HOLY FUCKING SHIT! She does kinda have a point, though.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:43 (twenty-one years ago)

4 album set available for $2000.00 and $1000.00 for one cd. This is how much music should be worth, if there is talent there. They are cheapening music and talent, by selling it like it is fried chicken at kfc.

but but but I thought that the Happy Mondays GOT their inspiration & talent from "Kentucky Fried Chicken"?

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

amateur!st (amateurist), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I think she put her driver's license photo on her slide show!
I am in love.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I got off her site really quickly, afraid I might somehow click the wrong button and have to pay her a few grand.

Oh, by the way, I'm 5'11"! Take that, SUCKA! And I have GREAT eyes! And NO Formal training at all, except for classes taken after that in college.

Risk It

to laugh is to risk appearing the fool

to weep is to risk appearing sentimental

to reach out to another, is to risk involvement

to express feelings is to risk exposing your true self

to place your ideas and dreams before the crowd, is to risk their loss

to live is to risk dying

to hope is to risk despair

to try is to risk failure

but risks must be taken;

because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing

the person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing

they may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they simply can not learn,

feel, change, grow, love, live...only the person who risks is free.

Commerialism and Mc.Donolds music

A review of Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette [2 out of 5 stars]

posted 11/20/2003

by Marissa Marchant

People are so used to hearing music that fits in a little box.
Commerialism is not fine art.
Low art sells to peasants world wide.
they sell music at greasy wing prices. the only culture they have is bacteria. NOt a joke.
I sell my music for one thousand dollars a album because I am fine art and the real thing.
I am not plain jane like all of these people.
I know the value of art.
I charge 25 thousand dollars to perform.
I write every style of music and sing every style of the high level. much higher then the biz.
I play a few instruments very very well.
I studied opera for years..and sing every style of music and write every style.

bnw (bnw), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:08 (twenty-one years ago)

SWEEKY CLEAN?

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Cinniblount is totally otm -- she would be the perfect bride for Geir.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I love how she tries to go off on "commerialism" and then makes sure to say "btw, i am hot"

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

"Sweeky clean" is like the best phrase on the whole site. I'm going to be using that for everything. "Goddamn, this chicken's sweeky clean."

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

(I bet she shows up to this thread like a few days from now.)

bnw (bnw), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I like "commerialism".

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

This could possibly be a really great joke.

Gear! (Gear!), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

in that photo above, is she trying to show how cultured she is by flipping us off UK style or is she pointing out that yes, she has TWO eyes, not like that deep fried bacteria singer norah jones

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

so far through two of her songs they start off with some sort of Yeti moaning.

from a Bela Fleck message board:

"PS - Marissa if you're out there, I'd love to get you over to my house to display your artistry. My front porch rail could use a little painting, or we could sit ya out in the garden with a guitar to keep the squirrels away from our peppers..."

ommerialism and cheapening art
A review of A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion
posted 11/20/2003
by Marissa Marchant

celine has a pleasant voice.
She doesn't sing with power and beauty like I do. I am not plain jane.
like all the others.
I don't want a
record deal.
I know the value of art and fine art.
I write every style of music and sing every style of music.
well. and very well. play
several instruments.
Celine is not on my level.
but for those who think that art is valueless, they will go out and spend no money on
commerialism.
Celine is just as commerical as burger king and the same quality.

Hi, I am a genius.
a big one.
I am a one woman beatles on the next level. I think that 19 dollars is nothing for genius.
but if it isn't genius..it should be sold for 10 bucks. I sell my music for one hundred dollars. Do you value art??? People don't place a high value on art.
they buy over one hundred dollars a month on booze and cigarettes.
Don't people realize that artists who are extreme are worth money???
do people realize how much work goes into making and creating genius. I write everything..I am as high level as it gets and vocally as well..I am trying my endless original and strong material..and plays a few instruments.
I wasn't signed..because I am too interested in upping the level of quality...
I am higher level then anything they have had as a solo artist..because I endless strong songs in almost every genre,,and have unusual vocals and instrumentals..
but the higher the levels of talent..the more money it costs...the most time..the more investment..and the more refinement..
refinement and class is nowhere to be found in the entertainment field...
people who are brilliant scare people in this country.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 5 December 2003 22:28 (twenty-one years ago)

"..I wore ties 2 years earlier, and I wear them better..."

Kingfish Beestick (Kingfish), Friday, 5 December 2003 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, I actually just d/l ed one of her pieces ("days go by") and it is actually quite pleasant, but it's not as good as anything on "Hejira" to be honest. I passed this link onto another mail list, and somebody there had actually met her! He said she ws actually very nice, and also very good live, not that you or I will ever find out I ph34r haha.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 6 December 2003 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Has anyone else misread this title as "I Lick Norah Jone's ass" or perhaps "I LIKE Norah Jone's ass..."????

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

two recent threads on ile have horrified me: the one where a disturbed man jumped off a roof to his death, and now this one. the suicide thread was a horrendous display of cheap callous 'jokes', even - especially - before we knew the poor man actually went ahead and dived off head first. this woman is also clearly mentally ill. why does ile continue to treat mental illness as a joke? i just don't find this funny in the slightest and i am offended by this thread and others like it.

minna (minna), Saturday, 6 December 2003 16:19 (twenty-one years ago)

agreed. the billy joel comment proved her instability.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 6 December 2003 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think she is "clearly mentally ill" at all.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 6 December 2003 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

(+ I didn't read the other thread referred to)

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 6 December 2003 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

and it was stated in the other thread tht the guy was taken away in a backbrace, not a body bag.

Kingfish Beestick (Kingfish), Saturday, 6 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Saying stupid, pompous shit about yourself isn't a reasonable indication of mental illness and doesn't earn anyone immunity from having said stupidity and pomposity pointed out.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 6 December 2003 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

you obviously didn't read what she said about billy joel.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 6 December 2003 19:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Does the "fingers in a V" picture remind anyone else of the landlady in Kingpin?

Ernest P. (ernestp), Saturday, 6 December 2003 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

minna i actually sympathize and regret my earlier comments a bit.

but: do you feel the same way about geir?

amateur!st (amateurist), Saturday, 6 December 2003 20:39 (twenty-one years ago)

amateurist - yes, it's funny you should say that because i was thinking of geir as well when i wrote the above comment. i have lashed out at geir myself before which is something i regret too.

minna (minna), Sunday, 7 December 2003 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

At the risk of trivializing your feelings, Minna, where do we draw the line about what constitutes mental illness? To outside observers, the amount of time and energy people have invested to ILX would seem like some kind of imbalance, too, no? These aren't "real" people, after all! They're just words on a screen! Marissa here is clearly deluded and has a warped self-image, but isn't that the case for everyone, to a greater or lesser (or much lesser) degree? As far as I can tell, she's not putting anyone in danger, unlike the jumper on the other thread. I don't really have a point here, I was just wondering how far we're willing to indulge others' (perhaps misguided) ideas about themselves...

Prude (Prude), Sunday, 7 December 2003 04:10 (twenty-one years ago)

minna if your whole basis for classifying serious mental illness is founded on ineffective self-aggrandizing and oblivious delusions of grandeur how can ilx itself not be included (and thereby exempted)? i disagree with you almost entirely

(xpost with prude who is basically saying the same thing)

l4, Sunday, 7 December 2003 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

ethan i'm emailing you!

minna (minna), Sunday, 7 December 2003 04:19 (twenty-one years ago)

ok now having just read the roof-jumper thread i admit you have more of a point but even that i dont think is so much treating mental illness as a joke as much as it is understandably joking about death itself which has been pretty much inherent to humanity since joking ever started! you seem to be implying that ilx is somehow ostracizing the mentally ill but with such a high population of (thankfully failed) suicide attempts here i think the right to a joke has been earned and says much more than handwringing and mock pity

(xpost again)

l4, Sunday, 7 December 2003 04:27 (twenty-one years ago)

She's just upped her prices & removed her mp3s from the site. Her spiel w/r/t this is just incredibly hardass. She makes antiorp seem quite mild. I wish I was phenomenally wealthy, I might actually stump up for a set of the cds. :(

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 8 December 2003 17:43 (twenty-one years ago)

*nods* This seems like something that would make the rounds.

I love it when Ned goes all sage-like on us.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 8 December 2003 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Eres is not reading email from anyone who has not donated money to marissa

she is soo awesome. I've decided I'm not going to read any mail unless someone pays me to. So I guess it'll be a dark, cold & dry winter.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 8 December 2003 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Minna, I'm sorry you're offended. It would probably be best if you ignored everything I write from here on out.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 8 December 2003 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

tell me how you get on w/ that, sebastien.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 8 December 2003 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Uh, also keep in mind when deeming this girl "mentally ill" that she's probably completely making this all up for a laugh/some money?? THE INTERNET: IT'S FULL OF MYSTERIES LIKE THIS!!

I found the jumper thread in horrible taste but what everyone else already said about this thread.

Also, having been around Geir for a LONG TIME I find it just a teensy bit offensive that people here continually label him as mentally ill or unstable because he doesn't agree with most people's taste in music. WTF? In no other circle BESIDES ILX would Geir seem overly weird at all.

Allyzay, Monday, 8 December 2003 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Compared to much of ILM Geir seems well-adjusted - wrong, mainly, but fairly normal with it.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally is completely OTM, especially with regards to the way people treat Geir.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I think he's well adjusted too. I just made the comment about Marissa being perfect for Geir because their was something robot-like about her writing that reminded me a bit of Geir.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

The first I heard of or experienced geir was when he turned up here, but I get fuckign annoyed with all the pointless hate directed his way. When people really start to get at him, it tends to put me off them a bit (c/f d4d41smu5 especially)

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Geir is lovely, really. He is a lot more reasonable than a great deal of the people that post.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Including me!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think the Geir-bating meme would have been half as successful if:

a) he wasn't Norwegian
b) he hadn't made that iconic photo available
c) his name wasn't 'Geir Hongro'

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

it's the fact that people keep calling him a nazi &/or a racist that annoys me when he clearly isn't.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

oh no, this is going to turn into another geir thread!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 10:22 (twenty-one years ago)

it's the fact that people keep calling him a nazi &/or a racist that annoys me when he clearly isn't.

Yeah, clearly saying that 'London is barely British any more' is not racist, silly us.

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 10:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I have decided to take all my music off my site. Because of the fact that everyone is getting something for free without paying for it.

Genius.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway, you are all on crack and the ILX man for her is clearly DOOMIE and not Geir at all.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:28 (twenty-one years ago)

no my speculation that geir is ill (perhaps mildly) has nothing to do with his tastes in music and everything to do with his manner of posting and arguing (if one can call it that) and his fantastic monomania. all of which seem to point to autism or something similar. i'm convinced.

amateur!st (amateurist), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:50 (twenty-one years ago)

after all there are other ilxors i think have shitty tastes but i don't at all think are ill. a bit maladjusted perhaps, but not ill.

amateur!st (amateurist), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I've seen similar plenty of times on other boards. I keep finding myself defending geir, despite the fact that I find no merit in his theories whatsoever. sigh.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I think that the compulsive list-making etc. on ILM is totally indicative of *something*. I'm anal enough myself but I can't even begin to imagine how these people's brains work. Top 500s? Jesus!

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

if she makes any money out of these expensive things, then she is a good businesswoman, the schtick can only help that. after all, music is a product oriented capitalist sphere like any other, so props to her for working a spiel and getting some money.

theres plenty logic in this plan if you can make it work,

charltonlido (gareth), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 12:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, that occurred to me, like I press up 500 cds, and I have to sell s.th. like 150 to break even - she's ahead if she sells one!!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway, I would be interested in hearing some. Kazaa got some?

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 13:07 (twenty-one years ago)

If Kazaa even tried that shit she'd sue them for like a trillion trillion dollars!!!!

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Sad thing is, her messageboard is full of postings from 'other people' saying that the music industry is great and that J-Lo/Britney/Sinead(oconnor) etc are talented, tall / short and have lovely eyes.

I should see if she wants to come over here...

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

She was here...

Back on her noticeboard just now..:

there. I love the music industry. I hate marissa.

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

stuff abt her has been on loads of message boards, some of which (k-lame people posting shit like "that bitch can suck my dick" or speculating that she is actually a ho, and the website is a front) make me proud to be in this place instead. Anyway, I said nice things abt her. I think she's great.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

She's on her corkboard, rambling to herself, giving up a lot of history and stuff.

http://marissamarchant.com/corkboard/index.html

Summary: Website been going for 10 years, sold two cd's (and you know that's not bad for an online webpage), suddenly she seems to have lost it in a big way...

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

many of them are obv. (pretty much anyone that sez 'i love the music industry' i think it's fair to say) but i think many of them aren't

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

her writing style is pretty uh, memorable, isn't it?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe it's this Eres, her agent who is insufferable. Maybe she's never seen her own website (i know plenty o'musicians who haven't seen theirs), and she has no idea how much he's charging for CDs. She's probably all like, "Eres, why aren't we selling any CDs?"
And he/she is like, "Because nobody likes you bitch."
Maybe he's trying to alienate her from her fans so that she'll never leave him.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

am i to guess that this has raised her profile considerably?

am i to guess that this is all good publicity in the long run?

am i to guess that if she sells just 6 copies of this cd she will net £30k?

charltonlido (gareth), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Marissa = Aja.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Paul Simon (the politician, not the singer) said the same thing about his silly-looking bowties: sure, he said, people made fun of him, but it got his name out, and they remembered him.

He wasn't elected.

You're giving her way too much credit, Gareth, trying to find brilliance in babble.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought Paul Simon was a Senator?

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

This was during his Presidential campaign.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

well, okay.
but people did remember his name for the Senate. Though possibly they thought they were voting against Garfunkel.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

he was already in the senate!

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Did he get elected to Senate before he got the name? Or before he got the bowtie?

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

before One Trick Pony

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

so when he still had hair

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Garfunkel could take him now that he's got his Mini-Me, though.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

If Garfunkel became Prez, and then died (whenever, at an old age, I have no wish for the Death of Art, at least not Art Garfunkel), in 30 years they would have a battleship in the Persian Gulf (cuz we'll still be there, one way or another, this shit ain't going away soon) called the USS Garfunkel, and America's Enemies will sleep furtively.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

maura (maura), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 17:56 (twenty-one years ago)

That kind of rocks! Though it probably isn't publicity genius.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 17:56 (twenty-one years ago)

You could use the same argument about spammers and other "make money fast" scammers - all it takes is one or two gullible types to recoup their money. I'm sorry, that isnt business sense, its criminal.

Having said that, if she has never charged anyone and in 3 weeks time her CDs appear in shops or online at regular prices, I bet she makes a mint.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

charltonlido (gareth), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I sell young living products.

the words change but the song remains the same.

Kingfish Beefstick (Kingfish), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 02:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Incedentally all her MP3s are still available. You just have to do some careful Google cache searching to find the old page. She only changed the html!

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

And they are all on the mp3 site, where she placed them in the first place...

Me too. After all of the inflated self-confidence it was kind of sad to see her writing "I m not a professional musician, I dont make money from my music. I have no talent". But that may be because I'm a wuss.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

i feel quite sad, i tried to buy a young living aromatic oil from her website, and it wouldnt let me do it. perhaps this was the case with her music also, that the people tried to buy but the website wouldnt let them. it seems such a shame that a burgeoning music career could have been brought to a halt by something as simple as a possible html formatting error.

i think norah jone's should take pity on her and they could do a duet together, perhaps about the role aromatic oils could play in a barter economy untainted by big business. come on norah, have a heart, at least by a little oil

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah I spotted that, heh.

The sad thing is, I downloaded a track and gave it a listen, and it wasnt too bad - sub-Tori Amos piano bashing with warbly vocals, at least in tune... I was thinking "well this is ok"... then suddenly she went of the register and started shrieking like an opera singer being chased by a large furry spider and WTF!?

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 11 December 2003 05:33 (twenty-one years ago)

she is the anti-Jandek

the surface noise (electricsound), Thursday, 11 December 2003 05:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Funny thing is, she's chasing the commercial market like yer Norahs and Shanias, and if she just got off her mental foil hat covered soapbox for a second and marketed her fucking kookiness, itd be Max Sharam all over again. Shes no worse than her, and she had a hit.

Not that this is a good thing.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 11 December 2003 05:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i played a track and my girl goes 'sounds like the woman at the end of mulholland drive' ... NO I BANDA. she didnt even know the story of marissa, the tragic tragic story!

heavy stereo gem, Thursday, 11 December 2003 07:42 (twenty-one years ago)

"Emu" is fucking ridiculous. I really don't think she could hear the piano when she was singing.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

holee christ, she's like the artist(Artist?) that just keeps giving, and she even besmirches the good name of nu-Mandy Moore!

today's update:

Because of the conspiracy of anti talent and anti looks, I will be upping my price but I am not sure to what. It is astouding how ignorant people seem. I received hate mail from jealous people for days. But you don't feel bad about supporting ordinary looking people who have no talent. Or ordinary looking people who have little talent. If you have not noticed no one in the music industry is beautiful. No one has a gorgeous face, hardly anyone is tall. Porno is in, this is also anti talent and anti looks. Mandy Moore is tall like I am, but she is plain jane like all of them. Everyone is in denial. Everyone is only supporting people who have no talent and no looks. You are all in denial. You like only supporting people who look ordinary who have little talent...because the record industry has a problem with jealousy. No one is a genius and no one is extremely goodlooking. Definately not both. But both exists. You hate people who are gorgeous and talented. So why not up my price to what I am worth..so you hate people like myself even more.

[does anybody wanna start archiving this site?]

Kingfish Beefstick (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

the fun part is that she copy/pastes her rants to her different pages, and then feels the need to add to them after pasting again:
[the exact same as the above...until here:]No one has a gorgeous face, hardly anyone is tall. Mandy Moore is tall like I am, but she is plain jane like all of them. Ordinary looking. Everyone of them. Including the men. You think that I am conceited because I noticed a conspiracy against signing extremely beautiful people who have serious talent? You are in with the conspiracy of anti looks and anti talent. You will only support ordinary people because the record labels don't like tall, gorgeous and extremely gifted people. You don't either. You hate people that you are jealous of. You are not jealous of plain and ordinary people. so you feel better about giving them money.

so, she's persecuted cuz the labels don't like tall, gorgeous, and extreme gifted people.

Kingfish Beefstick (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

well, i suppose being tall, beautiful and talented must be something of a compensation for her?

charltonlido (gareth), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

She looks like a wrong Gloria Estefan.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

well this is true, but i think it is a little mean to kick someone when they are down

charltonlido (gareth), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I think she's pretty hot, actually.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:58 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't know why, but i am bizarrely fascinated with this site. hearing such gems as this only increases things.

Listen to the whole track. About 3:50 in, you hit paydirt.

Kingfish Beefstick (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 December 2003 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

BAHAHAHAH

dig it: she puts up an order form for music or donations for you to print off and send in("Please print this page using the "Print" command from your browser's File Menu."), but, of course, she lists absolutely no address or p.o. box to send it to.

(I'm so sorry I didn't post this site months ago when I found it; I was joking with Jake that Tape Mountain is doing it all wrong and CDs should be $100 and not $2.)

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, she's now updating about every 12 hours:
The enterainment industry doesn't deal with high quality musicians. I went to the post office in Framingham Mass today. I am going to have a P.O box by next week. I live in boston now. Thankyou, I believe that you will care about music deep down in your souls and help me out. Then I will sell them for like 100 dollars each. But you should mail it to, Marissa Marchant Morris. Please make the check out to Marissa Morris. Peace to you, Marissa Marchant

I will only be accepting money orders(no personal checks, no cashier checks). I don't deal with credit cards anymore, it is too dangerous for you to use pay pal. I will have to look into how to accept money from abroad. If I don't receive help from the public to fund my albums, I will have to work another job. Then I will up my price to 2500.oo because the public didn't help me, and because I would need to pay my bills, and people upload cds on the internet so people don't have to buy any. If people are generous, then my prices will go down.

Find another job?!?! FROM MUSIC?!?!? OH NOES!!!!!11111!

oh yeah, and listen to the track to drove our own Dan Perry to distraction.

El Santo Claus (Kingfish), Friday, 12 December 2003 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

people upload cds on the internet so people don't have to buy any

but somebody has to buy the ONE that gets uploaded. and at $2500 a pop, cha-ching Marissa, CHA-Ching.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 12 December 2003 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi, I am not gigging right now. I have to work and I need donations to afford more studio equipment, sound booths,an acoustic piano, and cd covers, (vinyl records and tapes) If you care about upping the quality of music, please send me a donation. You can write the money order now. I want to up the level of music. I have.

there ya go, that's why she charges so much. Up that shit, yo.

El Santo Claus (Kingfish), Friday, 12 December 2003 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

"emu" makes me feel physically sick to listen to

the surface noise (electricsound), Saturday, 13 December 2003 06:08 (twenty-one years ago)

oh SNAP

(The FBI is now going to help me stag the person who is hacking into my computer, took my bank account number, now has changed my password on my email account, I can't get in right now. But they can. If they are disguising themselves as me or Eres, please realize this person is sick and it is not me.)

El Santo Claus (Kingfish), Saturday, 13 December 2003 07:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Same meme, different behind.

I kick Tori Amos's behind. She does not have vocal quality on my level. She isn't as good a piano player. She doesn't write every style of music. I can and can sing everything. But Tori is non threatening to people. She is not a powerhouse talent but has alot of money.

El Santo Claus (Kingfish), Sunday, 14 December 2003 08:29 (twenty-one years ago)

And this weird bit:

You should make the check out to Marissa Morris., not Marissa Marchant. But you should mail it to, Marissa Marchant Morris. Peace to you, Marissa Marchant

oo...kayyy.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 14 December 2003 08:37 (twenty-one years ago)

i still can't get over that 'emu' track. it is like torture.

the surface noise (electricsound), Sunday, 14 December 2003 08:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Latest from her coarkboard:

Unlike what people think,
I am not everyone on this corkboard, and I am not the only one who is
complimenting myself.

I am complimenting myself. I am a high level musician and worked up to
it.

Norah could play in a bar and a nice restaurant.

She is not a high level professionl, they are lying.

I almost feel bad for looking at this site so often. The woman seems to have serious problems of some kind, its like staring at a car crash. I can't help it though.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 14 December 2003 08:43 (twenty-one years ago)

neither can i. i feel kinda bad for wanting to archive all of her delusions on this thread, but yet, i cannot turn away.

it's too bad, too, since the Mei track is pretty good. classical guitar, no vocal. pleasant. Not too stand-out, but nothing that'll have you running from the room screaming.

El Santo Claus (Kingfish), Sunday, 14 December 2003 08:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Send a money order or donation next week to my new P.O box. My cds are 1000 dollars each, and I am accepting donations.

I will only be accepting money orders(no personal checks, no cashier checks).

it's like we're at some level that's beyond delusional.

man, Sunday, 14 December 2003 12:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I downloaded all the tracks I could find:

That emu track : It must be that they mixed the wrong piano track to the vocal. That was out of tune to 1/2 a semitone all the way through. It's a shame in a way as it's one of the best songs...

'part from that, theres some really good stuff there.

If you find the page with the song titles on her site, and edit the extention .mp3 back onto them, or (easier) look on mp3search, you can gety them all. Some cut off in the mid.., some are a bit crackly, and a couple are not as long as the filesize (Almeria is not 13 mins, but around four..)

Anyway, if you want to pick just one, try nevermind.mp3

http:\\marissamarchant.com/nevermind.mp3

Might do a longer review later...

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 15 December 2003 10:00 (twenty-one years ago)

oh yeah, and she's been busily googling her own name:
You people wouldn't recognize true art if it landed a spaceship on your front lawn and tried to take over the world with a mind control ray. I am high level musician with high level talent. You people are media zombies. Enjoy your dunking donuts, reallity televison, and columbia house. The quality of talent for all music will increase and you will have me to thank.

Marissa

i give her, oh, about 2 weeks before she shows up here.

Anyhow, this being the best track and I got the link wrong...

Life is difficult.. i am playing the guitar and writing some new things
that don't sound like my old stuff.

I received some nice letters and some not so nice letters..thx .

and I don't have time to monitor this bb.

if you pose as me, I guess you could do that all over the net..but who
cares..I have more things to think about..take care...love and

this site is the gift of the magi. it keeps on giving:
The music industry is a fraud. Especially right now. Music is being cheapen and musicians are being demeaned. I kick all of their behinds. There are much more talented people out there then this. I am receiving thousands of dollars to do recordings now. Send a money order or donation next week to my new P.O box. My cds are 1000 dollars each, The music industry, the only culture that they have is bacteria. People are lining up to go to dunkin donuts. People have no idea what quality is. Just because someone is famous, doesn't mean that it is quality. Mc.donolds is famous. People don't value quality. I sell my music at a high price because of my quality of talent., and hard work. Because they show disrespect to artists in the world right now, I am only performing for 50 thousand dollars. No joke. They are losing billions of dollars, selling untalented people. They have laid off thousands of people. The majors have no talent on their rosters. If they were "very" talented, they would be able to sell a billion copies world-wide. There are six billion people in the world. I whip them good.

two weeks pass...
meanwhile:
The Beatles wrote Love me do as their first song. And it wasn't a great song. We have neysayers in todays world, especially when women have tons of talent. The public is anti talent and anti woman. People believed in them, and they didn't totally prove themselves. But there are so many neysayers out there today, worshiping the ground the Beatles and other famous people on. I and other people are more talented then the Beatles. They can only hear certain choral structures. They were musically limited. I can hear jazz chords, fusion chords. They were over rated. Yet our society isn't going beyond this point. This is not delusions of grandeur. You are in denial. The beatles didn't sing as well as I do. And they had alot of help. I don't care what you think. There are people out there with tons of great songs, that aren't being recorded because the public refuses to support talent. The people in the music industry right now, are not extremely gifted. They are losing billions of dollars. You can't even hear that I have alot of talent. Because you have NO ear. That is why you don't support talent. Now is it a possible that a woman could exceed the beatles in the area of talent? Is it possible that there are women who were just as talented if not more talented then Mozart and Beethoven? Do you as women think highly of women? I have more talent then the beatles. I have written everything. These are old recordings. I am going to prove my point, that I am more talented then Paul and John put together. And it is possible that there are other men more talented then the Beatles right now.

Kingfishee (Kingfish), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 22:07 (twenty-one years ago)

She's actually right on that last point I think.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I like the "And it is possible..." part, though, like she's being COMPLETELY RADICAL in suggesting that someone might be more talented than The Beatles.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:11 (twenty-one years ago)

In some corners of the universe she's beyond anarchism with that claim!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I think that we have a Country of CULTURALLY ILLITERATE PEOPLE. Our government does not place an emphasis on art and music in the school systems. They don't offer in depth programs for kids to learn about music at a young age. Our government doesn't fund talented people, like other countries. The country is in need of serious EAR training courses. They have no clue to what talent is and can't tell what great music is or isn't. At this point, from seeing how horrendous alot of these people are in the entertainment industry, I can tell that this country needs ear training. Not all of it is horrendous, but most of it is. And none of it is great. The studios are great, some of the production is great., but the talent isn't there, and our country doesn't care. The United States is not great country. This country doesn't support the arts and extremely talented people. This country is a very low profile country in the minds of cultured and educated countries. This country is filled with arrogant uneducated, cultural illiterates and Yahoos. Even Schools like Berkeley, Curtis and Julliard are not cranking out geniuses, they quit these schools for many reasons. I haven't been in a studio for years. But I am getting a full studio right now..read my corkboard at the end of the gig section. I was just starting out when I recorded these songs. I have TONS of songs. I am more prolific then the Beatles. Because I write alot of strong material and all styles. They were limited because they could not stretch their vocals...and couldn't stretch their writing abilities. They wrote alot of stupid music. And some of it was great. They weren't that consistant. They wrote alot of sappy material. You haven't heard the best, because you don't support talent. If you are so smart, listen to the end of "my rough demo Green Tea," and tell me if you have heard of someone who could do this? They haven't signed anyone that multi talented, because they are delusional people thinking they have signed geniuses. You assume that this is all I can do.

Kingfishee (Kingfish), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh marissa, we know. The beatles were not the most talented people ever in the world, no-one really thinks that. It's a big place for a kickoff. Now, you have to show something. Stun us. Green Tea is a fine track and now on to the next one...

Hi, this is Marissa Marchant. I was a little spaced out, not stoned when I wrote all this. I normally shouldn't talk about people's looks in the music industry. It isn't important. but when they talk endlessly about people who might be good looking as though they are so unbelievable that we have to give them millions of dollars, they I must say something to object...
because the music isn't that happening..and O.k Norah is a well-off,...and I don't think that she deserves this kind of money because she is not that unreal..or hardworking..
or isn't doing much for me...
I like the beatles..but it is time to get on to something else...
I am tired of hearing about the same commerical people over and over and over again...
it is tiring...
there are many talented people out there with no websites..no computers...and it is sad...
Phoniness has taken over...I don't like phoniness..

Rather then post abusive comments here, why not go directly on my site and spew out your hatred and resentment...

the "Abuse Marissa Message board" is an exciting place for people who feel more pleasure out of mocking and abusing artists then supporting them....Cheers

Rather then post abusive comments here, why not go directly on my site and spew out your hatred and resentment...

Do you really think we're naive enough to provide you with free content?

yeah, you'll have to bust out a webcam first...

Intermittent Slob

dirt, dirt, more dirt, clean it with your spit and skirt

cotton balls, towels on walls... messiness alert

this intermittent slobby side has come to be my battle

when all is scrubbed and sweeky clean, come heards of bull and cattle

I've blamed the bulls, tornado, wolves, some nuclear explosion

but I know best, my inner quest, to conquer this in motion.

Trees Can Speak

Seabird, fish and flowers they wish, that we would go away.

Living here amongst our stench, insecticide and spray.

We may think our minds all knowing,

our powers quick and overflowing,

but trees can speak, majestic, meek and wisdom winds are blowing.

Risk It

to laugh is to risk appearing the fool

to weep is to risk appearing sentimental

to reach out to another, is to risk involvement

to express feelings is to risk exposing your true self

to place your ideas and dreams before the crowd, is to risk their loss

to live is to risk dying

to hope is to risk despair

to try is to risk failure

but risks must be taken;

because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing

the person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing

they may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they simply can not learn,

feel, change, grow, love, live...only the person who risks is free.

The Us and You

Sounds and thoughts of commerce, who's who.

Wired into the Us and You.

The Us are the ins and the power circle-

and You are the flesh to feed what's commercial.

Green is the face of dollars, no sense.

Green is the colour of their jealous hints.

The Us feels the passion, they'll hear Your cloud's din.

Restraining the You as they save their own kin.

They know that You're breathing in lamenting of cries..

Reminders of equity.. they will surely deny...

Say Your goodbyes.

I downloaded "Emu". She sounds like the "Toasty!" guy from Mortal Kombat II.

don't forget the "green tea" track.

From a Land of Grass Without Mirrors (AaronHz), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 01:28 (twenty years ago)

What on earth is Marissa singing in the chorus of "Emu"? To me it sounds exactly like: "He'll get to know you/he likes a poo/he'll wrap around you/a wishypoo" That can't be right, but what else could it possibly be?

Hmm...

OMG that's exactly what it sounds like.

Hi, I am a genius. a big one. (AaronHz), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 02:37 (twenty years ago)

It might be:

Hi, I am a genius. a big one. (AaronHz), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 02:41 (twenty years ago)

I am finding this Marissa character attractive as well. Does that mean I'm drawn to women who want me to abuse them?

Hurting (Hurting), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 03:12 (twenty years ago)

Hmmm...I actually quite like 'green tea'. I can't quite afford the album though.

choo choo the herky jerky dancer (papa november), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 03:41 (twenty years ago)

i wonder if those are the original versions of the songs(where she was like a 1/2-1 whole tone off) or the pitch-corrected ones...

kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 04:03 (twenty years ago)

I dunno, it's a little off in places but the idea is kind of good.

The world needs more Kate Bush types.

choo choo the herky jerky dancer (papa november), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 04:09 (twenty years ago)

I sort of like it when she sings remarkably off key. It almost sounds deliberate, but I have a feeling it isn't.

Hurting (Hurting), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 04:24 (twenty years ago)

Her message board a couple days ago..

She was asking about how to put a video up as a streaming download. Apparently, this one hour concert was on cable in NY a while ago. Any ideas? I'm sure a fair few here would be interested in seeing it...

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 08:49 (twenty years ago)

was it on public access?

Hi, I am a genius. a big one. (AaronHz), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 09:33 (twenty years ago)

apparently.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 09:34 (twenty years ago)

I miss having public access now that I have DirecTV. It's the only place I ever saw someone I know do a horrendously bad standup routine, when I had no idea of their comedic aspirations.

Hey Marissa,
I'm impressed.
Would you be interested in putting anything up on the Hut? Maybe a demo or something? Just interested in expanding the church of Marissa and all.
In any case, hope you're well.
By the way, here's some music for you.

(Then I got THIS strange email, which I don't know WHAT to make of.)

would you like the info on how you can get a grand piano, sound booth and kurzweil?
..and two guitars, and tons of other stuff and macki monitors?
I have great monitors...they cost 650 dollars a pair..I have two. ( 25 dollars per cable)..I, and we, have NO Money to spare...on any other things....stop it...i have to service my otari and tune and service the piano..and I have three humidifiers..and a dehumidifier..and a portible air conditioner....
stop telling me to buy things...focus on the positive...I have alot of things alot of musicians don't have.....most musicians don't have grand pianos...of this quality...I am happy darling one..if you want to find investers and giving people to fund the guitar on the net that is fine...but we and I can do no more...I am exhausted..I am working 17 hour days, and have to paint my living room, and my landlord is asking for 200 dollars more rent..and I have to have my teeth cleaned...broken desk, and no computer desk.......mm-----

(Maybe it was sent accidentally? So I reply:)

You're welcome. Do you have any interest in possibly putting a song up on my site?
I would certainly understand if it's not what you're looking for, but I get well over a thousand visitors a day, so it might be helpful to spread you around.
I think that what you're doing is very interesting and even when you're coming at the music with your tongue firmly in cheek, it bears a listen.
Let me know.

Forksclovetofu to marissa

Well, really you don't have to do anything.
Do you know how to mail me a song in MP3 format?
If you have a specific track or two that you think merits sharing, mail it to me and I'll write up a piece about you and post it on my site.
Drop me a line if this is amenable to you.
For what it's worth, I'd prefer something that you DON'T already have posted on your site... maybe a work in progress, a demo or some juvenalia?
***********************************************
marissa marchant to me

hi,you know busking is right?
well, I am providing a service to the public and you can send as low as a one dollar donation.
If you were so impressed, how come you didn't throw me a dollar?
And you want more FREE music?
And you don't support the arts? If you think you don't owe me or people like myself anything, fine, but don't act like you are appreciative when you are not. thankyou, Marissa Marchant
*************************************************
Forksclovetofu to marissa

Um, Marissa:
See, the thing is that you are seeking a broader audience of people to show your music to.
I can provide that audience.
This is why artists (of all stripes and levels of quality) attempt to gain radio airplay.
As I said previously, thousands of people a week read and download music from my site.
My interest was in providing you access to a new (and larger) listening public.
If this is not something you're interested in, that's fine.
You currently have DOZENS of songs up on your site; I could simply refer people there (and will) but one would assume that you might prefer to show something different if it were to be spotlit.
In any case. Let me know if this is interesting to you and if it is not, that's perfectly fine as well.
And I hope you're enjoying the music.
Any comments on the selections?

hi, why not put "it's sun" up on your site...since I am putting the completed version soon on my site..you will have the demo version..I don't want to give you any other demos..because if I liked them, they would be on my site..I don't like everything that I have recorded..
I am redoing alot of my songs..thanks...
yes you can record what we are saying, just don't add words..but you will do what you want anyway,,,that is the nature of the net..mm

Okay, I'll post that track.

There are good ideas in everything she does, even when it doesn't work (sometimes BECAUSE it doesn't work, like "EMU").

kyle (akmonday), Sunday, 21 November 2004 01:36 (twenty years ago)

I don't understand why she can't sing on key!!! She obviously has a good understanding of music and what is on key (based on the non-vocal parts of her songs). I don't get it.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Sunday, 21 November 2004 03:50 (twenty years ago)

It sounds like she replaced the original piano track with a better one, before realising she had reset her 'pitch shift'. I have done this myself (actually it was our crummy studio engineer!) then spent ages trying to retune the TAPE RECORDER! As part of a different discourse, she mentioned her hatred of pitch shifting, that'll be why.

Subject: Your music is amazing

I just finished reading your interview at ultrasecretwebsite.com and that led me to listening to your music. The experience has opened my eyes in a way they have never been opened before. Also, they may be open a lot wider than usual. I am a rich person with a lot of money to throw around.

You see, at the age of 16 I was run over by a bulldozer and most of my legs were severed and later on I married a man who was rich who died and then I got all his money. Now I travel around the internet, loooking for places to send money to. I believe that you are a fantastic artist. You have surpassed my greatest expectations and transcended art and flit about in a realm I call uberart. It's like comparing three dimensions to four dimensions - you can do it but it costs a lot of money.

I am a regular visitor to http://ultrasecretwebsite.com and I am eternally grateful to them for making me not only aware of you, but also of other things.

Your fan,
Emily

Dear Marissa

Yes I am sorry to say I have no legs, but it's true what they say - when you lose a part of your body the rest of your body becomes more powerful than you could ever imagine. Still, that's small comfort since I can no longer dance which was always my dream. Although I can still dream about dancing, which I am thankful for although not as thankful as I would be if my legs suddenly reappeared!

In any case, my legs are gone and I usually don't dwell on them. I like to donate money - this much is true. But your recordings are so wonderful right now! I guess I want to know how much money you need to be happy. It's nearing the end of the fiscal year and I really need to get rid of some of the extra money I have or else it will all go toward taxes.

Do you need $1,000? $5,000? $10,000? More? I want to help uberartists but I am ashamed to say I don't fully understand your needs. Surely you need food and an adequate living space and also the instruments to express yourself creatively. But beyond that I am as lost as the proverbial child in the wilderness.

I didn't read the entire thread, but where along the way did she go from commanding fifty grand for a live performance to sending abusive emails 'cause she didn't get a dollar?

hello, you have contributed to my leaving the internet and the public world..I have alot music unrecorded...and I took down my music...permanently....
this is no joke...I hafe it up there, and soon the site will be gone, I have given up ....
there is no reason to be on the net...so your interview which seems mean spirited...is meaningless...because I have no music up...and a message for everyone...o.k

Hi, I find this board strange but delightful. I am not sure if I posted some of the messages on here. thanks for the encouragement.
I am moving right now to rochester in new york state..in a bigger house...and Avalon company is in the state of moving their company..I am waiting for this piece of gear. It is handmade and there isn't anything quite like it on the market..I have been waiting for months now for them to send it off...I am packing. I wish I could record now..but people just seem to have little customer service, graciousness and kindness these days.
I think we are having an ice age. any kindness that is shown towards myself I feel it is suprising.
I expect negativity. people have been very cold towards me...
anyone else who experiences what I am experiencing should not let the coldness of the world get them down. but suddenly if someone has millions of dollars, people are warming, kissing, hugging and adoring...
other then that...people like to insult me, because I am just not a mega wealthy musician....
I think I am trying to be supportive of others...but it doesn't show up that way in the google search , for some reason, anything that I have ever said that wasn't positive shows up first...
I am trying not to say anything unkind these days.

Whatever you've said, Marissa, you've managed to get yourself quite a lot of attention, as far as I can tell, which is good. By the way, do you like Kate Bush? You remind my girlfriend of her. Which is a good thing.

XOXO

Josh

Hurting (Hurting), Friday, 8 July 2005 14:42 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, I could see you getting a proper album release and appearances on Leno based on your whole shtick, rather than actual talent. A short-lived (most likely) but profitable career. Like winning the lottery. I have to find something stupid to gain that kind of attention online.

You big dumbass, Friday, 8 July 2005 14:49 (nineteen years ago)

What is the Avalon piece you're buying? Is it a mic preamp? They have an awesome reputation!

Looking forward to hear yr recordings done with this.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 8 July 2005 14:50 (nineteen years ago)

xpost getting attention is one thing, but you don't get anywhere if when you get the attention, you can't actually deliver...

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 8 July 2005 14:53 (nineteen years ago)

That's why I'm saying it will (most likely) be a short lived career.

PROVEN WRONG BY SCIENCE

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Friday, 25 August 2006 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

I have to think of technology all of the time. I don't have a choice.
After being beaten and shot by criminals, I was left for dead.

Luckily, my partner found me in time and the paramedics were able to put me on life support until they could transform me into a fully functioning cyborg (half man / half machine). What's great is that I was able to go back to being a police officer and go after the people who turned me into this monstrosity.

One complaint though:
When recreating my sense of vision and wiring me for a friend/enemy status checker as well as a full dictionary of penal codes, they forgot to give me a standard video input. It would have been a perfect opportunity to expand my ability to actually ENJOY myself. It's like the scientists didn't care about me having a good time; they just wanted me to fight crime with heightened abilities and senses. Whatever. Thanks for nothing...they have no idea how sweet it would've been to watch the CAN dvd with direct audio and video ins.

I guess if you can't go out and be entertained and you are in a wheelchair..it is good...
but I prefer live performances...
or a prefer ...audio recordings in vinyl or cd format.
sometimes I don't like to see anyone playing..I just like to hear the music and image things in my head. I don't really need to see a person playing the music ...

I hope you are feeling better now

I missed all this the first time round. I've encountered her notority before, and assumed she was just a crazy person, I had no idea she is the greatest musical genius in the history of everything. I am quite annoyed there is now no way to hear her songs (I've somewhat optimistically tried Limewire).

two years pass...

Risk It

to laugh is to risk appearing the fool
to weep is to risk appearing sentimental
to reach out to another, is to risk involvement
to express feelings is to risk exposing your true self
to place your ideas and dreams before the crowd, is to risk their loss
to live is to risk dying
to hope is to risk despair
to try is to risk failure
but risks must be taken;
because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing
the person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing
they may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they simply can not learn,
feel, change, grow, love, live...only the person who risks is free.
