I remember the Real Ghostbusters with blonde-haired Egon. I never could understand why they made him and Peter look so different. There was also a comic based on that cartoon that was published in Finnish for several years.

It's amazing how many of these made their way to Finland. Besides the ones on the list we had Thundercats, Gobots, Alf (the animated one, not the sitcom with a puppet), Snorks, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Robotech, Captain Planet, Masters of the Universe, etc. But Transformers was only shown on satellite, and I was so jealous of this one friend who had it and who could watch the show.

There was also an Alf comic book which also ran for a few years too in Finland. It focused on his life on Earth (like the sitcom but unlike the animation), but had a lot more SF and fantasy stuff (time traveling, etc.) due to obvious lack of budget restrictions.

I thought it was Centurions but no those are those weird mech dudes with the creepy holes throughout their body.

Wow, I watched Bev Hills Teens everyday, and I have no recollection of that themesong (which kind of rules btw). I remember specific episodes too. However, the JEM themesong is very much still in my consciousness.

There's a pretty good chance I watched the majority of these shows, but I really can't remember most of them. What would definitely help here, would be a guide about the channels these shows were on. CBS and NBC didn't really come in on my TV, so I mostly watched ABC shows. I'm fairly positive Droids was shown in part of an hourlong block that also included an Ewoks cartoon.

And I'm pretty sure Dinosaurs was early 90's.

I remember the Bev Hills guitar player dude tried doing a show by himself without the chick from his band, and it was all guitar solos and the crowd started booing.. but then at the last minute, the chick showed up with her keyboard guitar and pretty much all the other parts were filled in by her and the crowd cheered.

The series finale of Dinosaurs concerns the irresponsible actions of the dinosaurs toward their environment, and the ensuing Ice Age which leads to their demise. The episode begins with the failure of a beetle swarm to show up and check the spread of a form of creeper vine. The reason is later shown to be the destruction of the beetle's breeding ground to create a wax fruit factory. The Wesayso Corporation takes charge of the attempt to destroy the vine, which it does by spraying the planet with defoliant. The operation destroys the vine, but kills off all plant life on the planet as well. B.P. Richfield assumes that the creation of clouds will bring rain, allowing the plants to grow back, and so decides to create clouds by dropping bombs in the planet's volcanoes to cause eruptions and cloud cover. The dark clouds instead instigate global cooling, and viewers are left in no doubt as to the fate of the dinosaurs. The final scene of the series depicts a color-warped broadcast from newscaster Howard Handupme, eerily staring into the camera in a slowly freezing studio, and droning, "Goodnight...Goodbye." The credits then roll over a shot of the Sinclairs' house, slowly disappearing beneath a snow drift, while a melancholy string instrumental plays. The episode contains a clear, dark message of environmental responsibility, and, while not overt in its portrayal of the extinction of the dinosaurs, the episode was still a marked change from its normal humor and merited a parental warning in the TV listings.

Been watching Inhumanoids for the first time. Well not the first time, I remember seeing an episode once back when it first aired, but had no idea what the show was called. It was weird enough to leave a deep impression on me and I've often wondered about it and then randomly came upon it on the internet once day and it was like discovering a forgotten piece of my childhood.

The show is insane. First of all it is heavily serialized, which is making me want to see the whole series and see where things go. It has a sort of Evangelion-esque vibe: team of scientists headed by a woman who use power suits to do battle with giant monsters. The monsters are terrifying Lovecraftian ancient horrors, awoken as a result of industrial drilling, and it is super scary and gorey for a cartoon made to sell toys. Think Cronenberg directing Ghostbusters. Main monster D'Compose is an undead dinosaur with an exposed ribcage who in the second episode OPENS HIS RIB CAGE and imprisons someone in it. It was created by the same team that made the OG G.I. Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony cartoons. There are sentient trees and rocks, and one of the scientists has very Californian new age characterization, bringing up "vibes" and "auras". Amazing pulpy stuff, this. Incredible what it gets away with (including horrific transformations and monster amputation) and feeling like the best video game you never played. Not able to use the words "Death" or "Kill" it has characters saying things like "If his friends release him, we're ended." Archetypally evil human corporate overlord Blackthorne wears a trenchcoat and eyepatch and pressures the senator into defunded the team of scientists trying to stop these monsters, known as Earth Corps. At one point they have to call around to try and find funding for their power suit-based research:

"You've been slamming the phone down a lot lately."
"I'd rather be slamming two heads together!"

This show seems really well-written compared to other shows of the time. Also been watching "Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light" from the same team. He-Man was my favorite show when I was a kid but didn't hold up at all upon revisiting, these other shows are actually decent, pulpy, comicy fun.

The show actually pauses before that moment so you can see D'Compose's heart beat a few times. Insane.

Dang this show is insane. In one episode a monster pours molten metal into the mouths of civil war soldiers, giving them life, but fails to command them because of course they start fighting each other. Another episode involves a teenage death cult, where all the teenagers are turned into giant rampaging undead. It's a weird mix of disco and punk fashions.

Also the heroes have amazing hero names.
