would like to note that I totally pre-empted Fabio by adding Wilshere to my first XI, although that was on the basis that he'd be going to Bolton so now I'm not so sure.

I started out going for an ILX cult XI, but there was no way I was going as far as Almunia. Then I realised that with a bit of rejigging I could afford Torres & Reina, so bye-bye Andrey and Sturridge. I couldn't find Sturridge anyway, there was no sign of him in the City squad.

Sturridge has gone to Chelsea.

No Kitson no credibility.

Kitson was before my time, I'm mourning Jimmy instead.

I'm in with Endless Summersby, and by law of averages I will be mid-table again this year.

I'm planning on a good early run with the leaders, then a slow, graceful slide when Torres gets crocked and I don't replace him. I expect my fantasy team will play out in much the same way.

xp I threw away 12! I really like swapping things around pointlessly. I try to go for a really satisfying balance of colours in my team.

my ridiculous mistake of not having Drogba in my starting team

I wanted him in my team, but when I was making it (a week before the start of the season) it told me he was injured. Then I was off to Germany for the best part of a week, so didn't have the opportunity to change it. If I'd known he would be playing (and if I'd bothered to find out who Chelsea were playing in their opening match) I would definitely have picked him.

I don't mind. I never usually bother with changes but I did one earlier seeing as Aquilani was my main man. Happy to stick now if that's the consensus.

Rooney's virus meant Tevez got made my replacement captain, winning me enough points last night to catapult me from the depths of shame to midtable respectability. Ismael - you'll be pleased to see you've climbed up to take my old one-from-bottom spot.

In the head to head league, I won my first four matches, and have now lost every one of the next seven. I'm the Chelsea of the Zingari.

iirc nbs and I filled the relegation slots after week one - like Hodgson's Liverpool my boys have since been incrementally improving to no great effect, while in true United style it's only delayed his charge to the top by a week

i think i'm playing the role of everton; an appalling start (lower than ismael in september) followed by a fine run of form (top of the table for november), but is it all too little too late?

after not checking it for the better part of three months, i can't believe i'm as high as 16th (and only three points adrift of darragh). can only attribute this unlikely surge to chelsea players being mia for the winter months.

Determined not to miss out again I made my transfers there and then. In the cold light of day I realise it's the FA Cup this weekend and I've been a bit hasty.

Finally - I was top scorer last week by an absolute mile. Keeping faith with Lampard has paid off bigtime there.

The Zingari league moves onto its postseason playoffs now. You two are head-to-head in the semis, something of a grudge match clearly. Sadly that's the end of the road for The Ismaelites - Zingari Serie B beckons - but at least we did manage to spoil Merdeyeux's hopes in the final round.

Gah, I don't think I've changed my team since about January, which has scuppered my chances a bit. Also, in a game of that magnitude you need a strong referee, and we didn't get that.

Congrats to Zoamorphosis on your Zinga final win. I actually forgot to change my team, but think I would have lost anyway (I'd half-planned to buy Kuyt or Suarez and neither of them did anything). My boys shat themselves this season, slumping from mid-table dominance to an embarrassing ninth overall, leaving the ultimate victory to.....the ghost of Dom.

My late surge wasn't quite surgy enough to absorb the penultimate week's collapse. Congratulations to Alan and the ghost of Dom.
