I think the double shot of Glory and Driving Ms Daisy cemented his Watchful Negro Goodness schtick, but he's great in both of them. For mean Morgan go to Brubaker, Street Smart (the movie which prompted Pauline Kael to ask if he was the greatest American actor), Clean and Sober and Nurse Betty.
