Let's compare our tastes in tastiness.

Kim, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ok, here's my not so healthy Monday menu:
3 500ml bottles of water
1 cup of coffee
1 cup of hazelnut vanilla coffee
1 BLT on multigrain toast
1 freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookie from the coffee shop at the office
1 large and slightly green banana
1 70g bag of ketchup potato chips
intended dinner (not yet eaten) giant bowl of salad with Maille dijon dressing.

I usually eat a larger dinner, but I'm on my own tonight and just not up to the cooking or washing that comes with 'proper food'.

Kim, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

2 pieces toast w. peanut butter, glass of orange juice.
1 coke (it was an unusual craving, i've been going 'off' coke recently)
1 chocolate bar w. peanuts ('twas filling)
a while later: 2 "fun size" mini-chocolate bar things
reheated pizza leftovers.

the end.

Mitch Lasntamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

pie!

Josh, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

what kind of pie, Josh? was it a good pie?

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

myself, i'm not a big 'pie man'. unless it's 'pizza pie' like they call it in, uh, new jersey?

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

big mac meal vanilla shake blueberry pies

anthony, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

what's with everyone and pies?

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

hey Josh, you ever notice that the "like God's spies" line from Gatsby is an anagram for "God likes pies"? neat, huh?

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

oh no wait it isn't.

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A blueberry bagel and orange juice for breakfast...yakiniku udon for lunch...blackened fish burrito, rice and beans for dinner. Num.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

a bagel with lots and lots of cream cheese
spaghetti spirals with the scary unidentifiable-meat filled sauce and cheese
a piece of bread
chocolate milk
two little nuggets that were gross
a chocolate chip granola bar
a bunch of french bread

i'm hungry but i probably don't need more to eat today....

Maria, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Here's a tip: Don't go thinking that your chocolate syrup binge doesn't count just 'cause you bypassed spoons and squirted it directly into your mouth.

Kim, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, that looks as if it's to Maria. It's not!

Kim, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mitch, how's that foot tasting? Mine's a bit chewy.

Kim, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

today...

1 cup "country time" brand pink lemonade from powder.

1 bottle minute made apple juice.

1 stick homemade teriaki turkey jerky

1 slice of leftover pizza

Approximately 4 litres of bottled water so far, planning on 6 (I usually drink 4-5 liters a day total but I'm trying to flush myself out today) ..... breakfast (i had time): 1 bowl frosted mini wheats with strawberries, 2 pancakes with 1 piece of "chocolate orange" melted and mixed in each(this is my own invention), an inch of skim milk out the gallon (fuck a glass), 1 asian pear, 1 rice cake with nutella on it......lunch: footlong pizza sub loaded, bag of sour cream & cheddar chips and iced tea from subway, was still hungry so I went and got a strawberry sundae from mcdicks, word........when I got home I had a handful of pretzel "flips" and another pear and some licorice.......I'm getting ready to go see Blade 2 right now and afterwards we're probably going to Grand Buffet (chinese)......niggas like to watch me consume insane amounts.....I know which foods to avoid (the 'fillers'), which to stock up on.....I'm the buffet ninja......I should remind yall this is pretty normal for a day, and I'm 135 pounds........if my metabolism ever conks out, shit will definitely hit the fan.....it's okay, though, I'm gonna marry an italian girl, they keep it real.

Ramosi, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Kim, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Peanut butter toast and instant coffee with milk and sugar Real coffee with milk and sugar Potato and spinach curry for dinner? (an advantage of getting up late is that it cuts down the number of meals you have)

isadora, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

di, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

breakfast: three pieces of multigrain bread of greatly varying size, with cream cheese for breakfast, plus a glass of watermelon and pineapple soda water, which sounds disgusting, and sort of is, but delicious at the same time.

lunch: all you can eat hari krishna food, $3.80 (concession). which consisted of: chick pea/potato curry, white rice, a papadam, followed by some kind of apple/pear/cinnamon dumpling smothered in custard, washed down with sweet, sweet orange cordial.

no dinner yet, but i ate some of my sister's spaghetti just then

jel --, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

So far today NOTHING ha ha ph34r me and my powers of anorexia. Or perhaps the fact that it is only 09.50 for cryin' out loud. I will tell you what I consumed YESTERDAY THOUGH:

1) cheeseburger! 2) a pint of guinness! 3) thai chicken with oriental vegetables served in a rustique roll! 4) chips and a battered SOSSAGE!

K-blimey yesterday was not at all healthy. I shall point out that I went to the GYM though.

Sarah, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually, chuck a Creme Egg in the mix there as well. God. This thread makes me feel ashamed. No wonder I am no good at keeping a food diary like wot the self help books say...

Sarah, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Breakfast: half a grapefruit, cuppa coffee, one weetabix. Each with sugar, but only a sprinkle.

Lunch: Smoked Salmon and cream cheese bagel (Sainsburys was selling basically an entire salmon's-worth for half price a few weeks ago, so it's still cluttering up my freezer. Mmmm, how I love the smoked salmon), with half a dozen sweet pickled onions on the side.

Dinner: 3 Linconshire sausages with ketchup and mustard, and steamed broccoli with sesame oil. Accompanying was half a bottle of Chilean merlot. Num.

No snacks!

Mark C, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Crap white bread toast (bread belonged to flatmate and he has eaten all my nice brown bread) with Flatmate's Marmite (ha!), and some weight watchers low fat olive oil spread thing (not sure if that really counts as food). Two cups of tea. A Flyte. A bag of sizzling bacon hula hoops from the boxes of them cluttering office. If I even see another sizzling bacon hula hoop I will vomit.

Anna, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Samantha, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anna if they are cluttering your office I would be happy to take them off your hands.

I have now had not enough TEA/coffee, a cheese salad GOO torpedo (hahaaha) from Benjys, some choccy from Holland und Barrett and a packet of crisps num num. Tonight I am going to drink a bottle of wine.

Sarah, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

circa 12 o clock-one bag of crisps.

circa3 o clock-One pint of Carlsberg, I tend to not bother buying a pint in the afternoon because I drive in and out of college and as an Irish person I recognise the only purpose of drinking is to get drunk. But this was the best tasting pint I've had in MONTHS.

circa 3.45 o clock-one bag of crisps.

Ronan, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

So far - 2 cans diet coke, 1 can lemon fanta, one glass of milk. I dont usually have more than 1 diet coke in a day and I'm feeling the worse for the second one.

Food? A banana Tracker bar num num, and a prawn sandwich from the canteen. Tonight it's pasta with green pesto and apple juice and milk, and probably nibbling some cheese too because I can't help myself. Mmmmm cheese.

Tom, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Breakfast: 2 packs of grits (with salt, pepper, and butter), apple juice

Lunch: Cherry Coke, Turkey & Swiss sandwich (with tomato and lettuce)

Snack: 2 sugar free fudgesicles, 1 sugar free orange popsicle, 1 sugar free red (I guess it was punch flavored), and pretzels

Dinner: Left over french fries with ketchup and way too much iced tea.

I eat like trailor trash.

Lindsey B, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I almost forgot the best part. I finished off a bag of vending machine "Tato Skins" that I bought yesterday before my Spanish test.

Lindsey B, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

three minties
one ginormous coffee from Starbucks

the girl said: "would you like an extra shot of coffee, to make it four?" and I didn't really understand, so I said: "yes, please".

I feel a little bit crazed and vaguely ill.

rainy, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Not so good today - two cups of coffee in the morning, four or five double chocolate chip chewy cookies, about six red licorice twizzlers (someone just HAD to put a bag of them right beside my desk) a 1.5 litre bottle of water, a can of V8 juice, and we went to the pub for dinner where I had some bruschetta, 2/3 of a burger and some fries with a thick gravy of pure evil and a pint and a half of Amsterdam light. Oh, and now I'm having a diet coke.

Kim, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Let's see.

1 cup of chai (Oregon not Marsala) 1 white sticky thing (Chinese dessert, steamed) 1 white bun (also Chinese) some dried apricots and dried sweet potatoes (about 7 apricots, 2 shreds of potato) 4 vegetarian hotdogs with mustard and bean dip (just hotdogs, no buns) Spaghetti with meat sauce (maybe about cup and a half) 1 glass of diet gingerale 1 glass of diet clear soda 2 cups sauteed veggies (onions, cabbage and asparagus) about 3/4 cup golden raisins (mmm...dessert)

I don't think I'll be hungry until lunch time tomorrow.

jen, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

refried beans and nachoes. much echinacea tea and vanilla tea.

di, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Shorty Geeta: the chocolate orange is something like a phenomenon......LOOK.....the novelty is in smashing it against something to break the shits into "slices"....i been putting m&m's in my pancakes for ages and have recently switched to 1 slice of chocolate orange...you just cook one side fully, drop the orange slice in the griddle where it melts, spread the melted chocolate around a bit, then flip the pancake onto it......this way even if i dont have syrup im like Fuck it baby i'm alright.......Jemima with your lumpy ass......you'll be dead before you hit this good thing, you son of a bitch!

Ramosi, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

something like a phenomenon..

something like a phenomenon..

ok i think i understand now, ramosi! - but another question: does this pancake idea relate at all to the idea you had once (which i didnt believe) about using crushed-up ritz crackers as the paste in a ritz cracker 'sandwich'?

geeta, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yesterday: three cups of tea, cheeseburger, steamed baby courgettes, two glasses of red wine, two glasses champagne. Oh, and a mini sandwich of taleggio cheese and Parma ham.

Today I will be having lunch with someone from a record company and that will be a little more balanced. But first, off to the Turkish Baths.

suzy, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Looking at that chocolate orange sit e just shows how much more violent the US is. Over here the slogan is "Tap & Unwrap" - but over there you have to give it a big whack.

Pete, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

so far? a small tube of mini eggs that just arrived in the post, I don't eat much when I'm not working you see. Later I will be lunching with number 5 and I will try and eat something wholesome.

Yesterday it was a ham and cheese sandwich and loads of caramelised peanuts NUM!!!

chris, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If I do not haf an all day breakfast sangwidge very soon I will die. I have eaten nothing so far yet. Am fading fast. Will be off to sangwidge shop at 12 on the dot. 6 minutes to go...

Sarah, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mark s, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

katie, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Bacon & egg sarnie from Sainsbury's. Can of coke. Revolting tea from canteen. This is all hangover food, I have a horrible image of me collapsed on the sofa in front of Eastenders in 8 hours time shovelling a pizza down my throat. This is generally the last phase in the patented Emma Hangover Recovery Diet (lunch will prolly involve tuna mayonnaise).

Emma, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey Emma as I staggered into work this morning I was having images along a similar line except it would be me lying on my bed moaning gently too myself whilst scoffing pizza king pizza and not drinking booze, certainly, not drinking booze. I haf not got my sammiche yet. I am going to go now.

Sarah, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have just eaten a sandwich feast of "Red Thai Chicken" and then prawn. Both less horrid than usual, and now I will finish my pig-out by gorging on a Banana Tracker bar, a treat I seem to be hooked on at the moment. I didnt eat anything last night to compound all the other mentalism.

Tom, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Nothing. Nothing at all. I had a spring roll at about 3 in the morning if that counts. But other than that nothing at all and I'm not sure if I should risk it either. I had to go out last night to the Kitchen because those BASTARDS U2 are closing it down soon and it was my favourite club evah.

Ronan, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I ate all the olives (but hey I did buy them) and have made the following discovery: eating a bowl of olives at 1:00 will not soak up the booze you have spent the last 6 hours drinking.

Oh god what to have for lunch? I may have to have a melty gooey sarnie from Nani's round the corner, it's like having a pizza in sandwich form.

Emma, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The thought of someone eating an olive is making me feel like vomiting.

Ronan, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A mouldy bagel. Well, i say I ate it, but i spat out my first mouthful, then swiled my mouth out. I'm sure it won't kill me. I then, rather disgustingly, transferred the parma ham and philadelphia therein to a couple of slices of bog-standard toast, and added some EVOO to moisten it up a bit. Coffee is still being drunk, as I feel a writah! should drink lots of coffee. Tomorrow I take up smoking.

What are you doing here Casarotto? Back to work, lame-o.

Mark C, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ronan it is exceedingly ill mannered to pass such comments on what other people are eating. And I just had MORE olives in my lunchtime tuna nicoise baguette. I am eating SO much today but I have a booty to maintain.

Emma, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Emma: Roman does not understand and is not ready for our JELLY!!

katie, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

English breakfast sammiche (from SNAX - it was not that GRATE sadly), coke, hot chocolate and Pret vegetable crisps, why oh why oh why... it is not helping.

Sarah, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mmmmm, chorizo and avocado sammich from Cafe Kick, lovely.

chris, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Not one damn thing yet today! I have to wait for Brian to awake from his slumber on the couch to figure out what he wants to do for breakfast (or at this rate lunch).

Ned Raggett, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I know nothing of manners, I was born in Ireland, you forget. But god do I dislike olives.

Ronan, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm drinking more LEMONADE today!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm it's good. let me be clear for the Brits: I mean freshly-squeezed lemons, water, and sugar. not Sprite. I like lemonade so much I want to write like a guidebook for the best places to get good lemonade in New York. hint: au Bon Pain does NOT have good lemonade. the kiosk in Central Park does NOT have good lemonade any more, though it once did. actually i should probably put the different lemonades on a chart or something because people's tastes might be more Catholic than mine (which, when it comes to LEMONADE, are very binary: yummy best ever/must add own sugar vs Country Tyme/dog piss; there are actually 3 main brackets that correspond w/method of manufacture but it would be like rattling off college hoops stats so I'll stop)

Tracer Hand, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Today I've had one Mintie and two coffees. Which is practically the same as t'other day but much, much worse b/c less Minties.

rainy, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

green olives, ronan! stuffed with jalapeno peppers!

geeta, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i had for breakfast: a st johns wort tea, an echinacea tea (i'm sick), plus some of mum's preserved apricots with rhubarb, rosemary and raspberry yoghurt. for lunch just then i had a fruitopia OJ and a vegetarian burger from the flying squid.

di, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
This was yummy:

http://www.dannon.com/img/product/dan_pre_bui_121_51_thn.jpg

Is Dulce de Leche the new tiramisu?

felicity, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tracer, if you started a blog about your lemonade experiences I would read it faithfully.

Josh, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think it's fair to say that I have a diet most would condemn. Today I had two Mars bars, an apple, two cheese rolls and two strawberry ice lollies. Still to come, probably: two steak pies and some tinned peaches and, unless I miss my guess, some more chocolate. Possibly a Turkish Delight. I may have a bag of crisps later. I have been eating comparably well for my whole adult life without putting on any flab at all, probably because I am a nervous wreck so burn off the calories that way.

Martin Skidmore, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Breakfast- Oatmeal cooked with apple-juice, apple, banana, raisins + a touch of cinammon
1 cup tea with milk
Lunch-Wholemeal bread + strawberry jam
1 black coffee
Dinner-Brown rice, vegtables + chicken, raspberrys + yoghurt

stevo, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

this is it, Josh! ...in New Jersey this weekend Alice's mom made it JUST RIGHT. Listen up: Squeeze a bunch of lemons. Add some water. Then make a SIMPLE SYRUP (sugar and some water over heat = clear viscous sweet stuff) and add THIS to your lemonade and you can be sure that you're getting all-over consistent sugar infusion rather than catch-as-catch-can granular entropy which you are all familiar with from drinking too many iced coffees where the bottom is sweet sludge and the top is bitter char. simple syrup is IT!!

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Orange juice and a tiny roll for a start. Baby green salad with a bit of gorgonzola and oranges for lunch, along with a strawberry/protein juice blend and a bit of turkey jerky. Mm.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I didn't so much *eat* it as SPILL it. Piping hot tomato-based stew all over 1) my leg, 2) my black & white skirt, 3) my computer, and 4) my furniture.

This is cranky making.

Pyth, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I ate a small melton morbray pork pie from Marks & Spencer. It was quite incredibly horrible. I have no idea what posessed me to buy it in thee 1st place.

|\|0|2|\/|/-\|\| |*|-|/-\'/, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Chips and a slurpee so far
But i am making vension medallians with cranberry reduction for dinenr

anthony, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

felicity, theres no way dulce de leche(strange typing like this) is better than tiramisu, it must be the happines of discovering it. and that one is even industrialized, i never had a industrialized one that was nearly as good as the ones made by aunts/mothers/grammas

Chupa-Cabras, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Chupa I only wish I could try a real dulce de leche made by your aunt/grandma/etc. Sadly, what I had was just the flavor of a new kind of super-fatty yogurt by Dannon.

This recipe for dulce de leche amuses me greatly, however.

felicity, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i got up at midday and had a bowl of porridge and a cup of green tea with jasmine.

di, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A Denver omelette and an English muffin and some cottage cheese. I don't think I had anything else today, no wonder I'm STAHVIN'! Now it's 8:15 pm and I'm on my way to El Coyote in West Hollywood for a late dinner. Where Sharon Tate had her final dinner, blah blah blah.

Arthur, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Arthur, I had an english muffin with cottage cheese too!

rainy, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How DARE they claim doce de leite to the fucking argentinians, like its THEIR thing, no way

This margarita person is clearly one of them, no doubt she must be stopped NOW!!!

Chupa-Cabras, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Them's a fightin' recipe.

felicity, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I hope your English muffin and cottage cheese was as delish as mine, Rainy. I had breakfast at this coffeeshop, the Crest, in Silverlake that caters to an older, bear-ish homosexual set. We call it "The Crust". They had this satellite radio on, it was some 70s station, and it was playing the best stuff-"Jesus Christ Superstar", "Life Is a Rock but the Radio Rolled Me", "Angie Baby", the Blue Swede "Hooked on a Feeling", I was in heaven. Anyway, I had a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco and two margeritas at El Coyote. Goodnight, all.

Arthur, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

so far, two small (very small) doughnuts, two rambutans, a moangosteen, a slice of melon, two pork steamed buns and an oreo cookie. I'm about to nip out to 7/11 to get myself their limited edition 52 oz big gulp full of coke, a bottle of red bull and a bottle of Thai whiskey and make my own Thai style bucket, just right for watching the opening ceremony and first game.

chris, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Something fruit-flavoured.

Liberace, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That sounds DANGEROUS Cabbage, but at least if you have a bucket it will be handily placed for the coming vomit!

I've eaten nothing yet. Stomach is alternately CRAMPING and then RUMBLING. However I have about a quid today so I am doomed to Benjys cheap lunch. DOOM!

Sarah, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But then he might absent-mindedly drink his own bouze vomit! Ew!

I have had a glass of grapefruit juice and a bowl of Jordan's maple & pecan muesli stuff because I am a very sensible girl.

Emma, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I stole cheese from my flatmate in a moment of hung over weakness.

Anna, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hope that they don't weigh it, or yr thieving ways might be uncovered.

Today I have eaten: 2 slices toast (buttered), 1 glass orange juice (tropicana, no bits) and 1 apple. My guts are shrieking for lunch.

Urrgh, watch out for that one Cabbage.

I have counted my money and see I have 2.40 for lunch and am trying to plan out what to get. Out of this 2.40 I want crisps AND chocolate. I can get my 'usual' ham cheese salad baguette, some 35p crisps and then a 40p chocolate bar! GENIUS! I want a MARBLE chocolate bar.

Has anyone seen the Burgundy and Mature Cheddar flavour of Kettle Chips about recently by the way? I've not seen any for AGES and I am craving their lovely taste. If I do not find them I may need a bottle of wine tonight (oh no).

Emma, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

the bucket was absolutely num, and was consumed alongside a large amount of peanut brittle. I feel fantastic (this may be the effect of the extra strength red bull, I fear for my kidneys in the morning)

chris, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Full english breakfast in local place for 3.50. It had sausage mushroom beans chips egg bacon toast and after I finished I felt so full and disgusting.

We finished it in time for the match and consumed a packet of mccoys crisps each with beer there.

chris, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How can a room move?

Emma, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

By the power of suggestion?

RickyT, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Fruit and Fibre for breakfast, with a satsuma, and pint of lovely water, and lunch was Ebly with tomato based sauce involving mint, oregano, tandoori masala spice stuff and lots of black pepper. It wasn't very nice, so I had come more lovely water.

alix, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Had one slice sprouted grain with flax seed bread with almond and hazelnut butter, cup coffee with almond milk. lunch: curry chicken wrap and slice of ginger loaf (like banana bread) late at work 8:30 pm so crunchie bar, cup of tea and third bottle (500ml) of water. That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 6 February 2003 06:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess this is the Tex-Mex corner. I had a Bean Burrito at some wack place that I usually refuse to go to.

Mary (Mary), Thursday, 6 February 2003 06:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I've never thought of a thread having a corner... whoa, that's like totally heavy dude.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 6 February 2003 06:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't answered this thread, I don't think, but the speed-dating one had me all list-making-y.

Barbecue rabbit sandwiches on "Mardi Gras bread" (regular white bread dyed purple, gold, and green) with sauce kindly brought back from Texas for me by friends. Pasta with storebought pesto. Leftover meatless buffalo wings (surprisingly meaty).

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 6 February 2003 06:56 (twenty-two years ago)

you ate bbq rabbit?!?!?

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 6 February 2003 06:58 (twenty-two years ago)

breakfast: croissant (all wrong, the bottom half entirely doughy) + detox tea
lunch: granola bar + 16oz water

boxcubed (boxcubed), Thursday, 6 February 2003 07:04 (twenty-two years ago)

BREAKFAST:
french toast with bacon, banana and maple syrup
coffee
two glasses of water

LUNCH:
apple
white peach
nectarine
rice crackers and mexican dip
"cool change" orange and passionfruit drink

DINNER:
have not had it yet, any suggestions?

rainy (rainy), Thursday, 6 February 2003 07:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, the rabbit itself wasn't barbecued -- I don't know how it would handle dry heat. Stewed rabbit, reheated in bbq sauce.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 6 February 2003 07:06 (twenty-two years ago)

oops, I also forgot that I shared with somebody a "ka-bluey", which is apparently "the ORIGINAL mouth changer candy". It did not change my mouth all that much.

rainy (rainy), Thursday, 6 February 2003 07:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Breakfast:
one small cupcake (made them last night!) without frosting
strawberry yogurt

Lunch:
lots of crackers
water
(so far)
might have some soup...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 6 February 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 6 February 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I almost did a lobster-mayo spit-take on rereading that Dulce de leche "recipe" upthread.

"The cans say to not boil them, as they may explode, and thus
I can't advise you to follow this method. . . . Alternatively you can try making dulce de leche yourself, but once again it's a pain in the butt and I've only done it once and then lost the recipe."

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 6 February 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)
