OK, the FAP thread in now official.

THE PLAN THE PLAN THE PLAN!!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

You should all fly to Boston and see the opera I'm in!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

No! We mock you!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:47 (twenty-one years ago)

We spank you... BOONGA BOONGA BOONGA!

Anyway... Seattle FAP.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

yes...are there any details? I suggest thrift shopping (duh), in addition to record shopping

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, we shall let Gareth speak, and decide from there. But a dinner type thing is certainly a good idea.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

dinner dinner dinner, yes. Cap Hill? Fremont? that sushi place? Thai? I'm down for anything at all. it will be GREBT to have him here. maybe for lunch I can bring him to Salumi, that'd be fun. unless it's on a weekend, which I'm thinking it is.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

April 30th is a Friday. May 1st is a Saturday. I have no idea if Gareth can stay longer than that.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

BTW, Gareth, just to save you some money, there's a bus that will take you to downtown Seattle from the airport that costs just $2.. don't be fooled into paying over $30 for a taxi.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

if he's able to get to downtown early afternoon Friday I could totally treat him to Salumi.

I usually take taxis just because they're faster but DB is totally OTM.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, your bus takes off before 6:45pm, you get to go inside the uber cool undeground bus tunnel, which is half spooky, half funny.
(It's like a subway, except.. you're just in a bus! WOOOOOO!)

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Depending when you get in Gareth, you might be able to say fuck the bus and the taxis... Jen and I live pretty damned close to the airport and have wheels. It's possible we can work something out.

martin m. (mushrush), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I have taken this tunnel/bus thing. MY SOUL WAS SHRIVEN FROM MY BODY. But there wasn't much of a soul there anyway. Or a body.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Hell no, the bus tunnels are FUN. I've half a mind to not even bother to try to work something out picking Gareth up, just so he gets to experience them.

Best thing to think about while in the tunnel is the fact that you are BELOW SEA LEVEL UNDER CONCRETE IN A BUS.

martin m. (mushrush), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, it's still quite bright out before 7pm... taking photos of the graffiti in the bus only road right before the bus tunnel is UBER U+K!!!!!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 21:30 (twenty-one years ago)

i arrive at 909 pm on friday30th, i havent sorted anything out at all yet, i only just confirmed the flight!

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

909!!!! EXCELLENT!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Revolution 909!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone interested in Saturday AM brunch? Top Pot?

lyra (lyra), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

oooh, good idea! doughnuts!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Fuck. Well now that Coachella's out, maybe I should come to this thing. OH CRUEL TEMPTATION.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 22:57 (twenty-one years ago)

why is Coachella out?

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:00 (twenty-one years ago)

(Day one of the show sold out)

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, if Gareth is arriving at 9:09pm, the last express bus out of SeaTac is 9:12pm... which means he probably won't be able to make the bus. :( hmmmm, maybe someone should pick him up at the airport?

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

And Top Pot sounds great!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

(Day one of the show sold out)

Much to my continued surprise. Still, with those headliners I should have guessed.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought it was in the middle of the desert and couldn't sell out! wow!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:16 (twenty-one years ago)

ned, don't they know who you are? you're ned!

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, look at it this way. If that amount of acres can actually sell out, day one looks like it will pretty miserable if you're not into rubbing against sweaty sunburnt people every second of the day.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 23:26 (twenty-one years ago)

so, what about the 1st may? do we have any concrete ideas/suggestions yet?

i think i will be around until maybe the 3rd, before heading down the coast, though nothing is set in stone by any means

gareth (gareth), Monday, 26 April 2004 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

all this concrete/stone talk :) granite last much longer?

stevem (blueski), Monday, 26 April 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

if needed, i could probably do an airport scoop. i may not be avail for friday night hangout but saturday AM sounds good, plus i have never been to top pot!

ron (ron), Monday, 26 April 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought it was in the middle of the desert and couldn't sell out! wow!

Officially it's on a polo ground. I guess that can sell out!

ned, don't they know who you are? you're ned!

I fear this is why they're not letting me in?

Ned, look at it this way. If that amount of acres can actually sell out, day one looks like it will pretty miserable if you're not into rubbing against sweaty
sunburnt people every second of the day.

You bring the romance back to seeing bad indie rock at 3 pm under a blazing sun.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Well now that Coachella's out, maybe I should come to this thing. OH CRUEL TEMPTATION.

Go for it Ned! Seattle is likely to be much more enjoyable and fun than Coachella would be anyway.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

join us, Ned...it's blissssssss

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Monday, 26 April 2004 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

hmmmm, maybe someone should pick him up at the airport?

As mentioned before, Jen and I live close to the airport and shouldn't have any trouble providing a pick-up if necessary.

martin m. (mushrush), Monday, 26 April 2004 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd still love to go up! Hm. MAYBE if I swing a last minute cheapo ticket. I'll do some checking around. And Seattle is always fun, yus.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned will spend May yoyoing up the west coast.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.airtrafficonline.com/acatalog/duncan-butterfly.gif

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned is the bright elusive butterfly of tourism.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Do I sparkle and twinkle in the breeze?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

(Thank god for the letter 'w'.)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 April 2004 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, yes.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

So what's happening, where? Where is Gareth from? Ned are you coming?

bimble (bimble), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I would love to, I cannot be sure. I have to set aside some cash for my Portland trip on Memorial Day, so it's likely I can't spare any for this weekend -- I'm going to have to check prices, do some calculating when my paycheck arrives on Friday, and maybe consider some sort of insane fly-up-Saturday-morning fly-back-Sunday-night thing. MAYBE.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, what's the use of having winged monkey if you never USE them?

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

(I have no idea where that came from, either.)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, the time has come for you to learn do DRIVE.

For crying out loud.

martin m. (mushrush), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

DRIVING FROM OC TO SEATTLE???????

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I was about to say, Martin, I'm not doing THAT. I've BEEN on that drive, twice, and even as a passenger it was...wearying.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:55 (twenty-one years ago)

While I realize that it's a hike, I know that a driving version of Ned could pull it off, and it is usually cheaper than flying, though I dunno about now what with the price of gas and all.

Thing is, I just wanted to give Ned grief for not driving is all. I mean, there are very few things for which I can really give Ned grief, and sometimes I just have to.

You know how it is.

martin m. (mushrush), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

WUV.

(All the grief -- understandable grief at that! -- which has been flung at me over the moons on the subject is balanced against the fact that not having to worry about car payments/insurance/gas/etc., while probably getting a good slew of exercise via walking in I wouldn't have otherwise, makes a fine balance.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Hm, a lot of balancing there.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 20:00 (twenty-one years ago)

We already have determined that Gareth WILL BE GOING TO THAI TOM. IT HAS BEEN DECREED!

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I DECREE THAI TOM UPON ALL GOOD PEOPLE IN SEATTLE WHO HAVE NOT WORSHIPPED AT ITS TEMPLE.

THE MASTER WILL BE VERY PLEASED!

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought we ordered from TOGO's Pizza!

Ned: I salute your nondriving ways!

Is Gareth coming through Portland or do I need to debate whether a schlep to Seattle is in any way doable (it probably isn't)?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

chris, im coming through portland (i also sent you something today, i hope it arrives before i do)

bimble, i am in london, england

as for getting out the airport, i'm investigating that tomorrow, i should be ok though i think, i was supposed to look at that today, but then i was fiddling with my helsinki photos and then it got lated up. tomorrow i am actually going to start like, planning and thinking about this trip a bit more seriously, considering it starts in 3 days...

gareth (gareth), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i was thinking arriving portland on either 3rd or 4th may

gareth (gareth), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:41 (twenty-one years ago)

gareth are you coming through sf?

kyle (akmonday), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:49 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, there too! arriving 5th or 6th, i'll try and make a more concrete plan tomorrow, times running out!

gareth (gareth), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned: I salute your nondriving ways!

Woo!

Gareth! If you can, come down to LA on May 8th, cause we're going to have a birthday party for Chaki then, and you'd be most welcome. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 21:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, a Londoner comes to Seattle. Welcome!!

Sorry the Space Needle isn't much to get excited about...we have
good clean air though, and crappy weather...though we've had far more sunshine lately than we're supposed to have this time of year, and from what I hear the next week or so shall be lovely!

Going back up to the original start of the thread, it reminds me of Hervey Villachez from the Fantasy Island T.V. program: "The plane! The plane!"

All that Donut Bitch Dat-Doot stuff reminds me of "Doot Doot" the song by Freur, who had members that later became Underworld. Not that I'm much of an Underworld fan. But please don't kill me for that. Perhaps I know not what I am missing.

bimble (bimble), Monday, 26 April 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Ugh Urp

BIMBLE!

Come to Bauhaus at 5:30pm tonight or later for the pre Kraftwerk show FAP!!!

More to the Seattle ILX ARMEE!

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Excellent. Is there anything you'd care to do here? I mean, there's Powells, which is our only tourist attraction, but beyond that...

I look forward to the thing coming in the mail!

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

But it's 5:30 right now! I can't get to Bauhaus that fast. Pre-Kraftwerk? Are they playing here?

bimble (bimble), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Pre-Kraftwerk? Are they playing here?

Er...I sorta hope you're kidding. (Yes, the tickets have been on sale for a couple of months, there are still tickets available, they're playing tonight.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 26 April 2004 23:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, I certainly don't remember it being in the local weekly, but that's okay. I've been on a kind of personal concert ban of late. Nothing against them, but that's how it is. If I passed up Blondie, certainly Kraftwerk are not going to make me shell out the bucks.

bimble (bimble), Tuesday, 27 April 2004 00:01 (twenty-one years ago)

You know, I keep MEANING to go to one of these Seattle FAPs, but circumstances always conspire against me, and it looks like I will be missing this Kraftwerk show and FAP as well (as well as being able to attend anything coming up on the 30th/1st).

Soon there will be a Mountain Goats FAP, though, right? I can't see how I would miss that one.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Tuesday, 27 April 2004 00:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Where are you? And yes, I might try to get up to Seattle for Mtn Goatz action (and certainly will be going to the PDX show).

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 27 April 2004 00:51 (twenty-one years ago)

*jealous*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 27 April 2004 00:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this going to happen or not? I'm lucky to have scored Saturday off work (just got a new part-time job, so schedule is changing) so let me know. Mountain Goats are okay by me.

bimble (bimble), Friday, 30 April 2004 03:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, neither the Mountain Goats nor Kraftwerk are playing this weekend (Kraftwerk already played on Monday, Mountain Goats don't play until May 22nd).

THAT SAID...

there are a bunch of bands playing the Seattle Weekly music awards on Sunday evening.. including Climax Golden Twins, Akimbo, (I Think) Popular Shapes, Randy Jones, Luisine, and various other rock and techno.. all within walking distance of each other in Pioneer Square.

however, we should probably have a non-music related get-together this weekend at several points, if at least one.

Gareth arrives tomorrow night. The tentative plan is to go to Linda's Tavern tomorrow at 10pm.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 03:39 (twenty-one years ago)

that sounds cheap and easy :)

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 03:42 (twenty-one years ago)

If food is desired... we should maybe go to the Elysian Brewery instead.. that is, if they serve food by then.

(They fucking better serve food. Chris, Jody, Donna, and I were stung this past Monday when we walked all the way there and just missed the 11pm cutoff for food, and were forced to go to Mimi's on Denny and 1st.. which turned out to be perfect post-gig greasy grub.. then again, this is Friday night. One would hope the food cutoff time is later.)

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 03:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Mimi's was totally fab. That bacon burger roxored

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Friday, 30 April 2004 04:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Donna Brown, I'm shocked! Cheap? Easy? Is that your criteria for a good time? Ha ha ha.

Linda's sounds good. I'm not that bothered about food, really, but if other people are, that's cool too.

bimble (bimble), Friday, 30 April 2004 04:25 (twenty-one years ago)

What's wrong with the burgers at Linda's? Although if you're a vegetarian, I guess Linda's is sub-ideal. Of course, I don't get a vote, because I can't go to this.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Friday, 30 April 2004 04:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, the Elysian is walking distance away, and the dining atmosphere is a lot more conducive, and also it's a LOT more quiet.

But, I think the plan should be to meet up at Linda's at 10pm or so, then possibly walk over to the Elysian is food if desired. soooooo, show of hands, who has never done the Seattle FAP thing here before that wants to? Scott, I know you said you can't make it, which is too bad. but Bimble? Just wanted to see who needs pic guides to ILX0rs in town, that's all.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I enjoy Linda's food but it might be a bit greasy for some folk (and not in a good way), so I can see how the Elysian might be better (and quieter, as DB has pointed out)

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Hell no. BRING ON THE GREASE!

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)

sweeeeeeeeeet

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Bimble! (or anybody lurking here who wants to FAP tonight):

email me at d o n u t b i z i t c h @ h o t m a i l with your phone number, and i'll try to keep you and everyone up to speed. (in case, say, Gareth's flight to Seattle gets delayed somehow)

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, now I'm thinking I really want some biscuits and muthafucken gravy. Maybe one day this weekend we can bust up Hattie's Hat.

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:20 (twenty-one years ago)

There's plenty of greasy stuff at the Elysian if you order the right stuff... I just think their greasy food (and food overall) is much better (and yeah, more vegetarian friendly.)

But, yeah, we'll stick with Linda's @ 10pm. I only mention the food thing in case Gareth is starving. I'm planning on tiding myself over just in case.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

GREASE!

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

and chitlins, if we're "lucky"

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I am missing out on the highs and lows of culinary delight here.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

What is this so-called "vegetarian friendly?"

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I think DB is just making up this veggie thing. EVERYBODY loves meat!

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'd like some more meat on my meat with a side blood, with extra blood please... awwww yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw MEAT!"

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I know I dig white meat (*black card revoked, burned*)

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

It's Ned as a kid! You never told me about the OTHER thing you did besides Captain Kangaroo, you bastad!

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't make tonight, but I'll be at Top Pot doughnuts tomorrow at about 11:30 AM. Probably for at least an hour- need to use the wireless access there, so I hope it's behaving tomorrow. ;-)

lyra (lyra), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Top Pot sounds good.. but depending on how late we stay tonight, 11:30am might be a tad early. ;-)

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 30 April 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

no can do tonight. i have made plans for noon tomorrow, but maybe could pop in for a donut before?

ron (ron), Friday, 30 April 2004 23:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Ack. I am a vegetarian and all this is WAY too much information. I feel a bit dizzy...

I'll email db now. I never knew the Elysian was close to Linda's. I have never done a Seattle FAP before.

bimble (bimble), Saturday, 1 May 2004 00:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm at jen and martin's place right (on their BRAND NEW dsl connection). Martin is currently kicking ass on Crazy Taxi, right now.

Gareth will be arriving at the airport at 9:30pm (if you want to track his airplane, go to alaska air, click on the flight status tab in the middle panel, enter "197", then on the next loading page, hit "track this flight", and you'll get a nifty little graphic of Gareth's plane as it makes his way over to lil' ol' Seattle. (last i checked, he just cleared Sacramento)

Anyway, once we pick him up, I guess we're heading straight to Linda's right after. We might be a lil late, but there you go. If Gareth just wants to go to bed, there might be a change in plans, but this shouldn't disrupt the FAP altogether.

Bimble, I just left a message on your cell. Thanks for the email.

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 01:59 (twenty-one years ago)

(yes, gareth's flight's layover was in los angeles, of all places.... really odd, coming straight from london, but there ya go!)

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:01 (twenty-one years ago)

on their BRAND NEW dsl connection

A FINE thing, as I'm sure you would agree. Oh yes.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Sure brag if you like Ned. I can't get DSL in my area.

bimble (bimble), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:05 (twenty-one years ago)

:-( I bless you with the magic wizardry of DSL, to fight demons!

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

He's approaching Eugene! It looks like he's going to pass right over my house!

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:40 (twenty-one years ago)

This would not be unheard of.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:40 (twenty-one years ago)

The GarethTracker (tm) totally needs sound.

martin m. (mushrush), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Casu, Gareth is clearing your house right now

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:00 (twenty-one years ago)

what would be the soundtrack to Garethtracker(tm)?

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Garethtracker-Squarepusher side project

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Man, is it Beer O'Clock already?

martin m. (mushrush), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:08 (twenty-one years ago)

the plane is circling us right now... we should get going, eh?

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, ya lazy bums.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:28 (twenty-one years ago)

i like how the northwest is ILX ground zero right now.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Seattle is the CENTER of the UNIVERSE. or not. It's doing a good imitation of San Diego these days, though.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Now if you just had the good Mexican food SD does. *is killed for saying this one too many times*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I still think Taco Del Mar makes great tacos, so I will have to be schooled when I go to San Diego. :-) I'm going in June, will most likely spend 99% of my time comatose on a beach towel or lounge chair recovering from work.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Are there any Thai Tom trips planned? I still haven't been there...

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Why donut bitch, you haven't introduced Lyra to the wonder? TSK.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, I'm sorry I couldn't make it after all. I did go down to Linda's, ordered a beer and sat near the door where my identifying shirt would be visible. Twice it seemed two different men were motioning to me across the room, but upon asking them if they were from ilx, they had no idea what I was talking about. In the midst of all this, I started having pretty pronounced chest pain coming from my heart, but radiating outwards. I was worried I was having a heart attack. I walked around outside, but just couldn't feel normal no matter how I stretched or breathed. Eventually I noticed a quiet place to sit down, so I sat down. Then I finally started to feel better, but I wanted to go home immediately. Not wanting to wait for the bus, I took a cab home. I actually feel fine now but nothing like that has ever happened to me before. I kept trying to figure out what might have caused it: the smoke inside Linda's? Did I eat some really fatty food today? But it just didn't add up. I still feel kindof weird about it.

Anyway, I'm sure I will catch you guys/gals later for the next Seattle F.A.P.

bimble (bimble), Saturday, 1 May 2004 05:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Bimble, I called your cell phone three times and left a message saying we were redirecting to the Elysian (based on your warning.)
Sorry about your pains.. I hope you're feeling better.. maybe this is why you didn't return my calls.

well, the plan for Top Pot Doughnuts at 11:30am or noon is still on, so you're more than welcome to try again and join us then.

(haha, Gareth and I are still talking at my pad and it's 3:24am, so we might be coming later, guys.)

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you dressed in brown in honor of Gareth's arrival?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Top Pot Belltown, near the Cinerama. There's another one up on Cap Hill, I think.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 1 May 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

yikes, i would have been up at the one on bellevue or summit or whatever

ron (ron), Saturday, 1 May 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry Ron =(
I am too Belltown-centric.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 1 May 2004 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, Gareth and I ready to go pretty much. He's just drinking coffee. We'll probably catch the noon or 12:30pm bus over to Top Pot in Belltown shortly. See you guys there!

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Pics, s'il vous plait! (But then, when don't we show 'em?)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Saturday, 1 May 2004 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

pics were taken last night at the Elysian Brewery... I'll hold off on posting them though until I get a second round of mild approval. Everyone saw the pics and was like "eeeeeeeeeeeeeh, i guess it's.. um... ok to post."

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 1 May 2004 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Gotcha, DB. Comforting to see that "Post FAP Syndrome" is still rife.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Saturday, 1 May 2004 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Just post stills from the last episode of Friends instead.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 1 May 2004 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Donut, the problem here is you keep assuming I have a cell phone. I don't. I am usually either online or at work, so I don't hear the phone. I also had some errands to take care of today, so I've been offline today. Yet we meet again. I am disappointed to have missed you and Gareth and anyone else who was in the gathering. I admit I've been under more stress than usual, maybe that's what it is.

Catch you later.

bimble (bimble), Saturday, 1 May 2004 22:55 (twenty-one years ago)

yo DB, I just called you and apparently your phone is at Easy Street. Call me late if'n you guys are up to something

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Saturday, 1 May 2004 23:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Back!

Top Pot goodness: Lyra, Ronny (briefly), Matos, Jen, Martin, Gareth, myself

Pike Place Market goodness: Matos, Jen, Martin, Gareth, myself

Easy Street records goodness: Matos, Jen, Martin, Gareth, myself (and this is where I left my cell phone accidentally for about 5 minutes, which is oddly the time Donna tried to call me. I only got your message now, Donna)

Matos, hope your tooth is feeling better.

Thai Tom goodness: Jen, Martin, Gareth, myself (also Jen and Martin scored some amazing vinyl goodness for cheap right across the street at Cellophane Squared.. Pere Ubu, Wire, Flipper.. ORIGINALS on vinyl in good condition for really cheap. Me jealous?... NOOOOOOO NOT AT ALL!)

Caffe Laddro in Fremont goodness: Jen, Martin, Gareth, myself
(Hi, Vladimir Lenin with a rubber ducky on his head)

PCC market goodness: Gareth, myself

Now we're home listening to Japan's Adolescent Sex and possibly changing it soon.

I'm feeling a little restful right now, and I think Gareth is too. But we are up for beers later, possibly. I'll make calls.

Bimble, I'm sorry. I assume you had a cell phone..(it's Seattle, sue me.). Anyway, I hope you're feeling less stressful, and there's always tomorrow, if you feel up for a day time thing tomorrow. (I think we will try to do the ferry to Bremerton thing tomorrow day)

So far, so fun!

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 2 May 2004 03:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I think we will try to do the ferry to Bremerton thing tomorrow day

The pilgrimage! To the nativity scene!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 2 May 2004 03:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Portland is going to be so much calmer, don't worry.

Casuistry (Chris P), Sunday, 2 May 2004 03:21 (twenty-one years ago)

You mean, the Portland coke/drug orgy isn't going to hap... oooh, shit.. oops. ssssh. I mean, um, never mind!

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 2 May 2004 03:46 (twenty-one years ago)

There was Thai Toming and I missed it again??? Argh. Top Pot was fun, though, it was good to see Gareth. I tried getting my ibook to connect outside, but it wouldn't work. :-P That's free 802 for you...

I am talking to Boy about grad schools- trying to lobby him into going to San Diego. The nice weather here recently has convinced me I'm happiest in 70F & sunny. :-)

lyra (lyra), Sunday, 2 May 2004 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Hurrah! And the thing is if you're close enough to the coast the temperature will indeed be like that most of the time -- LA and environs have always been warmer to me.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 2 May 2004 04:16 (twenty-one years ago)

gareth and i are officially tired and want beer. Someone come to my apartment with beer. I will give you cash money sex hoes. And we can just play records and hang out. that's the best plan I can come up with for tonight. Anyone down?

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 2 May 2004 04:51 (twenty-one years ago)

okee, well tomorrow, my only ideas:

* brunch in fremont.. LSD cafe or Touchstone bakery, anyone? Fremont Flea market too!

* ferry to bremerton and back. Probably in the afternoon. Cloudy or not.

Anyone down?

Gareth's shirt appears to misspell my name.

Casuistry (Chris P), Sunday, 2 May 2004 06:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Brian has a bit of the Simon Pegg about him.

Ed (dali), Sunday, 2 May 2004 06:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Those are some of the most up-close and personal shots of ILXors ever taken! Or at least shown on the board.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 2 May 2004 11:51 (twenty-one years ago)

MMMMMMM THAI TOM MMMMMMMMM

Gareth and Donna = dolls

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Monday, 3 May 2004 02:55 (twenty-one years ago)

(I thought this was the thread where G. confirmed he was coming either tomorrow or Tuesday afternoon, and now I don't see it. Also will he require housing? And has DB given him my info? So many questions...)

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 May 2004 03:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought he mentioned at Top Pot that he was arriving in PDX on Tuesday. But that might have changed since, anyway, so I will let him answer this. :-)

Was there ferrying today? The afternoon was nice, sunshine!!

lyra (lyra), Monday, 3 May 2004 04:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Well they sure sounded like great ideas, donut. Damn. I would definitely have gone along for any of it but I work Sundays. I work tomorrow too. How long is Gareth going to be in town?

p.s. I think if I was listening to Japan's Adolescent Sex I'd probably be thinking of changing it soon, too! Ha ha.

bimble (bimble), Monday, 3 May 2004 05:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh man, I wish I'd been along for some of this stuff. Woulda been a big improvement on my weekend.

Anybody going to Belle & Sebastien on Wednesday?

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Monday, 3 May 2004 06:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw man, ok, today.. lots of stuff.

Gareth, Jen, Martin, Donna, and I have brunch at the LSD cafe.. (Longshoreman's Daughter cafe in the Fremont neighborhood, right near the big Vladimir Lenin statue with the rubber ducky on its head). Then we go to Jive Time records, spend even MORE money on records (at least Jen, Martin, and I... I feel like Satan's incarnate fellow record shopper at this point), then Jen and Martin split off (thank you guys for coming out yet again, and allowing me to make you guys lose more money!) and Gareth, Donna, and I go see the Fremont Troll. Then we walk back down, explore the Fremont flea market, wait for a bus, until we realize that the Fremont Bridge is "broken" and the buses have been redirected, as are the cars (OH, were WE happy we weren't driving today.) So we cross the bridge (only pedestrians were allowed.. phew), and manage to run and catch the bus we wanted which was redirected, get off near the ferry terminals in the waterfront in downtown, catch a ferry to Bremerton, stop in Bremerton to allow Gareth to take a few photos for about 5 minutes, then get immediately back on the ferry back to Seattle. Here are the photos I took along the way...

(Alki shores in West Seattle, with a partly cloud covered Mt. Rainier on the right)

(and another shot of frosty and cloudy Mt. Rainier)
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethsunday/rainier.jpg

We get back to downtown and walk over to The New Orleans club in Pioneer Square, and I get this shot of the men's bathroom...
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethsunday/no_bathroom.jpg

Gareth, Donna, and I have a meal here while we watch the Climax Golden Twins scare off a few people from the joint
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethsunday/climaxgoldentwins.jpg

We meet up with Matos and catch female duo rock band the Sick Bees...
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethsunday/sickbees.jpg

Somehow, I caught CAPTAIN MORGAN (one of the "sponsors" of the Seattle Weekly music awards fest in Pioneer Square) along with a frightened and confused Donna and Gareth, respectively
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethsunday/captain_morgan.jpg

We see Akimbo rock the house.

Then I see part of the Swarming Hordes' set and then walk over to the Last Supper Club where most of the electronic acts are performing. Biggest and best surprise were final live act Siamese, a great live jungle/drum-n-bass duo...

Gareth will surely post his pics on his blog and/or here once he gets them developed. I can't wait.

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 3 May 2004 08:24 (twenty-one years ago)

The death/punk poses are things of utter, utter glory.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 3 May 2004 12:03 (twenty-one years ago)

omg the pirate photo!

teeny (teeny), Monday, 3 May 2004 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I have to give extra thanks to Matos for being around for us during all the musical parts of last night (minus the Climax Golden twins), especially given his tooth woes. He and others at the Weekly did a really good job turning out some great fun and talent for the performing bands. There was a photo taken of me and Matos (the one where I'm doing the fist thing), but I figure that he would have rather not have that photo go public, so I cropped him out of it. (Matos, once you see it, you'll understand)

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 3 May 2004 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Casu, I'll give Gareth your phone number wants he gets back from exploring more of downtown and Capitol Hill. (he's solo today, or most of the day at least.)

Bimble, yeah, G. leaves tomorrow morning. So, looks like you'll miss 'im. However, I plan to have a gettogether at my place near Fremont in the very near future (like within-a-week near future). And you're more than welcome to come by. As is Scott CE and Layna and anyone else who has not meet Gareth yet this weekend.

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 3 May 2004 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Casu, I'll give Gareth your phone number wants he gets back

haha, "once" he gets back. Greatest subtle Freudian slip ever or what?

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 3 May 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Also y'all can come to Portland.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 May 2004 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

(tears of laughter) DB, you'll have to swat the death-metal chicks away with a 2 x 4....

(And that punk photo: BEST product placement this year.)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 3 May 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Did Donna's hair get a lot shorter between the two sets of photos?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I was wondering that myself...

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

that'd be fake hair what I bought (and that doubles as a hat!)

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 04:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I am really sorry I was tied up tonight and couldn't be part of Gareth's last night in Seattle but I had MAD fun with him while he was here! Come back soon!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 08:26 (twenty-one years ago)

It was amazing having Gareth as a guest here. We obviously talked at length about U.S. vs. U.K. type things: food, politics, getting around and about, etc., especially London, and I feel a lot more comfortable and excited about my upcoming visit across the Atlantic come June. Anyway, I'm sad to see him go, but he will surely be having fun in Portland, the CA Bay Area, and all the scenery in between. Casuistry will surely show him the way, as will @d@m, Alex in SF(?), and others, respectively.

I have two more pics to post, but k u c i . o r g seems to be down now, so I can't upload the pics. They are just two shots from inside and above the dining area of Blue C Sushi, the conveyer belt/anime boat sushi place we went to last night, which ended our final episode of eating out... Donna joined us, and then we chilled our house for a little with beers and chips (the AMERICAN kind.)

Anyway, he hopefully should be at the King Street station for Amtrak waiting for his train or bus down to PDX as we speak.

Thanks to everybody above for hanging out or even attempting to hang out with us. It's been a crazy weekend, but a good kind of crazy, with just enough to time to relax a bit yesterday.

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

This also applies to Chris and Jody as well the week before, of course! (Sadly, I hadn't the time to go into as much detail on ilx to sum up the fun we had that weekend (if the food pics weren't enough), but I was busying cleaning up and preparing for the Gareth for three days.. haha) It's been a very fun week and a half here all 'round.

try seattle more

;-)

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway I checked and YES there is Laser Floyd at the Planetarium tonight so I know G. is going to be excited about that one.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Rah for the good host DB!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, anticlimactic at this point, since Gareth is now somewhere near Olympia right now on a train or bus... but here is where we ate last night, w/ Donna (Blue C Sushi in the Fremont neighborhood)

http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethmonday/bluec_2.jpg
http://www.kuci.org/~brianm/ile/garethmonday/bluec_1.jpg

The three of us also discovered that EVERY FUCKING RETAIL STORE in Fremont plays the Flaming Lips (Soft Bulletin and after of course)... frequently. Even in the Cold Stone creamery. If only the Cold Stone employees sang a jingle in Wayne Coyne's scratchy voice, then I can make royalties in claiming my stake from discovering the actual reserves of the ore that demarks the path down to Hell. (ok ok, i might be hyperbolizing a little bit here, but still..)

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Cold Stone or the Mix?

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Cold Stone!

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I wondered. The Mix was where we heard Zeppelin!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Immigrant Song" >>>>>>>>>>>>> "Do You Realize"

Especially when four ILXers bob their heads simultaneously to the former...

This thread gives me the envy.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:34 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a fantastic place, went to it last time I was in Seattle visiting DB. Food's good, the setting compelling.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 00:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey great pix DB! :)

Man... is it Gareth's aim in life to meet EVERY ILXor EVER? Has he ever been to Melbourne? (He probably has and I missed it or something).

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

i am free friday night, and probably a good part of sunday

ron (ron), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 03:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Thai Tom was sosososo good that I think Martin and I would be up for it two weekends in a row. Even if I vowed that all we were going to do this upcoming weekend was finish unpacking and cleaning the house.

Jen (nstop), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 03:52 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, right :)

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I am a Thai Tom vet (mmmmm...swimming rama) but inexperienced fap-wise. I could do late friday (like after 9), or Sunday. Otherwise I will wait till the next time (Mountain Goats Mountain Goats Mountain Goats). That's OK; if you have more than 4 or 5 people, the wait at Thai Tom's can be a little opressive, anyway.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 05:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd be happy to do Thai Tom, never been there. I'm free Friday or Saturday. This is in U-district right? Hey - I almost forgot to ask you guys/gals - you said Cellophane Square had VINYL? I don't recall ever seeing vinyl in there! Unless it's...upstairs or something? Hmm...

bimble (bimble), Thursday, 6 May 2004 03:05 (twenty-one years ago)

It was my first time in there, but yeah, they have vinyl... it's kinda right up front when you enter. There are three small bins of "recent arrivals" and then the rest of the stuff is on low shelves.

Perhaps they've remodeled and moved the vinyl recently?

Thai Tom is pretty much across the street from Cellophane Square. In fact the only reason we went into Cellphane Sq is cause we had a 30 minute wait to eat at Thai Tom.

martin m. (mushrush), Thursday, 6 May 2004 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

That CS has a small vinyl section right in front.. there are the "hot" records which are displayed better, and then the more common ones where you have to crouch down in a weird fluorescent lighted shelf. But the vinyl is there.. and I won't get into the jealous rage I had when I saw what Jen discovered there.

Nah, that store has had a vinyl section like that for years. Their section is like a fruit tree. You just have to go about once a season or so, if you're a vinyl junkie.

I'm up for a Thai tom early dinner this Friday

Thing is: we'll have to break up into parties of 4 or less for anyone interested. It's just impossible to fit a party of 5 or more given how tiny the place is. Thankfully there should be plenty of ways to kill time around that block (up the Ave from 45th st. on the west side of the street), like, oh, RECORD SHOPPING at Cellophane Squared! Or getting gargoyles at the Gargoyles store. or stuff like that.

those are gorgeous.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 14 May 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

They are really beautiful.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Marvellous stuff. :-) I recognize many of them locales, right down to the troll statue dude under the bridge.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't know about this until I saw the picture! I'm kind of pissed I miss this when I was in Seattle -- it would have been preferable to being attacked by bees (sadly, this is my most vivid memory from my trip to Seattle).

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Eep! :-( How blah.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I am grateful for the inside-the-ferry picture

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Nicole, when were you in Seattle? (before I got here obv. but still curious)

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:09 (twenty-one years ago)

2001 -- pretty long ago.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:11 (twenty-one years ago)

probably after I left last time, actually. I lived here Aug 99-March 01 before coming back June 03.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Friday, 14 May 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I vaguely remember Nicole telling me she would be in Seattle but unfortunately not available for any FAPping due to family reasons. (Nothing against her family, mind you!) And I also remember that weekend being the most ridiculously hot weekend in Seattle ever, and thinking "wow, what a.. uh, weird weather time to visit Seattle"

Gareth.. those pics are great. f'in great.

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:27 (twenty-one years ago)

gabbneb, it was the perfect ferry picture opportunity. Washington state just closed the snack bars in the ferries (due to being too expensive and not breaking even) but haven't gotten quite rid of the equipment in the snack bars yet.. hence the rather still lonely ghostly feel of the upper deck in question.

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I like that one w/me and DB and Donna in it--a couple of my coworkers as well, haha.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:31 (twenty-one years ago)

the ferry picture would have been slightly more perfect if it displayed the Big Cookie i used to insist on buying and eating on the ferry, but it's close

gabbneb (gabbneb), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:32 (twenty-one years ago)

(sad that they're closing though; seems to be a lot of cost-cutting in the system)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw, I've gotten soda on those ferries (I think). Oh well.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 May 2004 00:48 (twenty-one years ago)

They still serves snacks and soda on the ferries, just now in vending machines. You can even get boutique vending machine coffee on the Washington state ferries (gasp, shockah.) Gareth was really amused that buttons that referred to the extras for the coffee vending machine were called "Compliments".

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 15 May 2004 01:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Not "complements"?

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 May 2004 02:23 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, I was arguing with Gareth that maybe they misspelled that very word! which would make some sort of sense.

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 15 May 2004 02:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Then again I guess it was free -- compliments of the great state of Washington!

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 May 2004 02:29 (twenty-one years ago)

i like these pictures. they remind me of a well-laid-out SimCity level.

Kingfish Disraeli (Kingfish), Saturday, 15 May 2004 08:29 (twenty-one years ago)

lovely pics, gareth.
