a friend of mine writes for the hill and really hates doing this shit. has to be a bummer, they're all v serious journalists and this edition invariably gets all the attention.
cap hill world is so weird. also have a couple friends who work there & somehow they manage to be restrained, friendly, diplomatic, never express frustration with liberal groups even if they're insanely dysfunctional, work 80+ hour weeks, network without seeming tacky, even if they gripe a little they're even tempered about it.. it's like they're from a different planet.
