I've set up an ILX league on the Premier League one. Here's the code:

719981-162534

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 3 August 2009 13:27 (fifteen years ago)

I already made a team so whynot. Banking on Benty being a 25-goal striker, and Schwarzer never getting injured.

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Monday, 3 August 2009 13:50 (fifteen years ago)

Is it a head to head league or a classic one? Maybe we should do both.

same dog, different leg action (Mr Raif), Monday, 3 August 2009 15:31 (fifteen years ago)

Might we do a (separate) no-trading / captain-changing one? I have enthusiasm right now, but it'll probably/definitely fade away when there's actual football to, y'know, follow.

Gravel Puzzleworth, Monday, 3 August 2009 15:35 (fifteen years ago)

On dis ting. Can I join the ILX league only after I've completed my squad?

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Monday, 3 August 2009 17:07 (fifteen years ago)

I'm in. Thanks for setting this up.

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Monday, 3 August 2009 18:24 (fifteen years ago)

Is it a head to head league or a classic one?

Classic. Feel free to set up a head-to-head one as well if you want.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 3 August 2009 20:10 (fifteen years ago)

Done, the head-to-head code is 674840-165678

same dog, different leg action (Mr Raif), Monday, 3 August 2009 20:38 (fifteen years ago)

One last one.

796618-165902 is my handsfree management one - no transfers, and set a week one captain to stick with all season. You can still rotate players in and out of your team, though! (This one is also good if you know nothing about football and picked your team according to vague Liverpool Won't Win predictions that spurs will be good this season)

Gravel Puzzleworth, Monday, 3 August 2009 21:11 (fifteen years ago)

Good work, that's the league my lads were born to finish 14th in.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 3 August 2009 21:16 (fifteen years ago)

Again, can I join the ILX league only after I've completed my squad? Anyone please?

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 10:01 (fifteen years ago)

I think you probably have to have a squad, but you can just fill it with random players and change them around at no cost before the season's started.

Susan Tully Blanchard (MPx4A), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 10:04 (fifteen years ago)

Eg my current midfield is James Milner, Martin Petrov, Matt Taylor and Niko Kranjcar

Susan Tully Blanchard (MPx4A), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 10:06 (fifteen years ago)

Thanks!

Don't worry Ailsa, I've got the lol Scottishes covered - I just looked back at my team and saw that I had a front three of Torres (yeah sure), Bent (eeeeeeh) and Vela (wtf). I think I've been smoking crack behind my back.

Can you join the hands free version without doing a second registration?

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 10:57 (fifteen years ago)

Yes you can, just did this myself

I'm in (classic and head to head.)

Seven Swagurai (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 5 August 2009 18:01 (fifteen years ago)

I've now changed my team name for the first time and my kit for the third. Nine days to go...

William Bloody Swygart, Wednesday, 5 August 2009 20:00 (fifteen years ago)

I am also in! And already starting to regret the name of my team. Really need to think of that sort of thing more in advance and write it down somewhere, whenever the moment comes I can only think of terrible things.

Suedey 2, Wednesday, 5 August 2009 22:50 (fifteen years ago)

Can you change your name? My shit pun on Metalist Kharkiv was better in my head, and there's already a Mentalist FC there :-(

ailsa, Wednesday, 5 August 2009 22:55 (fifteen years ago)

Oh, you can actually change your team name! Always assumed you couldn't. I'll still probably just be lazy and leave it though.

Liking the new 'emergency captain strategy' thing I just noticed, that's a nice addition.

Suedey 2, Thursday, 6 August 2009 20:59 (fifteen years ago)

I'm in

Bill E, Friday, 7 August 2009 05:36 (fifteen years ago)

What's the story with this? I think I missed something a few months ago. Suddenly Dom wasn't posting any more and various people had changed their names to 'RIP Dom' or whatever. Is he banned or here under another name?

Bill E, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 22:59 (fifteen years ago)

I still have to make my team. I did so poorly last year... Why did I pick all those Spurs players?

haha this is their year isn't it?

Bill E, Thursday, 13 August 2009 00:47 (fifteen years ago)

Yes, this year I will do well by putting a lot of Spurs players in my fantasy league team.

It's gotta pay off sometime, right?

jerk store (hmmmm), Thursday, 13 August 2009 06:19 (fifteen years ago)

If you're in ignoscendi you're stuck with your team and captain now, so you might as well post them...

Mine:

Sorensen/Jaskerlining

Carragher/Toure/Corluka/Ferdinand/Cahill (latter because I got confused and thought he was the goal-scoring Australian)

Denilson/Milson/Barry/Lampard(c)/Delap

Eduardo/McCarthy/Ebanks-Blake

Gravel Puzzleworth, Thursday, 13 August 2009 13:57 (fifteen years ago)

Jaaskelainen (Hennessey)
Lescott - Hangeland - Samba (Alexander - Ricketts)
Gerrard - Lampard - Neville - Surman - Cahill
Ebanks-Blake - Torres (Jerome)

William Bloody Swygart, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:08 (fifteen years ago)

Cech (I just rotated him in because I realised Chelsea had Hull; my strategy is to just follow them round and try to bully them all season)

Upson Cole A Hangeland (+ Bramble and Warnock, who may get shipped out if he joins Villa)

Delph A Young Arshavin Malouda (Ph*l N*ville)

Bent Carew Edders

Susan Tully Blanchard (MPx4A), Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:13 (fifteen years ago)

That's for the real league, right?

Phil Neville is a midfielder now?

Gravel Puzzleworth, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:17 (fifteen years ago)

O, yeah.

He was last year too; like the sixth best one or something similarly sick-making.

Susan Tully Blanchard (MPx4A), Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:19 (fifteen years ago)

Oh, wait, people have the same team in every league? This idea won't work then.

Gravel Puzzleworth, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:21 (fifteen years ago)

yeah you might as well just filter the main league down to people who haven't made any changes (which in the past you can tell when you hover the mouse over a team).

ken "save-a-finn" c (ken c), Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:25 (fifteen years ago)

Ok, I'm in. Ludicrously, I've now joined two ILX leagues, two work leagues, and one family league. I know nowt about footy but that never stopped me being ok at championship manager. Did ok in this last year too. But still, I'm getting my excuses in early.

This year's amazing realisation: I can play it on my phone.

JimD, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:31 (fifteen years ago)

Jaask (Sorensen)
A Faye, A Ferdinand, Sagna (Figeuroa)
Lampard (C), Arshavin, Etherington, Kuyt, Jiminez
Berbatov, Jo (Ebanks-Blake).

Totally changed my side after getting 'Oh wait, Spurs always start shit' jitters. Putting Berbatov in seems incredibly stupid, but am going for the 'United's goals have to come from somewhere and couldn't afford Rooney' approach.

fruity gonzalo (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:31 (fifteen years ago)

Given (Hart)
Evra, Carragher, Cahill, Faye Ab, (Carlise)
Arshavin, Lampard, Modric, Gomez, (Jarvis)
Rooney, Beattie, (Jerome)

same dog, different leg action (Mr Raif), Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:38 (fifteen years ago)

OK, have done some tinkering. Here is Mentalist Carcrash's lineup for Saturday:

Cech
Brown - Evra - Lescott
Reo-Coker - Cattermole - Lampard (C) - Fellaini - Arshavin
Scotland - Crouch

Subs: Schwarzer, Kalvenes, Bramble, Cousin

ailsa, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:42 (fifteen years ago)

I'll do that, Ken.

Gravel Puzzleworth, Thursday, 13 August 2009 16:45 (fifteen years ago)

I'm in ignoscendi and have no idea what my team was because it keeps redirecting me to the home page. I remember only that Torres was my captain and Bendtner was his strike partner - got very excited about Bendtner being the bargain of the competition at 6.5m with no competition, but I forgot that Eduardo was still alive.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:00 (fifteen years ago)

ailsa, Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:16 (fifteen years ago)

although saying that greg there's no harm in starting a separate league that just does the filtering for you (plus as admin you get the satisfaction of booting off anyone who makes any changes :))

ken "save-a-finn" c (ken c), Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:38 (fifteen years ago)

lol. I made the name in Good/awful names for fantasy football teams/five-a-side squads/sporting pub quiz teams and it was the only good one I could remember that I had thought of when I made my team. However, I guess I should have re-read the thread; have just noticed that it was also claimed by darragh on there.

Dibs on Frank.

fruity gonzalo (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:51 (fifteen years ago)

Good chant at Celtic Park once: "one's called Ronald, one's called Frank, one missed a penalty, the other one's a wank". <3 Celtic fans.

ailsa, Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:56 (fifteen years ago)

Oh, just noticed you can change names. In my infinite free time, I will think of a new one.

Or just nick one from that thread.

fruity gonzalo (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:57 (fifteen years ago)

Could someone kindly explain the difference between both ILX leagues? I don't think I get it. Does the second one mean you don't have to change your team in between games?

Also: is it better to make, say, Torres you captain than a Lampard or Gerrard?

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Thursday, 13 August 2009 20:45 (fifteen years ago)

I think there are two classic league and one head to head league. You're allowed to make transfers in one of the classic leagues but not in the other. In the head to head league you play a game each gameweek against another team in the league. Your score versus your opponent's score. 3 points for a win and 1 points for a draw and transfers are allowed.

Usually a goalscoring, assist making midfielder is the way to go for a captain (Lampard, Gerrard, Arshavin, and Ronaldo in years past) it depends on the fixtures.

same dog, different leg action (Mr Raif), Thursday, 13 August 2009 21:14 (fifteen years ago)

Alternatively, if you can't afford a goalscoring, assist making midfielder like those named, a good bet on captain is a full back who'll get clean sheets and plenty assists from crosses (such as Cashley or Evra).

fruity gonzalo (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 13 August 2009 21:21 (fifteen years ago)

Have dropped out of the Ignoscenti as I am confused as to how to make changes in one version of a team & not the other. Anyway, here's my line up

Schwarzer (Sorensen)
Ferdinand Turner Richards Clichy (Hangeland)
Kuyt Arshavin Reo-Coker Pienaar (Modric)
Bendtner Drogba (Healy)

Bill E, Thursday, 13 August 2009 21:58 (fifteen years ago)

I have returned for this. I hope it will be worthwhile.

Ally C, Saturday, 15 August 2009 11:51 (fifteen years ago)

I have too. Actually, I wasn't really away, but I've never done ILEFF before.

Alba, Saturday, 15 August 2009 11:53 (fifteen years ago)

Given, however, that I have put all my faith in Tottenham again, it evidently won't be.

Overall: #38

Feel this is unlikely to last.

Gravel Puzzleworth, Saturday, 15 August 2009 20:31 (fifteen years ago)

I'm 2298th overall! From the Dutch players...

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Saturday, 15 August 2009 20:37 (fifteen years ago)

976,151st overall - comfortably mid-table

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 15 August 2009 20:48 (fifteen years ago)

Fabregas (C) 44
on his own would be two points off the lead in the ILX league

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 15 August 2009 20:49 (fifteen years ago)

19 massive points, with Drew Surman not even playing at all. Hmmph. But on the other hand, I finally got the right shades of pink and navy on the kit.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 15 August 2009 21:01 (fifteen years ago)

This would be the one season where I dont put Fabregas in my team thinking 'well, he normally starts off a little slow', and like everyone else opting for Arshavin.

Was nice for Arshavin/Eduardo and Pienaar to all combine right at the end and grab me some points.

I should have 8 points more than I do, I was absolutely certain I put Sorenson in goal. Now think I must have just closed the window rather than actually saving it. Who do I have now? Joe Hart. Come on Birmingham!

Suedey 2, Sunday, 16 August 2009 10:17 (fifteen years ago)

Yeah it's a bit unclear when your selection is actually saved isn't it? I haven't see a big SAVE button anywhere

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 16 August 2009 10:39 (fifteen years ago)

If any of your outfield players play no part in the Gameweek, then the computer will try to substitute the inactive player for one of your replacements. This is done by replacing him with your highest priority substitute who actually played in the Gameweek and doesn't break the formation rules.

So if a player sits on the bench for all matches in the Gameweek, does the automatic substitution kick in?

Alba, Sunday, 16 August 2009 14:49 (fifteen years ago)

Yep. Doesn't help me much this week, I've got 7 players with no game scheduled.

JimD, Monday, 17 August 2009 11:49 (fifteen years ago)

huh, why's Ignoscendi head to head? And how did I end up top of it, with Jamie nopoints Carragher in defence? Yous are rubbish.

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Tuesday, 18 August 2009 12:56 (fifteen years ago)

Enjoy it while it lasts, pal - you're going down next week.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 18 August 2009 13:09 (fifteen years ago)

No room left in H2H I presume?

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Tuesday, 18 August 2009 13:30 (fifteen years ago)

man I'm inexplicably good. Only Dom ahead of me, and I assume he's thoroughly researched which players are being distracted by their mum's cancer. Poor shmuel marm, that low of 5 points is gonna be tough to beat, mass swine flu deaths excepted.

Not that I want to mess with a good thing, but I'm still not sure how to not have transfers apply to the hands off team. Anyone?

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Thursday, 20 August 2009 18:58 (fifteen years ago)

I assume hands-off means we're stuck with sundry poor choices, like a Newcastle manager hastily appointed one day after the transfer window closes. On the upside, though, my automatic transfers did kick in last night to give me three Stoke players out of four at the back.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 20 August 2009 19:12 (fifteen years ago)

my Sorensen auto-sub nightmare came true, but it seems that 10 saves = $$$.

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Thursday, 20 August 2009 19:34 (fifteen years ago)

Right, I'm back from holiday and it's time to do some surgery to my team. I've binned Crouch (as 'Arry doesn't seem to want to play him) (not that that's holding Spurs back at all) and Mikkel, and brought in Bent and Hunt. I'm a bit disappointed with Arshavin - I blew nearly all my money on having him, Rooney and Torres, but he hardly got any points, despite Arsenal banging in 57 goals at Goodison last weekend.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Friday, 21 August 2009 21:31 (fifteen years ago)

I bought Defoe in on the logic that he would single-handedly rape Hull, but then forgot to make him captain; based on his excellent form on the opening day my vice captain became Ryan Shawcross, who got no points at all.

Susan Tully Blanchard (MPx4A), Friday, 21 August 2009 21:59 (fifteen years ago)

I have ditched Crouch and Lescott. I fear a whole season of chasing my tail, subbing in guys after they've had their one good game of the season.

ailsa, Friday, 21 August 2009 22:58 (fifteen years ago)

Lol, I'm so very new to this league set-up, I didn't even know it was possible to bump and exchange players during season ~ like, every week! Possibilities are endless!

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Saturday, 22 August 2009 00:17 (fifteen years ago)

Woo! I've leapt up the table to fourth (admittedly before the end of the gameweek).

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 22 August 2009 21:46 (fifteen years ago)

two weeks pass...

I knew I should have waited til after the international break to make any transfers, Arshavin's injury has left me with the bare bones squad, mind he hasn't exactly set the world on fire yet so maybe it's a good time to get shot of him.

Bill E, Friday, 11 September 2009 00:18 (fifteen years ago)

There are only three points separating fourth to ninth spot in the battle for that final European place.

Should I sell Carragher? Liverpool seem quite ropey defensively this season and he's playing worse than usual, but I can't quite shake the fear that if I sell him they'll suddenly keep ten clean sheets in a row.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 21 September 2009 09:57 (fifteen years ago)

ooof what a week.

What are the benefits of dating a younger guy, better erections? (darraghmac), Monday, 21 September 2009 10:07 (fifteen years ago)

I'm still kinda amazed by how well I'm doing, especially since half of my first team is doing terribly. Darren Bent, stroke of genius. Fulham trio currently looking regrettable. Will stick with Carragher till Liverpool have conceded 60 goals.

And on that note, how do I change my team for some leagues and not others ('others' being our hands-off one)? I thought I had done it but then I noticed I had two weeks of Kranjcar in my supposedly no-changes side (don't worry - he got fewer points than my subs would've). I'm guessing that the answer is that I misunderstood somewhere and I don't.

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Monday, 21 September 2009 10:08 (fifteen years ago)

Carragher's totally shot by the looks of it. I was going to say he looks retirable, but Hyypia hung around for ages after he started to look dodgy.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 21 September 2009 10:44 (fifteen years ago)

carragher has always been a slow and lumbering shambles. he's just never conceded a penalty for it before.

ailsa, Monday, 21 September 2009 17:06 (fifteen years ago)

It says it all about my midfield that the automatic sub took until yesterday to deselect Modric, and even that was only because Carrick got on in the last minute

Ismael Klata, Monday, 21 September 2009 17:11 (fifteen years ago)

Finally caved & played my wildcard - watch it all turn to shit this weekend

Bill E, Tuesday, 22 September 2009 03:37 (fifteen years ago)

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 27 September 2009 21:27 (fifteen years ago)

haha. Torres and Bent, I could kiss yous. (There's still a chance Bridge could get negative points for me tomorrow!)

Akon/Family (Merdeyeux), Sunday, 27 September 2009 23:17 (fifteen years ago)

I had both Torres and Bent, but unfortunately chose Rooney (2 points) as my captain.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 28 September 2009 06:57 (fifteen years ago)

I was the same but forget to change my captain from Glen Johnson. Still have my three Man City players to provide me with points tonight so could yet improve on 14th in the ILX league.

Top ten YO. Second highest score in the league for the week. Six goals and fuck from my strikers. If Bent hadn't dicked around with the penalties and if the own goal had been rightly credited to him, I'd have several more point an' all.

Lovely and tender, like velvet. (Upt0eleven), Tuesday, 29 September 2009 08:15 (fifteen years ago)

What's wrong with Carrick? He seems to only ever be a late sub these days; but he was on for the full champions league match, played well and scored. This is becoming a fantasy league problem, with Modric out I need the rest of the boys to step up a gear.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 3 October 2009 19:57 (fifteen years ago)

When do subs get factored in? Because Altidore didn't play, Stanislas did (my first sub) and scored. And yet I have Jozy's 0 taking me nowhere.

Not so glad I chose this week to bring in Torres and put Bent on the bench.

carrick in too slow/languid for premier league shocker?

Brewer's Bitch (darraghmac), Sunday, 4 October 2009 20:53 (fifteen years ago)

Fabregas has single handedly put me top but I shouldn't have taken out Bent for Saha this week, Vermaelen seems to be this year's must have goalscoring centre back.

same dog, different leg action (Mr Raif), Sunday, 4 October 2009 20:58 (fifteen years ago)

I finally bit the bullet on Friday and sold Carragher and bought Vermaelen which was THE RIGHT THING TO DO. However, for the second week in a row I had Rooney (deux points) as captain.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 4 October 2009 21:01 (fifteen years ago)

Brewer's Bitch (darraghmac), Sunday, 4 October 2009 21:08 (fifteen years ago)

Oh FFS. I score second-top again in the ignoscendi league, and this week I lose the head-to-head to 'YidArmy Foot Soldier' - who doesn't even exist.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 4 October 2009 22:22 (fifteen years ago)

Oh FFS, pt2: I thought I'd snatched an Owenesque late winner with the automatic subs, but they went through in the least-rewarding combination possible, and again I lose by a point.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 5 October 2009 22:01 (fifteen years ago)

I have no idea who my captain is going to be this week. I didn't pay attention to the internationals this week, so I didn't realise Rooney wasn't playing and left him as my captain. I think Torres would normally be his replacement, but he's not playing either.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 17 October 2009 15:28 (fifteen years ago)

I didn't even think about captain with Torres out. I think I've got it on form, so probably Bent? This week I'm going to have, I think, a nine man starting lineup (one of those the zero point Ashley Cole) if I'm lucky. Call it a draw, Oh Wengerpaws?

FC Tom Tomsk Club (Merdeyeux), Saturday, 17 October 2009 15:43 (fifteen years ago)

Gravel Puzzleworth, Saturday, 17 October 2009 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

No prob, I'll settle for that draw Merdeyeux :-)

Have hardly look at this thing for weeks. Last move I made was probably sell Gomes (for he seemed to be out with an injury for quite some time) and getting Foster in (Van der Sar was out at the time). Sheesh.

young depardieu looming out of void in hour of profound triumph (Le Bateau Ivre), Saturday, 17 October 2009 19:47 (fifteen years ago)

I'm very sorry Bateau but I think that Fulham defensive masterclass means I beat you by about 3 points. After this unlikely victory it's safe to say that I'm going to walk this, amn't I?

FC Tom Tomsk Club (Merdeyeux), Monday, 19 October 2009 21:22 (fifteen years ago)

I'm not sure which it is, but you're either ranked #42 having scored 1,907,773 points, or ranked #1,907,773 having scored 42. Well done either way!

FC Tom Tomsk Club (Merdeyeux), Monday, 19 October 2009 21:54 (fifteen years ago)

I was staring disaster in the face, but thanks to three automatic substitutions, a Fulham clean sheet, and the program choosing Bent for me as my replacement captain, I've managed to scrape together 50 points.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Tuesday, 20 October 2009 07:24 (fifteen years ago)

The program chose Kuyt for me, else I might've pulled off an unlikely win. Bent really was the inspired choice this year. Not Bendtner, like I chose.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 20 October 2009 07:35 (fifteen years ago)

Did anyone have Defoe in their team? As captain? I signed Huddlestone this week, netting myself a useful 2 points.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 22 November 2009 19:05 (fifteen years ago)

I saw his five goal haul and went into a bit of a cold sweat, only to find that nobody else in my main league had bothered to put him back in post-suspension either

Also spent Saturday massively angry that my decision to replace Sorensen with Cech hadn't registered, but then Sorensen got more than double Cech's total and I felt a bit jammy

Fuck not noticing that Blackburn have two games though, David Dunn's on fire

MPx4A, Monday, 23 November 2009 11:50 (fifteen years ago)

IIRC the only Spurs player I have is Essou-Okkoto who didn't keep a clean sheet and was subbed in the second half.

go in go hard brother (Billy Dods), Monday, 23 November 2009 11:59 (fifteen years ago)

I've had Crouch since day one. You'd've thought one of the two strikers in a 9-1 could do better than one goal and one assist.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 23 November 2009 12:06 (fifteen years ago)

Praise the Lord for automatic substitutions. I've just discovered that Hunt replaced Drogba in my team and somehow picked up 18 points this week.

Teh Movable Object (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Friday, 27 November 2009 16:42 (fifteen years ago)

I scored a grand total of 6 points from Saturday's fixtures, but somehow managed to end the week on 64. If I could only work out how to stop the site allocating me Kuyt as emergency captain, and giving me Clint instead, my boys could be challenging for Europe.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 27 November 2009 16:46 (fifteen years ago)

you can allocate emergency captain based on form and something else, i can't remember what- it's an option on the same screen where you pick your subs.

Louis Cll (darraghmac), Friday, 27 November 2009 17:16 (fifteen years ago)

I was wondering how I managed 70 points, but I guess having three players who played 180 minutes in the week will help with that. When I have an undead Torres and Modric I'll be getting that EVERY WEEK, though.

My congratulations go to Paul O'Brien, currently bottom of the ILX league but with the 3rd highest score for this week with a team featuring three Hull players, three Blackburn players, three Fulham players and two Everton players.

FC Tom Tomsk Club (Merdeyeux), Friday, 27 November 2009 17:19 (fifteen years ago)

Done xp - now watch Dirk keep Rafa in employment.

Most annoying moment so far - Stoke bringing on Higganbotham in the last minute v Spurs, gaining my boys 1 appearance point and nixing 9 clean sheet, etc. points for his would-be sub Faye.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 27 November 2009 17:24 (fifteen years ago)

tbh i can't complain but having drogba as captain and fabregas as emergency captain didn't really work out this particular week, but 65 is a keeper given i had only 20 or so on saturday evening.

just having a look through the no-changes results I appear to be a serious bogey side for Ismael. In our five matchups I've won four and we've drawn once, with my wins including an 84-76 and a 22-21. Sorry.

FC Tom Tomsk Club (Merdeyeux), Tuesday, 2 February 2010 22:44 (fifteen years ago)

I might live to regret this, but I've sold the misfiring Arshavin (despite the fact that he's about to play Liverpool, who he famously scored four goals against last Spring) and replaced him with New God Nani (who I'm desperately hoping doesn't revert to type).

Home Taping Is Killing Muzak (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Tuesday, 9 February 2010 17:18 (fifteen years ago)
