title was suggested by someone else on the last thread, can't remember who at the moment. anyway i think it's a good 'un.

Why was there no poll? Us lurkers have a right to know!
― kv_nol, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:21 (eighteen years ago)
(Tongue in cheek obviously!)
Is Charley bipolar? Seriously?
― *rumpie*, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:24 (eighteen years ago)
what poll?!
― jed_, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:26 (eighteen years ago)
We were going to have a poll each week, I think. But that was when we were going to have a thread each week.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:28 (eighteen years ago)
hahahaha
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
the twins are psychic task
so so funny
― czn, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:43 (eighteen years ago)
"OMG these things work." "Big Brother, you have made us psychopathic."
Those were the only things I got form the whole conversation.
― aldo, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:44 (eighteen years ago)
was laura the only one who could see gerry covering himself in slop?!
― czn, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:45 (eighteen years ago)
aldo, you missed the majesty of amanda's "a chicken and mushroom apple pie?"
― czn, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:46 (eighteen years ago)
this bears repeating on this thread in case anyone missed it:
Jonathon does not appear to have gone. This has, however, allowed him to deliver the zing "Ah Laura, delightful to see you upright."

I'm amused that I'm sitting here wondering how you know what's going to happen when it hasn't happened yet, and after half an hour I realised that I was watching on delay. I R BRANE.

Aw psychopathic twins.
No way will Ziggy leave. Though he is funny when he goes all emo in his hoodie.
― Archel, Thursday, 28 June 2007 21:09 (eighteen years ago)
no way. "i would like to put in a request to leave" does not equal "can i go now please?".

The Brian thing they just showed on BBBM ("which one of these was not by William Shakespeare"; "I loved Babe, I was vegetarian for a week.") was SEVEN SHAED OF AWESOME. Brian must win, srsly.
― aldo, Thursday, 28 June 2007 21:32 (eighteen years ago)
I LOVE THE TWINS. THE TWINS MUST WIN.
Or at least Brian, if not them. Sometimes I wonder if he's actually cleverer than he lets on, and that he's realised it the loveable-but-hopeless ones that always do well. Then I come to my senses.
So has Jonathan actually gone then, today (proper today, as opposed to today on TV?) If not, was he pulling a big sympathy stunt to avoid being nominated?
― Matt DC, Thursday, 28 June 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)
No, Jonathan has not gone. Neither has Ziggy or Carole.
― aldo, Thursday, 28 June 2007 22:00 (eighteen years ago)
I was just about to start a new thread, title based around "Hello, Big Brother, I'd like to leave now" which is the new catchphrase.
But, this one does make sense to have, and will stay current for a while.
― Mark G, Thursday, 28 June 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)
OK, this story...
Brian reiterated his belief that women do not poo like men, tonight.
"They asked me a question about womens' shits," he revealed to the other housemates after being asked questions in order to win some treats. "They don't do proper shits, do they? Amanda told me the other day she don't do a poo. Women do rabbit poo."
The other housemates, astounded by this revelation, began to laugh. "That...it comes out like tiny pellets?" snickered Nicky.
"Brian, it's the same," sighed Laura, wondering: "How can he be so dumb?"
However, Brian was not to be deterred. "Women don't do full-on turds," he insisted. "I don't think women go for a proper poo."
"We're all the same inside," Tracey told him. "Next time I go for a proper poo I'll show you...we do proper logs!"
Moving onto the topic of farting, Brian added that he didn't believe women did "proper farts...I never hear the twins fart, or Chanelle fart."
"Women are just more discreet about it," noted Sam, backed up by Carole, who said that when the twins did fart, they would "go into the toilet and giggle".
A bemused Jonathan concluded the fecal talk by exclaiming: "Do you know, what I love about this show is the highbrow conversation...It's like the Culture Show isn't it? Sadly, I feel more at home here than on the Culture Show."
― aldo, Friday, 29 June 2007 06:53 (eighteen years ago)
That's the BB talk I like to hear.
Or at least Brian, if not them. Sometimes I wonder if he's actually cleverer than he lets on
On BBLB yesterday, they were saying that they had contacted his school, and that he has a GCSE in English. His school principal confirmed that Shakespeare was an "unavoidable" part of the GCSE curriculum, so there's no way he didn't at one point know who the man was.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 29 June 2007 07:00 (eighteen years ago)
Who do you want evicted on Friday?
Billi Bhatti 57% Carole Vincent 12% Tracey Barnard 31%
http://vote.sparklit.com/poll.spark/1045929
― Mark G, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:38 (eighteen years ago)
It's really dropping dramatically!
Tracey could actually be the 'surprise' eviction tonight!
Bear in mind, Seany didn't have the 'majority' vote last week, even though that poll had him over 50%.
― Mark G, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:40 (eighteen years ago)
God, I hope Tracey goes tonight. She's one of the worst housemates in BB history. She's contributed absolutely nothing so far, apart from the "did you get my baccy" incident mentioned in the last thread. I actually picked up my phone and voted last night, for the first time ever.
― nate woolls, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:44 (eighteen years ago)
There was an awful lot of hate for her on BBBM last night.

Mr Mael, where are you?
― Mark G, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:48 (eighteen years ago)
Actually, I don't think he's called Russell at all.
I think he's called "Colin Moulding, from XTC, circa 1979"
― Mark G, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:49 (eighteen years ago)
I'd prefer Russell Grant
― nate woolls, Friday, 29 June 2007 08:51 (eighteen years ago)
"Do you know, what I love about this show is the highbrow conversation...It's like the Culture Show isn't it?'
i take it he hasn't seen The Culture Show recently then? it's about as highbrow as Hollyoaks. jesus, Brian must go. i loathe this cult of ignorance, and even more so if it's fake. him and Gerry are my unfavourites. not that Gerry's thick, i just don't like him.

I thought it was funny, but can someone clarify the deal with England's smoking ban for me? Will the housemates no longer be allowed to smoke at the designated smoking section in the garden?
― accentmonkey, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)
the big Brother house is a microstate and thus not part of UK sovreign territory and not subject to its laws.
― Grandpont Genie, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)
The ban covers workplaces and enclosed public areas which I don't think the BB garden comes into. But I wouldn't put it past BB to ban it anyway since they seem intent on breaking the hosuemates down at the moment.
― Archel, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:17 (eighteen years ago)
They're always intent on breaking the housemates down
― Tom D., Friday, 29 June 2007 14:18 (eighteen years ago)
I don't know how the ban will work in England, but since the ban came into force in Wales, you can't even smoke at bus stops.
― nate woolls, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:33 (eighteen years ago)
The "Smoking area" is external, away from windows.
― Mark G, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:40 (eighteen years ago)
I know, but that Grace Dent lady on the RT site seems to think they're not going to be allowed to smoke. I was just wondering if she was right.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)
There's an interpretation which says that since the HMs are paid a daily rate for being on the show, they're employees of Endemol and so technically the whole house area is their 'workplace'. On this basis they wouldn't be able to smoke anywhere, even in the garden.
― aldo, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:50 (eighteen years ago)
There's also an interpretation that says the BB House is a TV set and thus exempt. Probably rubbish though.
― tpp, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:52 (eighteen years ago)
I see. In our no-smoking law, a place of work that is also a home need not be smoke-free. This was mostly brought in to stop prisoners from fucking killing everyone because they couldn't have a fag.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:53 (eighteen years ago)
Surely they would be allowed to smoke outside, AFAIK the balcony outside our office is still going to allow smoking when the ban comes in.
― Colonel Poo, Friday, 29 June 2007 15:00 (eighteen years ago)
TV sets aren't exempt from the ban in Scotland because they are still a workplace for the actors/presenters/guests/whatever, crew, etc.
You can still smoke in designated rooms in hotels (think that comes under the same thing as what accentmonkey said about prisons). Outside is fine, bus shelters etc it depends on how many walls there are - it has to be more open than closed, basically.
― ailsa, Friday, 29 June 2007 16:58 (eighteen years ago)
but tv sets are usually enclosed, bb garden isn't. i think they'll be fine. apart from the increased risk of lung cancer, obv.

Mind you, I'm also going right off Laura.
Billi: I found out who was talking behind my back. Laura: Who? Billi: Ziggy. Laura: Who? CJ?
There's no CJ in the house, you daft woman.

Billi turned out to be more of a dick in his interview than I thought, but also a surprisingly candid game-player. Albeit one with little idea of how said game worked.
― aldo, Friday, 29 June 2007 21:34 (eighteen years ago)
Billi has been a dick all week, but now after seeing what could have been if he and Charley had joined forces, it makes me wish he could have stayed a bit longer. But alas, Charley will probably be gone next week unless BB manages to find another way to keep her in.
― musically, Saturday, 30 June 2007 06:12 (eighteen years ago)
Oh they will. I suggest:
a) Pub Brawl challenge. Last housemate standing immune from nominations.
b) Who's Sucked Off the Most Minor Premiership Players? challenge.
c) They ban smoking in the house on July 1 and happy-go-lucky People's Raver Tracey is arrested after trying to inhale Laura during a vivid nightmare.
― Noodle Vague, Saturday, 30 June 2007 08:26 (eighteen years ago)
just saw billie on BBLB. i like his candidness. his attempts at astute game playing obv didnt work but i like the fact hes not a showboating idiot desperate to do anything to get a celeb contract like the rest. hes maybe a bit too honest though, and also a bit glum/precious/takes himself too seriously to really get the public on his side, but even if he failed, he at least seems like he went in there to actually just play for the sake of it, rather than to get on the cover of hello. i hope charley doesnt go next. youd think billie would actually like charley more as they seem kindred spirits in a way.

Another quality zing by Jonathan:
Big Brother called for the most "insightful" housemate to the diary room this morning, prompting Brian to begin boasting about his capabilities.
After Big Brother made the announcement, Carole, Jonathan and Brian all raced for the diary room door, trying to force each other out of the way and get control over the handle.
Jonathan joked: "You can have it when you take my cold dead hands." While they wrestled for control, Brian repeatedly insisted: "I'm insightful!"
Laura didn't seem convinced by Brian's claims, explaining that the word meant someone who was "logical" and not excitable.
However, Brian persisted with his claims: "I'm well insightful, I'm one of the most insightful people I know."
Carole eventually forced her way into the diary room to the others' disappointment but Brian wouldn't let the subject pass, repeating the fact he was "insightful" to Jonathan and Ziggy as they sat on the sofas.
Jonathan teased Brian, laughing: "You are getting confused; you are very tall, you have a very good sight of everything."
― aldo, Monday, 2 July 2007 08:30 (eighteen years ago)

also, seven deadly sins task.
― Mark G, Monday, 2 July 2007 15:42 (eighteen years ago)
wasn't that last night? or did she get drunk again?
― Gukbe, Monday, 2 July 2007 15:50 (eighteen years ago)
that was clearly last night since that's when they showed charley's party. typically ch4 have set up the entire series like it was going to be some massive sex romp (4 people beds, glass shower etc) but refuse to show so much as a bare arse. not that i want to see anyone on there's bare arse but, y'know.
― jed_, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:04 (eighteen years ago)
They save the bare arses for the DVD, I assume.
― Noodle Vague, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:05 (eighteen years ago)
I nearly cried laughing at Amanda falling forwards in the diary room. Bless her.
― accentmonkey, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:35 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle's arse has been visible a few times.
Lolz at Brian "I'm insightful, I think I'm one of the most insightful person in the world" thing.
Laura's lack of self-awareness is quite astounding. Amanda is lovely, sometimes, but I still wouldn't want to be stuck in a house with her.
I really like Jonathan. And I think Carole chose pretty well for the task, but it could have been just such a Jonathan zing-fest.
― ailsa, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:40 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, if Jonathan had been picked for the task it would have been more zing-tastic than shooting Louis in a barrel.
― aldo, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:50 (eighteen years ago)
God though, I couldn't live in a house with anyone who talked to me the way they all talk to each other. They're all constantly telling one another to shut up or fuck off. I couldn't handle that kind of rudeness.
― accentmonkey, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:51 (eighteen years ago)
not keen on amanda, don't like it when people say things "are so funny" all the time. she seems kind of joyless to me, actually. yeah pot/kettle, whatever.
carole would have been better off choosing nicky for the pride task. she definately takes herself very seriously (although i like her).
ailsa OTM re laura.
― jed_, Monday, 2 July 2007 21:52 (eighteen years ago)
I don't know, I think it was good that Carole chose some people who were nothing like their sins, and who she could be sure wouldn't take offence. I'm not sure that was her reasoning though.

― NI, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 18:07 (eighteen years ago)
:)
it's cos there's no nikki graham this year. i just think this year's is a huge damp squib. when someone like Gerry becomes the favourite there's something up.
― jed_, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 18:13 (eighteen years ago)
it's generally something i really lookin forward to (sad, i know) and i just feel let down.
― jed_, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 18:14 (eighteen years ago)
Oh, look, they're painting Chanelle in a bad light to try to make it not a foregone conclusion that Laura will go.
― ailsa, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:25 (eighteen years ago)
WTF happened to charleys voice in the diary room today?! her accent seemed to totally change. her and chanelles nominations are easily the funniest.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:26 (eighteen years ago)
brian doing the bill theme was funny
nicky calling chanelle a bunny-boiler!
― RJG, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:29 (eighteen years ago)
his bit about geri and the monkey was good i thought.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:30 (eighteen years ago)
that's like someone who is much closer to being a bunny-boiler calling someone who is much further away from being a bunny-boiler a bunny-boiler
― RJG, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:31 (eighteen years ago)
geri?
I want Jonathan to come back, I love him :-(
― ailsa, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:35 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, poor Jonathan. They should give him a free pass into next year's.
― accentmonkey, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:44 (eighteen years ago)
Oh god, I am so sad for him.
― accentmonkey, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:45 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle has been edited really badly tonight, they must really want her to lose.
Jonathan should be invited back in a few weeks and able to win (although he loses in the very final to Brian, obv).
― aldo, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:54 (eighteen years ago)
OK, Charley namedropping FUCK OFF ALREADY NO-ONE BELIEVES YOU CARES
― ailsa, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:55 (eighteen years ago)
How many times does she get to say 'fuck' before it's decided that she has failed?
― accentmonkey, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:56 (eighteen years ago)
(also, yeah, telling Gerry that celebrities are people not like you, they're people who don't have a job etc, um, aye, Mrs "my cousin plays for Man Utd and bought me a car and made me bestest friends with Kanye West", you're a fucking spokesperson for the non-celebs and the person I want to be disparaging about teh cult of celebrity, also, LOL at ANYONE on Big Brother criticising people for being famous for fuck all)
― ailsa, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:57 (eighteen years ago)
Wow, the blokes are all dicks.
― accentmonkey, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)
don't like jonathan
― RJG, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)
Well, you don't have to worry about him anymore.
― accentmonkey, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:06 (eighteen years ago)
loved the continuation of the relationship cliché. bloke gets drunk, woman screams, he giggles with mates @ woman.
― Gukbe, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:08 (eighteen years ago)
Money piling in against Chanelle.
There was interesting speculation that Endemol wouldn't discount Jonathan's votes if they mattered. I know the two up for eviction got 5, what did Charley get out of interest? I don't think they announced it.
― aldo, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:10 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, I loved the whole "Are you smoking Zac?" sub-context.
I liked Jonathan, thought he could have gone a long way in there. When one of the girls said his grandmother had a good life, he replied "no she had a shit life, it was just a long one". Good work.
I'm not sure Nicky knew quite what to do when Jonathan broke down in the bathroom. The "am I going to have to hug this disgusting creature?" look on her face was hilarious.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)
If you exclude the all-girl house at the beginning, and maybe Charley, this is actually closer to old-school Big Brother than any time since 2003.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 22:19 (eighteen years ago)
Laura will go, but Chanelle should. It's going to be really interesting to see how Chanelle reacts...she's really hanging on by a very thin thread, isn't she.
― musically, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)
I reckon Chanelle will probably go.
In one way, it's the most dull eviction yet. But, now the housemates know, will Chanelle go off the deep end?
Jonathan's reasoning was spot on. Carole seemed to vote purely on the basis of "Ziggy's g/f, hogging Zig too much"
Oh, and is his real name Zach? Chanelle seems to call him this all the time.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 08:34 (eighteen years ago)
The Daily Star, this morning:
Jonathan: "Why I really left Big Brother" p6/7
Apparently, it's because his grandma died.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 08:44 (eighteen years ago)
What, you mean the reason they showed on the show?
― aldo, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 08:47 (eighteen years ago)
save wangers
― g-kit, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 08:49 (eighteen years ago)
aldo, charely only got 2 nominations.
― jed_, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 09:08 (eighteen years ago)
Funny how this week's task had her having to control her temper.
People actually like her under those restrictions. Which is fair enough.
The 'I know famous people' business is enough to put me off her, the angry arguing I can take or leave.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 09:10 (eighteen years ago)
I think it's time to split Ziggy and Chanelle up, their nyeee nyeee nyeee bickering is really getting on my nerves. It's like living with a real bickery couple, and therefore not entertaining.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 09:16 (eighteen years ago)
I also hope that when Jonathan has been to his granny's funeral and is feeling a bit better, that he appears on BBLB.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 09:30 (eighteen years ago)
Charley-Zippy could get funny if they boot Chunnel. But WTF is wrong with you people? You realise Laura's evil, right?
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 10:16 (eighteen years ago)
i can't see past the wangers :(
― g-kit, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 10:24 (eighteen years ago)

Early statistic, but...
Chanelle Hayes 32% Laura Williams 68%
― Mark G, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 11:13 (eighteen years ago)
Is there a poll on who you'd like to see publicly flayed to death then pulled apart by horses?
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 11:14 (eighteen years ago)
noo they b takin my wangers awai
― g-kit, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 11:19 (eighteen years ago)
I kind of hate the fact that the polls and the DS spoilers have taken all the fun out of eviction speculation.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 11:40 (eighteen years ago)
"Charley, you are th eonly housemate who has failed." "I'm not being funny, right, but blahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablahbablah"
<loses will to live>
Chanelle much better edited than Laura tonight.
― aldo, Wednesday, 4 July 2007 21:10 (eighteen years ago)

Brian seems like the most likable...Liam's nice to look at but Brian is both sweet and amusing.
― musically, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:03 (eighteen years ago)
Worryingly, I seem to find myself liking Ziggy best out of all of them. I think Samanda will win.
― ailsa, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:06 (eighteen years ago)
don't like ziggy, most of the time
all his stuff w/ food and, when they were doing the shopping list, telling carole "chanelle has given her five pounds to myself", presumably because they both think she's going tomorrow, and he kept saying "to myself" and "fish fingers". disgusting. he is so faux polite and proper
― RJG, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:25 (eighteen years ago)
And tedious beyond all possible measure.
― Noodle Vague, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:42 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, they all are though. Best of a bad bunch and that.
― ailsa, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:43 (eighteen years ago)
I like Brian. Liam seems like a stand-up bloke, tho a bit boring. Twins are still aces, even more so as Sam seems to be getting fed up. I like Gerry, mostly, he is a bit up himself but in an un-self-aware and funnee way. I like Nicky too but she needs to be slipped some acid for her own good.
― Noodle Vague, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:51 (eighteen years ago)
liam is v v boring. nicky annoys me more and more
― RJG, Thursday, 5 July 2007 08:53 (eighteen years ago)
I've seen a couple of flashes of humour from Liam that suggest that if he had someone in there to raise his game, he could be quite a funny guy. But given that the others are basically humourless gits, why should he bother?
I think BB was better when people sent in videos of themselves instead of undergoing these open auditions. It seems from the (admittedly limited) footage I've seen of the team games and the tests and stuff that they favour a certain type of person who might be good value during a food fight, but doesn't really have much to say for themselves on the long sleepy days in between.
Of course, the shitty weather probably isn't helping any of their temperaments.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:22 (eighteen years ago)
Brian is my favourite, he's as dopey as Glyn from last year, humble, friendly and doesn't have any malice to him. Him for the win.
Don't mind Liam but I really hope he doesn't win. I can see it happening though, in a 'no one else deserves it so it might as well be him' way, as happened to Anthony the other year. Amusing to see him take on Charley in an argument last night only to have Charley run rings round him with her nonsensical 100mph LOUD babbling.
Same with Ziggy, don't dislike or like him but his constant 'must seem to be doing the right thing' (due to his boyband upbringing?) is starting to grate.
I like Chanelle a lot, again like Brian she has no nastiness to her but Ziggy is ruining her, stopping her having silly fun and making her come across all needy and naggy. It seems like Ziggy is pulling out all the stops to make her depend on him rather than vice versa (cf: when he dumped her last week and seemed all torn up about it while she didn't seem to care two hoots) and this past week he's starting to succeed in it. She needs to dump him asap - would be such great tv to have her carefree skipping around the house, while Ziggy festers in bed, devastated at being shown up on national TV. I like Chanelle a lot but I don't imagine she has a chance at winning unless Charley stays in a lot longer and Chanelle somehow trounces her in a big argument - this seems to be Chanelles main positive point, that she most closely reflects the public in their (rightful) hatred of Charley.
Gerry is tooth-achingly boring, so so desperate to come across as learned and well-read on tv but just seems like a dimwit all the same with his bad body language analysis.
Tracey is such dreadful tv, has she let any emotion slip out yet? Though I did lol lots at her singing 'take me dancing naked in the rain'.
Laura is a booming idiot, she adds very little to the house. I'm guessing it'll become a happier place once she's gone.
Cannot stand Nicky, so impossibly naggy and intense - even when talking to Big Brother she takes a 'why are you picking on me' stance, such a hateful bad-bossy person.
Jed, why are you so down on this year's BB? At the very start I thought the allgirl house was a bad gimmick but I started to love it. I'm enjoying this series as much as any now.
I can see how Charley's constant unpleasantness could ruin it but I've managed to almost tune her out - fascinated to see whether she will 'do a Grace', ie. repent for her sins and claim that going on BB has made her realise her flaws and address them. There's no way she has the humility or self-awareness to do this but if she doesn't she may well end up a public hate figure, and not one who people will eventually come round to, like Nasty Nick, etc. Very telling how she said last night "My mum will watch that and go 'That's our Charley, couldn't keep her mouth shut'." PROUD of herself for failing the task and invoking her mother to defend her. Some tabloid yesterday had a story about Charley falling from a bannister when she was 4 yrs old and knocking herself out, apparently she's been molly coddled since then by her mother and turned out how she is. A cautionary tale.. Has her mother appeared on BBLB yet? Really want to know what she's like.
― NI, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:37 (eighteen years ago)
I haven't seen anyone belonging to her on BBLB yet. In fact, BBLB is a real disappointment this year. It's no fun.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:39 (eighteen years ago)
How would you 'trounce' Charley in an arg?
She'd just carry on talking 100wps for another hour anyway!
― Mark G, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:40 (eighteen years ago)
NI spot on about Chanelle. I said much earlier in the series that I liked Chanelle a lot, and I did, but her relationship with Ziggy has sucked everything else out of her, bar her comedy diary room zings at Charley.
However, I'm not convinced that this is all Ziggy's doing. Chanelle is only 19, and I used to know a lot of fun, interesting and lovely people of around that age who stopped being fun, interesting and lovely people when they started being someone's girlfriend instead. I don't have a lot of time for such people, hence why Chanelle is down in my estimation right now, but an independent Chanelle could be a total winner.
― ailsa, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:45 (eighteen years ago)
Oh and Jonathan was great, if I had to choose to be a BB contestant over the entire run I'd choose him. Clever, without the showiness of Gerry, and genuinely liked by most of the house. He would no way have won the series but would have made a worthy 2nd or 3rd place.
Mark G, I know! There *must* be some way though. Maybe the producers are keeping her until that happens - the public gets their 'release' then Charley gets booted out, everyone's happy. There's something quite frightening about Charley, in how she's so 100% convinced that she is right and has never ever ever taken on board any advice or criticism. I've never met anyone like her and I hope not to. Her post-house career will be so fascinating to track - surely all the WAGS and low-level footballers won't welcome her back to their bosoms and shit clubs?
― NI, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:46 (eighteen years ago)
The thing I keep coming back to is, though, if she's so very appalling, why hasn't she been up for nomination yet? She obviously must have some charm that we're not getting.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:48 (eighteen years ago)
Well, she was the week of the big fudge re Billi talking about nominations.
― ailsa, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:49 (eighteen years ago)
surely all the WAGS and low-level footballers won't welcome her back to their bosoms and shit clubs?
― Colonel Poo, Thursday, 5 July 2007 09:51 (eighteen years ago)
But even then, it only took the removal of one nomination for her not to be up, and that's only one week. I don't get it.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 5 July 2007 10:38 (eighteen years ago)
I suspect people are keeping her in because they think she can't possibly win, improving their chances slightly.
Admittedly, this is attributing the activity of thought to the likes of Brian and Samanda, so this might be stretching credulity slightly.
― aldo, Thursday, 5 July 2007 10:41 (eighteen years ago)
My problem with Chanelle: whereas Ziggy does try to offer her support and understanding, I've seen no evidence of this working in a reverse direction. Prime example: Ziggy retreating to the shower, clearly stressed and upset; Chanelle not even attempting to find out what was wrong.
― mike t-diva, Thursday, 5 July 2007 11:29 (eighteen years ago)
Ziggy is just a lipless Habs boy.
― suzy, Thursday, 5 July 2007 11:40 (eighteen years ago)
Awa with both of them.
― Mark G, Thursday, 5 July 2007 11:43 (eighteen years ago)
Although, looking at the repeat of last night's programme, I have to say that I love the Room of Nicky.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 5 July 2007 13:05 (eighteen years ago)
I assume that people are attempting to keep Charley in because they know she will get on the block sooner or later, and if they can go up against her head to head they have a better chance of staying in the house.
― musically, Thursday, 5 July 2007 14:57 (eighteen years ago)
interesting article on Samanda here:

don't get the jonathan love at all - all that stuff abt 'finding himself' on big brother, gimme a fuggin break, so glad he's gone
also gerry might be a poseur and whatnot, but i'll take his pretensions over brian's almost psychotically aggressive dislike of 'art and museums', fuck a philistine
― Ward Fowler, Thursday, 5 July 2007 17:30 (eighteen years ago)
agree
― RJG, Thursday, 5 July 2007 17:38 (eighteen years ago)
I'd say it's more Gerry's condescending 'let me explain this to you little boy *drones on for an hour*' manner that bugs Brian more than a conscious anti-art stance but hey

On last night's show: Nothing happened.
― Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 08:33 (eighteen years ago)
Oh? Flatmate and myself were watching Hogfather (finally, v cheap looking sadly) and on an ad break saw Charley topless being body-painted. Surely that's something? We didn't stick around to find out why, it didn't seem worthwhile.
― kv_nol, Friday, 6 July 2007 08:41 (eighteen years ago)
Oh yeah. soz, forgot. John mcCririck was getting all excited..
― Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 08:47 (eighteen years ago)
But why was it even happening?
― kv_nol, Friday, 6 July 2007 08:52 (eighteen years ago)
They had been given some art materials for a task, and she thought it would be another way to get people to stare at her tits so she could complain about it fun.
Yeah, and yet, it's the first episode of this series that Mister M watched and liked. I think he still likes the fishbowl element of it.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 6 July 2007 08:54 (eighteen years ago)
and the boobs
O RLY?
― kv_nol, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:00 (eighteen years ago)
Oh yes, naturally the boobs. I was not discounting that aspect of the entertainment.
Unfortunately, as soon as she opened her mouth, any enjoyment he was getting from looking at her boobs vanished.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:33 (eighteen years ago)
I have only seen the bits of boobs poking out of the bits of string she wears, but fakies as oddly shaped and lumpy as hers could only act as car-crash entertainment, surely?
― aldo, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:41 (eighteen years ago)
i thought they were nice ones.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:30 (eighteen years ago)
They look a lot better when they're not constantly being hoiked around by her in order to show them off to their best advantage. Which is for about ten minutes a day.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:34 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle was all very "if people want me to go, then I'll go" calmness last night, no doubt looking forward to the media career starting the second she leaves the house.
What if people want her to go, and she doesn't?
― Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:43 (eighteen years ago)
I didn't like that but you are not good about it
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 12:12 (eighteen years ago)
OK, Chanelle making a complete tit of herself in the diary room, oh noes STOP IT.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 19:57 (eighteen years ago)
Oh, and out of the diary room too.
CHARLEY JUST FUCK OFF ALREADY.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:11 (eighteen years ago)
i didn't understand any of that. charley is awful, yes. i loathe gerry more though still.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)
i think i'm homophobic.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)
impossible
charley is amazingly systematic--don't think she even understands what it is she's doing but it is v effective
infuriating to see gerry etc get involved or play along, pretty much, w/ it but imagine it is v difficult to withstand
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)
Hugely edited in favour of Laura tonight, again.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:20 (eighteen years ago)

― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:23 (eighteen years ago)
he's being funny, jed!
Hang on, Laura and Nicky talk about nominations = they get a comedy task to do. Charley and Billi do it, Charley gets saved. Hmmmmmmmm.

(haha, no wonder Glasgow does not FAP, we are all too busy sitting in watching telly on a Friday night)
ziggy is not OK
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:50 (eighteen years ago)
ziggy is fine.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 20:52 (eighteen years ago)
Ziggy's harmless enough. They've both brought out the very worst in each other.
I can't believe that someone who basically acted much like I would in the same situation, especially since her pyjamas are possibly the nicest clothes she owns, can lose out in a public vote to someone who bickers with her fucking boyfriend constantly. I can't stand Chanelle.

Yeah, but Chanelle delivers TRUTH re Charley, so One Of Us. Possibly. Also, people be wanting to see shagging, innit.
(this last couple of days has shown some remarkable shifts in how the two of them have been edited, Chanelle has looked much more bunny-boilerish recently, and Laura has actually done stuff that didn't involve lounging around doing nothing)
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:00 (eighteen years ago)
yeah, bitching and being confident she wouldn't go and saying she wanted to go and that she was going and blah blah
KILL THE WANG SLOTH
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:02 (eighteen years ago)
I don't like Laura much either, tbh, but I thought we were on Chanelle v Ziggy.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:04 (eighteen years ago)
you thought we were on chanelle Vs. ziggy?
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:07 (eighteen years ago)
my wang sloth post should have been in brackets, I suppose
whatever, loser, you're a joke
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:08 (eighteen years ago)

― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:09 (eighteen years ago)
wannabe
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:10 (eighteen years ago)
Yes, in that it was about whether Ziggy or Chanelle should go to break them up and improve things. Laura, meh, who cares.
I also have had a few wines.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:12 (eighteen years ago)
laura deliberately got herself up for eviction
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:15 (eighteen years ago)
yeah, she would have cut up peoples clothes to get nominated if she could.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:20 (eighteen years ago)
Haha, got herself up, I see what you did there, very funny, hahaha.
Pauline the Australian seems quite stupid.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:23 (eighteen years ago)
Oh, right, it's a set up.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:24 (eighteen years ago)
WE HAVE WAITED SEVEN YEARS FOR THE MOLLLLLLLLLE
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:24 (eighteen years ago)
a mole after all these years.
xp!
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:25 (eighteen years ago)
uh, why not just get an actual australian?
Oh, I'm not watching. Is she really a mole?
― Noodle Vague, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:26 (eighteen years ago)
Is it Barry Humphries or something?
i wish
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:26 (eighteen years ago)
Fuck, this is like an even worse twist than the "give Liam £100k that no-one gave one fuck about"
OH HANG ON, FAKE EVICTION EVEN WORSE STILL, FUCK OFF CHANNEL FOUR I HATE YOU
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:27 (eighteen years ago)
hope ziggy and liam try it on w/ the mole
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:27 (eighteen years ago)
you have had a few wines
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:28 (eighteen years ago)
yes she's a mole - she was shown being prepared for eviction from the BB diary room in oz but actually SHE WAS IN THE BB STUDIO ALL THE TIME.
Xp
what was that about a fake eviction next week? i missed it.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:28 (eighteen years ago)
No, it's Steven Tyler.
― accentmonkey, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:29 (eighteen years ago)
Hope someone recognises her off all these Channel 4 programmes she's been on before.
Jed, apparently they are going to do a fake eviction on Sunday (?) where someone gets taken out, interviewed, then sent back in to face the housemates who have been watching them diss them all in their interview. Hilarity cannot fail to ensue.
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:31 (eighteen years ago)
Why has Charley got a big weight on her leg?
― accentmonkey, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:31 (eighteen years ago)
ziggys face when he heard channelle was staying... looked happy, then 'WTF', then kinda scheming.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:32 (eighteen years ago)
To balance the big chips on her shoulders?
― Noodle Vague, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:34 (eighteen years ago)
thanks ailsa - that sounds ...vaguely interesting.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:34 (eighteen years ago)
looking forward to fake eviction
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:34 (eighteen years ago)
gotta be ziggy interviewed saying he was never sure about chanelle and she really did get on his nerves and he's relieved to be out etc etc
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:36 (eighteen years ago)
then again, he's so awful and fake that everyone would be a good person and a lot of fun etc etc
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:37 (eighteen years ago)
i hope fake australian accent is more convincing than fake italian accent from a few years ago. that is still one of the worst moments of tv i have ever had the misfortune to witness.
― Gukbe, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:38 (eighteen years ago)
Just checking on Digital Spy, not Sunday, this is the thing for next week.
Also, it appears that Brian was quite the fan of Oz BB before he went in, so might be able to trip up Pauline/Tyler quite easily if he wasn't completely stupid (jury still out on that one)
― ailsa, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:38 (eighteen years ago)
yeah that was bad but because she was bad
crosspost
― RJG, Friday, 6 July 2007 21:39 (eighteen years ago)
Fake-Aussie used to be in aLLSTARS. Which failed turn of the century pop group will be next then?
― V, Friday, 6 July 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)
PLEEZ GOD LET IT BE VANILLA <fingers crossed>
― Noodle Vague, Friday, 6 July 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)
ziggy might know her then or brian might so WHY NOT JUST GET AN ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN?
has ALBA given up BB?
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 22:06 (eighteen years ago)
All actual Australians in the UK needed at work during busy summer drinking months, amirite?
― Noodle Vague, Friday, 6 July 2007 22:09 (eighteen years ago)
hahahaha omg the fake italian, i remember that.
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Friday, 6 July 2007 22:37 (eighteen years ago)
The fake australian!
She uttered one word, and I was like "WHAT KIND OF AUSSIE ACCENT IS THAT THEN? Is she originally english?"
I have witnesses.
― Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 23:20 (eighteen years ago)
So far:
Charley reckons she's seen her before Nicky is puzzled about how her 'eviction' was in the diary room, and Laura's was in the 'normal' way and Tracey's wondering why if she's so nice/cool/pretty, why her housemates have nominated her for eviction.
They are describing a sense, but not quite putting the pieces together yet. But, this was all in the first hour (live relay)
― Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 23:24 (eighteen years ago)
nicky is going to hate her. which would be entertaining if she wasn't bogus.
― jed_, Friday, 6 July 2007 23:32 (eighteen years ago)
If BB adds any new people, I hope they add one very attractive female; I think it would shake things up much more than adding another male.
-- musically, Monday, 18 June 2007 05:21 (2 weeks ago) Link
I love how the money twist was so shit that they didn't even bother revealing it to Laura. At least new twist has the potential to be interesting...as for fake eviction week, I'm sure it's another attempt to keep Charley in for as long as possible. Which I don't mind at all.
― musically, Saturday, 7 July 2007 04:51 (eighteen years ago)
However, the twist will be a real letdown if Charley is the one who's "evicted"...someone who's been less candid in the house would be better. Ziggy would be perfect.
― musically, Saturday, 7 July 2007 05:01 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, I'm thinking Ziggy or Carole (due to insightfulness in the deadly sins task, I'm sure Davina could coax some "honesty" out of her) would be best. Even Chanelle would be good value. Who else is likely to be up. Tracey? Can't see her even agreeing to go back in, but not giving one flying fuck if she is made to, even if she's called them all a bunch of cnuts.
Actually, how are they going to enforce ANYONE going back in? I mean, it's not for the money since they (presumably) all think there isn't any. So why the hell would you?
― ailsa, Saturday, 7 July 2007 08:33 (eighteen years ago)
I wondered that, A lot of them (including Laura last night) say in the interview about how different it felt once you step out the house, and how glad they are to be in the real world again.
Mind you, Grace said that last year, then did a complete 180 at the end of the interview when Davina asked if she wanted to go back in with 3 other people.
― V, Saturday, 7 July 2007 12:18 (eighteen years ago)
yes, those are called lies
― RJG, Saturday, 7 July 2007 12:37 (eighteen years ago)
You'd have thought they could have picked an actress who the HMs may very well have been watching last month on the telly - she's the Bunny Boiler character off Balls Of Steel.
― aldo, Saturday, 7 July 2007 13:19 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, I'm thinking Ziggy or Carole (due to insightfulness in the deadly sins task, I'm sure Davina could coax some "honesty" out of her) would be best. Even Chanelle would be good value. Who else is likely to be up. Tracey? Can't see her even agreeing to go back in, but not giving one flying fuck if she is made to,
Carole's been fairly honest with people as well though. Everyone is right. Ziggy would be best. Unless it's Liam and he talks about how he wishes Nicky would just leave him the hell alone. Although that wouldn't be fun, really, just embarrassing for her.
Surely once they come out, Davina will just tell them that the money is still up for grabs and put them back in? (And tell them not to tell anyone, natch).
Obviously the person who is devising the ZOMG TWISTS is not the person devising the tasks, because the tasks have been great and imaginative, and the twists are shit.
― accentmonkey, Saturday, 7 July 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)
<i>You'd have thought they could have picked an actress who the HMs may very well have been watching last month on the telly - she's the Bunny Boiler character off Balls Of Steel.</i>
I think the element of "will they/won't they figure it out" is part of the week...there's some sort of reward for them if they do figure it out IIRC (according to channel 4's site).
― musically, Sunday, 8 July 2007 02:08 (eighteen years ago)
What about if they turn feral and eat her?
― Noodle Vague, Sunday, 8 July 2007 02:14 (eighteen years ago)
wait wait WAIT. so there's a new housemate who's pretending to be from Australian BB but is in fact a bit-part comedy actress who's been in various c4 shows and whom the housemates may well recognise from same?
(sorry, in france and have had no bb for a week!)
― CharlieNo4, Sunday, 8 July 2007 10:30 (eighteen years ago)
I bet ziggy always says "whom" instead of "who"
― RJG, Sunday, 8 July 2007 10:36 (eighteen years ago)
i got that one right though!
― CharlieNo4, Sunday, 8 July 2007 10:43 (eighteen years ago)
I don't think so
― RJG, Sunday, 8 July 2007 10:47 (eighteen years ago)
she is the subject of the sentence, so it's who.
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Sunday, 8 July 2007 10:51 (eighteen years ago)
And if they guess they get a luxury shopping budget. Also, she's not sleeping with them, BB will tell them that she has her own bedroom. Which is unfortunately, because I was hoping she'd try for a long term Bunny Boiler act with Ziggy.
― musically, Sunday, 8 July 2007 19:16 (eighteen years ago)
They will guess. Having a fairly-famous not-Australian isn't really going to tax them for too long.

- i think they'll make her walk here - if she walked from australia it would take about 6 months - really? is that how long it would take?
― jed_, Sunday, 8 July 2007 20:51 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle in the diary room is great TV, like the kind of viewing I think Nikki Grahame thought she was. I kind of like her, but she's really shit at this Ziggy thing.
― ailsa, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:01 (eighteen years ago)
i like her too. shes just become a bit too involved with ziggy, and the fact she thinks hes the only one in there she can trust isnt going to help her much.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)
Nikki Grahame was some kind of genius. chanelle is boring and pathetic.
― jed_, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:05 (eighteen years ago)
its weird how they all think nikki is a bit nasty. i havent noticed that.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:09 (eighteen years ago)
you mean nicky. yeah it's wierd. i would disagree with them on the whole were it not for the fact that liam had picked up on it - and i reckon liam's probably the most perceptive of the housemates.
― jed_, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:11 (eighteen years ago)
i mean weird.
― jed_, Sunday, 8 July 2007 21:15 (eighteen years ago)
it is really funny when brian does his american accent
― RJG, Sunday, 8 July 2007 22:15 (eighteen years ago)
That's his "impression" voice. Impression of Gerry - American accent. Impression of Channelle - American Accent.

Liam gets some points for knowing about Duck-Billed Platypus eggs, also for recognising fish-eggs on sight. Lost one for not knowing that roe is the same thing.

http://vote.sparklit.com/poll.spark/1046990 Who do you want out next? The 'fake' 5th Evictee will go, be interviewed, the group sees the interview and the evictee returns
Amanda 2% Brian 1% Carole 2% Chanelle 10% Charley 45% Gerry 2% Liam 2% Nicky 12% Sam 1% Tracey 3% Ziggy 21%
NO! Not Charley you dumb british viewing public!
She'll just say what she's always said, a long list of who she don't like, and then back in to more of the same!
It has to be Ziggy. Dunnit?
― Mark G, Monday, 9 July 2007 08:50 (eighteen years ago)
if the fake evictee gets to see the nominations and any other footage w/ people talking about her then charley will be galvanised in her already overworking outrage and fly back in there feeling vindicated and ready to killllllll but that would be v boring. wonder if the fake evictee will have much/any contact w/ the public
the only good things liam has ever done: describing what he was wearing on the telephone during his lust task and laughing/retching when trying to eat the fake australian food
and, yeah, brian's american accent is his impression accent. it's really funny
― RJG, Monday, 9 July 2007 08:57 (eighteen years ago)
Yes on the "psychiatrists" show last night they were more interested in Charley seeing what her housemates thought of her than in them learning anything new about Charley. I would still rather see slimebag Zippy let the mask drop tho.

― RJG, Monday, 9 July 2007 23:39 (eighteen years ago)
ziggy is a shit, but chanelle is losing points by constantly going on with the whole charley jealousy thing. there are loads of other problems with ziggy that she should be arguing about.
― Gukbe, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 01:26 (eighteen years ago)
Not least his face.
― Eyeball Kicks, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 01:30 (eighteen years ago)
For the first time, Chanelle has been more sympathetic than annoying to me. Ziggy is really jerking her around. But I think both of them would be much more tolerable if they were with more compatible people...they are a terrible fit and it shows.
I don't think Nicky is any more two-faced or nasty than anyone else in the house either. With the exception of the twins, everyone in the house spends 90% of their time talking about others. And who can blame them, really? And if you want to talk two-faced, check out Carole nominating Chanelle, and then talking to Ziggy about how how all the girls are against Chanelle, and then comforting Chanelle when she wanted to walk.
― musically, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 05:24 (eighteen years ago)
Charley is all over Pauline, Pauline is convinced she's 'fooled' Charley.
Charley is totally suspicious of her. But rather than being confrontational, is instead being over-friendly and watching for other signs.
Which is actually quite subtle of her.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 07:38 (eighteen years ago)
Apparently, Pauline (what's her real name? Tibshelf?) is having problems doing the Aus accent, keeping it up...
Hmm, who else could have gone in and done a good Australian accent, and might have at least given them a chance of working out she's not really from Aus?
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 09:08 (eighteen years ago)
this is "fake week", Mark G

― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:08 (eighteen years ago)
xpost oh yeah, it's pronouced "Tyler" right?
As in Tyler Duerdin.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:09 (eighteen years ago)
no Thaila (thy-la) I think.
Her sketches on Balls of Steel on Friday nights were one of the few funny things she's ever done.
Is it not possible someone in the house has seen her on this?
― Ronan, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:11 (eighteen years ago)
it's been 'thai-ler' (thai as in thailand) when dermot and davina have been talking to her.
― koogs, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:48 (eighteen years ago)
how are you pronouncing that 'ler'? w/ an R?
― RJG, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:51 (eighteen years ago)
I think it's "thigh-lur" except the "thigh" is a little more like "thai" if with a slightly more closed mouthed pronunciation.
― Ronan, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 13:21 (eighteen years ago)
as in "umbreller"

Last Night's Top Line: (sorry for being so slow, but hey it's that kind of day)
Brian: "she's psychic! She can tell, just by looking at her half left hammburger, that Charley likes to get her tits out!!"
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:35 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, that was great. As was Charley's "Is she pretty and trendy?" then going round telling everybody that was what she'd said, even though it wasn't. And "if they ask you if you want anyone else to come into the room with you, you'll say Charley, won't you? You'll remember my name, Charley, and tell them you want me to share with you."
― aldo, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:47 (eighteen years ago)
yeah, but as I say just upthread: Charley is totally suspicious of her. But rather than being confrontational, is instead being over-friendly and watching for other signs.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)
DEVELOPMENT!
"'Pauline' is not from Australia," Big Brother told him.
"Shut up!" said Brian.
"She is actually an actress employed by Big Brother to work undercover."
"Noooooo. You've ruined it for me," moaned Brian. "I really want to believe it. And everyone's going, 'no she's from Hackney'. And I really believed it. You've got to be joking. You can't be lying to us about stuff like that."
"She's never even been to Australia. 'Pauline's' a fake," Big Brother confirmed.
"She was calling me a spunk and everything," he whinged. "I really liked her. She was like my birthday present from Australia. You've ruined it now!"
"If you keep it a secret you'll win a birthday party," revealed Big Brother. At this, Brian perked up.
"Loads of cider?" he asked.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 16:12 (eighteen years ago)
So did Brian guess that she was fake? Is that why BB confirmed it?

um don't know if she thinks that or if she ever really really thought that but when liam threw himself and his bad bum on top of the pauline during the australian soap bit and was kissing her there were shots of nicky sideways glancing at other housemates or to see if other housemates were looking at her
― RJG, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 21:47 (eighteen years ago)
"you're not going to die of dehydration. you know there are african children who are dying of dehydration." "i'm half african, so i'm gonna die like them."
― Gukbe, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 04:55 (eighteen years ago)
Nicky isn't totally delusional...she knows Liam isn't interested.
I think the public will vote to fake-evict Charley. Definitely won't be as interesting as if it were Nicky, but I think the reaction of the housemates (read: Chanelle) when she walks back in will at least make up for it.
― musically, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 06:21 (eighteen years ago)
Loving Charley's logic as to why she couldn't have been a real HM - "she was just too pretty to be Australian."
― aldo, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 06:59 (eighteen years ago)
Put it this way...
1) Will people even bother to vote?
2) If Nicky goes out, she'll have her interview, and when it comes for her to GO BACK IN!!!! she will say NOOO! I WILL NOT GO BACK IN!!!!
I'd put money on that happening. Naturally, if Charley went out, she'd have no problem going back in.
However, last time a housemate 'went out' and went back in, there was a big punch-up! (Michelle and (forgot) in the second house)
― Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 07:37 (eighteen years ago)
The one you're forgetting is Emma The Comedy Racist.

(surely last person to go out and back in again was screaming princess nicky, last series.)
― koogs, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 08:39 (eighteen years ago)
(true, also Mr Tickle etc)
― Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 08:41 (eighteen years ago)
(but I was meaning "not actually evicted really" as opposed to "going back in to mess w/minds but not actually in the game anymore")
― Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 08:42 (eighteen years ago)
Maybe they'll tell her the money is back on the table again, and find some way of keeping her quiet about it.
If I came out of the house, I don't think I'd go back in either.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:32 (eighteen years ago)
"Oh this is hard, look I'm cock-handed!" said Brian.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:52 (eighteen years ago)
Now, this one I like!....
It's fake mayhem today as Big Brother pulls leg after leg in the House. Just after lunch Big Bro called the housemates into the garden, under the pretence that essential maintenance needed to be completed in the House.
But, you've guessed it, there was nothing of the sort. A bit later an aeroplane started to circle the House, trailing a banner reading "THERE IS ANOTHER HOUSE". Housemates saw the banner before Big Brother urgently ordered ALL housemates into the caravan.
"Oh. My GOD!!" screamed the twins and Chanelle, shielding their eyes to look up. Amanda jumped up and down, while potential evictees Nicky and Charley hugged each other.
Gerry wasn't convinced. "That's why we're in the garden," he said. Charley didn't believe him though: "Big Brother didn't set that up. That's someone flying past we didn't know."
But when a Big Brother voice told them all to get in the caravan, housemates began jumping up and down excitedly.
"I knew it," said Brian.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 14:22 (eighteen years ago)
Gerry looked like Harrison Ford during the Housemates! task.
― DavidM, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)
I caught about five minutes of the live feed earlier where BB announced that three housemates had broken the rules very seriously at 1am, that they knew who they were, and that the three responsible must report to the diary room immediately. They were all completely baffled and desperately trying to figure out who was to blame for whatever the breach was. It was quite funny.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 16:04 (eighteen years ago)
brian very funny tonight
: )

I've got a lot of time for housemates who start talking to BB in random mirrors.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 20:45 (eighteen years ago)

― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 20:50 (eighteen years ago)
uh, how can they pass the shopping task by brian doing the one thing he wasn't supposed to do?
charley was fantastic in that task though. "excuse me, how can gerry be at number four? fuck me..."
she is superb.
― jed_, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 20:51 (eighteen years ago)
it was actually "excuse me, how can gerry be at number four? fuck me for a liviing"
― jed_, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 20:55 (eighteen years ago)
He didn't actually say he knew anything for a fact, he just said that they had no way of knowing if she was fake or not because they didn't know her. Also, he kind of took one for the team there, which was good of him.
― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 21:07 (eighteen years ago)
ok, fuck me for a living.
― jed_, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 21:08 (eighteen years ago)

― accentmonkey, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 21:14 (eighteen years ago)
i dunno, i've never heard anyone say it before!
― jed_, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 21:19 (eighteen years ago)
That whole episode = comedy gold. Although I actually felt kind of sorry for Brian seeing as he was clearly completely in love with Fake Australian Housemate Pauline.
The other thing was, they could still easily have failed the task - you could tell Brian was weighing up whether or not he'd fuck up by picking Pauline as the most fake.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 21:37 (eighteen years ago)
brian seems actually quite open-minded, unusually, for someone who is quite philistinic and v. quite funny and charming, tho both only in instances between his bouts of talking and behaing like a child
open-minded esp. when compared to nicky, who I initially liked but have closed right down to now in a similar manner to how she's closed
charley is v. big brother clever, if digital spy headlines are anything to go by, and also v.infuriating a lot of the time, if the actual show is anything to go by; also v. funny at times, and awe inspiring when she talks extremely fast

True, but *that* fuckup would mean he lost the birthday party, not the luxury shopping budget. Although he had no way of knowing this was the LSTask, he presumably guessed it was more important they passed this one.
― Mark G, Thursday, 12 July 2007 08:07 (eighteen years ago)
I got the feeling it was more that he just didn't want her to get away with it. I can't get over how outraged Charley was by the whole thing. Twenty minutes after the woman left, Charley was still shouting about her.
I think if I was in the BB house this year, I'd be doing a lot of quietly slipping away to the diary room or the bathroom, hoping not to be noticed by Charley.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 12 July 2007 08:41 (eighteen years ago)
fuck me for a living.
Was last night's awesome statement.
― Mark G, Thursday, 12 July 2007 09:09 (eighteen years ago)
what is sparklit saying? i'm pretty sure if nicky wins/loses this eviction she'll just flat-out refuse to go back in.
― jed_, Thursday, 12 July 2007 10:53 (eighteen years ago)
give us a sparklit link but dont past the results - i don't think accentmonkey likes to see them.

― Mark G, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:02 (eighteen years ago)
actually that won't work anyway because we'll still be talking about the poll results.
i think that's for the best, dont you? nicky will just crumble if she goes back in and finds out they've been watching. she'll be back in the diary room asking to get out within the hour.
― jed_, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:05 (eighteen years ago)
Oh no, I don't care. I just think they've taken a lot of the fun out of the Friday night show because they are never wrong, is all. Besides, I won't be watching for the next couple of weeks.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:06 (eighteen years ago)
if twere only ziggy for he would do anything for ye money
― RJG, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:06 (eighteen years ago)
Kicking Charley out only to put her back in is just a bit daft, though. It seems to me that her boiling rage and desire for revenge is only going to cause everyone else to leave, and then she will have to kick her ugg boots around an empty house, squealing at nothing.
Ziggy would absolutely have been best.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:08 (eighteen years ago)
Actually Chanelle would've been best but still...
― Matt DC, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:30 (eighteen years ago)
Nah, Zippy has more of a mask to let slip.
I'd say if they do this with Charley it might be bordering on irresponsible, presumably there will be burly security peeps on standby for a replay of Emma the Loveable Racist-style aggro.
― Noodle Vague, Thursday, 12 July 2007 11:38 (eighteen years ago)
One of the insiders who posts on DS says the fake evictee will be immune next week, so is encouraging people to vote for Nicky.
― aldo, Thursday, 12 July 2007 12:34 (eighteen years ago)
Well, if Charley gets immunity, the Daily Star will have a field day!
Actually, check tomorrows front page, I reckons!
― Mark G, Thursday, 12 July 2007 13:19 (eighteen years ago)
Is anybody actually voting? Why would you waste your money?
― Tom D., Thursday, 12 July 2007 13:22 (eighteen years ago)
exactly. Unless they vote for nicky so's Charley gets nominated properly next week!
Meantime, in Daily Starland..
Thaila refused to flirt with Charley? Day 44, 10:46 BST
By Daniel Kilkelly
Thaila Zucchi refused to flirt with Charley after being instructed to do so by Big Brother, according to a report today.
Producers hoped for Thaila to play a trick on the London It Girl after overhearing her say: "I'm going to tell her she can sleep with me", when she first saw the fake Australian housemate on the plasma screen.
However, Zucchi vetoed the idea because she was concerned about how the hot-tempered housemate might react.
A source told the Daily Star: "Thaila was supposed to come on to Charley in a big, big way. She was to make it clear that she fancied Charley and was definitely up for some girl-on-girl action. Thaila didn't think it would work and she was worried about Charley's reaction. Charley can fly off the handle without a moment's notice."
However, a spokesperson for the show insisted: "Actress Thaila was employed as a 'fake' housemate and undertook a number of secret missions to trick the housemates. However, attempting to flirt or seduce Charley was certainly not one of them."
― Mark G, Thursday, 12 July 2007 13:23 (eighteen years ago)
Thaila? Her name's a misprint, goldarnit!
― Tom D., Thursday, 12 July 2007 13:25 (eighteen years ago)

jesus christ - who said that?
― jed_, Thursday, 12 July 2007 19:24 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle. The twins and Brian agreed with her. On the plus side, Chanelle did say that everyone else in her class laughed at her, so it's not all grim about Ver Yoof.

BCLC, as well as being kids TV stalwarts, were also longtime performers on the student stand-up comedy tour scene. They were as loltastic as you'd imagine.

Amazing how "taking off yr glasses" can make you look completely different.

― Mark G, Friday, 13 July 2007 08:33 (eighteen years ago)
My favourite bit from the latest Grace Dent:
Brian's birthday present was "the gift of knowledge" about Pauline. Initially, this came as a disappointment to Brian as he wanted "cider". Brian and his cider is a bit like Les from Vic Reeves Big Night Out and his spirit level. Just the mention of cider to Brian and his face lights up into an otherworldly grin and he rocks backwards and forwards involuntarily.
― aldo, Friday, 13 July 2007 09:50 (eighteen years ago)
that's weird, i really like her soapsuds thing but that column is crap - v unfunny and some of the observations are just completely off, like: "Liam's ego has been slightly out of control since he was shoved in among the desperate Big Brother women." - i wouldn't say so at all.
― jed_, Friday, 13 July 2007 10:09 (eighteen years ago)
The sparklit poll shows it's all very close.
― Mark G, Friday, 13 July 2007 11:16 (eighteen years ago)

But bosses are reviewing decisions every day to keep the show fresh.
― Mark G, Friday, 13 July 2007 11:18 (eighteen years ago)
That totally smacks of "we'll wait and see the answer before we decide".
I have decided I want Charley to stay in, because she is comedy gold.

The walk back into the house made me feel kind of ill though. I know she sort of deserves it, but still

cruel to who?
― RJG, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:18 (eighteen years ago)
Liam maybe, and whichever of the twins it was - the shock on Charley's face when she saw they nominated her was very amusing. I'd actually quite like to see her try and take down one of the twins.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:27 (eighteen years ago)
Next week's twist = only Charley can nominate, surely?
shes not gonna take down anyone i dont think just cos they made her Think About Her Actions, w/r/t being angry and all that. i would have liked to see her go back in there and be like 'ALLL RIGHT YOU CUNTS' like someone said above but maybe shes gonna try and be nicer now. hopefully not too nice though, and anyway, i cant imagine her sanitising herself too much.
id like her to win, actually.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:58 (eighteen years ago)
I would love to see a transcript of her interview
actually, I would love to see big brother give her a transcript of her interview as a laminate to read to the house and see her try to make sense of it
― RJG, Saturday, 14 July 2007 13:07 (eighteen years ago)
if it had been a "normal" interview they would have got more out of her. she was perplexed.

― Matt DC, Sunday, 15 July 2007 21:28 (eighteen years ago)
Perhaps they thought that diarising their sexual encounter might give Big Brother time to get the cameras into the right position?

Srsly jed, what has she got?
― Noodle Vague, Monday, 16 July 2007 06:50 (eighteen years ago)
She's feeding them a lot of bull about how everyone is cheering her, that the voting week was fake and that they chose her, specifically, for this task, etc etc...
Basically, they'll all nom her this week, and she'll be voted out on Friday.
Not even Big Brother are going to manage to keep her in another week, surely?
― Mark G, Monday, 16 July 2007 08:20 (eighteen years ago)
I think Charley seems to be consciously getting allies on side now because some of them think she's more popular than she actually is. She might actually escape nomination in favour of Nicky vs Gerry or something equally dull.
If he gets enough nominations, this might be Ziggy's week to go.
― Matt DC, Monday, 16 July 2007 09:33 (eighteen years ago)
Who is favourite to win right now, incidentally? It's got to be Brian vs Liam surely?
― Matt DC, Monday, 16 July 2007 09:34 (eighteen years ago)
A lot of them heard all the "Get Charley Out" shouting in the back garden, so are suspicious she made up all the stuff about fans.
I was talking about that with the missus last night - there really isn't a winner yet is there? We could only come up with Brian as being slightly more popular than "well he/she is ok I suppose".
― Colonel Poo, Monday, 16 July 2007 09:38 (eighteen years ago)
Quick Odds update: Brian evens Liam 4 Amanda 9 Gerry 16 Chanelle 20 Sam 20 Any Other 20 Carole 22 Charley 40 Ziggy 50 Tracey 66
'nice' to see Tracey is now not the second favourite. Bookies were MAD for a bit there.

Also why are the odds for Sam so much shorter than for Amanda?
― Matt DC, Monday, 16 July 2007 10:07 (eighteen years ago)
The odds for Sam are longer. It's because she's the grumpy, depressive one.
― Noodle Vague, Monday, 16 July 2007 12:24 (eighteen years ago)
gerry and nicky
― RJG, Monday, 16 July 2007 19:35 (eighteen years ago)
good that chanelle, gerry and liam weren't too scared to nom charley
bad that sam was and ziggy's just a fucking moron. what was that w/ nicky? basically "I am nominating you". he should have just been banned or punished in a way that made him v unhappy
― RJG, Monday, 16 July 2007 21:49 (eighteen years ago)
Right, so if Nicky goes, that means Charley is certain to get nominated next week.
If Gerry goes, that's one nomination less for Charley next week.
Not that I'm fixated or owt.
― Mark G, Monday, 16 July 2007 23:40 (eighteen years ago)
Agree with RJG re Zippy's nomination discussion with Nicky, also why was Chanelle not further punished for telling Zippy about her punishment and what was going to happen to him in the diary room?
― ailsa, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 07:01 (eighteen years ago)
(also, naked nominations, they should totally drop the teddy bears next time and watch Channel 4 try to cobble together some footage from that)
― ailsa, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 07:02 (eighteen years ago)
lol "cobble"

oo.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 11:35 (eighteen years ago)
i like both gerry and nicky. i haven't been watching that much, though.
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 11:38 (eighteen years ago)
They're both terrible. At least Gerry's unbelievably pomposity brings its comic moments, Nicky's non-stop whingeing got boring weeks ago. But yeah, I can't see how this can't be Nicky by a landslide.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 11:39 (eighteen years ago)
nicky always looks worried and concerned. i can see how that would grate after awhile. she always seems to give sensible advice, though.
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 11:44 (eighteen years ago)
I'm not watching this till Charley is out
― Tom D., Tuesday, 17 July 2007 11:49 (eighteen years ago)
nicky is bad. she does always seem to be talking about other people to people and then talking about those people to the other people. liam's nom when he said he overhears an argument then she comes and tells him her "side" of it which bears no resemblance to what he's overheard. she talks or has talked too much about being fun without managing to be it more than once. when she was saying "I AM fun", to begin w/ (and resorting to complaining about food and cooking), I kind of thought "maybe she IS being stifled by the 'bigger' characters" and felt a bit but now I don't think it or feel it
gerry is my favourite. he is a bit of a fanny, at times, but not enough. brian is funny and even intentionally funny, at times, but I don't actually like him
carole has been better, since last week. I like her a lot, when she's laughing/having fun. she does give into the temptation to lecture or complain about some things, when she should resist
annoying that the twins were having fun w/ chucking water w/ carole and tracy etc and laughing w/ carole when they nom her every week. sam reverting to type by being to scared to nom charley was v disappointing. funny that they didn't even show her full nominations on the show, as if to say "you saw amanda yeah"
if ziggy had been banned from nominating entirely...who would be up? gerry would have had four, nicky and charley and ziggy would have had three? that would have been a lot better
― RJG, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 12:32 (eighteen years ago)
brian to win. his diary room confessions are easily better than everyone elses. im sort of warming to ziggy now for some reason, even though hes a complete coward with the way he cant seem to decide what he wants to do with chanelle.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 12:43 (eighteen years ago)
I think he wants herself to himself, myself.
― onimo, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 12:55 (eighteen years ago)
gerry has gone slightly up in my estimations, at least he has the courage to stand up to charley and nicky even though i think he's usually misguided. my problem with gerry is that while he's intelligent he's still not intelligent enough to not be a gay stereotype and i don't like that. i don't like charley and nicky very much but i find them interesting to watch - charley is completely unhinged and also pretty funny at times, intentioonally or otherwise. i used to like gerry least but brian is my least favourite now, i find him repulsive. the ones i actually like are carole and liam. liam is more intelligent and perceptive than gerry but doesn't bang on about it.
― jed_, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:01 (eighteen years ago)
while he's intelligent he's still not intelligent enough to not be a gay stereotype and i don't like that
I think gerry doesn't like it either. he said something approaching that himself after he saw himself nominating charley
― RJG, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)
liam hardly gets any camera time.
― titchyschneiderMk2, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)
liam asking what was offensive and talking about PC world was awful. he keeps saying new and funny jokes like "I'm basically a lesbian trapped in a man's body" and stumbling over himself to compare brian's penis to "a baby's arm holding...an apple", for pauline's benefit. all this plus his cool tattoo and bad bum
― RJG, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:12 (eighteen years ago)
i think that gerry didn't llike the sound of his voice on camera and maybe some of his own mannerisms but that's not really what i'm getting at re. the gay stereotype thing. everyone think they are bad on camera anyway, witness chanelle's whinging about the sound of her voice (the first time she's ever been funny) and ziggy going "oh my god, what do i look like?!" when he saw himself on screen.
― jed_, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:19 (eighteen years ago)
Ziggy looks like James Fox
― Tom D., Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:21 (eighteen years ago)

― Tom D., Tuesday, 17 July 2007 14:23 (eighteen years ago)
chanelle: "i wonder who the five guests are? that's exciting. i hope it's not the spice girls, if it's the spice girls i will be so jealous"
wft? this girl is a total dick.
― jed_, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 20:10 (eighteen years ago)
oh god lol.

...@ clown/it girl argument. an it-girl that smokes fag-ends out of a bucket.
― jed_, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)
I've just watched Friday's eviction episodes. Partly suspicious of a lot of it (Carole sussing fake eviction, Liam giving an alarmingly prescient "I'd love to see you hear what I say about you in the diary room"), mostly roffling at Charley's ENORMOUS levels of delusion re the whole "they like me, they really really like me" type thing.
― ailsa, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 20:18 (eighteen years ago)
really weird episode. they're all losing it.
― jed_, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 21:13 (eighteen years ago)
The temptation to cover myself head to toe in shaving foam then jump in the pool and lie there flicking Vs at Carole would've been too much for me.
― Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 17 July 2007 21:20 (eighteen years ago)
the music stops, the party stops, everyone shouts "hip hip hooray!!"
and charley keep pegging people with plastic balls until she realises she probably ought to stop.
rjg those accounts of liam are truly dispiriting.
is it par for the course for ziggy to sort of lift chanelle around with his brawny arm and plant a giant kiss on her whenever he wants despite the fact that he broke it off with her? maybe that get-up was simply too much for the zigster. i'd say he's practically a het stereotype.
― Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 00:16 (eighteen years ago)
q!!! does anyone ever talk about television?? or bands? movies??
― Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 00:21 (eighteen years ago)
I'm sure they do, it's not going to be interesting tho.
― Mark G, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 08:16 (eighteen years ago)
Probably cut for whatever reason. But BB contestants are like politicians, most of them don't have much interest in anything beyond themselves.
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 08:18 (eighteen years ago)
brian talks about hollyoaks, the bill, eastenders, neighbours and has mentioned 100 other progs
brian, liam, sam, amanda, chanelle and charley occasionally sit and sing R&B songs I have never ever heard of (except once they sang that dilemmma by nelly feat kelly rowland)
can't think of anyone talking about movies but if the above is talking about telly and music then they probably have
― RJG, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 08:24 (eighteen years ago)
I forgot Brian talking about Babe. Okay maybe these are just the forgettable bits that I don't listen to whilst waiting for Zippy to call women "girls" and Chunnel to go crazy apeshit mental again.
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 08:28 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle said it was great to watch Charley's "eviction" because she feels as if she's missed Big Brother this year.
― onimo, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 09:47 (eighteen years ago)
PUBLIC EXECUTION FOR CHARLEY NOW
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 20:49 (eighteen years ago)
Aye she's fucking vile. Poor The Brian.
I though Tracey was supposed to dress up for the task? Those were the clothes she came in wearing, surely?
― aldo, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 20:52 (eighteen years ago)
BRIAN FOR TEH WIN. Seriously, as OTM as Chanelle is in her diary-room rants against Charley, at least Brian has the nerve to stand up to her (even if he does shake like a shakey thing straight after)
Noodle OTM, as if it needed saying. That repentance bollocks she was on about on Friday lasted, I see.
― ailsa, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 20:57 (eighteen years ago)
Charley and Tracey as clowns was inspired BB evilness. The only time I've ever laughed at clowns was when those two were sat in the smokers' corner in full make-up with their permagobs on.
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)
But she's rewritten the repentance in her head to be "as long as I don't raise my voice I can say whatever spiteful/cruel/batshit bullshit I like and I won't be arguing". Inability to accept criticism on her level is pathological.
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:05 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, her levels of self-delusion are something else, aren't they?
― ailsa, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:08 (eighteen years ago)
I'm not being funny, right, but I don't think you should be allowed to say that about her. That just how unpopular and untrendy you are, and her friend R Kelly will beat you up or something.
Apparently, in a scene not shown she was talking about the wrap party and pointing her fingers like a gun at the other HMs.
On BBBM just now: "Yeah, but her time outside the house at the fake eviction must have been brilliant, what with Stevie Wonder singing 'You Are The World' to her and that."
― aldo, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:19 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, I shouldn't even have an opinion on her because I don't, like, know her and I'm not even there and that.
― ailsa, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:21 (eighteen years ago)
You're all pathetic.
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:23 (eighteen years ago)
You're just making yourself look silly, love.
― ailsa, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:32 (eighteen years ago)
Exactly, imagine having an opinion about someone you don't even know to the point where you're prepared to waste energy on arguing with people about it when all that does is makes you look pathetic we should look back upthread and see where you was shouting cos I'm being perfectly reasonable here as Davina was saying to me just the other day in fact I think I saw a big banner saying it or was it on a bus yeah it was on a bus instead of the place on the front it just said I was great.
Or something. Whatever.
― aldo, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 21:35 (eighteen years ago)
Just watching the BBBM repeat, Thalia can't do presenting, can she?
― Mark G, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 22:05 (eighteen years ago)
What did Charley do this time then? I missed BB.
― onimo, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 22:15 (eighteen years ago)
brian's much worser than charely. him winning would be the worst possible outcome.
― jed_, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 22:20 (eighteen years ago)
depends what you're measuring them on I guess but brian is not worse than charley in terms of complete horribleness
― RJG, Wednesday, 18 July 2007 22:23 (eighteen years ago)
oh jed_ you can't really think that Charley isn't completely insufferable, can you? Do you have ears? Do they work? Brian is quite annoying, sometimes, yes, but he calls bullshit on Charley when necessary, which is HERO ACTION in my book.
― ailsa, Thursday, 19 July 2007 06:19 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle was really nice to everyone (even calmer with Charley) while Ziggy was out (at the party).
Mind you, on BBBM, they were both getting hot/steamy in the shower.
Chanelle with Ziggy that is, not Charley.
― Mark G, Thursday, 19 July 2007 07:33 (eighteen years ago)
Does Zippy still keep staring at himself in the nearest mirror when he's getting hot and/or steamy?
― Noodle Vague, Thursday, 19 July 2007 08:42 (eighteen years ago)
I'm not being funny right but at the end of the day if someone asks you a question it's polite to answer do you know what I mean?

― Mark G, Thursday, 19 July 2007 09:05 (eighteen years ago)

― onimo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 09:08 (eighteen years ago)
people were talking about emily and about liam and brian never having met her and brian said he was glad he wasn't living w/ her after what she did and charley started saying that he couldn't say that because he never met emily and if anyone had the right to be offended it was charley because she was the black person that it had been said to and brian said he was just glad he didn't have to live w/ her and charley said that he had no right to say that when he didn't know emily and had only heard about what she said and then charley said that he was entitled to his opinion but that he had no right and brian eventually started to get angry and she told him not to shout and that she wasn't shouting and that he looked pathetic etc etc etc etc etc
― RJG, Thursday, 19 July 2007 09:14 (eighteen years ago)
Right, same old then. Thanks RJG.

It's not an option, this time round.
Nicky, being the only? one left who would not actually nominate Charley, is going this week.
So, all things being square next week......
― Mark G, Thursday, 19 July 2007 09:31 (eighteen years ago)
no, ailsa, i don't actually believe it! i was just drunk and contrary and didn't actually see BB ;)

― aldo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 11:10 (eighteen years ago)
why do you hate brian so much, jed?
― czn, Thursday, 19 July 2007 12:32 (eighteen years ago)
Anyone have a YouTube link to Brian vs Charley? I've missed all their fites so far.
― Matt DC, Thursday, 19 July 2007 16:34 (eighteen years ago)
Carole: "Can you take this stuff of the table and give it to them?" Charley: "I can't believe you said that, I'm not that kind of girl." Carole: "wtf I only asked you to give them the sauce." Charley: "I can't believe you said that, you think I should clear up after you because I'm a negro."
― aldo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 20:24 (eighteen years ago)
Haha, "I had 50,000 people telling me I was great, I'm not worried about one weirdo shouting at me."
SHE IS FUCKING DERANGED.
― aldo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 20:32 (eighteen years ago)
Brian and Gerri have totally twigged she is making shit up.
― aldo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 20:49 (eighteen years ago)
"And I hate her more than I've ever hated anybody else. Except maybe Rebecca Loos, or on par."
I'm the only one watching tonight, aren't I.
― aldo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 21:00 (eighteen years ago)
i'm not sure if she's making it up or if she actually believes everything she says?

― Matt DC, Thursday, 19 July 2007 21:32 (eighteen years ago)

it would be awesome if charley were "fake" from the beginning. the other contestants would probably torch C4 HQ though.
― Tracer Hand, Thursday, 19 July 2007 23:26 (eighteen years ago)
She won't even let the people agreeing with her speak. It's infuriating enough to watch, I can't imagine what it would be like living with her.
― onimo, Thursday, 19 July 2007 23:29 (eighteen years ago)
Hi, Nicky got evicted.
These threads are dyin, man!
― Mark G, Friday, 20 July 2007 23:03 (eighteen years ago)
BB is dyin, man.
actually i thought nicky's interview was the only interesting one i've watched thus far in the series. i liked nicky and i didn't think ch4 did a very good job of communicating why she was so disliked by some of the other HM's and i had a lot of sympathy for her.
― jed_, Friday, 20 July 2007 23:15 (eighteen years ago)
i have genuinely become that guy who doesn't watch big brother, after saying "i'm not watching it lol".
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Friday, 20 July 2007 23:18 (eighteen years ago)
This is better than the last two Big Brothers.
― Matt DC, Friday, 20 July 2007 23:32 (eighteen years ago)
last big brother had some classic stuff. this one is quite good as well. i didn't care about the one two years ago.
bb5 will not be beat, however.
i thought the interview was pretty good.
― Gukbe, Saturday, 21 July 2007 01:23 (eighteen years ago)
bb7 was best.
― jed_, Saturday, 21 July 2007 01:43 (eighteen years ago)
but yeah bb5 was great too.
― jed_, Saturday, 21 July 2007 01:44 (eighteen years ago)

― jed_, Saturday, 21 July 2007 10:56 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah. Call it "Jim"
― Mark G, Saturday, 21 July 2007 16:52 (eighteen years ago)
"Get Charley out! Really! No fucking Endemol shenanigans this week, get her out!"
I think it's going to be Charley vs Carole this week.
― onimo, Saturday, 21 July 2007 17:33 (eighteen years ago)
Just getting round to watching Friday's eviction shows now. Lolz at Charley's diaries/autobiography of her amazing life of, um, being born into the family of someone who went on to play for Man Utd and being the most annoying woman ever to appear on telly, especially "I'm a very good writer, yeah, I've got nice handwriting".
I liked when Charley and Ziggy were discussing the clubs they go to, and Ziggy turned to her and said "I don't like the girls at the clubs you go to". ZING and she didn't even notice.
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 10:17 (eighteen years ago)
I have to watch the highlights tonight to see if Chanelle's answer to one of the philosophical questions set during the mini-task is as funny as it sounds when you read it. I won't spoil it, such is the awesomes.
― aldo, Sunday, 22 July 2007 12:05 (eighteen years ago)
God, yeah, that's some sort of new level of awesome. Though, reading some of the other stuff, it still makes me weep inside to think that Samanda have (1) been allowed into a university and (2) may have the welfare of the nation's disadvantaged youth in their hands one day.
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 12:57 (eighteen years ago)
Haha Charley totally pulled out "Am I bovvered?" when Gerri was exposing holes in her argument.
What a surprise, Ziggy does not go after all that shite.
― aldo, Sunday, 22 July 2007 20:14 (eighteen years ago)
WAU
"Well done, only one of your friends gets her breasts out to pay the bills. "
Also, Charley beat her own record for least sincere apology ever.
For those not watching at the moment, she directly accused Gerri of having sex with minors and him having admitted it to her. When you think of what Emily The Nindie Rac1st got thrown out for...
― aldo, Sunday, 22 July 2007 20:35 (eighteen years ago)
Gerry is massively more annoying than charley.
― jed_, Sunday, 22 July 2007 20:36 (eighteen years ago)
"i'm not bein two-faced - i'm just bein real - but i liked her more than i hated her"
― Tracer Hand, Sunday, 22 July 2007 20:38 (eighteen years ago)
jed you are completely right, except for the fact that you're 100% wrong.
― aldo, Sunday, 22 July 2007 20:54 (eighteen years ago)
jed, I worry about you sometimes :-(
Gerry looks like Dougie Vipond.
http://www.jla.co.uk/images/Artists/VipondDougie1P.jpg
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:00 (eighteen years ago)
i worry about you lot too.
― jed_, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)
Can you summarise your defence of Charley? I'm not tremendously fond of Gerry, but I'd take him in a heartbeat over that deluded self-obsessed ignorant squawking midden any day of the week.
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:06 (eighteen years ago)
i don't like charley! i just thought she was good TV til a couple of weeks back but i'll still take her over gerry. i like Liam a whole lot, i think he's very smart and astute, and also carole who is a lot like some older women i know and like - but neither of them are very popular on this thread so i guess we just like different people.
― jed_, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:11 (eighteen years ago)
I like gerry
I don't like liam
― RJG, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:12 (eighteen years ago)
carole is really good when she wants to have fun and terrible when she doesn't
― RJG, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:13 (eighteen years ago)
I quite like Liam and Carole. Some of Liam's wee turns of phrase make me giggle and he seems a decent bloke, and Carole is exactly like a former colleague of mine of whom I'm very fond.
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:17 (eighteen years ago)
RJG OTM about Carole
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:18 (eighteen years ago)
liam can be quite funny but sometimes tries to be and is v obvious and annoying and I don't think he is too decent. I think his noms are often OK though
― RJG, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:22 (eighteen years ago)
well i'm glad we sort of agree ;) the good thing about BB is that you can get carried away with genuinely hating (brian, gerry) or loving (nicky last year) someone and it doesnt really matter either way and someone is going to feel the exact opposite and that doesn't matter either.
i'd like someone to explain Brian to me though, i find him completely unfunny and idiotic and depressing.
xp
― jed_, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:24 (eighteen years ago)
Brian is good value as he will occasionally bring truth to Charley's idiotic ranting, and his reactions after seem so genuine - shaking and angry and regretful and worried about what happens next. Other than that, don't get him at all, he's like a small child, but occasionally, mostly vs Charley, he seems to possess some sort of (at least emotional) intelligence which appears to desert him the rest of the time.
― ailsa, Sunday, 22 July 2007 21:30 (eighteen years ago)
It is the fact that Brian is so childlike and nice and genuine* and also just fucking hilarious that makes me love him.
*I actually don't care if it's an act any more, if it is an act he should win a fucking Oscar.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 22 July 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)
Today was the first time I've actually liked Gerry, as opposed to being 'meh' or annoyed by him. It was just zing after zing after zing. I think he thinks he is more popular than he actually is, though.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 22 July 2007 22:06 (eighteen years ago)
Matt brings the truth. Also RJG OTM upthread about Carole.

I was glued to Charley's 'epiphany' yesterday. "I'm so pathetic - trying to impress people by talking about this celebrity lifestyle" = first time we've seen her be real? She properly broke down and said that everyone had been booing her and she deserved it as she was such a horrible person and she didn't know how it had come to this. She also admitted lying about saying other people got booed, e.g. Ziggy and Liam.
She'll probably revert to type within about 24 hours but it made great TV.

It seems to me that if as has been suggested elsewhere the BB house is like a party then Carole is caught between trying to join in and trying to start the clearing up. Because you know someone's got to do it. So at those times she comes over more...erm..sullen?
― Ned Trifle II, Monday, 23 July 2007 08:33 (eighteen years ago)
I missed most of last night's - why was Carole going off at Gerry? Came in at the end of that.
― Colonel Poo, Monday, 23 July 2007 08:53 (eighteen years ago)
She'll probably revert to type within about 24 hours
Or whenever the nominations are finished.
― onimo, Monday, 23 July 2007 09:03 (eighteen years ago)
Carole wasn't really going off at Gerry as much as you might take from it - she was playing the character of someone who had voted to save him in the last eviction, and going on about how disappointed they'd be to see him become an argumentative SELF RIGHTEOUS CAAAAAAAAAAA like Charley, how they'd feel like they'd wasted their money.
It was quite an aggressively anti-Gerry edit to the event, according to people who saw it on the live feed.
― aldo, Monday, 23 July 2007 09:10 (eighteen years ago)
Ah right, that makes more sense, ta.
― Colonel Poo, Monday, 23 July 2007 09:16 (eighteen years ago)
chanelle: would sit down and talk about philosophy with a hairdresser?
gerry: yahhhhhh!
chanelle: and they would...reply?
gerry: ... ...no
― RJG, Monday, 23 July 2007 21:42 (eighteen years ago)
I enjoyed that, it's quite refreshing to see them (mostly) having fun in there rather than ripping lumps out of one another.
The news bulletin was a really good device, especially the messages from home and Chanelle's face on hearing about the Spice Girls reunion.
I am warming to Gerry more and more. "If there is a nuclear holocaust then Carole will still be there, cooking for the cockroaches".
Tracey to go this week.
― Matt DC, Monday, 23 July 2007 22:05 (eighteen years ago)
those were really good too: the atomic holocaust bit and the spice girls revelation
― RJG, Monday, 23 July 2007 22:17 (eighteen years ago)
Has Carole lost a bit of weight? I noticed a difference last night.
― *rumpie*, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 07:10 (eighteen years ago)
I loved Brian pointing out to Charley that Chanelle won all the audience votes (in the gameshow task) that she wanted to win...and Liam desperately trying not to roll around on the floor laughing.
― Stone Monkey, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 11:11 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle vs Charley, and Charley's complete inability to even let Chanelle finish her apology = AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Molly ftw.
― ailsa, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:00 (eighteen years ago)
charley dropping in "stop wearing BLACK, get some COLOUR in your life, love" at the heat of the argument = innocent style tips or charley unscrupulously attempting to coax "an emily" out of her new worst enemy?
― s.rose, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:13 (eighteen years ago)
Whatever it was, she was pwned by Chanelle's "at least I wear trousers" (or similar).
Lolz at Charley believing the "I'm going to make a million and be famous for ever" comments from last week's audience, but completely ignoring their voting of Chanelle as the most stylish.

please chanelle
― RJG, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:36 (eighteen years ago)
If she does walk, I don't blame her. Would you put up with Charley if you didn't have to?
(I take it none of them have ever referenced the crappy twist that saw Liam "win" "all" the "prize money" ever again, and still think they're there for honour and pride?)
― ailsa, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:37 (eighteen years ago)
I would be v disappointed if chanelle left
she must know charley's going to be gone, soon, w/ nicky off and her and ziggy both w/ full noms this week and w/ all the "get charley out"s wafting into the garden
haha, so funny on bblb fri, when they showed clips from the week and there was one of charley in the garden shouting "charley's in the house!!" in the garden, a pause, a response of "get charley out!!", a pause, charley: "no!!!!"
― RJG, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:41 (eighteen years ago)
Has anyone mentioned the new housemates and the house next door "twist" yet?
― onimo, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:48 (eighteen years ago)
don't think so
― RJG, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:49 (eighteen years ago)
A BB fanatic I work with told me the other day that there were six new house mates and they'd be moved into the house next door and that the current house mates would vote on which two to take into the main house. Someone on DS mentioned it as well but I can't find the thread.

So the old housemates get to watch the new ones on the telly like mini-BB or something, and maybe talk to them on the fish phone.
― onimo, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:55 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, I just read it on digital spy when trying to find betting odds for this week's eviction.
I've already forgotten the ones from the start of this series! (seriously, saw old copy of some Heat/Now/OK type thing with Shabnam and Lesley and was all "OMG that was this series!") Remember when there used to just be housemates and occasional replacements for unforeseen circumstances? Fuck all these twists, seriously, just pick better housemates and give them better tasks.
― ailsa, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 21:59 (eighteen years ago)
Best price you'll get on Charley being evicted is 1/25
(which is a 4% gain and better than sticking £3000 in an ISA for a year if you believe in dead certs)
― onimo, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)
No, 1/23. Nicky was 1/25.
Really? That low? I figure she has fans. However, saying that, I can't really seeing anyone giving a shit enough about Tracey, am imagining that any "evict Tracey" vote is pro-Charley rather than anti-Tracey, and any "evict Charley" votes are really to evict Charley rather than being linked to the legions of people actually actively wanting Tracey to stay. Any more "exciting" twists in the pipeline to keep Charley in, is she going to go into the house next door or something?
― ailsa, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)
think if they are doing anything other than a straight eviction then they tell people before the vote starts
― RJG, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 22:14 (eighteen years ago)
Aye, I'm just being cynical. Hard to believe where Endemol/Channel 4 are concerned, I know.
― ailsa, Tuesday, 24 July 2007 22:19 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle is absolutely right about the violin thing. I bet she does it in the end, though. This is the only issue I've even cared about in this series. There is a limit on what you can make even a whore do. But everyone else in the house is a total whore.
― Eyeball Kicks, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 20:33 (eighteen years ago)
totally understand her prob but, as liam says, she just needs to scrape the stick on a board a couple of times
charley's reaction to the noms so ridiculous and bb making liam do the "tracey ... ... ... ... ... and ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... charley" funny
charley singing "umberella" in the garden the other day was funny, too, like maybe she was thinking "if I sing the chorus of the most popular song in the country for the past eight weeks or whatever then I will be the most popular person in the country for the past eight weeks or whatever"
― RJG, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 20:40 (eighteen years ago)
haha, typing "umberella" like rihanna sings it
― RJG, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 20:41 (eighteen years ago)
Has Charley been told it is still the most popular song in the country? Was Umberella-ella-ella number one when they went in? (it seems to have been number one forever, in the same way that BB seems to have been going on forever)
― ailsa, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 20:46 (eighteen years ago)
was mentioned on one of the newsflashes along w/ the floods. think it must have been no. 1 when they went in, yeah

I really wanted them to give Chanelle a great violin rather than a crap one. Since she's obviously pretty good it must have been frustrating for her to know she was going to sound bad no matter what she did (esp. as she has teh fear of playing in public). Still, she did well.
Did anyone see Charley's "3+4=8" maths when Chanelle's score got shown?
― hejira, Thursday, 26 July 2007 08:05 (eighteen years ago)
I saw that
― RJG, Thursday, 26 July 2007 08:08 (eighteen years ago)
I find myself sympathising with Chanelle even when she is being petulant and silly. Although she was very melodramatic about it and didn't explain it well, I understood her fear of playing the violin. And Ziggy calling her a dick, repeatedly, and Carole making a big fuss about it, just makes me sympathise with her all the more.
― Cathy, Thursday, 26 July 2007 08:39 (eighteen years ago)
I was completely the opposite and was all CHANELLE MUST GO last night. I completely agreed with Liam, she just had to play a couple of notes if she was that bothered by it.
― Colonel Poo, Thursday, 26 July 2007 08:52 (eighteen years ago)
Chanelle is clearly very good at the violin and must have spent years practising. To manage what she did with no practice, the wrong bow, an unfamiliar instrument etc. etc. was pretty incredible. I quite understand how the amount of pressure she would have had to put on herself to get that good has given her a bit of a complex about it. There is some quite interesting discussion on the digital spy forums about how learning classical violin to a high standard can just turn you into a nervous wreck, because you get so self-critical and spend hours agonising over perfecting your mistakes. Pile on top of that all the other stress that Chanelle is going through at the moment and to me her reaction is quite forgivable.
Chanelle to win, please.
― Cathy, Thursday, 26 July 2007 18:15 (eighteen years ago)
I like all my mistakes to be perfect, too
― RJG, Thursday, 26 July 2007 18:23 (eighteen years ago)
roffles totally brought tonight.
Charley's rant about how Alex Ferguson had promised her cousin he was going to be the next Ryan Giggs and there's no way he would go to a team she'd never heard of, though his Dad might let him go to Spurs for lots of money.
Samanda's inability to read. (As an aside, Charley's inability to read an autocue kind of fucked up any future employment opportunities in that area)
Carole's double standards about ignoring Chanelle from now on.
Samanda failing to grasp what they'd been told about the money.
Carole's house being a complete shit tip, given all she does in the BB house is clean up.

every time the trailer for this award winning shite "star stories" has come on i say to sam "what award did this win, most shite comedy?" and he goes "you've said this about 20 times now". but can i just get this out somewhere? the big tagline for the show is "starring robbie, gary.... and the other three" (tumbleweed.gif) when, in fact, everyone who has ever watched TV or listened to the radio knows the names of "the other three" as well as robbie and gary.

probably for the best.
― jed_, Friday, 27 July 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)
i means best that i missed it.
― jed_, Friday, 27 July 2007 22:05 (eighteen years ago)
During the 'Meet The New Housemates' sequence all they showed of the posh girl was her smiling. Probably the fairest edit.
Brian and the new HMs have been shouting at each other through the storeroom. Shanessa has described herself as "amazingly fit" and "a porn star".
― aldo, Friday, 27 July 2007 22:14 (eighteen years ago)
white girls called chanelle and shanessa - only in england

Yes, I said to Anne that it's kind of hard to accept that your favourite of five people is the one that thinks he's a witch.
WTF Shanessa "describe myself? Dirty. Some people call me dirty. Yes a lot of blokes would think I'm a dirty bitch." WTF
Haha the rollover text on her BB pic on the website says "Care assistant, stripper (not at the same time!).
Also 26 years old? http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/media/images/Channel4/bigbrother8/contestants/shanessa_256x145.jpg

i can believe 26 y.o. crack addict, yes.
― jed_, Friday, 27 July 2007 23:49 (eighteen years ago)
Haven't seen any of the footage yet but I'm assuming this is a GET TRACEY OUT stunt, followed by getting one other housemate out. I'm assuming BB is hoping this will be Sam, chances are it'll be Carole, chances are the new housemates will be evicted asap because this NEVER WORKS.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 28 July 2007 00:37 (eighteen years ago)
it worked with aisleyne but i agree with you overall.
― jed_, Saturday, 28 July 2007 00:39 (eighteen years ago)
Aisleyne doesn't count because she was in there from reasonably early on, and also the one who was involved in that ridiculous fannydangle involving the three housemates people couldn't evict quick enough.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 28 July 2007 00:41 (eighteen years ago)
every time the trailer for this award winning shite "star stories" has come on i say to sam "what award did this win, most shite comedy?" and he goes "you've said this about 20 times now". but can i just get this out somewhere?
ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's just something that can't not be said.
Most of my keeping up with Big Brother this year has been through this thread, so, uh, thanks, everyone! I'm usually the cliché who starts off determined not to watch it because it just irritates me, but then gradually get drawn in to being irritated, I guess. There's still time! From what I've seen, I'm most amazed by Charley's speed-speaking. Anyone who speaks quickly enough to literally foam at the mouth has my admiration.
― Merdeyeux, Saturday, 28 July 2007 03:38 (eighteen years ago)
Actually, Shanessa's Welsh.
― ailsa, Saturday, 28 July 2007 08:01 (eighteen years ago)
So I went out last night and missed this. I might have to stop watching until the crack ho is gone tho. She's kinda disturbing looking.
― Noodle Vague, Saturday, 28 July 2007 08:13 (eighteen years ago)

― onimo, Saturday, 28 July 2007 09:41 (eighteen years ago)
jonty has stolen some of gerry's schtick and made it weird! I really want to see how they react to each other. shanessa looks like this year's jayne - unwatchably repulsive.
― Cathy, Saturday, 28 July 2007 09:48 (eighteen years ago)
All series I've been saying "it's great cos there's no freaks this year". Obviously they've been storing them in a shed somewhere.
― Noodle Vague, Saturday, 28 July 2007 09:50 (eighteen years ago)

I can't never work out any actual meaning in a Chantelle/Ziggy conversation.
― onimo, Saturday, 28 July 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)
Hah! I've just found out I went to school with Amy. Her VT is even better now.
"I do have some degree of intellect, I am relatively well educated by the government's standards"
Not if she went to our bloody school she isn't, it's a shithole.
― V, Saturday, 28 July 2007 21:39 (eighteen years ago)
Okay WTF?!
Utterly batshit. This man must go in.
