I have naturally dirty dishwater blonde hair, but I dye it light yellow. So there.
And on boys, since I'm not allowed to say that the thing that utterly drives me mad is RED HAIR (the redder and more unnatural looking the better, dyed is PERFECT) I will throw my lot in on the blond side. Though I prefer dirty or streaky blond to the really white, flaxen nordic style.

I tend to look longer at brunettes (I'm all for genetic diversity) but I don't mind blondes either., Its just that if I'm out with a blonde people either think we are Scando's or Arayan Master Race plotters. Anyone who uses Johnson's Baby Shampoo is a goddess in my book.

generally fancied colour? Dark: dark as the mouth of hell, black, black, black as the crow of misery which plucks at and pecks and scars [etc...]

To answer the question, on women I don't have a hard fast preference on hair color; if it looks good, it looks good. I won't date men with hair lighter than light brown though. Can't deal with blonde.
― Ally, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)
Surely the boring, general, practical answer is that it doesn't matter - there are too many other factors involved. None of us will ever face a straight choice between two potential lovers who are identical save that one is blonde and one brunette. (None of us save Nick D.)
I think that I may be ungenerously misinterpreting the question, though. Perhaps the question is saying, abstractly, in an ideal world, which do you prefer? In which case I think I might stuick my neck, or something, out, and say, Blonde.

Depends on the situation, doesn't it? I mean, if you're just going for some good lovin', hair color ceases to be a turn-on. However, if you're doing some type of freak-nasty roleplay thing, costumes may be necessary. (Having said all that, I've never asked a woman to dye her hair for me. God, I'm boring.)

I was going to answer the question but it would be foolish of a ginger person - bleh, grumble, minging vileness, etc - to sound like she was casting aspersions on anyone else's hair colour. Plus I'm not sure I really have a preference (me, not picky? shiiiirley not, ohono...). Boring, eh? Well, no change there. Sorry.

I usually 'sport' the long ash blonde and wavy look and tend to get quite a few compliments, but earlier this year I dyed it quite dark brown - the lack of comment on the change said it all I think. Pitch black straight wigs on the other hand, are another story - such a shame my real hair can't quite pull that look off.

I mean in terms of natural skin color. And I read somewhere that men tend to have naturally tanner skin than women (not all men), so, I suppose the only true tan blonde would be a man. But as far as blonde females go, sorry. That bronze tan is fake.
As far as fake brunettes? Well, anyone can dye their hair, the trick is pulling it off to look natural or fake -if you prefer. It seems more natural for a brunette to have tan skin than a blonde. When I see a tan blonde, it looks to fake to me. When I see a tan brunette, it looks very natural.
But all I can say in final conclusion, the whole 'people with yellow hair are stupid/dumb/bimbo', I think we can all get rid of that :)

Secondly, I think that this whole notion that blond women are the "icons of the world" as Tim said is a very broad and border line race ignorant assumption!!!MANY females are not caucasion and most of them don't have blond hair, so what ur trying to say is that these woman are not icons and aren't admired like blonds and in turn white females are. If you watch any TV or follow the media, it's obvious that this whole blond ideal BS is breaking down. Look around at female "icons of the world" such as Jennifer lopez, Ashanti, Christina Milian, Halle B., Tyra Banks, Tia Carre,Alicia Keys atc... These women have different looks and ethnic backgrounds and appearnaces compared to the century old ideal of blond+blue eyes. But-- oh my gosh-- they're all sucessful! haha, what I'm trying to say is that a black hair and brown eyed girl can have just as much beauty, sex appeal and "icon" status as a blond. To have it any differently is simply untrue and unfair. There's room for all of us and none is better than the other.
Oh yeah and Davey-- J-lo looks bad without make? Have you seen Gwenyth without it?!!

Blondes are usually stereotyped as having fair skin and pale blue eyes, while brunettes are steretyped as having tanned skin and brown eyes...and there never seems to be any mention of red heads...and you know why?! Because the media used to influence women to dye their hair blonde as you would be seen as "glamorous" if you did so. Thank god people are now realising how naturally beautiful the brunette (and the redhead) can be.
Some blondes have tanned skin, some brunettes have pale skin, some blondes have brown eyes and some brunettes have blue eyes. I hope one day all these narrow minded people I always seem to encounter will realise that individuality is the only thing that will get you anywhere in life-not colour from a bottle.

The distaste for dyed red hair has remained. But the natural attraction to blonds stayed true despite a momentary aberation. "God alone could love you for your self alone and not your yellow hair".
