food shirts

people love wearing shirts celebrating their favorite bands, sport teams, cartoon characters, etc. why don't they have more of these for food? aside from promotional swag and the like, you don't see shirts in badass font illustrating LASAGNA or HOT DOGS or whatever. this is a niche yet to be exploited properly!

Hey, my roommate and I were talking about making some of these last year!

HASHBROWNS, in "college" lettering across the front.

FLAPJACKS and HASHBROWNS were the ones we were gonna get made for ourselves back in the day, but now I think sandwich related ones are U&K.

roxymuzak, Sunday, 27 April 2008 21:02 (seventeen years ago)

I made myself one that says "DUKEM KITFO" because I figure that's a dish I enjoy as much as any band.

PIEROGIES is the correct spelling in English, easy to remember because they're like l'il pies!

Food shirt I would never wear, for fear of editorial context: PANCAKES

suzy, Monday, 28 April 2008 02:33 (seventeen years ago)

hey guys

uh my company has done this

like a tiedyed shirt overprinted to look like a lime or a lemon. or a watermelon or a strawberry. or a pizza. or assorted meats on a grill.

we thought they would be good promotional or festival items but not all took off -- but the corn shirt was actually our best selling product for at least 2 quarters, mostly to people in iowa.

elmo argonaut, Monday, 28 April 2008 02:35 (seventeen years ago)

perogies shirt works because that is how you spell perogies on a food shirt and also what it's really saying is "hey guys! perogies!" while at the very same time saying "perogies" and "this is a shirt with the word perogies written on it using a computer" and "i am wearing a shirt"
