so as many of you know, i am uh currently between homes. the obvious choice seems to be nyc next, again, and never ever leave. but something about the obvious choice pains me. so i am entertaining other options. please make your case for alternates...here.

what is wrong with the obvious choice though? if you think it will be best, as i do, then it shouldnt matter. i think nyc is by far the best option for you, and its only downside is financial. dont reject the obvious merely for its obviousness, sometimes the obvious is best?

other possibles: dc, austin, toronto. but these will be harder to get established in than nyc, although they will presumably be cheaper. what about jersey city, or somewhere suitable in jersey that is near nyc

longer shots, that might work out, i dont know in what way you would do these, but might be worth investigating: london, manchester, dublin, melbourne

i dont think jess would like that dc that much. i am asusming he wants tomove somewhere ideal, and i am assuming that part of that ideal might include shops where techno records could be bought. dc no longer has any techno shops. the one microhouse/elecro night here involves 20 people sitting around drinking beer on a sunday, everyone stayingwithin cliques. on the other hand, indie is well represented,for better and worse, and our museums are mostly free!!!

what are you looking for in a city anyway? my town is totally populated with journalism students, so it's not a great town to be a writer in. I am moving to St Louis in a year, it is fairly hipster-free.

I used to live near Tucson and I think it has a great feel to it, plus there is this maverick old west sensibility that might serve a writer well.

Dj'ng is my life. I love to scratch & session with other Turntablist /scratch dj's. I'm obsessed with using the turntable as instrument.. Its my passion & my love. I love to travel & learn new cuts or shall i say bite new cuts.. hehehehe... I enjoy dancing of all sorts, whether its booty dancing to hip hop , poppin' , or rocking the footwork, i'm always down to shake & skool ya'll on the dance floor.. When not dj'ng or dancing i can usually be found at the gym.. I teach cardio kickboxing & love to work out.. Eventually someday i'll be personal training again... i'm often called wild cause i drink alot of alcohol. esp grey goose, my fav!! Im usually a good time , a bit boy crazy & unfortunately intimidating towards others.. I totally hate ignorant rednecks that give me dirty looks when i walk down the street or go get coffee with my black friends.. and I especially hate the lil fuckers on the airplane that kick the back of my chair .. and i especially hate the retarded ass people in the airport that can't work a fucken kiosk. im usually pretty nice, but if u try to argue with me the annatude comes out & ill try to stab you.. im definitely an honest Bitch... Ill tell you exactly how i feel & if I think you are dumb.. I enjoying swearing alot in public places & using lots of slang in my vocab. Im usually in a good mood & always down to have a good time, but i can get irritated easily.. i really love to walk on the beach & I love sunsets. I totally dig deep convo's & gettin on the real level.. i think thats about it.
