This strange saga inexplicably sucked up about an hour of my day yesterday. Dive in!

Who's sane and who's unhinged? You make the call!!!

ianinportland (ianinportland), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 22:40 (twenty years ago)

would be the greatest movie script ever.

seahorse genius (seahorse genius), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 22:53 (twenty years ago)

I dunno, man, Gerard's point that this person's initial approach never explained who they were, or even that they were an intern at some point, kinda clinches it. If a random band I'd never heard of wanted to be my friend I'd ignore it too. And the intern getting all huffy about a random MySpace tentacle getting ignored = DUD. Obviously I am biased and inclined towards Gerard, but it still seems corny.

Drew Daniel (Drew Daniel), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 22:53 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, I think Cosloy actually comes off far better in that whole exchange (I totally understand him not wanting to be Myspace friends with a band he's never heard) -- although he'd come off even better if he walked away from it all after the first tussle.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 22:57 (twenty years ago)

i was SO hoping this would be an HSTENCIL thrd.

ddb (ddb), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 22:58 (twenty years ago)

i went to message gc on myspace and discovered he had disappeared from my list..assuming as usual that i am hated in th indie rock community i emailed him directly and he informed me of his ms suicide and i thus equally sucked into th strange and hilarious saga, all th dirt is on here..http://fuckyoupayme.blogspot.com/

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:00 (twenty years ago)

Where's Russ?

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:03 (twenty years ago)

i totally agree with drew and jaymc. gc needs to stop appearing in everyone's comment boxes (it looks a little desperate - this is a myspace account request we're dealing with after all), but he's basically right. the girl wasn't even HIS intern!

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:08 (twenty years ago)

Gerard seems nothing but perfectly reasonable throughout the initial exchange. TOTAL corny indie fuckitude from this silly Teeter person. Publishing private email exchange on your blog? Fat jokes?

And seriously, how lame is this 'Jessica Hopper' person? remind me why I'm supposed to care who the fuck she is again?

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:08 (twenty years ago)

u must check out Teeters fake band on pure volume..Ley Royal Scam

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:10 (twenty years ago)

jessica's a really good writer but she's completely off the mark here.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:10 (twenty years ago)

i don't have time right now to read this BUT....

dude, if somebody wants you to add them as a myspace friend, who cares? add away! half the time "adding" a person or a band is more an homage... like i don't know get hustle, but get hustle is a my space friend of my band... i just dig get hustle. plain and simple.

will we all be judged by our myspace pages when jesus comes to save us from raccoon aliens?
m.

msp (msp), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:11 (twenty years ago)

Wait, wasn't Jessica Hopper that infamous "fake riot grrrl" that went on tv talk show all the time early 90s?
What did Dylan say abou this type? "I wan't to set fire to these people".

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:19 (twenty years ago)

Mark P's right about Hopper. I like her blog, and the few published pieces I've read by her have an uncommon panache, but I don't know what she's doing taking sides in this thing.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:25 (twenty years ago)

MAYBE SHE VIEWS COSLOY AS A FATHER-FIGURE THAT MUST BE TOPPLED, EXPOSED AND DESTROYED, REALITY BE DAMNED!!! RIOT!!!

The Argunaut (sexyDancer), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:28 (twenty years ago)

everybody needs a good nonsense internet scandal once in a while. this reminds me of the time mr. fr33dom from verbally duked it out with mr. krs on a certain mailing list. yeah, that was weird.

jjj, are you threatened by toppler-type women? (TS: topplers vs. topless?!?)
m.

msp (msp), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:31 (twenty years ago)

Its almost as good as the EL P vs Scott Seward war that erupted when he dissed th lp in th voice..he got dezeath threatszx and shiozxt

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:37 (twenty years ago)

please tell me that actually happened.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:39 (twenty years ago)

xypost:
I lived in Oly, WA during the "RIOT" and barely escaped with my Rolling Stones records. A certain type there was always quick to identify men w/ authority as "fuckers".
That said, I'm usually attracted to the "toppler" type, topless or not. This is part of the divine balance.

by once i mean ONCE

ddb (ddb), Wednesday, 16 February 2005 23:53 (twenty years ago)

i think teeter's intial request was reasonable [hi i used to intern for your business, please add my band] and gerard's response in which he declined was equally reasonable.

everything else after that is just ridiculousness -- teeter really shouldnt have acted like the spasmatron 3000 and gerard should have just deleted / ignored any of her responses.

regardless, he still comes off as a class act.

but what fascinates me even more: who knew that mark ibold of pavement used the internet? i mean, *everyone* uses the internet so i shouldnt be surprised, but i just am.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:00 (twenty years ago)

mark is th only member of pavement who has shopped in my basement and actually bought stuff,,talk about class act..i was hungry that day

"Oh it happened..EL P dissed his wife and got into it as only a e-ed out white rapper can when dissed in print..Im sure he will regale u w gorys shortly."

I've seen the original review, but I never heard about the fallout. Is El-P's dissing anywhere? Did Scott respond?

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:05 (twenty years ago)

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:08 (twenty years ago)

Drew is pretty much OTM (at the top there). Although, i think part of me thinks GC thrives a bit on his acerbic sense of humor when he's on a roll, hence him not dropping the issue right away. I'm really puzzled why JH really cared about this, unless Teeter was one of her homegirls or something(?). Teeter sounds like an extremely grating parasatic personality to me.

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:13 (twenty years ago)

parasitic even

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:13 (twenty years ago)

I FORGOT TO MENTION, I GOT ONE OF THOSE JON SPENCER PRIZE PACKS...(I SOLD IT)...BUT THX TEETER.

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:15 (twenty years ago)

i know from experience that gc does not like to be unfairly portrayed,he has no problem w valid truxx, but when they start attacking things that are clearly off bounds fangs abounds

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:16 (twenty years ago)

"i think teeter's intial request was reasonable [hi i used to intern for your business, please add my band] and gerard's response in which he declined was equally reasonable."

Maria - Thing is, if I'm following this correctly, Teeter did not identify herself as a former intern until after she had been rebuffed. That little detail makes her response to said rebuff a bit less reasonable in my mind.

ianinportland (ianinportland), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:17 (twenty years ago)

dan, thats perfectly understandable. we cant always send a lawyer out each time someone slanders us.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:17 (twenty years ago)

and the amazing zeal gerard has w a keyboard is unequalled...im startled often that he can run a company w offices in 3 cities, take a billion phone calls, listen to crappy demos, and cross post on a million blogs at once..all th while being funny and incisive and sarcastic

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:20 (twenty years ago)

Anybody who has read the liner notes to the Pavement reissues shouldn't be too shocked by all the GC jibes/comments everywhere.. Gerard Can't Be Stopped (*insert Geto Boys parody cover here*)

None of this touches the Simon Reynolds/Franki Bones throwdown though... hahahahahahaha.

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:21 (twenty years ago)

ian - weird, i read FYPM and from what i could read [small type + atrocious spelling/language = comprehension death] it seemed like teeter introduced herself.

GC did no wrong, introduction or not.

the larger issue at hand is that sites like myspace/friendster/etc don't allow you to specify what your relationship to a person is. its too black and white for a situation that is a huge gray area. you're either a friend, or you're not. id like to see these websites start incorporating tags, so that people know how you're related to each other [tags like "friend", "family", "former classmate", "accquaintance", etc] and spare people the drama of situations like GC's.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:26 (twenty years ago)

i dont as a rule add anyone who is in a crap band..except my own crap band

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:27 (twenty years ago)

dan, on my personal account im choosy like that. on plain parade's account -- whatever. we probably linked to hitler without paying attention.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:28 (twenty years ago)

oh sure hitler..hes ok in my book

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:28 (twenty years ago)

well, we'd say no to hitler. but you get the gist of what im saying, right?

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:30 (twenty years ago)

oh..i just added him..damn

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:33 (twenty years ago)

i get a lot of bands from th midwest that are godawful..i notice that the fake bunnybrains dont have any such filter..so maybe there is a use for them after all

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:34 (twenty years ago)

does anyone remembre the time gerard got into a spat with some hack from the nme and ran rings round him? classic, classic, classic.

stirmonster, Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:35 (twenty years ago)

Dear Dan Bunnybrain:

Thank you so much for your request to add me as your friend on MySpace. However, due to the large amount of requests I receive to be virtual friends with many worthwhile applicants as yourself, I must suspend adding you to my list for the time being. I will certainly reconsider the addition in a future date. Or you can simply remind me in a time frame no less than six months from now. Thank you very much for considering me, and I really wish you the best of friends. :)

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler, Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:36 (twenty years ago)

I can totally identify with GC. I don't 'myspace', I 'friendster' but I only ask people to be my friendster if I have some sort of real connection to them which is why you won't find 'larry hagman' or 'portland' or somesuch goofiness clogging my list of friendsters. Not to say that people who do that are goofy or wrong, it's just that I see that stuff as clutter (and it looks like Gerard does too) and I choose to keep my friendster a bit neater than that.
I've also never been in a position where someone who is not a friend has asked to be my friendster so I might very well buckle under the pressure of 'not making waves' in that case... Hopefully though, I'll be able to say 'no thanks' in as polite a manner as Gerard did.

ianinportland (ianinportland), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:40 (twenty years ago)

Dan, do you have teh G@ys in teh Military ?? They are my peeps.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:40 (twenty years ago)

but anyway, I interned for Touch & Go in the early 90s and there is no way I'd, like, randomly message Corey Rusk, let alone randomly message *without any kind of indentification*. And even if I *did* it certainly wouldn't bother me if he declined. Yeesh, what an attention grab.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:41 (twenty years ago)

you cant be in a gg allin backing band called NY Superscum and not learn any pugilist skills..gerard taught gg where to put th soup spoon

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 00:41 (twenty years ago)

gays in th military dont like me cuz i cancelled a show last year at u of chicago..they went and booked bunnybrains88 and i told them i had nuthin to do w 88 and they told me that maybe at least that incarnation would show up..so i guess i lost 2 fans or sumthing

btw, insound and matador used the same post office and we'd frequently run into their employees there. perhaps i met this teeter.

Is it the low encoding or is Teeter totally being AutoTuned to hell?

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 01:09 (twenty years ago)

Once GC hears "Are You Feeling My Disco," he'll have to apologize and offer Ley Royal Scam a lucrative contract.

stirmonster, Thursday, 17 February 2005 01:19 (twenty years ago)

Possibly incorrect transcription of the hard hitting Ley Royal Scam's "Who's Laughin Now"

i saw the look in your eye
i didn't think you would reply
it's been two years, we've parted ways
why did you have to ruin my day
who's laughing now

you keep spinning me like a merry-go-a-round,
I'm spinning you like a merry-go-round (round)

I waited two years for you
you never came to win me back
I want to stand in for you
a curve hits by love's baseball bat (???)
who's laughing now

you keep spinning me like a merry-go-a-round,
I'm spinning you like a merry-go-round (round)

*soft piano bit than unforeseen sloppy fade back into..*

you keep spinning me like a merry-go-a-round,
I'm spinning you like a merry-go-round (round)

Wow, huh huh.

If Avril sounded more Barbie-esque and used the "Sk8ter Boi" production on all her songs, this approximates the band's sound a bit.

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 01:26 (twenty years ago)

I experienced Conflict nostalgia reading about this, too.

If this is supposed to be some kind of catalog of quarrels -- I remember Cosloy's letters to MRR denying that GG pissed on his leg, and also an angry missive to Spin after Thurston Moore including some material there Gerard had written on a supposedly semi-private email list.

If only this kind of information counted on Jeopardy.

CONTROVERSSIAL 0th3r Mu51c Update WITCH caused HURRIED mTgS held in M4t4t0R officez:

On the new Interpol album much of the ardent cathexis on hand could be said to frequently succumb to an outright lambency. Also improved is the singer's zinc prosody, in that while it can occasionally veer toward the almost logorrheic, this detracts from it only slightly...well, not too much at all actually on this one. That was just at a few points on the last record.

Anyhow, there's a song on Antics called "Take You On a Cruise." Something more like I would want to personally hear from a guitar-driven band these days. It treats the lyrical ellipses and mordant scope of its subject matter as an opportunity to revel in general, confident sway. It might not end up being considered one of the standout songs, but it is indeed allusive of their story: quondam relegated-to-afterthought-by-the-auto-jaded band renewed by, of all things, the process of recording (a proven band-killer in their field).

Surmount the field they have done, but it is with an increasing dexterity. To the degree to where they are perhaps achieving an unmatched air about perhaps even their own expectations for the music. Again this is not the kind of thing rock bands are engaging in much these days: searching for where ambition meets grace. Some who almost appear to then seem to lose their nerve, or break up during recording/touring, and actually with most who cares as they just suck really bad INNA TEENAGER STYLEE. Interpol are now, somewhat shockingly, in a position to show how this can be done right. And they're American! And on Matador, of course. [DHo]

well, it was about time this thread got Jonathanwilliamsed, anyway.

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 05:54 (twenty years ago)

Actually I was commenting on the whole thread.

Fat Anarchy on Airtube (ex machina), Thursday, 17 February 2005 06:03 (twenty years ago)

All those "yr"s are so irritating. Why do people still write like that?

Anyway, Mark Ibold is so cute. And what a sexy band name!

Guitarthur and the Ecstasy Defecators (Arthur), Thursday, 17 February 2005 06:07 (twenty years ago)

If you don't know about the madwoman archetype in music, you will.

The Argunaut (sexyDancer), Thursday, 17 February 2005 06:08 (twenty years ago)

All those "yr"s are so irritating. Why do people still write like that?

but it leads up to cosloy's coinage of "tard-bonics" which is a zing and a half.

eman (eman), Thursday, 17 February 2005 06:45 (twenty years ago)

Ha! I missed that part.

Guitarthur and the Ecstasy Defecators (Arthur), Thursday, 17 February 2005 06:52 (twenty years ago)

Seriously! TARD-BONICS is the single GREATEST THING ANYONE HAS WRITTEN ON TEH INTERNET evah! GC, um, "big up ya chess"!

Stormy Davis (diamond), Thursday, 17 February 2005 07:00 (twenty years ago)

A Viking of Some Note (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:55 (twenty years ago)

Wow, all this because Gerard doesn't think she's a *friend*.

stevie nixed (stevie nixed), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:01 (twenty years ago)

Are they sure she wasn't born in '46 instead of '76?

Leon the Fatboy (Ex Leon), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:22 (twenty years ago)

Don't you mean 96 etc

A Viking of Some Note (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:22 (twenty years ago)

I dont mean that, sorry. I really doubt there're any nineyearold Riot Grrls.

A Viking of Some Note (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:26 (twenty years ago)

I thought you meant 1896!

Leon the Fatboy (Ex Leon), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:28 (twenty years ago)

i predict they will actually become internet friends.

dan bunnybrain (dan bunnybrain), Thursday, 17 February 2005 17:37 (twenty years ago)

Record her, I tell you.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 17 February 2005 17:41 (twenty years ago)

I normally wouldn't rag on people for looking old, but I just find it funny that someone writes like a 12 yr old that's been held back a couple of years in school and who is picking on others for being old looks kind of elderly.

Leon the Fatboy (Ex Leon), Thursday, 17 February 2005 17:44 (twenty years ago)

I'm not sure if Vic Funk's link is the real Teeter, though (although I have no authority to tell or judge, myself.) Then again, I'm guessing she doesn't look like either of the young girls in her blogspot icon either.

She certainly wants to SOUND like a 12 year old girl in her "fake" band though.

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 17 February 2005 20:15 (twenty years ago)

so roffly! My favorite is the "oh i had to take all the promos to prince street p.o. boo hoo." NEXT TIME REALIZE UPS PICKS UP TWICE A DAY, DUMMY.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 17 February 2005 20:44 (twenty years ago)

now i respect GC even more.
teeter's a whiny prick

joan vich (joan vich), Thursday, 17 February 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

but anyway, I interned for Touch & Go in the early 90s and there is no way I'd, like, randomly message Corey Rusk, let alone randomly message *without any kind of indentification*.

Serious. I doubt Jim and Anthony at Minty Fresh even remember me.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 17 February 2005 21:15 (twenty years ago)

NEXT TIME REALIZE UPS PICKS UP TWICE A DAY, DUMMY.

In her defense (and this is pointed out in the comments of GC's blog), it was during the UPS strike of Aug 1997.

I'm not sure if Vic Funk's link is the real Teeter, though

In my defense, there's probably not too many women born in 1976 named Teeter Sperber.

Vic Funk, Thursday, 17 February 2005 22:35 (twenty years ago)

Hey Gang -

Thanks a million for all the posi feedback! Needless to say, none of us imagined the Gerard Myspace request would have spun out into a full-on blogosphere super war, or that people would fixate on my 'unique' stranglehold on the english language. That said, it's done and it was exhausting, although, for all parties, a chance to verbalize some incredibly funny sentiments. Snaps to Gerard for being so quick on the draw.

I'm actually 22 yrs old, that interview was intentionally misleading, I am indeed a good skateboarder and in the songs of my fake band and in speaking voice, I do sound like a chipmunk and have never been able to help it.

Sorry for all the ill-will shooting my way, but such is life, I can take it - seeing as I did inadvertantly bring it on.

Never be able to look at Rotisserie Chicken the same, f'reals -
Teeter Sperber

Teeter Sperber, Thursday, 17 February 2005 22:45 (twenty years ago)

So you were 14 years old when you had to haul those promos to the post office?

In her defense (and this is pointed out in the comments of GC's blog), it was during the UPS strike of Aug 1997.

VIC LEARN TO READ IT WAS ME WHO WROTE THAT. I was the retail intern in Aug. '97, and carried a big bag of promo mailings to Prince Street in the heat. Guess what? I lived.

VIC LEARN TO READ IT WAS ME WHO WROTE THAT.

Sorry d00d. I read the four different blogs that this spat was going on across at the same time, and the names in the comments sections became a blur (the "tard-bonics" didn't help matters with keeping shit str8).

I was the retail intern in Aug. '97, and carried a big bag of promo mailings to Prince Street in the heat. Guess what? I lived.

In her defense, you weren't a 14 year old girl at the time.

Vic Funk, Friday, 18 February 2005 11:17 (twenty years ago)

aw, she's lost her punch now

joan vich (joan vich), Friday, 18 February 2005 11:53 (twenty years ago)

I love that there is now a blog comments box on the Internet with posts by Gerard Cosloy, Jessica Hopper, Mark Ibold, Steve Albini, and Matthew Fluxblog!!

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 21 February 2005 17:47 (twenty years ago)

that isn't actually mark ibold, and i doubt it's steve albini.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:37 (twenty years ago)

Aww :(

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:39 (twenty years ago)

How do you know? Hopper's blog seems to indicate it's Albini, unless I really can't tell all of the jokes hidden under these posts.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:40 (twenty years ago)

1. because i talked to mr. ibold about the "intern controversy" saturday and he didn't know what i was talking about.
2. because i know that mr. albini, if he has time to dick around on the internet, he usually confines it to here, and he usually confines his activity to, like, baseball and recording equipment and fake italian.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:44 (twenty years ago)

Ah, that's good enough for me. Here is where I will now say that I once had a pleasant conversation with Mr. Ibold as he was unloading equipment before a show in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nice dude.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:47 (twenty years ago)

yes, he is a nice dude, and a good tipper.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:49 (twenty years ago)

it was pretty obvious that wasn't mark ibold. and the albini poser was using an albini persona from the late 80s.

donut debonair (donut), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:52 (twenty years ago)

Jandek is a "friend" of my band on Myspace! I saw him, put in the request and he approved it!!! NICE GUY!

B&S, Interpol Soundtrack Baseball Video Game

Matthew Solarski reports:
What is it with indie rock and baseball? White Sox and Cubs hats abound among Chicagoland gig-goers, Insound harbors a borderline neurotic obsession with "Steady" Eddie Murray, and right at this very moment the P-fork brass are agonizing over Fantasy League picks. I mean, bats and guitars are similarly phallic and all, but so are badminton racquets. So what is it? Maybe we all evolved from feverishly collecting Topps and Donruss to feverishly collecting Sub Pop and Matador?

In any case, our baseball lives and our indie rock lives are about to collide in a big way, as 2K Sports unleashes Major League Baseball 2K6 this April. In addition to your typical mind-incinerating graphics, the multi-platform video game features in-game music courtesy of upstanding indie faves like Interpol, Pavement, Guided by Voices, Mogwai, and Belle and Sebastian.

That's a hearty sampling of Matador Records fare, although a few non-Matty acts made the cut as well. Here's a complete list of the artists getting their MLB on: Bear Vs Shark, Belle and Sebastian, Cornelius, DJ Spooky, Early Man, Green Carnation, Guided By Voices, Interpol, Mogwai, Pavement, Preston School of Industry, Stephen Malkmus, Pretty Girls Make Graves, the Double, the Fall of Troy, and Yo La Tengo.

According to Matador, the label simply licensed the songs to 2K after securing artist permission, so don't expect any new tunes or elaborate soundtrack cross-promotions. Also don't expect the ridiculously apropos Belle and Sebastian song "Piazza, New York Catcher", as that little ditty appears 2003's Dear Catastrophe Waitress, put out by Rough Trade and not Matador. Bummer, dudes.

probably not the best thread to revive, jaymc.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 18:09 (nineteen years ago)

Why's that? My commentary on the news item is solely in my choice of which thread to revive.

Eric Carr doesn't still write for PFM, does he? I met him at a Broken Social Scene show once.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 18:18 (nineteen years ago)

Alas, the original "Strnage Saga" link at the top is dead, and I missed this whole affair. But I did meet the woman in question when she was putting on some shows at Northsix maybe 5 or 6 years ago and she was really nice.
