This is the thread where you post pictures of yourselves and not clowns, Agent Cooper, or tits, because apparently doing so makes people post 4,000 things about how they wish there was a thread that didn't involve that. So please do not post things involving any of that. Just pictures of yourself. That's all. OK?

GRADS¿ that may be a decent thread idea - but i'm terrified of what it might turn into, so i'll hold off.

x-post wheeeeeeeeeee

dyson (dyson), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, y'all have about used up my 'awwww' quotient for the day - stop being so damned cute!

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

actually chief we were chopping trees and firewood??!

"we" meaning basically "Tom", I had never done such a thing in my life and was kind of making a going effort at helping but was basically spazzing about the entire thing.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Team Wham-o was the imaginary trick frisbee team that I invented with some friends. We'd take over a park saying we were gonna put on a demonstration and after about 3 minutes or so people would realise we were just being silly and stop watching.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

that's brilliant.

dyson (dyson), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

The TOMBOT/Ally Xmas pic makes me wanna cry. So wonderful.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

the most i would have managed would be to have a fag and bitch about the cold.

bryan you look so serious! was it the future?

Jesus Bryan, my hair isn't that horrible!!! Haha that's not even the twee-est picture of the group.

more pictures! I like the idea of that GRADS thread in theory.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

ally went from being the blind melon bee-girl to looking like something outta "american gothic"

Eisbär (llamasfur), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, so you're saying this board is entirely comprised of attractive looking people.

Just clarifying.

I am eating the world's largest piece of pizza

That might be the world's largest piece of pizza, but the World's Largest SLICE Of Pizza (and deserving of the capital letters) can be found at Benny Tudino's in Hoboken.

We ate there Thursday night.

Andrew does look very handsome, and has great hair.

Sean (Sean), Sunday, 4 January 2004 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Wouldn't the world's largest slice of pizza just be a whole pizza? Or if you want to be overly literal about it, a whole pizza with a tiny sliver cut out of it?

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 4 January 2004 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I always find the joke where a guy cuts a slice of cake for himself and you realize he's gonna eat the whole cake, minus slice, I always find that joke hilarious.

Seriously, dude, what is your obsession here?

Allyzay, Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

What are you doing this weekend? Would you perhaps like to come say all this to my face? I'm in town, dude. I hear rumors you show at the FAPs I'm in DC for, you bastard. I'll buy.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:33 (twenty-two years ago)

no obsession at all ... you 2 look like the ceausescus, that's all i'm saying!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

What about the American Gothic thing? Or the fact that I am apparently your favorite dictator? You didn't answer my other question either, for reals.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:37 (twenty-two years ago)

1) i couldn't find the ceausescu pic, so i had to settle for american gothic.
2) i'm outta town this weekend.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I need legal advice though. (I'm not making this up. What kind of lawyer are you again?)

trusts and estates and tax, mostly. besides, ask felicity!

I don't think Felicity is the type of laywer I need either, but I am emailing her now anyway. Oh well, you're missing your chance at a free dinner. I could probably use a tax lawyer too for when they finally find me for that stupid $300.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 6 January 2004 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone in the like 5000 pictures that got taken at that wedding looks like they're out of a Neiman-Marcus catalogue or something, it's sick. My cousin's wife (cousin-in-law? 2nd cousin? just cousin?) brought them all to Christmas and her gift for everyone was a photo of our choosing. I was like "oh that's great, can I scan some, too?" Also, I already claimed the big tittied sister. Sorry. That's just how it is.

Thanks Mark! Do you want to maybe swap blowjobs before I go back to girls? Like a sending-off present?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 02:10 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, I was thinking that IS how I dress, except for the headband and the tennis racket. Although I really enjoyed the racket, maybe I'll take it the next time I go to a bar.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 02:19 (twenty-two years ago)

*sets up joke* But what KIND of bar?

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow! That's a great pic Teeny. I like your jacket in that one a lot. I'm curious though, was "Everything Is Going to Be Alright" really written on that building? Or was that some photoshop trickery?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 21:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow. I didn't know everything in Rome was rotated 90 degrees.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 9 January 2004 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah 'everything is going to be alright' really was on the building, it was totally surreal when we climbed a hill and saw it. And then we got lost and went in a circle and saw it again. Sorry forgot about the 90¡ã, I don't have time in the internet cafe to do much more than upload a million meg of photos.

teeny (teeny), Friday, 9 January 2004 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

That would explain the LA Story-ishness of it. Was Enya also playing in the background?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 18:11 (twenty-two years ago)

That girl looks like my next door neighbor when I was 7, Krissy. We got into a fist fight once, which she won because she had an arm cast at the time. One time she asked me if I was a virgin. I didn't know what it meant at the time so I said no. Boy was I the laughing stock of the whole neighborhood. I hated that bitch. She tried to steal my Madonna tapes once too. I grabbed her by the hair and shoved her down the stairs. In retrospect I'm not entirely sure why my mom insisted we hang out at all.

Is that girl's name Krissy? Cos I've got an ass kicking for her, FYI.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 13 January 2004 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 14:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned yr photo is reaching the status of that one F*** picture that he's been using for the past ten years, it's time to send it out to greener pastures. I suggest you flip off the camera for your next portrait.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 14 January 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone should flip off the camera for portraits.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Tuomas isn't even in, like, Emilymv territory yet, Alex, wtf? You're on these threads just as much! The winner is Ned, he's been photoshopped so much into every disturbing image ever.

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, kids, I see more Tuomas pics all the time. Also, being photoshopped doesn't count....as Ned's not directly responsible for it (people are takin' his image and runnin' with it). Tuomas seems to have an endless supply of photographs.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude just count the number of pix on this very thread for cryin' out loud and see who has posted the most pictures of themselves. Also Tuomas's photos all feature at least 75 other people.

Here, this is NOT a picture of Tuomas:

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

haha this reminds me of how I won a "make up the worst joke in the world" competition amongst friends in college with this gem:

Q: What did cavemen use for dental dams?
A: Ferrets.

mmm weasels.

Chris V (Chris V), Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow. ILX has now ruined Lego Star Wars for me. God, do you people have to destroy everything I hold true in this world?

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, didn't you get the "ILX must ruin fantastic shit for Ally" memo?

xpost HAHAHAHAHA THOSE PEOPLE ARE STILL PAYING ME!!!!!!!

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, kids, I see more Tuomas pics all the time. Also, being photoshopped doesn't count....as Ned's not directly responsible for it (people are takin' his image and runnin' with it). Tuomas seems to have an endless supply of photographs.

Actually, all my photos come from the same source, which is here. It's the homepage of a sunday walking club ("Helsinki City Walking Club" = HcWc) I have with my uni friends (damn that sounds bourgeoise). That's why there are so many folks in my pics. I wish I could put other types of pictures here, but there aren't other pics of me on the InterWeb.

(I wish I was photoshopped as well... That seems to pe the ultimate proof of ILX status. )

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, whatever, Dork King.

I just know about'em, I don't collect'em....who is the dork now, Spazz Goddess?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not even mine! I own no legos, perhaps sadly. TS: buying a funny looking toy because it involves BOOZE vs. ACTUALLY KNOWING THE NAME OF THE LIZARD!!!!! You lose, Jester!!! BWAHAHAHA.

I mean, obviously there is a lot at stake here, defending coolness honor on an internet message board.

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

wow you get free booze with starwars lego?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZE (and Legos)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Have the Lord Of The Rings sets come out yet so I can finally fulfill my linguistic dream of owning a Lego Legolas?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes.

Well, no, but it was toys for children aged 4-11 involving a bar and obvious bar cups tinted beer-color so that was pretty good. Seriously, most toy purchases in my youth had this kind of logic behind them: my mother once started collecting Playmobil on the set that involved a HOBO holding a HOBO STICK and a BEER BOTTLE. It was amazing! Who goes to the store and purchases drunk homeless men for their children?? I mean besides my mom.

xpost I think if I posted a photo of myself playing with toys in kneesocks and pig tails while sucking on a lollipop suddenly my perceived dorkiness would be rationalized away quite rapidly, u gaywad. Anyway they aren't mine!!!!!

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

For approximately 6 seconds, I wanted to change my ILX moniker to Lego Legolas. I really am a huge ass dork.

Allyzay, Thursday, 15 January 2004 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Your search - booze legos - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:- Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
- Try different keywords.
- Try more general keywords.
- Try fewer keywords.

Tuomas - the girl one in from the left looks very like my friend Soile. I can't really tell from the photo, and it's a long shot, but you don't know her do you?

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

None of the girls is called Soile. It is a Finnish name, though, but I don't know anyone by that name, sorry.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm quite relieved, not that you don't know her, but since I've known her over six years and lived with her for the best part of two of those I would be quite worried about not recognising her in a photo.

She moved back to Helsinki last summer. (Even longer shot: if you ever meet Soile O, 25, looks like your friend, works at Nokia, speaks English, Spanish and Catalan, has red-haired British boyfriend called Dan who's still struggling with Finnish by all accounts, then say you know me and watch them fall over with shock. I know Helsinki is a big place though.)

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Tuomas, do your friends mind that you post their pics on ilx? You lot always seem to be enjoying yourselves & always have a camera at the ready!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

(I reckon it's just like that in Finland. My above mentioned friend is always e-mailing me pics full of happy Finns laughing in the snow. I'd visit if I could afford the air fare.)

I haven't asked all of them, but the pics are on a public website, so I guess they don't mind. As I said, all my pics come from the homepage of a sunday walking club I have with university friends, and one of them always has a camera with him. I doubt weekday photos of us would look as cheery as these do...

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 13:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd visit if I could afford the air fare.

Ryanair is supposedly doing cheap U.K. - Finland flights, or at least it did last year. The planes land in Tampere, however, from where it'll cost you an extra 20 euros to Helsinki.

Family gathering for the horrordays. I'm the one in the purple sweater. Scott is the one who looks like he's wearing goggles. Rufus is the one flipping off the camera in his sleep.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 12 January 2005 17:04 (twenty-one years ago)

also there's a more recent what do you look like thread i think here! now that i just got a digital camera, what do you look like? (jan 200V edition!!)

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 12 January 2005 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Maria, you are Sarah Martin out of Belle and Seb4stian and I claim my £5.

Is Scott the big black chap? None of them seem to be wearing goggles.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 12 January 2005 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, Ken, see the other trhead. The big black chap is my half-brother. Scott's the one in the blue sweater. You can't see his eyes, thus the goggles comment. The two gals down front are my mother and her wife. They're still uncertain whether their same-sex marriage will hold up in Oregon.
