With a bong, the smoke goes through the water or the peppermint schnapps or whatever. That's what makes it a bong, the filtration. (Which I have always assumed actually decreases the potency of your stash - don't some of the psychoactive compounds get trapped in the liquid?) But at any rate, a beer bong is not really a bong at all, is it?
