Also I remember some kind of platform game where everything is candy coloured and abstract and you control a (something) and some of the surfaces are icy and slippery and some are really bouncy, etc.

I know this really narrows it down.

Also some game where you are a kid that blows bubblegum bubbles for flying, etc?
