I'm going to watch the ugly one from Groove Armada DJ this evening. This afternoon I'm going to mow the lawn and cook dinner. I'm a little sad because tonight will be my last night out in Dublin, specifically in Tivoli, for quite some time. I won't see my friend the support DJ all summer. I'll have to pay in to gigs. I won't be able to sit around town till the 4.30 nightbus comes along and get home when it's bright and sit in the park near my house talking rubbish.

I'll miss Dublin, and Saturday nights.

Now I'm listening to Orbital and the CD is jumping and skipping and making all sorts of new sonic delights.

i) Nearly been run over by a guy on a mobile phone (though I did just wander out in front of him without looking).

ii) Had the camp Pakistani in the newsagents very nearly come onto me when I was buying an ice lolly ("Well hello hello").

iii) Had the most incredible conversation ever with the oft mentioned Laura. She even said she might come to a FAP (or similar). Also I dropped some completely not subtle hints about fancying her (even though I'm undecided on whether I do), and she didn't seem to mind.

iv) Discovered I have done a "Tom Ewing" and [kind of] left the oven on for 24 hours (I was cooking pizza+chips yesterday and decided to leave the chips in a bit longer, and when I started dinner today I discovered they were still there. Someone seems to have turned it off imbetween, but still)

v) Come to the rescue of someone very nearly electrocuting themselves on an ancient iron that's laying about in our kitchen. Luckily the earth trip switch went (flipping an unmarked switch in the hall and wondering if the whole house is going to go dark = not fun). Basically the insulation inside the plug and gone hard and disintegrated and earth+neutral were touching.

worked/cleaned most of the day. thought i wld be hangin out with a friend tonight but her bf came too (i like him but yknow, then i was hanging w a couple on a saturday night...), saw part of a not-fully-realized in-situ dance show, ate a piece of cheap pizza and a decent ice cream cone (pistachio) for 'dinner' (was good), walked for a bit. started thinking out loud abt relationships, to which couple suggested okcupid etc. and i'm like sigh.

next saturday all i'm doing is listening to music & dancing, for real

Slept in, for me (10am). Rest of day k-lazy. Rare, but occasionally enjoyable.

I KNOW. I've never liked gyms but I do like being physically exhausted and since I haven't been dancing in 4-5 mos* and am not biking at all, the gym will have to do.

It's not as much fun as either of the above, sadly.

*Had a big, big falling out with former roommate and frequent dance partner; have stayed away from dance-type events for so long partly to avoid her, that now it seems like maybe too big a wall to climb over. ;_;
