Loved it. Elizabeth Banks doesn't get much to work with but Stiffler and Paul Rudd are fantastic.

Apatow didn't produce it but it is full of Apatow regulars (Rudd, Banks, Jane Lynch, McLovin, Ken Jeong, etc.)

also yeah whole thing is pretty funny (especially the "Beyonce Pouring Sugar on my Dick" drawing)

really its biggest flaw is that Paul Rudd is supposed to be this curmudgeonly asshole but he's just too damn likable because he's Paul Rudd

jane lynch is easily the best thing about this movie

though ken jeong is pretty great too

I say this every time my wife gets frustrated by a seemingly illogical comedic device: if they did it the easy way, there wouldn't be a joke.

They twist the joke a little in this one (so it's actually funny).

I was having a shitty day yesterday (tons of people I like at work getting laid off) and this movie made me feel better.

This was much funnier than the 80s-style premise led me to believe it would be. And Paul Rudd looks hot in Kiss get-up.

Was that last part too o_O ? If so, my apologies.

yeah this was funny. really. went to the theater last night and were faced with new Bond, zck & norah make pr0n, or this. i am 100% certain we made the right decision.

(beware it does go all sappy and there are LESSON LEARNED, but still mega-lols)

one of the best-scripted comedies ive seen in awhile

rudd's best role yet. reaction to "i hear that" etc.

i reviewed this in like november and expected all the newspapers to jump on it like "omfg lol, rudd is a genius", like i did; but it disappeared completely, barely got five-liner reviews. maybe it'll blow up on dvd but wtf, this was better than any apatow film last year bar step brothers, and im a ridic apatow stan.

The movie grossed something like $85 million, which was about three times its production budget and enough to make the movie a minor hit. But I do agree, funny.

basically every single one of rudds lines in this whole movie is a lol

i thought the scenes between mclovin and rudd were really painful and kinda dragged this down. sws and his kid brought so many more lols but the best character was the sturdy hands director

she's amazing. she's the 'i'm very discreet... but i'll haunt your dreams' woman from 40yov.

I thought Rudd was hilaerious. It was all about the little fierce things he said. Only example I can think of right now is when mclovin asked him if he wanted to come inside and look at his turtle, he responded v dryly 'no, i'm fine'.

Awesome film

Again DVD extras were the best part. Scene where Davith McCracken is trying to sell insurance to Elizabeth Banks is pure gold (although this seemed to contradict the extra where he was explaining his life as manager of a Dennys.) Overall the rest of the movie was pretty hit or miss.
