Curt (cgould), Monday, 12 April 2004 03:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan, it's listed on AMG as an LP w/ 7 songs. Some ILMer listed it on their recent purchases once and he emailed me asking me if I wanted to buy it. Then I gave a vague reply because I was broke at the time and he never got back to me. The Monitor album (which I haven't mailed yet) actually sounds kinda like the one Del-Byzanteens song I've heard.

Sonny A. (Keiko), Monday, 12 April 2004 03:54 (twenty-one years ago)

and echos from times of the green journey by ar & machines

that's the compilation on polydor. aka "echoes aus zeiten der grünen reise" - also, "die grüne reise" is the first a.r. and machines album, "echo" is the second.

(definitely look for the german titles - his stuff seems to be more in demand with germans.)

that zipper album is the nuts. cole managed to sound like dave thomas doing a robert plant imitation, it's ridiculous and great.

i've been looking for the maru sankaku shikaku box, too. did anyone, anywhere buy that? and the first album by black vial (not one of the de stijl releases).

How do I browse someone's files? Whenever I do a search for Moonshake at the moment I end up with nothing but the Can song. I've just paid the $5 in the hope this will help. Also I don't know what the cover looks like coz I never owned it - a friend of mine taped it for me in 1991 but the cassette is a bit crap now.

I have been trying to find that as well! :(

I have the Moonshake CD, will try to rip it tonight for you. My username is barflyjello. (dubstar78 should recognize me!)

Someone please share the entirety of Snatch's "Pandemonium" LP. Also as far as I can tell there is a whopping ONE person out there with anything at all by the band I, Ludicrous. Considering the number of releases they have, this is pathetic.

Actually Jamie, you don't have to add someone to your list to browse their files. If they appear anywhere in your transfers window you can just right click and browse them that way.

Bimble (bimble), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Jamie, you can also search moonshake -can which ought to reject any Can songs.

Mr. Tony Plow (Leee), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm having great problems browsing other people's files, keep getting file error a lot - even when trying to browse my own. I have had some people getting stuff off of me though, odd.....

tremendoid (tremendoid), Sunday, 9 October 2005 18:45 (twenty years ago)

Yes, they are one size fits all! :)

Yeah I kinda wanted to hear Pretenders' Cuban Slide, too, actually. I was thinking of seeking it out recently but I didn't get around to it or something.

I've failed to find anything by this late 70's UK punk band called Sore Throat. The only thing that ever comes up is some other punk thing by the same name that has a silly album title to do with Sid Vicious or something. At this point, curiosity might just kill the cat and I might have to spring for a sample of them on vinyl. They had an album called "Sooner Than You Think" and a couple of singles. My book here says they tried "horns and dance rhythms before they became fashionable" which is what got me excited enough to seek them out.

Wow, I started this thread over two years ago! WEIRD...

anyway, someone please help me find Ralph Stanley's Almost Home - I've had it on my wishlist for ages but it NEVER turns up. How come I can get the Index LP which came out in an edition of 100 copies in the 60s but not a CD you could have bought at Tower Records five years ago?

I'd GLADLY buy this CD, but the cheapest I've found it is like $35 for some reason. There's also an unscrupulous eBayer with it for sale but I won't buy it from him on principle (too expensive anyway). Can anyone help a brother out?

Also, not nearly as important, but I also can't find any Dark Horse (you know, the dude form Driver 23 / Atlas Moth - all I'm getting is lotsa Sir George, natch), that new Arthur comp curated by Josephine Foster, the new White Magic or any Jason Isbell stuff. WTF, slsk?? You used to be cool.

This track is giving me a reason to live and I can't find it anywhere!

mehlt, Saturday, 13 October 2007 14:56 (eighteen years ago)

Francis Plagne - Idle Bones, seriously does this album even exist. I've built it up as the lost heir to the throne of Song Cycle in my head. Now I just need to hear the bloody thing!

I know, right?, Saturday, 13 October 2007 17:13 (eighteen years ago)

FFW - Weirdelic

It's for my brother. Anyone else remember them?

mei, Saturday, 13 October 2007 18:26 (eighteen years ago)

i can email you that soul capsule when track i get back home on monday, mehlt. if you want the whole aspect music CD, let me know.

elan, Saturday, 13 October 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

oh and don't try to email me because my email on here is bogus

Karen Finley - "Lick It (No Afro Sheen mix)"

Stevie D, Saturday, 13 October 2007 21:11 (eighteen years ago)

I was able to finally get it, but only at 175kbs (vbr). As it seems, the only way you can seemingly find it is if you put neither "law of grace" nor "soul capsule" in the search.

mehlt, Saturday, 13 October 2007 21:38 (eighteen years ago)

Wikipedia claims that EMF covered "Train in Vain," but Soulseek refuses to confirm this.

The Good Dr. Bill, Saturday, 13 October 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)

i just found the minus two (or -2 - the terminals minus crook and stapleton) thing. but that's only because someone in the new zealand room on slsk specifically told me they had it, i think it'd be impossible to find as a search.

The Go! Team - Proof Of Youth

It's bizarre, I've never had a problem finding a new release before like this.

Fastnbulbous, Friday, 23 November 2007 18:25 (eighteen years ago)

maybe you should just buy it.

ian, Friday, 23 November 2007 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

or just download another copy of their first album

blueski, Friday, 23 November 2007 18:39 (eighteen years ago)

haha. I can't find a song buried on some mix that i think is called "catch me if you can" that has a girl singing about a 'sambaman'. closest i've got is some shitty hard trance remix of it. also anything by ted gardestad.

tremendoid, Friday, 23 November 2007 22:16 (eighteen years ago)

anything by tunng

(both for nostalgia purposes)

roxymuzak, Sunday, 25 November 2007 00:31 (eighteen years ago)

waht?

Well, you can search for video files on SoulSeek as well as mp3s. And that particular one I've searched, literally, the entire Internet for to no avail.

Mr. Snrub, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:22 (eighteen years ago)

I saw the pilot (it's the one that's basically the first UK Office) and I don't remember any ELO.

Pleasant Plains, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:25 (eighteen years ago)

I know. I'm talking about the "rough cut" version of it that was leaked to the Internet in 2004 almost a year before the actual March 24 2005 broadcast on NBC. For more information, see here and here

four weeks pass...

Is it me, or is any track, even big ones that been featured in a mix completely unavailable on its own on soulseek?

I've been trying o find a non-mix version of Mispent Years by Schatrax. Impossible. . .

mehlt, Monday, 24 December 2007 03:33 (eighteen years ago)

i used to have the schatrax album (or was it a comp?) on cd but think it got lost when i moved back home from university. i think it was just called 'schatrax'. mispent years was on there in un-mixed format. it *must* be knocking around on slsk somewere...

sam500, Monday, 24 December 2007 04:08 (eighteen years ago)

you just have to let it search for a long while

1 week

elan, Monday, 24 December 2007 04:16 (eighteen years ago)

and speaking of which it's just cropped up on the sascha funke 'boogy bytes' mix i'm currently listening to. in that dastardly mixed format!

sam500, Monday, 24 December 2007 04:17 (eighteen years ago)

and what a great tune it is.
