How long did it take to discover the hidden porn room? My wife and her roommates lived in the same place in Ann Arbor for two years and a week before we moved away I realized that the local party store (to use the regionalism) had a giant room of porn behind a curtain.

Tuomas, the "Free <person" t-shirt is a common meme of Western civilization usually referring to an imprisoned individual. In recent years, it has been used on the interwebs and in some groups to refer to celebrities or musicians who have been imprisoned, rather than those who are imprisoned due to political crimes or those believed to be falsely imprisoned.
This has also been widely parodied or appropriated, as with the "Free Earl" shirts referring to Earl Sweatshirt, rapper of the Odd Future collective.
Lohan has been imprisoned, although only temporarily, and is on probation. It is up to you to determine whether the shirt is literally protesting her imprisonment, or making an ironic statement about her life and these shirts as a trend.
