personality-wise i'm more or less the same person i was at 17. even my musical taste is broadly the same. i just like more stuff in addition to the types of stuff i liked then.

Hahah I was SO FRUSTRATED at age 19 that I hadn't figured out life, religion, philosophy, humanity, sexuality, etc. I was kind of having a nervous breakdown about it! Then I realized I had my whole life to figure this shit out. Now I think any conclusion I would reach would be inaccurate and trying to figure these things out is somewhat pointless, and perhaps even foolish. It's certainly more stress than it's worth for me. I've got the golden rule (for others) and the 'serenity prayer' (for self), think that's about all I need.

I had a "blog" in 1998-2000, but they weren't called blogs back then - I just had a website which I posted journal type entries I hand-coded myself in basic html. This was way before anything like blogger or LJ came into being.

The fact that I want kids
The fact that I currenly live in Boston and not New York
The fact that I never managed to be in a band
The fact that I believe now that money can, in fact, make you pretty happy

Other than that, I think 17 yr old me would be pretty happy with the way she'd turned out.
