My bag has my WALLET, hairbrush, empty packet of Maltesers (just removed), a Morrisons recipt, Rimmel purple eyeliner (which I haven't worn for YEARS), not filled in timesheet which I must fill in and send off asap on Monday else NO PAY FOR ME, 4 duracell batteries, "Lehcaresor" Papier Poudre whot stops your face from being a big greasebag, a Snickers bar (actually this is my mothers, I forgot to give it back to her), a MONKICHI ID WALLET which has a business card, an expired Yellow Card, easy everything ticket, tube ticket and membership card to the Phoenix Artist Club - agane, not mine.

A small Cambridge notebook containing many things: phone numbers, bus route info, notes on the Russian art and exhibit of photos of Vietnamese POWs that I saw this spring, an unfinished letter to my Peace Corps friend, list of things to learn for quiz bowl, reference numbers from The Arcades Project, plan for bookshelves, other things. Kleenex. Blue medium-point Papermate pen.

After 4 years I finally took the Silly Putty out last week, and put it in my office desk.

In my school backpack, which I forgot about: massive American History text, with chapters that take three hours to read because they're so godawfully boring; folder of papers to go with this text, with the beloved Jonathan Edwards sermon I threaten people with; notebook to go with this text as well, with the inside covers pasted over in pictures of In Flames; three-subject Latin notebook with notes and two hundred lines of the Aeneid; absolutely delightful copy of the Aeneid with ten lines per page and the rest filled with notes and vocabulary, and featuring an old purple cover and gold and black print on the front; old notebook with archaeology notes now being filled with random thoughts and organizational lists; Zen in the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance; CD player; six CDs in a small cloth case; NIN's The Fragile in its own case; pens; a pencil; numerous items of makeup; a brush; useless crumpled up papers (and that sheet I was supposed to turn in September 28, oh well); maybe an ID card if I can ever find it; driver's permit; loose change.

Lloyds bank paying in book- ha! Tesco receipt- £6 of Grolsch. Address book with Domino and Pattern stickers. Pencil case containing rubbish girly things like eyeliner that I never use, and a pill bottle. Brown tie that has finally returned to me after being in London for ages. Walkman with odd compilation tape in. Flyer for Manatee, who are rubbish. Very battered copy of 'Post Office' by Bukowski. Four Tet flyer. Two photos of our band playing the Notting Hill Arts Centre. Photo of my brother aged 7 dressed as a gangster. Too many bloody setlists. 3 sets of Sticker photos taken in service stations. Long unused dolebook. Flyer for screening of 'Gummo'. Flyer for Butterflies Of Love gig. Flyer for shit club. Two harmonicas- one in A and one in F. Photo of ex-boyfriend that I probably shouldn't even be mentioning. Cutie is cheaper out at the Oriental Shopping Centre in Colindale, if you can bear to make the trip that far. Japan Centre on Picadilly charges silly prices. Colindale also has a very good Asian food court, absurdly cheap. Colindale tube, turn right, walk about five minutes, turn right again, cross the road. Can't miss it. And there's a Sega amusement arcade if you're that way inclined.

I don't know exactly as I am currently unable to lift my bag as my arm is killing me as I had to have a big injection in it this morning and it hurts like hell. But the contents are usually quite similar: wallet, house keys, travel card, office security pass, mobile phone, lip balm, lipstick, lipgloss, comb, CD walkman, new batteries, bits of paper, cigarettes, lighter, sunglasses (why? This is England in October) and millions and millions of tissues - I find that filling your handbag with used-looking tissues is a great way to stop nosy bouncers looking in it.

Driver's license and insurance card, St. Jude medal, ticket stub from Apples in Stereo show from 2 weeks ago, receipt from dinner at Cuban restaurant, just about enough cash for ordering lunch today.

xposts! Sam - Okay, how many knitting needles do I have in my bag? I have two sets - a large set that looks like I could stake vampires with them, and one long 8 needle for knitting in the round (both with projects on them). I'm not sure how many knitting needles I have in total... maybe 15 various sets? (I'm not even sure how many double point sets I have... maybe 3?). I haven't been doing much knitting lately (I should be studying), but I started on the baby afghan I'm making again and it is sooooooo enjoyable.

I don't do makeup either. The makeup thread convinced me to buy some mascara and I impulsed some powder, eyeshadow, and a lip pencil. But every time I put any on, I just want to wash my face immediately.
