thank you!! i had a truly excellent day yesterday in spite of having to go to work and stressing about classes (which start monday)! my coworkers sang to me & gave me flowers, my mom bombarded me via text with baby pictures of myself that she had been saving up for days (she recently became confident using the camera on her phone and is going bananas <3) and i generally felt loved and appreciated in a way that i felt comfortable with. my partner gave me a weighted blanket and i adore it. my dog gave me a cheddar goblin hoodie and i can't wait to wear it all winter. i invited people out for beers and they actually came! i don't even mind getting older and putting this last 12 month period behind me. looking to the future is the only way.
thank you for thinking of me ilx. the last time i had a birthday party i was turning 30 and i had just met the chilx gang. now it is many years later!

so far i have eaten an omelette w spinach/gruyere, v refined :) later i am going out to dinner and will probably eat some grilled octopus and a medium-large plate of orechiette w sausage and greens. maybe something else! i haven't decided.

depends on who you ask -- i played piano and clarinet as a kid, but did not get very far (nor did I care for the clarinet very much). i started playing drums 11 years ago in June, and have since taught myself how to play two different synths and use a looper. a few years ago i started playing gongs as well.
