did this happen yet?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:40 (nineteen years ago)

It's tonight.

I went to the website to read the nominations and the fucking thing played Kaiser Chiefs at me.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:45 (nineteen years ago)

Does that mean they've swept the board already then?

Last Of The Famous International Pfunkboys (Kerr), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:46 (nineteen years ago)

the fucking thing played Kaiser Chiefs at me.

wow. that's major dissing, dude. don't let them get away with that !

AleXTC (AleXTC), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:48 (nineteen years ago)

Aye, bastards. Just for that I won't watch the show or give a fuck who won!

Why isn't it chieves, like 'thieves'?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:50 (nineteen years ago)

is it confirmed that prince will play with the revolution ? that only could make me try and tolerate all the horrible acts i expect will be there...

AleXTC (AleXTC), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 17:54 (nineteen years ago)

piscesboy, Wednesday, 15 February 2006 18:02 (nineteen years ago)

wow, piscesboy you truly is a seer.

Prince isn't playing is he? I heard some near hysterical Radio 1 personage near wetting theirselves about it and then saying he wasn't. Very irritating.

And what a depressing list - but who ever looks to The Brits for inspiration? For he who does shall be sorely disappointed.

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 20:56 (nineteen years ago)

James Blunt deserves nothing. Coldplay and Kaiser Chiefs both deserve a lot.

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

Kaiser Chiefs songs sound like bad sea-shanties and Coldplay are the musical equivalent of rivita.

jimnaseum (jimnaseum), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 22:00 (nineteen years ago)

Lemar ffs!

JohnFoxxsJuno (JohnFoxxsJuno), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 22:05 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not sure what Marc Lamarr thought was going to happen when he went to interview Madonna after her award, but I suspect admitting to the nation that he'd done two and half years in prison for selling drugs wasn't it.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 15 February 2006 22:34 (nineteen years ago)

horrible horrible list...

AleXTC (AleXTC), Thursday, 16 February 2006 10:47 (nineteen years ago)

The show itself might be mildly diverting. Could they do a version without those boring "and the winner is" interludes between the songs?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 16 February 2006 10:56 (nineteen years ago)

Further confirmation that Lemar exists so that the Brits don't have to give best Urban to a grime artist.

It's horrid though.
Kaiser Queefs! Gah!
James Blunt? What a...

KT Tunstell said she wanted to share her award with Kate Bush, which at least shows some humility.

I'll tune in for Prince. Thankfully he's right at the start, so I can turn off afterwards.

stew!, Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:27 (nineteen years ago)

It shows just how relevant to music the Brit Awards is, that there are only 15 responses to this thread on an extremely active and very broad music board.

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:34 (nineteen years ago)

unfortunately (or fortunately) i don't see changes anytime soon as it seems these acts are like among the biggest things ever in UK music...

AleXTC (AleXTC), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:38 (nineteen years ago)

Broad and active as it is, I don't think ILM represents the people who get albums to the top of the charts. Take a look at winners & nominees album sales over the coming weeks and you'll see it's relevant to someone. Or take a look at today's front pages.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:38 (nineteen years ago)

Look also at the comments/have your say page for articles about music and the Brits on the BBC website. Practically everybody there is complaining about James Blunt, Westlife, Robbie, even Coldplay. Is there a faction of people out there who bought albums by these artists AND are inclined to defend or enthuse about them ANYWHERE on the interweb?

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:44 (nineteen years ago)

Broad and active as it is, I don't think ILM represents the people who get albums to the top of the charts.

But it shows how uninteresting these acts are that we don't even want to talk about them from, say, a cultural viewpoint.

In fact I feel I'm wasting precious typing time already.

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:50 (nineteen years ago)

You saying we haven't debated J.Bl(o)unt at length?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:52 (nineteen years ago)

Added: Thursday, 16 February, 2006, 08:54 GMT 08:54 UK

I think its been a good year for British music and some of the better artists were awarded with gongs. Whatever you think about Coldplay or James Blunt (I really like the former and can see the quality of a song like 'You're Beautiful' by the latter) at least they are involved in their own songwriting and music. Thank God the likes of Westlife didn't make an appearance.
I was particularly happy to see Jack Johnson win the International Breakthrough award. He has been producing really good quality music for years and 'In Between Dreams' is brilliant. Shame Arcade Fire didn't win one though!

Clive, Sheffield

Last Of The Famous International Pfunkboys (Kerr), Thursday, 16 February 2006 11:52 (nineteen years ago)

Nobody is actually called Clive. Clearly a troll.

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:07 (nineteen years ago)

only 4 of my predictions were correct in the end (female, album, int male, breakthrough)

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:15 (nineteen years ago)

I know 2 people called Clive.

Last Of The Famous International Pfunkboys (Kerr), Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:24 (nineteen years ago)

apparently prince rocked.

here's audio of his performance

http://s46.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3QRP27324D18A01OUW7L6CH9AH
gotta say his new songs (the first two obviously) are a tad on the corny side. the second one is sub-carlos santana FM rock type stuff that id expect bon jovi to come out with (and in 2006 those synths are corny as anything). he kills with the other two tracks though.

ahhh, Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:38 (nineteen years ago)

I was at school with a kid called clive, but that was 22 years ago, and I've never met anyone called clive since. Also, he was a fucking mentalist.

Don't really care overmuch abt the brit awards, you might have guessed, eh.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:52 (nineteen years ago)

Does anyone care about it?

Last Of The Famous International Pfunkboys (Kerr), Thursday, 16 February 2006 12:54 (nineteen years ago)

kaiser chiefs ?

AleXTC (AleXTC), Thursday, 16 February 2006 13:11 (nineteen years ago)

I have been impressed, if that is the word, by how effectively Paul Weller's people (ie his dad, probably) have been milking his lifetime achievement award. Everything rereleased, or at least repromoted. Thing is, I would quite like Snap.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Thursday, 16 February 2006 13:35 (nineteen years ago)

Coldplay to quit music scene

Brit Awards: Coldplay are to quit the music scene for up to two years after their album X&Y was named best of the year at the Brits. Chris Martin dropped the bombshell that they are to "go into hiding", saying "people are fed up with us"...

What a perceptive chap!

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:23 (nineteen years ago)

Ricky Wilson has the worst skin in the music industry.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:24 (nineteen years ago)

The Brits have died because it has been taken over by the media whores and music industry nazis.

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!! (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:25 (nineteen years ago)

Taken over? Who was in charge before the whores and nazis?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

Winston Churchill and DLT

DJ Martian (djmartian), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:28 (nineteen years ago)

Jonathan King

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

DLT died because Radio 1 was taken over by the media whores and music industry nazis.

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!! (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

and before him, Gary Glitter

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

Only two years? Go on, guys. Treat yourself to a Stone Roses. Or an Elastica. Or better yet, a My Bloody Valentine.

She's In Parties (kate), Thursday, 16 February 2006 14:59 (nineteen years ago)

or a brian wilson's Smile !

AleXTC (AleXTC), Thursday, 16 February 2006 15:05 (nineteen years ago)

OK, so I'm watching it. Prince is on now.

Further confirmation that Lemar exists so that the Brits don't have to give best Urban to a grime artist

Haha, last year he was beaten by the truly urban, erm, Joss Stone.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 20:18 (nineteen years ago)

Prince was good. He needs to play guitar *always*.

I liked all the cuts to crappy British acts looking inadequate in the presence of the Wee Purple One.

Can I stop watching now? There's a shite football match on the other side.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 20:33 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, KT Tunstall was funny to watch, making gurning faces whilst presumably bellowing the guitar parts to the bloke next to her that looked a bit like Jeff Goldblum.

Goal in shite football match now. You missed Coldplay live.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 20:49 (nineteen years ago)

Ricky Wilson has the worst skin in the music industry

No, some bloke from the Arctic Monkeys is a right plooky wee oik. James Blunt is now on. He has the same smile as Tom Cruise.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 20:56 (nineteen years ago)

James Blunt freaks me the fuck out. I've mercifully managed to avoid much of the blanket Blunt over the last year, but I've been exposed to enough to throroughly hate the plummy-voiced twerp. Urgh. This show is so depressing. Prince was good though.

Cracks (Crackity), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:02 (nineteen years ago)

(note: having the same smile as Tom Cruise NOT A GOOD THING)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:05 (nineteen years ago)

The crowd seem completely underwhelmed by the appearance of Wayne Coyne.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:12 (nineteen years ago)

Haha, KT Tunstall has the worst dancers in the world on stage with her. They look like Pans People or something. I liked how Chris Evans got the name of her album wrong when enthusing about how great it was and how many people loved it.

James Blunt has a very annoying voice (speaking, not singing, though that's annoying too). I take it they spent all the budget on Prince, hence the rest of the live acts being fairly mundane home-grown acts (honourable exception = Kelly Clarkson)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

wayne coyne looks like noel edmonds these days

DJ Martian (djmartian), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:37 (nineteen years ago)

who buys james blunt bland muzak ? athlete, aqualung and travis fans?

DJ Martian (djmartian), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:39 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, I apologise for suggesting they spent all their budget on Prince. They only spent half the budget on him, the rest went on millions of gratuitously-scantily-clad models to parade around Kanye.

Travis are better than James Blunt.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:47 (nineteen years ago)

Goal in shite football match now.

and a good goal it was too. I caught the end of the nearly nekkid Kanye chicks. Don't think I missed much else.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:53 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, and it seems they've been reading RoxyMuzak's lip sync thread for ad ideas.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:54 (nineteen years ago)

That's maybe been the best thing all show (the ads). This Gorillaz "live" thing with a St Winifred's School Choir for the the new millenium is a bit rubbish.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:59 (nineteen years ago)

Since no-one else is contributing to this thread, can I just ask why Colin Murray is presenting coverage of the afore-mentioned football on Five? Is it because he's indier than John Barnes and can therefore relate to Pat Nevin? (perhaps I should revive a football pundits thread on ILE and talk about it there)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 22:03 (nineteen years ago)

Actually he *isn't* indier than John Barnes because he hasn't rapped on a New Order hit. Mind you, Colin Murray wasn't involved in the Anfield Rap.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 16 February 2006 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

Ray Winstone and Paul Weller- together at last! No "Scum" style outburst from big Ray, unfortunately...

Neil Stewart (Neil Stewart), Thursday, 16 February 2006 22:16 (nineteen years ago)

bit dissapointed in princes performance. it was solid, but the new songs were just alright, and the old ones, ive heard him KILL on those a million times before. he sounded like he was going through the motions. not much spark there IMHO.

kt tunstall (strangely) and kanye gave the best performances IMHO

even weller is better, bizarrely

okkok, Thursday, 16 February 2006 22:25 (nineteen years ago)

no spark during prince !? fuck - i had shivers up my spine all through that part. sheila e giving it her all .. the extended breaks, purple rain .. pissed all over the rest of the show IMHO. to have a full show of that with me in the audience is something i will go to my grave wishing for, i suspect.
thought that the vocals during KW's performance were dreadfully mixed, and despite like gorillaz their thing was a bit tepid and tired.

mark e (mark e), Friday, 17 February 2006 08:48 (nineteen years ago)

Prince was v good but I had this urge to blurt out 'you're so above this!' all the way through his lengthy set.

Didn't see much else of the show, except a bit of Coldplay, which I'm ashamed to say I almost enjoyed!

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 17 February 2006 10:45 (nineteen years ago)

Chris Evans was pretty poor from what I saw. He shouldn't present. I think it's time to bring back Sam Fox.

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 17 February 2006 10:47 (nineteen years ago)

whats wrong with bad sea shanties?

terry lennox. (gareth), Friday, 17 February 2006 10:57 (nineteen years ago)

they shd get amazing randy to present it. I didn't see it, obv.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 17 February 2006 10:58 (nineteen years ago)

whats wrong with bad sea shanties?

they're not good sea shanties (like Ace Of Base)

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 17 February 2006 11:17 (nineteen years ago)

Well, I enjoyed the show.

Travelled between houses during Blunt's 'set' so missed it.

I get the impression that next year's awards might be more interesting.

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 February 2006 11:51 (nineteen years ago)

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 February 2006 11:58 (nineteen years ago)

Paul Weller slags off rock dinosaurs shockah!

fuck me, if you're gonna try and be gobby and controversial (much needed, granted) there's plenty of great choices right in front of your nose you daft twat, why bother settling predictable '80's scores?

john clarkson, Friday, 17 February 2006 12:11 (nineteen years ago)

What did he say? Did I miss something?

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 February 2006 12:22 (nineteen years ago)

Prince

So what did Weller say?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 17 February 2006 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

Boy George gives the gong to "the first rapper to say something positive about gay people - and about fucking time".

what about his old pal MC Kinki? tcha

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 17 February 2006 12:56 (nineteen years ago)

what about his old pal MC Kinki?

GOD i f ucking hated her. i meticulously edited my taped copy of the original GENERATIONS OF LOVE to cut her out. brrr. dreadful woman.

piscesboy, Friday, 17 February 2006 13:00 (nineteen years ago)

i am going to play her at your club night. sorry.

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 17 February 2006 13:09 (nineteen years ago)

xpost he slagged off sting and bono (cutting edge paul!) and called freddie mercury a cunt

john clarkson, Friday, 17 February 2006 13:33 (nineteen years ago)

Just saw a little bit of it but Chris Evans must be the most punchable man on television (again), presumably his only job now is to make Chris Moyles look good.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Friday, 17 February 2006 14:14 (nineteen years ago)

No, he hired Moyles to front a Channel five show. He did not look good.

British Male Solo Artist: Dizzee Rascal, the only one with actual success last year. (as opposed to (did alright/fair to middling)

British Group: Kasabian (in a shock "We can't give it to Muse every year" way)

MasterCard British Album: Florence & the Machine - Lungs (obv)

British Single: Lily Allen - The Fear (well, this or La Roux in a "thanks for coming, see ya" way)

Critics' Choice: Ellie Goulding (blatantly obv)

BRITs Album of 30 Years having a larf you are kidding right? oh alright...
Oasis - (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?
Because why Dido/Sade? and no-one claims to like BIA do they?

International Male Solo Artist: Jay-Z (obv)

International Album: Lady Gaga - The Fame (obv)

International Breakthrough Act: Lady Gaga

After last year's Brits triumph, somehow this PSB-in-someone's-front-room thing looks like an anti-climax.

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:32 (fifteen years ago)

And since they're shilling for a credit card company, I thought they'd be doing "Opportunities [Let's Make Lots Of Money]".

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:33 (fifteen years ago)

they are. Just, not singing that song.

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:34 (fifteen years ago)

FFS get on with it Ginger we know it's JLS already!

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:39 (fifteen years ago)

Ellie Goulding muted!

Did she say she was "wankered" or is my lipreading rubbish?

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:49 (fifteen years ago)

I didn't see. I was too busy facepalming over the general shiny-yet-insubstantial-ness of it all.

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:53 (fifteen years ago)

oh just someone beat Peter Kay

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:53 (fifteen years ago)

"assume the mantle of the people's band" excuse me WTF? Kasabian are equal parts Free and Oasis with any kind of excitement removed.

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:57 (fifteen years ago)

Well, one of them nearly crashed into Peter Kay, so...

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:58 (fifteen years ago)

Well, so far just the one wrong.

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:59 (fifteen years ago)

nice video message from the assistant manager of the Holborn branch of Nat West there...

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:06 (fifteen years ago)

Twitter's going nuts, what did Jonathan Ross just do?

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:15 (fifteen years ago)

Ha, Lily Allen's walk muted!

(Someone obviously played the uncensored version of "the Fear")

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:18 (fifteen years ago)

JRoss came out dresed like one of Run DMC.

Mark G, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:18 (fifteen years ago)

But now I hear Lady Gaga killed it.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:25 (fifteen years ago)

Maybe it's because I don't watch ITV anymore, but are these ads bloody insulting? John Lennon says buy a Citroen DS3!

might seem normal (snoball), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:25 (fifteen years ago)

That Pixies one for Visa was a bit of a headfuck.

Venga, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:27 (fifteen years ago)

dope performance this, and apparently the mp3 of this is already #14 on the itunes chart

god that was horrible
her voice is just horrible
at least it is on that cover
like shes trying to sound like shes out of control or delirious but it just sounds shit
totally the wrong song for her
award show mashups = almost always shite
id have preferred if she just sung dirty cash with dizzee or something

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Wednesday, 17 February 2010 11:27 (fifteen years ago)

gaga was the best thing on the whole show, only person who wasnt a boring bland popstar, also the only person who seems a bit scary or weird these days

ok, theres also lilly allen but the fear is shite, and all those synths just make her sound like every other fucking thing on the radio

kasabian are just fucking awful and tepid - how on earth have they gotten so big?

peter kay - i couldnt figure out if he really was bored, or if he thought acting like he was bored the whole night would be funny.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Wednesday, 17 February 2010 11:29 (fifteen years ago)

that said i dont see much music on tv anymore so i was still kinda excited just to see this.

that jls song is actually one of the best things to come out of x factor - shame about the ballady single.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Wednesday, 17 February 2010 11:30 (fifteen years ago)

woah kasabian had a #1 record?

67 (history mayne), Wednesday, 17 February 2010 11:31 (fifteen years ago)

That Lennon ad was very weird, he came back to life just to slag Liam Gallagher off...

Mark G, Wednesday, 17 February 2010 11:54 (fifteen years ago)

GaGa >>> Alicia/Jay-Z >>> Dizzee/Flo > Kasabian > Lily > JLS >>> Cheryl Cole. (Robbie Williams? tl;dw)

mike t-diva, Wednesday, 17 February 2010 12:01 (fifteen years ago)

Robbie was annoying - he changed the lyrics at the beginning of the first number of his set to "oh I'm looking at this Brit award what I've just won" or something.

might seem normal (snoball), Wednesday, 17 February 2010 12:05 (fifteen years ago)

Seemed very weird having Williams as the headline act- does anyone actually care about him any more?

Neil S, Wednesday, 17 February 2010 12:06 (fifteen years ago)

Also, Lady Gaga looked like a gigantic piece of cauliflower cheese.

Neil S, Wednesday, 17 February 2010 12:09 (fifteen years ago)

Robbie? Probably because of getting the lifetime achievement, which is how they usually end the proceedings.

Mark G, Wednesday, 17 February 2010 12:15 (fifteen years ago)

five years pass...

royal blood might be the worst band ever? not watching this horseshit obv, heard about 2 mins of their music last year

vacuum head tree disease (imago), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 20:46 (ten years ago)

taking the no way sna on the chin here, fully deserved obv

vacuum head tree disease (imago), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 20:46 (ten years ago)

thoroughly unremarkable show in every respect so far, which instantly makes it 1000000000 better than the aggressively unwatchable corden-hosted debacles of the past few years

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 20:53 (ten years ago)

Paloma Faith just won best UK female ahead of Jessie Ware and FKA twigs. At least George Era hasn't shown up yet.

ewar woowar (or something), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 20:57 (ten years ago)

Can't even be arsed correcting that.

ewar woowar (or something), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 20:57 (ten years ago)

Possibly the most feeble Brit awards I've ever seen. Can't decide who was worst between Lewis Hamilton & Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, Royal Blood or Jimmy Carr.

ewar woowar (or something), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:02 (ten years ago)

oh shit

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:17 (ten years ago)

would not like to be in her presence right now

mark e, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:21 (ten years ago)

but fair play .. she carried on.
she looked very shaken.

mark e, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:22 (ten years ago)

can't wait to review that on Google PlayTM

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:30 (ten years ago)

We're watching on catch up, wardrobe malfunction or what?

obviously genuine, but that'll be the front pages for sure.

Sorry, Sam.

Mark G, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 22:55 (ten years ago)

Don't have much interest in Madonna but ... there's something shit about delighting in that fall (Not here, more The Guardian's live blog coverage which seems to be saying "At least something interesting happened" and much of Twitter).

djh, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 23:03 (ten years ago)

People saying this has been the most feeble brits have short memories, its been pretty feeble for a few years now.

Mark G, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 23:07 (ten years ago)

The Edna "No Capes" thing was fair enough and fairly swift

Mark G, Wednesday, 25 February 2015 23:08 (ten years ago)

Whilst you're correct in asserting I must have a short memory, I do it's shocking, I'm aware the Brit has p much always been a shitfest. This was real bottom of the barrel stuff though. I mean who is it that actually listens to Paloma Faith? She seems like a trick that's being played on the public.

ewar woowar (or something), Thursday, 26 February 2015 08:33 (ten years ago)

totally ridiculous how madonna falling over has gotten all the attention, when kanye is the one who made that evening and actually did/made/performed something interesting.

StillAdvance, Thursday, 26 February 2015 12:42 (ten years ago)

the people who listen to PF are people who miss amy winehouse (but dont/cant tell what made amy better)

StillAdvance, Thursday, 26 February 2015 12:43 (ten years ago)

(did feel sorry for madonna btw)

OTM.

Although I'm really struggling to think of the exact moment it became feeble. 1996 was the last truly memorable one, for me at least.

You’re being too simplistic and you’re insulting my poor heart (Turrican), Friday, 27 February 2015 01:42 (ten years ago)

Was the KLF year the last good one? Not just because the KLF were on.. Possibly because the organisers let them, even after finding out what they were going to do.

Mark G, Friday, 27 February 2015 16:11 (ten years ago)

eleven months pass...
one year passes...
two years pass...

Dave’s performance just now, ending with the Jack Merritt shoutout. Wow.
