Eep! Hope it looks worse than it feels.

Think my nose is so wrecked cos I was wearing sunglasses and they got powersquished into my face. Was kind of cool watching them stitch it up once they anaethetized it. Also got to eavesdrop on the guy in the bay next door to me who had come into A&E with some sort of sex toy stuck in his bottom (couldn't work out what exactly and I got sent off for x-rays before they'd managed to unplug him)

I feel the Stella hangover coming on before I've even finished the first one. It's probably why I don't like poutine...that's what I was drinking the first time I had it.

Worst hangover I ever had was after drinking 8 cans of Stella, although the kebab could have had something to do with it as well.

stella is v sweet, kinda gross, easily swallowed in large quantitates

stella is perfectly acceptable, it's a good klassy-with-a-k thing to order in a dive bar that only otherwise has bud on draught.

Never did get around to trying White Lightening.

see I can (usually, lol) drink quite a bit of stella and be okay - it's stuff like Sierra Nevada that has me bowing out after 1 or 2 because it's so hoppy it gives me a headache while I'm drinking it.

I think I had a Stella once and thought it was one of the most awful things I've ever had; it's got that skunk flavor that I hate about Corona and Heineken.

Also my general beer drinking must be skewed as that article keeps mentioning the 5.2% abv like it's something insanely high.

I had this the one time I was in Rhode Island and it was terrible and I want more of it and I've thought about it ever since (2006?). It's weird to crave a beer that wasn't particularly good in any way.

Choices at the office party (an auction for JDRF, to make it even weirder) were Bud Light, Diamond Bear and Stella.

No way was I drinking Bud Light. Diamond Bear is the local brew that can be hit-or-miss in the same six-pack. Since I was still at work, I went with the refreshing smooth flavor of Stella Artois.

I think America's beer standards are so low, it shouldn't surprise anyone that a wife-beater brew in Europe would be klassy office environment beverage in Little Rock.

i don't know man i really need one though. i have got kinda into it, never having realised that it made any difference to what your hair was like but eventually discovering that it was the key variable in my hair having been shitty for awhile (in a variety of ways, all familiar if you have ever heard anyone describe a meringue, nest-like, fluffy, whipped, &c) (i had bought some AUSSIE shampoo because it had something to do with macadamia nuts, & so you know obviously i want some macadamia nuts, but it was bad). i am back on l'oreal & it is satisfactory but i am struggling to compute the right cycles. i spend time wondering about the alternate back-to-the-future style timelines my hair would be going on if i was occasionally not conditioning, &c. you try to recreate the highs, you wear hats to deal with the lows.

I too am crappy at being ill. Had a bacterial infection in my foot about 7 weeks ago, then just as that healed I got a bad stomach infection that lasted a fortnight, since then I've had a throat infection and the last two weeks I've also had Labyrinthitis, which is really draining and makes me really anxious. And the meds don't allow me to drink alcohol at all.

Will post up happy face in the WDYLL October thread when I'm right!
