those of you who CAN, that is.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

you've made me angry.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the thread where we listen to Ally

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like Ally to play some Dimmu Borgir.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

You won't like him when he's angry.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think you'll like me.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

You thought right.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm as harmless as a sponge

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

charmless even

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

You're as harmless and charmless as a spongebob.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

i still think that ally playing dimmu borgir -- or cradle of filth -- would be amusing.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I step away for a few minutes and you are talking about perversions. And this is only SpongeBob I refer to here!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Lepers Among Us - Dimmu Borgir

or

Presents For The Poison Hearted - Cradle of Filth

or

just some Helloween.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

is spongebob into gaping anal?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

That's his specialty, Tad.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

ally will be so ashamed when she sees this thread

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

spongebob looks like a weetabix.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

He should be put into the shredder with all of the other little trolliekins. I have a list of people I'd like to destroy today and he is one of them (though he is not technically a person).

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I envision El Diablo (and Dan P.) leading The Last Temptation of Christ-style mass protests when the movie comes out. Only a lot more violent.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

the passion of the spongebob

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

It couldn't be long enough for EDR. And when he dies, HE DIES.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

i dunno ... i think that building an entire religion around a crucified animated sponge would be kinda cool.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

In Sponge we trust.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

You could go right ahead and do that, just emphasize that when SpongeJesus BobChrist died for our sins, that was it. He died. And we're all happy now.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd have to kill all of his followers with rocks, but it would be worth it.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, I am feeling very Alex in NYC today.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Who needs one St. Stephen when you could have millions!

(Nicole, drop me a line if you'd like, though I have to go take care of my laundry here in a sec.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

how does Ally get away with this?

Allyzay, Monday, 14 June 2004 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it Usher?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it YMO?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I tell you one think, it isn't me this time. I'm in hot sweaty London. I am sure this special guest will be much more exciting than I was anyway.

Pete (Pete), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

(One thinjk - shoot me now!)

Pete (Pete), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Certainly can't be Hanle y, he is out chasing icemoths.

The SPECIAL GUEST STAR might have had a photo taken of him with some ostrichs near Solvang once.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Johnny Cash?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

IT'S MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Because you're mine, I eat the ostrich.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

It is actually Franz Ferdinand, sorry.

Allyzay, Monday, 14 June 2004 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

The SPECIAL GUEST STAR might have had a photo taken of him with some ostrichs near Solvang once.

I didn't even know I was going to be on the show! And I thought my radio days were long past...

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

*rereads statement and wonders when El Diablo had the sex change*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

About the same time she joined Franz Ferdinand!!!!

My guest is actually MORRISSEY.

Allyzay, Monday, 14 June 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Try to get him to play some crunk.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

When did Mmoorriisseeyy join FRANZ FERDINAND?

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG YOUR GUEST IS WAYNE HUSSEY (and he's singing Smiths/Morrissey songs)!!!!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Morrissey's hair is too nice to be in Franz Ferdinand. They are the fug.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG YOUR GUEST IS WAYNE HUSSEY (and he's singing Smiths/Morrissey songs)!!!!!!!

Allyzay, Monday, 14 June 2004 15:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I am listening! And I hear things!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Wheras I for once cannot seem to get the stream to work. Why did the lovely website change?

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

You have to scroll over that main graphic to even find the streams properly. Crazed.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a feeling we might have network/new firewall problems at this end. Boo.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

We needed a new "schtick" for the site!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I am feeling the voib (the show is good too, hur hur).

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't get it to work for me.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Michael B, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

HAHA ONCE AGAIN I AM SUPERIOR

Some jackass (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I will join the Jackass in the smugfuckery. So not even the low-fidelity stream works?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

HAHA ONCE AGAIN I AM SUPERIOR

Take your patronising sub-Sarah Lawrence weekends-in-the-Hamptons bullshit and shove it!

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

No, not even the low-fidelity stream works. I think it might be a firewall problem though, but I'm not sure.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

works for me. hooray government.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Take your patronising sub-Sarah Lawrence weekends-in-the-Hamptons bullshit and shove it!

But surely you should not, as they say, try it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah if your work isn't allowing port 8000 you'll be having a problem it seems.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Is the special guest there?

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

DANGERBOOTY IN DA HOUSE

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

(Also, who blocks port 8000???? mentalism)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:37 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.scandinavianleather.com/images/dudes.jpg

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

It's good to be the musical director!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

now P4tr1cK is saying the reason he did not call in with a bunch of "something about mary" retard quotes is because he did not want to offend my girlfriend. I am embarrassingly sweaty from embarrassment.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I see we have pure Danmusik now mit der DAF!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

The special guest is there but lurking somewhere, I gather.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Tom sounds different on the radio/phone!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

HAHAHAHA I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

PURE MULLET ROCK!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this "waiting for a star to fall"?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

(I missed Tom on the phone! There was a fire alarm and I just got back in the building, bah.)

It's "Oh Sherri" by Steve Perry of Journey.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's go back to the point where people responsible for our national security sing "Da Funk" and "With Arms Wide Open" on the air.

Also, "OH SHERRY"!!!!!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Me: What the hell is this?!?!?!?
Other Coworker J0n: That's... Steven Perry. I'm kind of ashamed to know that.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

"responsible"

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

This DJ discussion is beautiful. The shortness of rock singers!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I like how I can hear the AIM sound effects in the background.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

HAHA

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

YOU BASTARDS I'M TRYING NOT TO LAUGH TOO LOUD HERE

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

"For Jesus or fascism?"
"For Scott Stapp." *lustful growls*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

This is a Scissor Sisters song, is it? Crazy.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:23 (twenty-one years ago)

This is not electrobix!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, this is.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

WOW

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I love how every Scissor Sisters song is tons better than "Comfortably Numb."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Never mind that, what was the gayest cowboy song ever that was on before this?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I was wondering about that. Are we getting it again now?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Like Barry White meets the Bellamy Brothers meets gay cowboys eating pudding.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

*checks playlist* Ha, it's Barry McGuire! Goddamn that's a weird one.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

this is not the guy who sang creed:
http://members.cox.net/obxpix/slides/100_0042.JPG

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

This Miss Kittin song is great!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

As is this Liasons Dangereuses song. Who the heck are these guys?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a DAF side project. Re-released!!

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Fucking genius. I must get this.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm glad you all are enjoying it!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

whoa whoa whoa wait this is a new album?!?!??

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Donut Bitch doing rainbow noises is truly something.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

OK either AMG or amazon or somebody is full of it. Oh well.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

'TIS A PITY I CAN'T LISTEN TO THIS AT WORK ARRRGH

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, this has to be the most ridiculous racial stereotype disco song ever. "SHANGHAIIIIIIIIIIIED"

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:53 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG YOU HAVE TO FIND THE VERSION OF "BELLVILLE RENDEZ-VOUS" BY M FROM THE CLOSING CREDITS OF THE MOVIE!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Is "Kung-fu" Fighting disco?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

"Kung Fu Fighting", even.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

This is even more over the top.

Dan, explain yourself -- is this a track from The Apple?

I was free-associating; I saw "Triplets Of Bellville" Sunday night and was reminded that "Belleville Rendez-vous" rocks and was amazed to discover that the remixy closing credits version was done by M.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahahaha today's show is like some spy movie, Dangerbooty travelling all over the world fighting fascism and christian rock with the help of the FBI, driving mitsubishis with german girls and getting shanghaied in bangkok, then finally the big showdown and a california sunset. roll credits.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

DANGERBOOTY and AK-47, controlling the airwaves!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

God my typing was shit when I entered that playlist, I swear to god I can actually spell "Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft"

AK-47, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

oh my god this was sooo fun

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, the 'Lectric Funk song was from 1979.. yeah, the lyrics are terrible.

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Buh.

Comment dits-on le NA? (Nick A.), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:17 (twenty-one years ago)

but hopefully my thesis on saying the names of dictators sexily made up for it.

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

anyway, mad mad thanks to Ally for letting me do this... seriously.

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, ask someone else because i think i gave you bad directions to APT... :(

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

It were great fun to hear K!z!k's new identity on the radio, it were. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

i missed show. still sleeping :(

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Seriously tho what is up with that photo upthread? WTF?

Next week is the show entirely dedicated to songs in other languages. It'll be great but unfortunately nothing like today.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Jouyez "Ca Plane Pour Moi" pour moi, s'il vous plait.

Comment dits-on le NA? (Nick A.), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

blocking port 8000 = shoutcast default = get to work, you drones?

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

One of these days I will listen, Ally, I swear!

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Alright, let's be serious for a second. It's 10 am and I'm awake, what the hell does "free with boats" mean? I mean, I could've just listened to the lyrics but that would've been too much like doing German homework.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Argh, I have to miss this show! I'm just sneaking in a couple of posts now before work calls...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Otis. Let's be serious for a second. Whatever comes free with a boat, isn't that an incentive to buy the boat? Duh.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Suicide Girls Live Burlesque Tour means NAKED INDIE CHICKS CREEPY. But Gerling are good.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey Ally, did you see this yet? It's great news!

http://adam-ant.net/2004remastered.html

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, that is AWESOME NEWS.

Otis, you wanna go see Gerling? HAHAHAHA wait I just realized that the 19th and the 20th were last weekend, guess we can't go see Gerling.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

A friend of mine saw Suicide Girls when they came to Northampton. He said they were good.

Coked up muppets = Crank Yankers. But that last song was way better, obv.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I think we should invite the suicide girls to our house.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

They wouldn't come, it's too far uptown and we don't own enough Animal Collective.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

(I would like to point out that the new splash page is a gigantic bag of cuntymints. That is all.)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, it is fuckstickery.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait a minute, the Suicide Girls have a band??

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh, i'm listening! only for a couple of mins while my officemate's out of the room though because my headphones won't stretch to the computer...

toby (tsg20), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:48 (twenty-one years ago)

what is wrong with the page? Click on "TEXT ONLY" if it is really causing you a problem, I'm sorry. It works fine for me always.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Still can't get anything to work at my end and I've come back from Spain especially*.

*Coincidentally may be a better word here.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

if it's any consolation it's not like the show is that good or anything.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Everything I've heard has been awesome except for maybe the YMO one.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

OH MY GOD

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude he just said "schlafen"!!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

JA JA JA WAS IST LOS? WAS IST DAS????

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the exact moment that Emma says "turn off that music, I can't concentrate"

inside I'm saying "EXACTLY"

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

EINS ZWEI POLIZEI

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I love Yer Man O'

Am trying other software. I remain undaunted.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO CONCENTRATE DURING EINS ZWEI POLIZEI!!!!!!!!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

"Yeah yeah yeah, what's up, what is that" may be the greatest chorus ever.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

it sounds like every conversation you and I have ever had, actually.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I like imagining what the guy who was "rapping" sounds like without the vocal treatment.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Does bourbon count as water?

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes. Bourbon counts.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Does Le Mots have "Psychiatric," Ally? Huh, does it? Because that's her best song, Chuck Eddy says so. It samples the Elephant Man.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoa. It doesn't. Why you're quoting CE to get yoru point across is kind of beyond me though.

I wanna just play samples of Kyle MacLachlan's inner monologues from Dune on my show, speaking of David Lynch. SPICES. THE WORM. THE SLEEPER HAS AWOKEN. SPICES. etc.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Thank you for the banana split.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait a few more songs, Otown.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

hahaha I made my German class listen to this song.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you also make them drink corn beer? Cuz a kid in my fin-de-siecle Vienna class last semester made everyone eat beer soup.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

OTIS I ALREADY TOLD YOU YOU'RE INVITED TO THE BIER GARDEN WITH ALL OF US THE DAY THAT WE 'HOLD CLASS' IN A ROOM FULL OF AWESOME WEIßBIER UND LAMBICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoah best song ever!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:23 (twenty-one years ago)

What, Denki Groove?

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

it's like Terminator X got his hands kidnapped by angry anime robots!!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know, isn't this what tentacle porn sounds like?

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

It sounds like Pop Will Eat Itself doing a tribute to Gamera.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

TENTACLE PORN

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

TENTACLE PORN!!!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

TENTACLE PORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Do the suckers get pixelated like nipples then?

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

my favorite part of the Denki Groove song is when the track totally dies off for about two seconds and then suddenly dude screams out "DAREDAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" like a fucking loon.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't access you, Ally, but I'm sure you're swell. Hope everyone's dancing like the posters in the iPod advert.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Disco Queen of the night!!!

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

From NY -> LA!!!

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

The gay song?

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

This one's pretty gay.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh who'm I kidding, they're all gay.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I can play the gay song.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Gay tentacle porn, shit.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

The two go together.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

What are you sayign about the A*Teens?

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

No, not about the A*Teens. I was just free associating. I don't know if I put this version of "Mamma Mia" on your computer, Ally, but if so, I apologize. At least I didn't give you the Japanese Elvis impersonator's version of "Come As You Are".

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

"At least"???? fuck you too. I have Dani Siciliano's version of Come As You Are, it's awful. I'm playing it next week.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, that's mature.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Did I mentioin that Patsy Gallant is MY FAVORITE CANADIAN.

Otis Wheeler (Otis Wheeler), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

No, they were two unrelated statements actually. Whether or not playing Dani Siciliano is mature is another story, but it is "cover songs" week next week.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you play "Ca Plane Pour Moi"?

(Also, Ally pleeze email me so I have your real email address)

St. Nicholas Ridiculous (Nick A.), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

is your address on here real? I'm emailing you now.

Allyzay, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Yep. Dope.

St. Nicholas Ridiculous (Nick A.), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Yay, got it working.

Oh, Ally has finished. Oh well, next week...

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to lodge my formal protest YET AGAIN of this whole east coast/west coast time difference thing.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...
Last two shows of the summer, people! Before my big time slot change!

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

And when will you be broadcasting after that change?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know. Later than I am now, probably an 8pm (Eastern) time slot at some point between Mon-Thurs but the day isn't set until Sept.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Prime time POWER. Or something.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Nobody at this school is actually UP at 10am so I feel like I'm wasting my time broadcasting that early over the summer.

I mean, they are missing THe Court of the Crimson King for fuck's sake!!!!

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

! Ally goes prog?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm still going to send you the Fake Fictions cd, Ally. I'm just waiting for our drummer to print up the pretty covers.

St. Nicholas (Nick A.), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned you should really go look at my playlist.

Nick, I am awaiting anxiously!!! I don't plan to reapply to staff in the fall (because it is REALLY IRRITATING to deal with some of this bullshit) so I'll have to weasel it in if I don't get it before Sept.

But I'll play it, at least.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I should just send you an ugly version for now then.

St. Nicholas (Nick A.), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

It would be great if you had a later timeslot, then evil work would not block out your broadcast.

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...
YO BIZZOCHES

kephm, Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:33 (twenty years ago)

oh and i'm tempted to post my iTunes directory here because I don't have erasure on my computer :(

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:33 (twenty years ago)

(The great thing about that Atomic 7 track is you don't actually have to have it to "play" it!)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:35 (twenty years ago)

yes I know.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:36 (twenty years ago)

"This is the thread where ILE makes all kinds of requests for Ally's radio show"

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:42 (twenty years ago)

This is pretty cool.

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:43 (twenty years ago)

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:54 (twenty years ago)

I was specifically referring to the Soviet song myself, but yeah this streaming stuff has gotten way better these past few years hasn't it? But of course it's cool to hear Ally. Usually I have to be at work during this.

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:55 (twenty years ago)

Christ, Mark E Smith sounds like he's gargling Edwyn Collins.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 15:57 (twenty years ago)

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:22 (twenty years ago)

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:28 (twenty years ago)

Play some Number One Cup!

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:30 (twenty years ago)

Mark you need to go into PowerDVD's settings and change it so it is not your default player for online media

Brigadier Rainham Steele, Mrs (blueski), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:30 (twenty years ago)

This SCSI-9 is pretty cool. Must add to list.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:33 (twenty years ago)

(also mark if you're using Windows then you can probably re-associate .pls files under the file associations menu. You can get to it by opening My Computer, clicking the Tools menu and selecting "Folder Options". Click the "File Types" tab, scroll down to PLS, select it and then change the file association using the button at the bottom, to the program you want to use instead, like WinAmp)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:36 (twenty years ago)
