Insane Clown Posse Fans. No, they really do exist, BITCH. My question is.....WHY, JUGGALOS!?

A cow-worker started a conversation with me about bands.
He began extolling the virtues of Metallica (okay...), Slipknot (huh!?) and The Insane Clown Posse (wtf!?).
Rather than having to stomach that, I tried to slyly turn the conversation towards GWAR. I thought that would work, because, hey, someone whos fave bands are Metallica, Slipknot and The Insane Clown Posse. Right? RIGHT!? I mean, shit, all Slipknot is a bad GWAR knockoff and ICP is just GWAR with any "Metal"-ness sucked out.
Instead, he rudely and loudly denounced the Skumdogs of the Universe in favor of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Fucking Dope and the jackoffs in Slipknot.
So I hand it over to you, ILM, to set this boy straight.

Subthreads:
1) Taking Sides: GWAR vs Slipknot vs ICP (though it really is a foregone conclusion, I ask the question anyway.)
2) Insane Clown Posse, Why So Bad and Still Not Hated Enough?
3) Didn't Wu-Tang render ICP irrelevant?
4) Ronald McDonald could kick Shaggy 2 Dope's sorry ass. Prove me Wrong!

Not to pick nits here, but wouldn't form dictate that the word "Bitch" appear in this thread title?

"cow-worker"

I stopped reading after that word (Dan Perry), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

That's cow-workers for you.

Xpost - dammit

Wooden (Wooden), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, DJ Perry, I was still a little miffed. But for once, this coworker actually does have a rather bovine quality to his appearance.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

It's an honour to die for GWAR. I wouldn't piss on ICP or Slipknot.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

"Ronald McDonald could kick Shaggy 2 Dope's sorry ass. Prove me Wrong!"

I find Ronald McDonald quite terrifyingly sinister.

Wooden (Wooden), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Side note: Is Shaggy 2 Dope the goth posuer version of Ronald McDonald?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, minus the terrifying sinisterness.

Wooden (Wooden), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Governments worldwide might want to consider starting a musical eugenics program, starting with your "cow-worker".

Okay, if there's a Moderator on this thread, please randomly add the word "bitch" and the word "Juggalo" to the thread title.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Wouldn't ICP/Slipknot fans merely shriek and throw feces at their monitor screens instead of posting a "rebuttal"?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Will that do, Custos?

OK, I'm off home, now.

Pashmina (moderating a bit) (Pashmina), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm. Maybe the "Juggaloes" needs to go. It makes the question not-make-sense anymore.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

NB the comma, Custos, "why, juggalos?" as opposed to "why juggalos"

Howabout this...
Insane Clown Posse Fans and Juggalo Ninnies. No, they really do exist, BITCH. My question is.....*WHY*!?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

'coz the whole thrust of my question is that I know Juggalos/ICP Fans exist...I just want to know WHY they exist. I don't see the attraction. Someone please EXPLAIN it to me.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i never understood the appeal of insane clown posse myself. but i guess it says something that all the juggalos i have encountered have happened to be either: a. 14-16 years old b. stoners c. meth-addicted trailer trash or d. all three.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 13 September 2004 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I might've told this story here already once before, but when my brother worked at a record store a few years ago, the day a new ICP record came out, whenever some 12-year-old kid would come in to buy it, he'd grin and ask them if there were a juggalo, and they'd look down and shyly reply "yes, I'm a juggalo".

Al (sitcom), Monday, 13 September 2004 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah shaming 12 yr olds is hilarious

artdamages (artdamages), Monday, 13 September 2004 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

They appeal to 12 year old kids because they wear crazy costumes and sing about wrestling and sex and use the kind of language their parents told them never to say.

All males who like ICP must, by law, have an almost-grown mustache. That kind where it's just starting but you've never shaved before so you just pretend it's not there.

David Allen (David Allen), Monday, 13 September 2004 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Al (sitcom), Monday, 13 September 2004 17:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I bought the first album years ago to see what the big deal was. It was GODAWFUL - I sold it back, and all I remember is "She probably took a big greasy ass smelly shit", "First day out and I caught my nut", and a pre-fame Kid Rock on one of the tracks. Those were the best parts and they were terrible! Did they ever get any better?

Insane Clown Posse
Carnival of Carnage
Rating ***
1992
Review
by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The Insane Clown Posse introduced themselves to the world (well, at least Detroit) with their debut album, Carnival of Carnage. It pretty much spelled out their ludicrous sex'n'drugs'n'crime'n'murder'n'Faygo'n'racism manifesto in no uncertain terms, since subtlety was never part of their agenda. All ICP wants to do is rock the house as if they were a third-rate Beastie Boys supported by a cut-rate Faith No More, all tempered with the sensibility that made GWAR cult heroes -- only with, you know, more sexism and jokes that are supposed to be street, but wind up sounding racist. So, Carnival of Carnage delivers exactly what it promises. If you're down with the ICP -- if you're a juggalo (funny how close that is to "jigaboo," isn't it?) -- you'll find that this album got them off on the right track. If you're not with them, this will certainly give you reasons to hate them.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Monday, 13 September 2004 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

The entire reason why ICP works is due to Mike E Clark, who does NOT appear on _Carnival Of Carnage_ (which has two good songs, "Wizard In The Hood" and "Red Neck Hoe", one of which is only "good" because of the sheer audacity in making the hook to your song "Bitch, you's a hoe/And hoe, you's a bitch").

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Monday, 13 September 2004 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Both _Ringmaster_ and _Riddlebox_ are much, much better.

Strange how this still doesn't make me want to buy any more ICP.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Monday, 13 September 2004 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

where the hell do you work? If a coworker tried to talk to me about Slipknot I'd report them to HR and get their asses fired.

kyle (akmonday), Monday, 13 September 2004 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I would check out some of the following songs if possible:

From _Ringmaster_: "Murder Go Round", "Who Are You", "The Dead One", "My Fun House", "The Loons", "Wagon Wagon", "One For The Maggots", "Mr Johnson's Head"

From _Riddlebox_: "The Show Must Go On", "My Toybox", "12", "The Killing Fields", "The Joker's Wild", "I'm Coming Home", "Cemetery Girl", "Three Rings"

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Monday, 13 September 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Defense, from a non-Juggalo.

ICP had a great track early in their career called "Southwest Ghetto Zone." Generic slanging and banging lyrics about SW Detroit, but the beat sampled the synth line from "Do ya think I'm Sexy" and ripped.

Best lyric: I've got my nine in my gut and its starting to hurt/where can you keep a gat wearing Skidz and a t-shirt."

I think this is when the whole "Wicked Clownz" schtick was in its infancy.

exchange in the lunch room last night...
As I'm getting coffee from the vending machine, Jeremy (the ICP/Slipknot fan) comes in to get more fritos.
Under my breath I start singing "I'm just a juggalo/ and everywhere I go/ no-one knows the part I'm playin'/ got a lotta sass/ an' Faygo up my ass..."
at this point he stops me and mutters "David Lee Roth is a Douchebag."
I say "Yeah, he gives me that 'not-so-fresh' feeling too."
Jeremy laughs and goes back down the cow-chute.

So...does all of Roth's post-VH work give you all that 'not-so-fresh' feeling?

three weeks pass...
You people are all hilarious in my book. First of all you are all making fun of something that you know little to nothing about. The topic started off as a question about GWAR, Slipknot, Metalica and ICP, if I am not mistaken, but somehow has not intertained either Metalica or Slipknot... not even GWAR anymore but instead has focused on the Insane Clown Posse and you all making fun of them. They have claimed to be the most hated band in the world for about ten years or so and I laugh everytime I get on the net and that is always confirmed, then I laugh even harder because ALL OF YOU that hate them think they actually care. There albums are going gold and platnum, do you really think they care what someone on the net thinks? They (namely Shaggy 2 Dope aka Joey Utsler) told Sharon Osbourne (a giant in the music business) to "buff my pickle" on the Howard stern show and when she said, do you realize who you are talking to they said yeah, we do. She said she would get their videos not played and get them taken out of magazines, but they already arent there. They ain't on MTV or any other show that is mainstream. They have done everything that they have without any help and I respect the hell outta them for that. Before you go posting and making fun of people you should know about them. It takes more talent than you think to listen to their music, yeah, they have a lot of funny songs... but they also have some really deep messages IF YOU LISTEN TO THEM, but as they said themselves... you are either with us of forget us. And as another band from the same label said in a song, "Don't let the others get a taste, and if they start to bump this go and smack 'em in the face... you's a band wagon rider giving Juggalos a bad name, we'll fxck you up for that, this ain't no fxckin game"... also... welll, no, you don't deserve anymore lyrics. I'm done.

It took me years to understand the clowns and their music. It is something that you will not get from a message board, you will only know why and what that is if you listen with an open ear and dig into every lyric and meaning.

That's it.

I found this link here for all of you that keep quoting me on my statement that it takes more talent than you think to understand the clowns. Go to this link here:

http://www.paoracle.com/?archive=92

read over it and then let me know what you think about not taking any talent. I mean, I don't want to compare there music to the bible or anything, but a good analogy is the way Jesus used parables to talk to people. He used these stories to teach, but if people didn't understand the stories then they were just good stories. However, those that understood them and the deeper meaning to the stories, they got a lot more out of it than the average joe. Some people listen to the music and understand, others don't, just like our homie Jesus.... he was smart, and the reason he taught in that manner was so that people who didn't understand, wouldn't be punished. Now that is not why the clowns use their music this way, they are trying to reach a group of troubled youth by the harsh lyrics. They know that they have a righteous message and that is why they don't care what people have to say most of the time... that is why I don't. I know what the music is all about, and if you took the time, maybe you might dig it too... if it ain't your cup of tea, then hey, don't buy it.

Sorry for such a long post.

Actually that is a group outta NY that has nothing to do with ICP. You think you are funny... you should check that group out too... they are okay, but the head guy from that group is called Ill Bill and his solo topped charts a few months ago. He is an up and coming artist with a lot of talent and a lot of things to say.

Saint D. Mac (Saint D. Mac), Monday, 11 October 2004 06:47 (twenty-one years ago)

The message of the band was to have faith and hope in God, more broadly, in being a good person, so when you die you do so without regrets. Innocence was the aim of Shangri-La, for instance, we saw that in the story of the Butterfly, told by ICP member Violent J. Quite ironic that this was the message of those years of dirty, immature and violent lyrics, isn't it?

Why don't you just listen to Evanescence or POD or Creed then, you fucking twat?

AaronHz (AaronHz), Monday, 11 October 2004 06:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Now we result to name calling to get a point across?

It is the act of a very immature person and one that obviously doesn't have any real message here in your simplistic attemt at a post here.

Oh, and uh, Evanescence is good, I listen to her, but I think POD is very stale to me... when did I ever say that I listened to ICP either?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 11 October 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

that site that saint d mac linked to is really interesting.

The album's last story is again about love lost, a man whose wife dies spends his time in remorse firing projectiles into the sky in an effort to kill the angels for taking away his wife. Eventually he does hit his wife, to bring her down from the heavens and ask her why she left him. Very, very disturbing. Of course, the dead angel doesn't give him any answers.

this sounds like it should be a nick cave song.

"Psychopathic"

The ghettos of America are breeding grounds
For the criminal minded
As for years they have killed one another of
And America has enjoyed its creation
But now these ghetto-minded criminals
Have crossed the line into your neighborhood
And will soon give you a taste of the hell
That they have lived for so long
So pops, this time its your son gets shot
Deal with your own creation
Well, I've been to the storm house and then some
Payed me dues but I'm still a street hoodlum
Dropped out of school cuz I couldn't find my locker
Stubbles on my chin, I got hair like Chewbacca
Might see me sleeping on the street
Don't look for a job cuz there's no jobs looking for me
Then it all went to my head
Next, forty-nine motherfuckers dead
Tell the pigs I did it
Place spot at your back
And beat you in the head with it
And keep your bitch in place
Or I'm a send her ass home with a foot print on her face
Uh, I'm hating sluts
Shoot them in the face, steb back and itch my nuts
'Less I'm in the sac
Cuz I fuck so hard it'll break they back
All the pressure's packed into one nut
I was waiting on a bus and my head blew up
And the sight'll make ya sick
Violent J, motherfucker, psychopathic

Psychopathic

Thought you know bitch
The ICP is made up of psychotic
Demented psycho clumsy motherfuckers
And we'll put a hook on your bumb leg
Like it ain't nobody's business

So I'm standing by the train tracks
Then you see me running but naked with a battle axe
I'm swinging and slicing and chopping and cutting and..
Aah, until I'm nothing
Seems like I always get beat down
Like the hawk turned to the wicked clown
Tail turned out to the ghetto cuz
Southwest Detriot is comended one's home
So you might see me at a festival
Cussin', rude, and scratching my testicles
With a cold two-liter in hand
Rapping to the bitch at the french fry stand
Take it to the Patent Park
Then I'll make a sexist remark
Cuz they're all eventually bitching
Serve me fucking take your ass to the kitchen
Police don't like me it's obvious
Just don't look in the trunk
Or the sight'll make you sick
Violent J, motherfucker, psychopathic

[theme from "Halloween"]

Yeah, I've always been a psycho
Psycho-psycho-sick-psycho-sick-psycho-psycho
I'll throw rocks at stray dogs
Build crackhouses out of Lincoln logs
I cut class, said I was a faker
You was in school, I was home watching Green Acres
Now I'm all up in your face
You can barely hear the rap with all that bass
I'm running with a southwest street gang
And I never let my southwest meat hang
Cuz you know what ICP's all about
Take a brick off the street
And bust you in the mouth
Find the girl's daddy's rich
And his sweet little angel's my sewer freak bitch
But I filled the turkey up with the stuffing
Like Billy Bill say, "a bitch ain't nothing"
Grab her by the arm and break
Grab her by the life and take it
And, ya know, the sight'll make ya sick
Violent J, motherfucker, psychopathic

Psychopathic

Insane Clown Posse claim to have been visited by the spirit of the Dark Carnival. This showed them six revelations, each one in the form of a Jokers Card. Each Jokers Card is more than an album... it is a warning. Each one has a specific message telling people to change their evil ways before "the end consumes us all". No one knows what this end is... The end of the Jokers Cards, the end of ICP, or "the crumbling of time itself". But whatever it is, humanity should prepare, because the Sixth and final Jokers Card is coming...

jhoshea (scoopsnoodle), Tuesday, 13 September 2005 11:11 (twenty years ago)

What I think it means to be a juggalo.
Being a juggalo means more than juss wearing ICP shirts and buyin the cds. Its stickin up for who you are. i mean check this shit out for an example. if a 2pac fan sees another 2pac fan gettin they ass beat they juss shrug it off and say "glad i ain't that guy" but on the other hand a juggalo sees another juggalo gettin whooped then they jump in there and help out family. if one juggalo gets hurt its effects everyone. but like lets say a 2pac fan dies then you know they don't do shit. but i mean i was new to where i live now, and i was a juggalo when i moved here, i had no friends knew nobody. on that first day of school i had over 20 friends. juss because they liked the same shit. i mean that right there is helping people out. if you don't think it is i don't know what the hell you are thinkin. i mean yeah when i get made fun of i get down. but my juggalo family is there to pick me up. its like a real true ass blood related family. i get MORE love from juggalo family than from my real family. ive never had any more friends than i do now. i love being a juggalo and never do regret it. i think being a juggalo is the best thing in the world. ICP and the WHOLE Psychopathic family has brought me alot of good shit in my life. I have earned so much respect from being a juggalo. I used to be a whimpy little kid that used not to stand up for himself but now that i am a juggalo ICP in there lyrics has taught me how to do it. but there is like 3 stages to a juggalo. stage one is the begining it is when you first become a juggalo. you don't know what the fuck is goin on and this is all new light to you. step two is when you finally realize what the hell you are now and what family is to you. you start collecting cds and merchandise. stage three a TRUE juggalo. you now go to shows and go to instores and everything to do with Psychopathic Records. then you actually know what the hell is goin on and now it is coming through to you for what you are and why you converted to
being a juggalo. that is my perspective on being a juggalo. those are my words to new juggalos old juggalos young juggalo every juggalo. Thank you family to take the time to read this.

Baaderonixx and the choco-pop babies (baaderonixx), Tuesday, 13 September 2005 13:18 (twenty years ago)

It's a restatement of adolescent tribalism that's been rampant in American culture since... well since at least the 50s and probably earlier. (See the advent of teenage gangs, for example, or the entire goth movement.)

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 13 September 2005 13:21 (twenty years ago)

You, sir, are CORRECT!
It reminds me of the time I managed to make a presentation on the goth movement, its tribalist ramification, etc., AND illustrate my points with some selected tunes. My 'intro' music was Bela Lugosi...

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 13 September 2005 13:38 (twenty years ago)

Look, I empathize with taking solace in the sense of community forged by collective fandom of a band. I feel a similar affinity with fans of my particular favorite artists.

But the facts remain: INSANE CLOWN POSSE ARE RIDICULOUS, MAKE BAD MUSIC AND ESPOUSE FLAGRANT, INDEFENSIBLE, UNFUNNY IDIOCY AT EVERY TURN!

stage one is the begining it is when you first become a juggalo. you don't know what the fuck is goin on and this is all new light to you. step two is when you finally realize what the hell you are now and what family is to you. you start collecting cds and merchandise. stage three a TRUE juggalo. you now go to shows and go to instores and everything to do with Psychopathic Records. then you actually know what the hell is goin on and now it is coming through to you for what you are and why you converted to being a juggalo.

I never thought I'd say "In the defense of ICP"...

But, you know, in the defense of ICP, it's not like you guys are forced to listen to them. It's a bunch of hatred for a band that's music is/was never on the radio or MTV. They're not a threat to anyone or anything. They're a nonentity in our world, and thus, the absolute easiest targets.

Unless you work at a club and have to scrub Faygo off the fucking wall.

I still stand completely by my statements about Ringmaster and Riddle Box upthread. Anyone who dismisses them as mindless idiots hasn't really heard all that much of them. Ian Riese-Moraine: Let this bastard out, and you'll get whiplash! (Eastern Mantr, Tuesday, 13 September 2005 15:56 (twenty years ago)

Juggalettes are much more likely to flash their breasts than emo girls.

What the fuck is your probablem with the Insane Clown Posse! I'm one of those ninjas thats been down with the clown since back in the day. I remember when Carnival of Carnage was brand new. I've spent my life chillin' with my hommies and smoking blunts. Almost half my life is over and the I.C.P. was and still is the only thing I have to relate to, so if you hate them, you hate my life.

What the fuck, how can Insane Clown Posse knock off Gwar? They are tottaly different in both appearences, style of music and number of group members. Don't get me wrong, but i have never been to a GWAR concert where they came out with juggalo paint on thier faces. But i do see you're point with Slipknot. and to keep people from wondering, change that "cow-worker" thing, unless you were talking with someone who works with cows.

Bash, Friday, 7 April 2006 16:49 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, I don't see how you could possibly confuse Kiss Alice Cooper Slipknot Ugly Guys In Makeup/Masks That Will Totally Piss Your Uptight Parents Off Gwar with ICP. ICP IS A TOTALLY NEW THING THAT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE EVER.

Deric W. Haircare (Deric W. Haircare), Saturday, 8 April 2006 16:32 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think its that people confuse ICP and GWAR...people assume ICP and GWAR are somehow in the same league.
They're not.
One group is mere servants of a Dark Circus.
The other are world destroying conquerers.
Notice the difference in the heirarchy.
Why have the Juggaloes not realized that they are merely worshipping the minions when they could, instead, die for the greater glory of their scumdog masters? Eh?

People that dont like ICP,
Your opinion is the same as most of the rest of the world. Why do you care about them enough to waste your time ripping on them? They have a remarkable story on how they got to be who they are(no not stoners with face-paint).They sell gold and platinum cd's without any help from a major record label(psycopathic records), radio play, or tv play. Their songs have underlying meanings that are obviously not being heard by most the people on here. If you listen to the songs without thinking. Then you dont catch what is really being said.

The Best, Friday, 21 April 2006 00:34 (nineteen years ago)

"Their songs have underlying meanings that are obviously not being heard by most the people on here."

Guess who's coming to your big town?
Jugglin jesters, kick-it clown
Circus sound, painted frown
Carnival of carnage creeping round
I'm Violent J and I'm sick
They try to run me down
But you know I'm too slick
And I slip and slide like a slinky
Slip and slide with my twinkie
Welcome to my world
As it winds and it twists
I'm a kick a funky little rhyme that you missed
Boo loo chewy wewwy doo boo
And you'd be fucked up if that was really voodoo
Come see the one at the show of your life
See me breathe fire and swallow a knife, right
I ain't swallowing nothing, Jack
But I can juggalo like you never thought you'd ever know
And we packin that funk
With a snap and a clap and a jump jump
So chicky chicky freak if ya wanna be down
Step on up
And kiss the clown
And kiss the clown
Kiss the clown
On up and kiss the clown
Step on up and kiss the clown
Stop the bus
Violent J comes out
Barrels to your face
And blow your fucking face off
Cause you know my mind is golden oh
Happen to catch me a Beverly show
Body fell asleep but my mind goes on
Welcome to the world of juggla's dome
First day I enrolled at the high school
Butt-naked with a axe
Wow, he's so cool
Stand up and say your name, tell us about yourself
My name's 2 Dope and I cut necks all to hell
Dylan, Dylan, I'm trying to find Dylan
I'm finna cut his throat with a carny carny killin
Rich boy never seen a ghetto jokero
Slap you in the head with a sledgehammo
Sorry Dylan didn't mean to knock ya
Then I stuffed his dead body in my locker
To the next class don't wanna be late
Finna ask Brenda on a little date
I heard this bitch likes to fight in clubs
Took her to a mud match threw a pair of gloves
Wants to get her ass beat by a fat dyke
And left the muddy ass bitch there for the night
Woke her in the morning, threw her in the trunk
Threw her in the trunk, cause the dumb bitch stunk
How you doing Brenda?
Mind if I bend ya?
Over rover, do me like Gumby
I'm sure you'd like that, you little skank
And when I finished
I stuffed her fucking head in the fish tank
Awww that's a beautiful aquarium
Yeah, you wanna see it
Hey come here bitch
Oh God it's lovely
Yeah, yeah, yeah have a closer look
Die bitch what's up?
What are you a lung fish?
What's up aqua man?
Die bitch die
That's right, bitch
Back to the school
Fat bitch in the locker
Couldn't fit her booty in
So I cut her booty off
Sometimes I feel like I'm already in hell
Throwing up children on Del Ray smell
Fuck those fucking fucks, uh
Rich fucks, man, fuck those fucks
Beverly Hills is Beverly Kills
I'm gonna bring ghetto carnival thrills
Where's that other little rich little fag
Looking for Brandon cause we can't stand him
I know my boys make the bass go boom
But shhh, you can hear jacking off in the boys room
Aww, aww, Dylan
Aww I want your anus
Aww, you're so hot
Kicked in the stall
Then I kicked in his jaw
Kicked him in face
And I kicked in his balls
Punk tried to run but he couldn't try to wobble
Bust him in the head with an empty Faygo bottle
Took him to the staircase
Jumped on his face
Road him down the bumpy chase
Can I hear him breathe one last note
Stuffed his back down his throat
Back to the locker
Boy oh, boy oh
Back to the locker
Stuff the fucker!
Back to the locker
Boy oh, boy oh
Back to the locker
Fuckin stuff that fucker!
Walking down the hall and I'm feeling like the shit
Cause all that's left is one skank ass bitch
Kelly, Kelly, your neden's kinda smelly
Funk down your legs, and up to your belly
But I'm with Del Ray
So funk don't fade me
Let me hit it man
You're finna kick the can (Sugar)
Come on, bitch, man
You're getting ready to die anyway
Bitch, calm down
Let me get a little poontang
You know what I'm saying
Let me get a little trip, bitch
You finna die
Okay, cause I'm not a raper
But you still make morning paper
Kelly found dead in her bathroom
Naww, Kelly found dead in her dad's room
No, Kelly found dead in her backyard
Cause Kelly choked on a joker's card
Smashed up bodies chilling in my locker
Kelly wouldn't fit
Chop, chop, chop, chop her
Oh no, principal know what I'm about
Cause one of Dylan's sideburns was sticking out
Oh shit, they chase me
Cause they found the bodies
Now I run my ass off
Yeah they're gettin mad
You can hear them cuss
Didn't look both ways, and got hit by bus
Crunched up under
Tangled in the wheels
Spit me out the muffler
You know how that feels
Lost both my legs so I'm running on my hands

ugly-looking but extremely functional, which is the point of most web sites.

Hi,
I'm a Juggalette (female juggalo for all you who don't know) and I'd just like to say that firstly: I am over 28 and I have a post-grad university degree. So I am neither 13, a boy nor illiterate as most people tend to view the Juggalo family.
Anyway, I've been down with the clown for years and basically I just wanted to say that ICP do have a meaning, as do Twiztid and the whole Psychopathic crew (look 'em up). I won't bother to explain it to you as I think ICP, Twiztid, ABK etc are basically like most other performers in that they are either liked or not depending on the audience. The big schism comes due to their inflamatory lyrics and suggestive allusions and this is exactly what gets them their audience - they relate to their audience on a level that other bands do not and they know this and they play it for all it's worth. That's why they're still around today - over 10 years after they started! They are speaking the language of the 'outcasts', they accept the listeners for who they are and are upfront about the fact that as long as they're getting paid they're happy and as long as they have the love of the Family they're happy.
I can understand how they can be abhorred but I found something in them that I associated with, something in their music that spoke to me and it hasn't stopped speaking to me and I hope it never will.
Also, the funniest thing is that whenever I hear/read negative things about any of the psychopathic crew I am always reminded of the quote "Even Bad publicity is Good publicity"; by constantly slamming these guys and bringing up their names you are continuing the Juggalo epidemic. It would appear you are harbingers of your own doom ;-)

I think that bashing anyone's artistic or musical tastes is definately a sign of immaturity and a small mind. The reason anyone is a fan of any music is because it appeals to THEM. It doesn't have to appeal to you. I love Slipknot, don't really like ICP and can't stand GWAR. Slipknot is just one of the many bands I like...one of the many artistic musical styles that appeals to me, simple as that.

It's true, you know. The one clown guy is actually just Kool Herc dressed as a clown.

And as for the other guy? Remember the Treacherous Three -- Kool Moe Dee, Treacherous Three Clown Guy, and Treacherous Three Guy Who Is Neither Kool Moe Dee Nor a Clown? Well, the second one of those guys split from the group to form the ICP. Kool Moe Dee wanted to come along, but Kool Herc thought their names were too similar, and people would be confused (even if they both dressed as clowns).

I don't know what happened to the third Treacherous Three guy, but I bet he used a shorter name after the Treacherous Three broke up.

kid wants an icp cd (yes, there are folks who listen to icp with a sense of humor, but that is one characteristic distinctly lacking from most of the younger fans--they take it seriously), and the father says, if i buy that for you, your little girlfriend has to show me her pussy.

Ever wish you were a wicked clown? Ever wish you were a white guy who raps? Ever wish you were a fat, white guy, wicked clown who raps? Me either. Apparently these jackasses never got the memo. I first heard them years ago and thought the fad would pass. How long could two assholes with no talent what-so-ever possibly last? Boy did I underestimate the stupidity of today’s youth. You ‘Juggalos’ do realize your idols did nothing more than steal KISS’ gimmick, right? We’ve put up with your retarded lyrics and fans for far too long, time for sweet retribution!

Method of Execution:
This one is tricky. How do you kill someone that raps about fucking dead fat bitches? Well I think the best thing is to let them live. Yes, let them live long enough for their legions of fans to sprout pubic hair and realize just how terrible their ‘music’ is. I expect the rage of years of being subjected to their music will build up inside them and riots will ensue. Did someone order two wicked clowns well-done hanging from a lamppost? Your order is ready.

Are you a recovering Juggalo? Come tell your sorry tale in the forums.

But the facts remain: INSANE CLOWN POSSE ARE RIDICULOUS, MAKE BAD MUSIC AND ESPOUSE FLAGRANT, INDEFENSIBLE, UNFUNNY IDIOCY AT EVERY TURN!

stage one is the begining it is when you first become a juggalo. you don't know what the fuck is goin on and this is all new light to you. step two is when you finally realize what the hell you are now and what family is to you. you start collecting cds and merchandise. stage three a TRUE juggalo. you now go to shows and go to instores and everything to do with Psychopathic Records. then you actually know what the hell is goin on and now it is coming through to you for what you are and why you converted to being a juggalo.

one month passes...
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003121207_insaneclowns12m.html

For several nights last month, a group of thugs with black hooded sweat shirts pulled tight over their heads, including at least one in "angry" clown makeup, terrorized visitors to Pierce County's Fort Steilacoom Park, police say.

The group cried "woo, woo, Juggalo" as they assaulted park visitors with a machete and fists. They stole cellphones, cash and wallets and even threatened to cut their victims' heads off, according to court documents.

So far, two men and a woman have been charged with robbery and assault for their alleged roles in the string of attacks, said Pierce County deputy prosecutor Phil Sorensen. Prosecutors say the suspects claim to be "Juggalos," a subculture that has developed among the fan base of the rap/metal group Insane Clown Posse.

"The violence was gratuitous," said Lakewood police Lt. Dave Guttu. "They [victims] had already given up their stuff and were assaulted anyway."

Two victims suffered broken jaws in the attacks that occurred the nights of June 18-20 and early in the morning of June 21. Another was kicked in the head, and a woman said her attackers demanded that she take off her pants, according to prosecutors.

All of the victims were at the park after it closed, police said.

Guttu said eight to 10 more people are being sought for their alleged roles in the attacks, in which 23 people were injured.
Information

More about the Insane Clown Posse and the band's followers: insaneclownposse.com

According to prosecutors, one of the men charged in the attacks claimed that Juggalo groups are growing in Pierce County — going by the names "Hatchet Riders," "Juggalo Empire" and "Northwest Juggalo Posse."

"The people in the Juggalo group say they're seeing violence on the rise among the Juggalo group," Guttu said.

Anthony Pierce, 29, Crystal Hilliard, 19, and Daniel Barnum, 21, are accused of participating in the park assaults. But, Guttu says, violence is atypical among Juggalos in Lakewood, where the park is located.

Juggalos and Juggalettes — as female fans of Insane Clown Posse are called — are known to dress in black and wear black and white clownlike face paint. According to a statement on the Web site whatisajuggalo.com, the subculture preaches racial tolerance and belief in a religion.

Spokespeople for Insane Clown Posse's record label, Psychopathic Records, didn't return calls for comment Tuesday. The band is scheduled to perform this weekend in the annual "Gathering of Juggalos," a large outdoor concert near Columbus, Ohio.

Victims of the Fort Steilacoom violence reported that one woman was wearing black clownlike eye makeup and other attackers were dressed in black hoodies, Guttu said. One person carried a machete. The Insane Clown Posse is often identified by the symbol of a laughing clown carrying a meat cleaver or hatchet.

Sorensen, the deputy prosecutor, said other people claiming to be Juggalos have been charged in violent crimes.

Guttu said the park, which closes at 9 p.m., had become a popular hangout for Juggalos to drink and smoke marijuana. He advises park visitors to visit the park only when it is open.

So when does Dan change his ILX nickname to "woo, woo, Juggalo"

I would not describe Riddle Box as "difficult" as much as I would describe it as "incompetent" based on my memories of the one listen I gave ICP 19 years ago. Perhaps I would feel differently about it if I listened to it again but I really have no desire to do so. They can't rap! Shaggy 2 Dope can only rap four syllables.

HAHA! Dude. This thread is so hilarious.
First of all, let me tell you that i found this thread on a Google search for "icp without make-up". This seemed interesting. Now, note the fact that it started out with a post that included the word "Cow-worker" in it. Hmm...let's see. What can I say. First of all, that news post thing is just downright HILARIOUS. I'm usually the FIRST PERSON to point out if someone did something wrong and stuff but thats just funny right there. By the way, it is "Woot, Woot" Thats "woo" with a "t". But down to buisiness.

1) So far as ICP goes with being stupid rappers with no talent....
If ICP is stupid, then what are the following?

A. Three Six Mafia
B. Eminem
C. 50 cent
D. Lil' John
E. Bubba Sparxxx
F. Kanye West (I hope I spelled that right)

Does anyone honestly think that they have even a little more talent than ICP? Now seriously, it doesnt take talent to "rap" these days. Throw together some rhyming words and profanity, the ability to talk unbearably fast, and a crowd that'll listen.
ICP and others under Psychopathic Records meet the standards.
Me personally? I like ICP. But thats me. I understand perfectly why people dont like listening to Insane Clown Posse. But I dont want to hear anyone dissing them talking about how "great" other rappers straight from the "hood" are. Because if that happens I will laugh until I asphyxiate and die. (Oh, look kiddies, a big word.) Anyways, another thing is do you know how off topic you people get? My God...it's almost like half the people who post on this thread have an acute case of Attention Deficit Disorder.
Finally, I honestly dont believe that this thread is TWO YEARS OLD AND STILL GOING STRONG! HAHA! Wow. That's a miracle. Then again, it's people like me who contribute and keep it going. Alright. I put in my 2 cents on this entire situation.
Peace.

Yes. Emphatically. (Well, not sure about Bubba Sparxxx)

Now, note the fact that it started out with a post that included the word "Cow-worker" in it.

Amazing how no one ever noticed it before.

Now seriously, it doesnt take talent to "rap" these days. Throw together some rhyming words and profanity, the ability to talk unbearably fast, and a crowd that'll listen.

So much for not sounding stupid trying to defend ICP.

RoxyMuzak© (roxymuzak), Wednesday, 6 September 2006 12:16 (nineteen years ago)

"Obviously, you're not a golfer."
SUPER-SONNEd!

ICP fans aren't worried about such trifling aspects of communications like punctuation/spelling/grammar in general or really even getting what they would like to say across in a way that would not require an Offical ICP Licensed Decoder Ring (it turns the "woot"s into "may Jesus and his teachings be with you!").
and it also turns all profantiy and mentions of Faygo into other forms of Christian worship.

edde (edde), Wednesday, 6 September 2006 16:08 (nineteen years ago)

You idiots! The facepaint, the meth, the feces, it's all a carefully constructed cover-up. The 'bad' punctuation is all Juggacode. Notice how in the fourth line from the bottom the word "Juggalo" is spelled "getjyuggalos". Look at that word closely. Clearly, they're proclaiming their love for the new Joanna Newsom album.

In most of the midwestern states in the U.S local law enforcement as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies consider many "packs" of Juggalos to be gang members. In Illinois, Michigan, Ohio & Wisconsin, arrestees identified as Juggalos are put into the gang database. Most juggalo sets (i.e Wicked Juggalos, Insane Juggalos) are categorized into this group.[citation needed]

Where does the name Juggalo come from? Wikipedia's no help.

Gigolo+juggler=juggalo. Because they are the pimps of the circus, or something.

I eat cannibals, Monday, 28 April 2008 22:16 (seventeen years ago)

This thread doesn't read particularly well on the part of ILM. The google juggalos - googalos if you will -- come off as mostly defensive homophobic 14 year olds, which is probably who they are. But most of the people on ILM come off as totally elitist and not particularly witty in their clown hate. Dan stands above them all.

There's a few things that always get brought up in the ICP discussion that I don't really understand. 1) Their racism. 2) Their rap-metal hybrid thing.

Relating to 1 is it just because they're white? Because they have tons of songs dating back to their first album about how they hate bigots. They have a song called Rebel Flag about how much they hate the confederate flag. And 2 I don't remember them using anything resembling a guitar until way late in the game. And even then it was only sparingly. Mostly they have really weird beats that sample circus music and bugs in the case of Bugz on my Nugz.

Not to defend them, they're mostly awful. But everyone in my neighborhood was into them when I was younger so I definitely became inundated with them.

filthy dylan, Monday, 28 April 2008 23:11 (seventeen years ago)

Today, while driving on US 23 in northern Michigan, I passed a minivan with his and hers juggalo decals on either side of the rear window: blue running juggalo with hatchet and pink running juggalo (with ponytail & hatchet) on either side.

Haha, I just remembered a story. One time this girl I knew in college showed me a picture of her ex boyfriend from high school. It was his senior photo and he was totally decked out in clown paint. Then a few years later I was dating a girl who grew up in the same town those two were from, and she told me that once at some sort of Juggalo function his friends had to stop him from getting clown makeup TATTOOED ONTO HIS FACE!!!

Also, once, the Juggalo's girlfriend tried to blow me on the campus lawn with students everywhere. Compound this with the fact that I'd already shot down a few offers to go off somewhere and fuck.

RabiesAngentleman, Tuesday, 29 April 2008 13:36 (seventeen years ago)

Juggalos just seem by and large to be a bunch of folx who want to hang out, get naked, take drugs, and listen to music, esp ICP, not any kinda large-scale antisocial movement or whatever. Kinda like deadheadism updated for the 2000s.

A couple things:

Re: racism

Part of that, at least as far as I understand it, comes from their refusal to abandon "ninja" for "nigger."

Re: rap metal

I think that was more because of their fans, who tended toward the Korn axis of '90s rock.

Re: Tattoos

I had a friend who had them sign his arm, and then got those signatures tattooed onto him, along with their joker faces. He's since had that covered over with, if I recall correctly, anti-nazi tattoos.

The Dark Carnival is some deep shit to think about, but I very much believe in God too. Believe me I'd rather float in Heaven than drive a wagon after I die, but looking at the life I lead right now, I doubt I’ll be able to. I try to be religious or whatever but I'm just shitty right now. When I get older I'll probably try to get my shit straight. ICP is about bitches, Faygo, Juggalos, and dumb shit. Do I feel like the Noah of today? Naa, I feel more like Noah is the Violent J of yesterday. If I was Noah, I would have changed my name to Juggaloah and built a big ass surf board and surfed my ass all over the planet. Fuck collecting' Lamas and shit.

I saw somebody wearing these pants a the mall the other day. Central Maryland isn't exactly a Juggalo hotbed, even at the malls, so I was pretty excited. The pants were so shiny and new - the hatchet men gleamed in the sun - I feel like maybe it was the guy's first day wearing them. His debut appearance in his $95 trousers.

A "cult-like gang":

CLINTON — A man accused of chopping his mother-in-law to death with a hatchet is a member of the Insane Clown Posse gang, an expert testified Monday.

As Robert Edward Fritts’ murder trial entered its second week, prosecutors introduced evidence linking him to ardent followers of the horror-themed, ultra-violent hip-hop band who have embarked on crime sprees.

Insane Clown Posse gang members live on the edge of society and adhere to an “almost cult-like religion,” said Detective Sgt. Tom Walker, supervisor of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office’s gang investigation unit.

“I believe he (Fritts) is a member of the (Insane Clown Posse) gang,’’ Walker told the nine-woman, three-man Anderson County jury.

Evidence introduced Monday revealed Fritts’ fascination with both the band and hatchets. ...

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/crime/blog/bs-md-tattoo-beating-20140805,0,5506278.story

Two Hebron residents were charged Monday with attempted murder and assault for beating a man, attempting to carve a tattoo from his arm, and setting him on fire, police said. The victim remains in critical condition at a burn center in Baltimore, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said.

The incident occurred Monday just after 1 a.m. on the 7200 block of Rockawalkin Rd. in Hebron, police said. Officials say Paul Martin Hurst, 33, of Hebron and Cary Lee Edwards, 35, of Williamsburg, Va. began beating Zachary Swanson, 31, after an argument in the Hebron residence the three men share.

The suspects then tried to forcibly remove a tattoo from Swanson's arm, police said. After failing to remove the tattoo, the suspects set fire to the victim's arm, police said. The victim was left on the ground for several hours and suffered severe burns, police said, before he was driven to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center and subsequently flown to a burn center in Batlimore.

Both suspects have been charged with first and second degree attempted murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and a deadly weapon charge.

Officials say there is a strong possibility the suspects and the victim are connected with the Juggalos, a group of fans of the Detroit hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse. Police said the victim's tattoo was "consistent" with the fan group, which the FBI has classified as a gang.

It's less an exposé and more of an ICP thesis statement: a beautifully paced, wordless (and, thank god, without music) series of short video portraits of clown-faced juggalos in situ, self-medicating with sex, violence, drugs and family. The visuals owe something to Avedon and Arbus but the ethos is an insider perspective of post-dada nihilism that regularly lights on an unironically detached direct gaze. The guiding spirits are the impassible sadness of hopelessness, the absurdity of modern displacement (the alpaca scene elicited genuine and surprise laughter), the tenderness of shared experience and the haunted house posturing of threat without menace... a briefly glimpsed felony, the breaking of a brick over an unprotesting man's head and a fervent bout of cunnilingus all are presented without impact but not without meaning. More than any other treatise I've seen on the subject, this film portrays Juggalos as profoundly disconnected, half-impotent droogs trading on self-expression to communicate, marooned in a world that is no more or less ludicrous than painting your inner Pagliacci on your face, declaring defeat before they even begin to try.

So beautiful cow (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 15 November 2014 04:40 (eleven years ago)

totally people should watch this if they're curious but just fwiw & as counterpoint i found it kind of a mean experiment & a mainly pretty vapid film; it alternates between indulging the most surface-level gaze at another weird american community, & drifting into the filmmaker's kinda installation-art image making, which is fine (i liked the inking scene) but feels just so limited, to me, like more obnoxiously confrontational weird americana porn that doesn't go an inch beyond what we already know or expect. agree w/ a bunch of what you wrote but to me the icp thesis statement just feels so impressed, like it has the uncritical eye of a propaganda video. maybe because it lives within that thesis statement zone it's fine, i don't know.

also alpaca scene just really bummed me out

schlump, i can see where you might've landed there; I don't feel like a half hour piece needs to be much more than be a surface-level exploration, especially when it's told from the perspective of the beholden.
no idea why the alpaca scene would've bummed you out. they looked pretty and well cared for.

So beautiful cow (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 15 November 2014 16:55 (eleven years ago)

thanks, forks; this was something i both didn't like & felt like an asshole for not liking, & i feel bad wading in here. i saw it in a room of people who were really responsive, & there's something kind of precious about finding it objectionable when it so clearly aligns with who it represents & what it set out to do. i think something that maybe got me was the collision of feeling so tonally indulgent - so including like the abandoned warehouse sequences - & then the formal, kinda presentative strategy of hesitating before each shot, so with the scene of two guys in bed under green light, including this ten seconds beat to separate you from what you were seeing. it felt kind of uncaring to me.

but yeah everyone still can watch this on whatever realmedia gameboy color stream mubi is offering, go for it

schlump, Saturday, 15 November 2014 18:04 (eleven years ago)

i think the juggalo gaze as presented here IS indulgent, self-absorbed, strategic and uncaring. i took as a feature what you took as a bug. i'm certainly not co-signing that worldview but it came through as honest and deeply felt (if philosophically flimsy) and understandably seductive. Like if your inheritance is suburban boredom and urban blight and there's no real war to fight except justifying your existence, why not play at conscientious objector and just check out in a cloud of hedonism and insouciance. Obvs that's always bottom line thinking with ICP types (and with most if not all 20th/21st century middle class youth movements) but stripped of language and the terrible terrible music, this felt like it was making a compelling, if hermetic, argument and one that i hadn't heard made by/for juggalos. i thought it was effective in presenting a serious alternate perspective that's otherwise easy to laugh off.
i hope this guy doesn't do a similar piece on gamergate i guess.

that ten second beat you're referring to was effective for me because it tested your presumptions of what two men sitting alone want, given my own prejudices and what I've seen prior. there's a bit of #notalljuggalos but it also felt like a very real display of shared intimacy, "if you prick us do we not bleed"

here's the article whiney refers to upthread
http://filmmakermagazine.com/86098-my-film-is-not-about-juggalos-it-is-a-juggalo-director-scott-cummings-on-making-buffalo-juggalos/
direct self comparisons to browning's freaks and

I’ve been surprised that many people assume everything in the film is real and I’ve taken to half-jokingly paraphrasing Francis Ford Coppola’s line about Apocalypse Now: “My film is not a documentary. My film is not about Juggalos. It is a Juggalo.” My hope is that through the film the myth of the Juggalo deepens and they become more mysterious, more other and more confrontational.

def good that this guy with an MFA is striving to make poor suburban kids on FBI watchlists "more other"

eh, i put that there in reference as explanation to your quoted article title
i dunno, watch it if you can; I thought it was pretty strong

url/headline should read The Lesbian Queen of the Juggalettes.

Also noticed that Village Voice didn't do a Gathering roundup this year. What has happened to the journalistic standards of that once-great institution?

Somehow managed to miss this. Despite a clown being elected president the Juggalos are going to march on DC in September because they once got called a gang or something? Hope there's a live stream!
