In Texas, you don't spend time outside in July. That's like asking God to slap you with some of that fun little skin cancer, or heat exhaustion, or even both if you're especially lucky.

So in the next two weeks I figure I have two plans of attack to follow:

I learn how to play guitar. I write some songs. I record them. I release an album. It becomes mega popular. I shake my moneymaker from coast to coast.

Or.

I adopt a much healthier lifestyle. I work out like a champ. I shovel in nothing but salads. I take people's breath away. I come back a stone cold fox.

Oh nevermind. I'll probably just try to work on being a better writer so I can express myself better, on top of doing the usual work thing, and oh, my mom's going to love me for the next couple of weeks because I am SO going to be the best nurse she's ever had. Oh, and I'll be making occasional forays into the temporary ILX worlds LIKE THE ONLINE JUNKIE I AM. ;)

it was good! although funnily enough you could pretty much watch it from the outside for free (they have WIDE columns of entrace gates and you can pretty much sit outside and have a good view of the video screen and decent sound).

They were kind of good - it was a bit sad too to see them being so old, so sad to see paul simon with no hair, even sadder to see art garfunkel to STILL HAVE THAT HAIR arrrgh. No fights onstage but I still think they were trying to outstage each other a bit. P.S. was very showy and kept waving his arms about.

His voice was a lot better than A.G. though, AG still hits the high notes but when he did the end bit of Bridge over troubled water you can tell he was being careful and wasn't like belting it like you think he would.

The everly brothers were good too, who came on halfshow to do like 4 songs.. dreammm dream dream dreammmm.

Decided to start my encyclopedist career and worked on Wikipedia a bit.
Learned how to use the Arriflex SR3.
Watched my gf take her first English horseback lesson.
Had a dubbing session for my film; I screened it yesterday.
Finished watching The Kingdom 2 and have gone to offer burnt sacrifices for a third part. Haven't watched too much else b/c of filmmaking's demands on my time, but we started end-of-term screenings now.
Read Wells's Short History of the World and Schlosser's Reefer Madness. Also still slowly chipping away at Biskind's Easy Riders, Raging Bulls.
