day (two tone tan suede with blue swoosh) it's the colours on them I think, they look really plasticky

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the 3M (reflective) part i bet!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:51 (twenty-two years ago)

that probably doesn't help as I used to work for them ;o)

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Really? Why on earth dontcha now???!!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm still desperately in love with my tan natural leather hi-top premier dunks - haven't seen anything else i've liked in months

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Did you get cheap kicks? *swoon*
x-post

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

3m? they shut down the plant and gave me 6 months wages to pi$$ off to Thailand with

chris (chris), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Apparently it's a type of dunk (reflective)?!! I'm sure I'll be corrected though!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Pinkpanther, yes the 3M dunks are reflective (in low light, the color is dull gray in direct/sunlight).

I'm wearing these:

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

So apparently they are due to release pink & white terminators. Does anyone know about these? Gygax? Stelfox? Nathan?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 2 February 2004 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I finally bought some new trainers! They are Jim Greco's, who is Jim Greco? I dunno!

five months pass...
I bought a pair of half price nike terminators.

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 18 February 2005 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I just ordered a pair of red Adidas Spezials at half--price, myself. This is the first time I've used the internet for such a purpose. They're quite nice, and look good with dark denim trousers. http://paquiderme.blogger.com.br/spezial.jpg

Remy (Imelda Marcos #2) (x Jeremy), Friday, 18 February 2005 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

sfxxxxx, Thursday, 13 October 2005 10:59 (twenty years ago)

Really? I thought you mike like those snakeskin AF1s size had recently.

Panther Pink (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 13 October 2005 11:12 (twenty years ago)

yeah they were ok actually but these are a JAPANESE EDITION which makes me go compltely loop every time, anyway

sfxxxx, Thursday, 13 October 2005 11:17 (twenty years ago)

yeah they were ok actually but these are a JAPANESE EDITION which makes me go completely loopy every time, anyway

sfxxxx, Thursday, 13 October 2005 11:18 (twenty years ago)

I have a pair of those, in teal, white and black... not that horrible orange suede... ugh

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 11:26 (twenty years ago)

Haha, what is that about Japanese editions?!!!

Panther Pink (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 13 October 2005 12:49 (twenty years ago)

well, mainly that they're japanese, really.

i also bought these recently:

http://www.shoeimages.com/images/kicks/306800041r.jpg

teal, white and black

i am of the considered and correct opinion that AF1s look much better in single coulourways, really. the teal white and black is relatively easy to get hold of, too.

sfxxxx, Thursday, 13 October 2005 13:53 (twenty years ago)

i like those BROWN - not orange - suede ones.

nathalie, a bum like you (stevie nixed), Thursday, 13 October 2005 13:55 (twenty years ago)

look like you've been wading the banks of a river

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 14:03 (twenty years ago)

Mmmm, nice blazers Dave!

Panther Pink (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 13 October 2005 14:04 (twenty years ago)

i forgot how ghastly uncomfortable they are when they're new tho. they look nice but they're hurting my feet. then again my others feel great after wearing in.

sfxxxx, Thursday, 13 October 2005 14:06 (twenty years ago)

I can't get past the uncomfortable phase in blazers. Have you seen the new women's colourway? I kinda like them, but I dunno, I guess blazers on my own feet just dont do it for me.

Panther Pink (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 13 October 2005 14:07 (twenty years ago)

I'm afraid if you'd worn those to my school you'd have earned yourself the nickname Poofeet.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 14:11 (twenty years ago)

good job i'm in my 30s then, really, isn't it?
