After volunteering to help with the valet parking, Dharma spends some quality time with one of the guest's sports cars while Greg gets into big trouble for a long past contention that another of the guests was his "first".

208 "Like, Dharma's Totally Got a Date" November 11 Dharma tries to boost the ego of a neighborhood high school kid by going with him to the prom. Meanwhile, Larry startles Kitty causing her to fall and injure her tailbone. After being embarrassed in front of the mayor, she responds by suing Larry.

209 "Brought to You in DharmaVision" November 18 It seems that Dharma has gone too far in trying to be accepted into Greg's family, so the spirit of her Native American friend George shows up to guide her back to herself. Dharma ends up in the woods with Jane where Greg and Larry try to go "rescue" them.

210 "Yes, We Have No Bananas (or Anything Else for That Matter)" November 25 Greg is upset at being given the same "Superior" rating as Pete and spends the episode trying to find ways to show his boss the difference between "OK" and "superior" while at the same time being driven to distraction by Dharma's new business, which doesn't sell anything.

211 "The House That Dharma Built" December 9 Larry and Abby's right to their property is under siege by an unscrupulous developer who is an old rival of Greg's. Greg and Pete go off to try to get even their way while Dharma and Jane try it another way. Eventually, the two groups meet up and the real estate developer's wife gives them everything they need because Dharma simply asks.

212 "Are You Ready for Some Football?" December 16 When Greg and Pete take Dharma to see a football game, she becomes obsessed with the sport. Cameo by Steve Young.

213 "Death and Violins" January 6 Dharma tries to help Kitty make up with her dying mother-in-law Beatrice Montgomery.

214 "Dharma and Greg on a Hot Tin Roof" January 20 Dharma and Greg are masquerading as a southern couple in a golf shop one day when they bump into another truly "Southern" gentleman who it turns out is a judge before whom Greg has to argue a case. Greg, who fared better, tries to maintain a "structured" approach to Dharma's recovery, which, unfortunately for her, doesn't allow for skipping physical therapy appointments in favor of wheelchair-tongue-depressor relay races down the hospital halls.

502 "With a Little Help From My Friend" 09/25/01 Dharma decides that her accident must be a manifestation of the universe shuffling her cosmic deck of cards so that she can help people — from the hospital, physical therapy, insurance company, etc. — whom she otherwise wouldn't have met. Yet, while Dharma loves giving help to others, she's not nearly as fond of accepting it for herself, even when she's in a wheelchair.

503 "Papa Was Almost a Rolling Stone" 10/02/01 Dharma learns that her dad, Larry, used to sing and play guitar in a band, but gave it all up when she was born. Feeling guilty, she tries to convince him to perform again. Meanwhile, Larry sets up some old pirate radio broadcasting equipment in Dharma's living room to give her something to do while she's recuperating. Initially, Greg scoffs at "Radio Dharma," but one on-air debate with a caller later, and he's hooked.

504 "Sexual Healing" 10/09/01 At the same time that Dharma's doctor gives her permission to resume sexual relations, Greg sees their totaled car for the first time since the accident and learns that the insurance adjuster ruled it a case of reckless driving. Now completely guilt-ridden and overly cautious, Greg's unable to enjoy Dharma's romantic advances. Meanwhile, Edward wants Larry to return the rundown desk chair of his that Kitty attempted to throw out. While at first annoyed by Larry's insistence that they play games for the ownership of the chair, Edward grows to enjoy Larry's company.

505 "Without Reservations" 10/16/01 Dharma's unique approach to the world creates new challenges for Greg when she decides to operate their apartment as a bed and breakfast. Meanwhile, Kitty enlists Greg's help in correcting a different mistake: She's just learned that her sizeable donation to the zoo helped build the "Kitty Montgomery Hippo Habitat," on the landmark 100th episode of Dharma & Greg.

506 "Try to Remember This Kind of September" 10/23/01 Dharma's best friend from her childhood commune days, September (Juliette Lewis), pops back into her life unexpectedly, evoking feelings of jealousy in Dharma when she proves to be the perfect hippie child in Abby and Larry's eyes.

507 "Used Karma" 10/30/01 When Greg starts to dress and act strangely after driving the used car Dharma recently bought, she worries he's been possessed by the spirit of the car's previous owner, a petty criminal and gambler who met an untimely death. Meanwhile, Edward has Larry set up a security camera at his house to help catch the kid who eggs his house every Halloween, but the "trick" is still on him, on a special Halloween-themed episode.

508 "Home is Where the Art Is" 11/13/01 Jenna Elfman's real-life husband, Bodhi Elfman, guest stars as an old performance artist friend of Dharma's who convinces her to co-star with him in his latest work: To live "on display" in an art gallery 24 hours a day for a week. Needless to say, Greg's not thrilled with her decision, and father-in-law Larry's moving in with him doesn't help matters.

509 "Wish We Weren't Here" 11/20/01 On their way to the Bahamas for Thanksgiving, Dharma and Greg get stuck in an airport where, they run into Pat Benatar and her husband/producer/guitarist Neil Giraldo. While Greg spends every moment trying to get them on a flight — any flight — Dharma transforms the airport into a wedding chapel for a pair of stranded lovebirds. Back in San Francisco, Kitty and Abby squabble over who's in charge of the Thanksgiving dinner while Edward and Larry keep score.

510 "Dream A Little Dream of Her" 11/27/01 When Dharma learns Greg's sexual dream girl is renowned concert violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg (guest starring as herself), she tries to fulfill his fantasy by arranging a videotaped encounter.

511 "A Fish Tale" 12/04/01 When animal rights activist Abby learns that Greg and Edward are going fishing, she bans Greg from the Finklestein home, prompting Dharma to do anything to stop them from going. Through her efforts, Dharma uncovers the well-kept secret of where they really go every year — Las Vegas!

512 "Previously on Dharma & Greg" 12/11/01 Greg proposing to another woman? Dharma bringing another man home to meet the folks? This landmark flashback episode takes place six months prior to the series pilot and shows Dharma and Greg's lives before they met and married on their first date. Share in Kitty's chagrin as Greg breaks up with his debutante fiancée, and join Larry as he watches Dharma leave a great guy who "refuses to get a job."

513 "Protecting the Ego-System" 01/08/02 Kitty brings Dharma to the ground-breaking ceremony of her arch-nemesis Teensy Manhart's new outdoor amphitheater. But Dharma takes a flying leap into the path of the spade in protest when she realizes the theater's intended site is a precious wetland. Abby, Larry and Ed Begley, Jr., a well-known environmental activist, join in her protest.

514 "Near-Death of a Salesman" 03/05/02 A heart attack scare causes Edward to reminisce about a simpler time in his life, when he wasn't a high-pressured "captain of industry." Recognizing his desire for an easier life, Dharma encourages him to take a job as a shoe salesman, which works out fine — until Kitty finds out. Meanwhile, Greg gets a taste of what life would be like as his father's business successor.

515 "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's ... My Wife" 03/12/02 Dharma is the inspiration for her nerdy neighbor/admirer's new comic book heroine, the Blonde Tornado, a sexy, crime-fighting superwoman. While Dharma enjoys her newfound stardom, Greg's life whirls out of control after a newspaper photo of a burglary hails her as a real life hero and him as her cowardly sidekick. Greg's insecurity manifests itself in a special effects-filled dream sequence.

516 "I Think, Therefore I Am in Trouble" 03/19/02 Supermodel Claudia Schiffer guest stars as Gretchen, a drop-dead gorgeous new lawyer in Greg's office about whom he's having sexual fantasies. Guilt-ridden over his inappropriate thoughts — especially since it's his "four-and-a-half-year anniversary" with Dharma — Greg tries desperately to get Gretchen off his mind … to no avail.

517 "She's with the Band" 03/26/02 Dharma's good intentions equate to bad business for Greg when she tries to help the daughter of an influential businessman by filling in as the drummer in her rock band. Things get especially harried when the band is caught jamming naked on the rooftop of their apartment building.

518 "Mission: Implausible" 04/02/02 A visit from a younger alumnus from Greg's law school launches him into the middle of a crazy college game with very specific rules. Despite Greg's reluctance to engage in a college prank at this stage in his life, Dharma leaves him no choice when she rallies the gang to help him win back his championship title.

519 "This Diamond Ring" 04/02/02 When Dharma takes her ring to a jeweler to get it cleaned, she learns that what she'd believed for the past five years to be a priceless family heirloom is, in fact, just a really good fake. Meanwhile, Pete turns to Dharma for help in getting Gretchen (Claudia Schiffer) to go out with him. Her simple, sound advice works … Soon Gretchen is head-over-heels for Pete — and he can't stand it.

Dharma tries to appease both sides by arranging for everyone to spend the weekend at the Montgomerys' mountain chalet, but when the usual bickering and insults kick into high gear, it finally sends Dharma and Greg over the edge. In the second half-hour, Dharma & Greg get stuck in a snowstorm after leaving the chalet and begin to wonder how their diverse upbringings will affect them as parents.

This used to be me, too. But between (a) a broken remote that I cannot seem to replace anywhere, (b) helping my daughter with homework and the fact that she goes to bed absurdly late, and (c) the omnipresent interwebs, I haven't seen almost any TV shows in years. No Lost, no American Idol, no ER, only two episodes of The Sopranos and Entorage, and so on and so on.

It's strange to be so divorced from some big swaths of pop culture. I've never heard songs by T-Pain and Lady Ga-Ga, either (among others).

Did I say kinda hot? Let me rephrase: Hot.

ARTIE: One of my favorite things you ever did here before I got here, just listening during the news once. You played two separate clips of Jenna Elfman speaking and she somehow finished her sentences, like the one, she was in tune with the crap she was feeling!

I lived with a TV-holic roommate and I'd just watch whatever he had on until I couldn't take it anymore. That's my excuse.

I used to live with the actress who is playing her sister on the new show. I hope, for her sake at least, that it gets better. She is actually quite a funny lady.

yeah she is definitely one of the bright spots of that show, it'll live or die on the strength of its supporting cast

Family Guy may not be all that, but it nailed this show.
