Tell me more about this Australian "X."

Binjominia, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

Men at Work are a rock band?

mrlynch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:05 (eighteen years ago)

Where is this "Austrailia". I do not know it.

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:07 (eighteen years ago)

The answer is the Loved Ones.

Drooone, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:09 (eighteen years ago)

coloured balls.

hstencil, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:09 (eighteen years ago)

birthday party? scientists? grong grong?

Edward III, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:16 (eighteen years ago)

Hunters & Collectors
Beasts of Bourbon
Christbait
THE MEANIES, muthafuckers
Magic Dirt!

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:36 (eighteen years ago)

AC/DC weren't Australian, they were Scottish. So, either feedtime, X, Rose Tattoo or Grong Grong.

moley, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:41 (eighteen years ago)

the go-betweens
you am i

Charlie Howard, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 02:50 (eighteen years ago)

Died Pretty
Hard-ons
Eastern Dark
feedtime (! !!!!!)

I am tickled that anyone ranks the Lime Spiders above INXS.

mrlynch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 03:41 (eighteen years ago)

and yeah the correct spelling is "Orstrilia"

mrlynch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 03:42 (eighteen years ago)

The Church
Radio Birdman
The Saints
Drop City / The Lovetones
Clouds

Elvis Telecom, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 03:44 (eighteen years ago)

Airbourne

SeekAltRoute, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 03:50 (eighteen years ago)

Laughing Clowns (that's stretching the definition of "rock" but not as far as calling the Go-bs "rock")

mrlynch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 03:59 (eighteen years ago)

Nikki Webster

badg, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 04:15 (eighteen years ago)

coloured balls
buffalo
rose tattoo
ac/dc
the scientists
primitive calculators (if we stretch the definition of rock a bit)

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 04:23 (eighteen years ago)

badg you evil bastard.

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 04:55 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah I think I take issue with te Go-Bs and the Church being "rock" bands really.

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 04:55 (eighteen years ago)

Haha no one said silverchair. This pleases me.

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 04:56 (eighteen years ago)

Someone did say Airborne however.

moley, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 05:07 (eighteen years ago)

I was being facetious.

Honest.

SeekAltRoute, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 05:35 (eighteen years ago)

New Christs

The Clouds weren't exactly a rock band either, from memory: if they're allowed here then so are the Falling Joys, for example. (Actually I think the Falling Joys rocked harder than the Clouds.)

The Church had their moments - "When You Were Mine" - but even that's only rock if I squint and put my head on one side.

mrlynch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 05:38 (eighteen years ago)

Hey someone on the mongrels thread put her in my head. Then I gis'd her. Then I felt wrong.

badg, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 06:11 (eighteen years ago)

i daresay that hawkwind covers set that the church did would qualify as rock!

haitch, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 06:27 (eighteen years ago)

The only Falling Joys song that really rocks out was "Black Bandages" (which rocks. But they're not rock)

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 07:40 (eighteen years ago)

cosmic psychos

StanM, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 07:43 (eighteen years ago)

Don't the Birthday Party count as rock then?

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 07:47 (eighteen years ago)

Cosmic Psychos is a good call

moley, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 07:48 (eighteen years ago)

steve & stevie
severed heads

600, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:06 (eighteen years ago)

Personally, in a gig going sense, the answer for me is the New Christs. Have spent many a rousing night with the New Christs.

mentalist, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:12 (eighteen years ago)

I remember an older thread about this and my answer is again The Avalanches.

Spencer Chow, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:22 (eighteen years ago)

God

Mark G, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:38 (eighteen years ago)

(crazy name, crazy guys)

Mark G, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:38 (eighteen years ago)

God: I've got "My Pal" which is amazing (found it because of Magic Dirt's excellent cover version). Subsequently bought an album that was totally underwhelming. Wouldn't mind a guide to this band. Is the best stuff all impossible to find?

dlp9001, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:43 (eighteen years ago)

"You're my only friend! You don't even like meh.."

Mark G, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:49 (eighteen years ago)

The LIVING END. amen.

Mordechai Shinefield, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 08:53 (eighteen years ago)

birthday party? scientists? grong grong?

Crap, crap, and uhm...let's see, what's that word I'm looking for? Oh yeah: CRAP!

Tinky-Winky, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

wow I'd never realized how totally horrible Australian popular music is

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:39 (eighteen years ago)

calling grong grong crap but including them in the company of the birthday party and the scientists is way more respect than they usually get.

(i like grong grong.)

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:40 (eighteen years ago)

UH t-w dude u mad, birthday party and scientists are awesome

pretzel walrus, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:41 (eighteen years ago)

somehow I'm getting the feeling tinky-winky isn't a lubricated goat fan. but, y'know, enjoy that midnight oil, good on you mate.

Edward III, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:45 (eighteen years ago)

The Skyhooks, Cold Chisel, the Aztecs and the Angels would give some good argument.

Radio Birdman ought to have its Aussie union card recalled for Zeno Beach.

Gorge, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 19:17 (eighteen years ago)

What about TISM?!

Richard Wood Johnson, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 19:21 (eighteen years ago)

OMG yes! How could I forget them.

Trayce, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)

By now The Celibate Rifles deserve a mention too (not to mention my vote).

blunt, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:14 (eighteen years ago)

Is there anything to be said for Sherbert? No?

King Boy Pato, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:19 (eighteen years ago)

The Celibate Rifles were weak tea. Utterly underwhelming live act, odd, considering the hype they recieved during a mercilessly short tenure.

Gorge, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:34 (eighteen years ago)

Wow I think the exact opposite and think Roman Beach Party (the live LP) illustrates that wrt most of their studio recordings.

blunt, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:42 (eighteen years ago)

Oh and Lame Spiders, more like.

blunt, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:43 (eighteen years ago)

There's an early Celibates EP, 'But Jacques, the Fish' which kicks royal arse in a Detroity kinda way.

moley, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 22:47 (eighteen years ago)

and shame on all of us for forgetting thrush & the cunts.

Edward III, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 23:17 (eighteen years ago)

not to mention NO

Edward III, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 23:17 (eighteen years ago)

Psychotic Turnbuckles
Candy Harlots

mrlynch, Thursday, 3 May 2007 01:29 (eighteen years ago)

NO were awesome. They were the first industrial band I ever got into, well before I really knew or liked anything about goth or industrial at all. When I think back now on something like "Where are we Going", it is totally Ministry.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

Eddy Current Suppression Ring

badg, Thursday, 3 May 2007 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

haha candy harlots were so shit

why don't we add pearls and swine and the poor while we're at it.

better yet,

tumbleweed
the meanies
caligula
frente

Charlie Howard, Thursday, 3 May 2007 02:02 (eighteen years ago)

Tumbleweed was my first concert eva. aw.

Drooone, Thursday, 3 May 2007 02:04 (eighteen years ago)

I saw Link from the Meanies in Myer once, in a suit, but looking completely dishevelled and clearly off his nut, with no shoes on. It was rather surreal.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 02:06 (eighteen years ago)

hahah

which myer?

Charlie Howard, Thursday, 3 May 2007 02:10 (eighteen years ago)

seems twice!!! you gotta respect a band that has no songs over 45 seconds

electricsound, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:06 (eighteen years ago)

Beasts of Bourbon

SeekAltRoute, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:17 (eighteen years ago)

Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons
Midnight Oil (especially around Red Sails in the Sunset, I don't care what you haters say, that was a really good record)
Redgum

Dimension 5ive, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

haha 100 ODD FOOT OF GRUNTS

Dimension 5ive, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

^Ordinary Fear of God, thank you very much.

Drooone, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:29 (eighteen years ago)

which myer?

The one in Melb CBD.. I think hahaha he was even in the mens suit section! It was so funny.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:39 (eighteen years ago)

Hey what about Spiderbait? Or am I the only lameoid who likes them :(

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:39 (eighteen years ago)

haha, i would never have remembered the meanies if it weren't for this thread

horsehead anyone? heh

beasts of bourbon is a good answer. i do quite like them. wicked live band

and yeah, the oils absolutely. it's practically a given

Charlie Howard, Thursday, 3 May 2007 03:59 (eighteen years ago)

The Oils are a lot better than I gave them credit for as a kid, esp their early stuff.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 04:02 (eighteen years ago)

Spiderbait 2nded!

badg, Thursday, 3 May 2007 04:07 (eighteen years ago)

Seriously (before I post any more rubbish 80s Sydney bands like the Hellmenn) I think the Oils and the Beasts rule this thread

mrlynch, Thursday, 3 May 2007 04:11 (eighteen years ago)

I still say the Loved Ones.

Feedtime, Go-Betweens, Saints also brilliant.

Drooone, Thursday, 3 May 2007 04:14 (eighteen years ago)

INXS
H&C, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, The Models, Noiseworks, AC/DC.

Hard like armour, Thursday, 3 May 2007 04:35 (eighteen years ago)

Spiderbait before the "comeback" and the cover of Black Betty which made them bogan favourites, sure.

King Boy Pato, Thursday, 3 May 2007 05:02 (eighteen years ago)

i have a picture of me standing on the unfinished spanish galleon of finley lake that spiderbait took as an album title. sadly it was burned by arsonists a few years ago. never forget.

haitch, Thursday, 3 May 2007 05:13 (eighteen years ago)

been lotsa good ones mentioned already, not sure i can add much. tinky-winky should hand in his goddamn citizenship though, jesus christ.

haitch, Thursday, 3 May 2007 05:18 (eighteen years ago)

There are half a dozen comps of Aussie underground rock from the 70's onward without a duff track on them, but for me the Birthday Party come out on top swinging.

Soukesian, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:03 (eighteen years ago)

What 60s stuff is interesting? Apart from the easybeats I don't really know of any.

Oh and The Triffids and The Moodists

Sandy Blair, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:18 (eighteen years ago)

John Farnham rocks.

US Forces by Midnight Oil rocks too.

cli0019, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:19 (eighteen years ago)

As far as the 60's is concerned, the 'Ugly Things' comp series is spoken of in hushed tones of reverence by serious garage heads, but I've yet to snag a copy.

Soukesian, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:21 (eighteen years ago)

John Farnham is a terrible blight on the universe.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:22 (eighteen years ago)

And so is bloody Men at Work! Jesus people.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:22 (eighteen years ago)

Always pleased to hear that someone else remembers the Moodists. "Thirsty's Calling" is a lost classic.

Soukesian, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:28 (eighteen years ago)

I wish Mad Max had been a rocker.

cli0019, Thursday, 3 May 2007 07:31 (eighteen years ago)

Wow I think the exact opposite and think Roman Beach Party (the live LP) illustrates that wrt most of their studio recordings.

My band, the Highway Kings, crushed the Rifles onstage in the US at Maxwell's in Hoboken. They were not powerful and surprisingly weak-sounding for a band of Aussie origin. I had their records and expected much more.

Sell out crowd because our record was being played ad nauseum on the local college station. Most of the crowd had gone halfway into the Rifles' set. The singer became querulous and argued with the endlessly soloing guitar player, Steadman, or whatever his name was. Sadly, it was the end for them in the US after that show.

See here. The MP3 of 'Rumble' is from the show. The noise from the crowd is for us, not for them.

Almost every Aussie band I've ever seen just kill onstage. The Rifles weren't one of them.

The Screaming Tribesman, for example, who had kind of a lame record for Rounder, really tore up the stage in Philly, sounding almost nothing like their record.

Johnny Kannis & The Hitmen released a Dictator-like live record worth some ear damage. They certainly don't reach the power of AC/DC, the Oils, the Tatts, the Angels or INXS.

Gorge, Thursday, 3 May 2007 08:29 (eighteen years ago)

Whoever did "Hindu Gods of Love" deserves a slight shout out, too. That'd be the Lipstick Killers, I think.

Gorge, Thursday, 3 May 2007 08:32 (eighteen years ago)

Lipstick killers, yeah. Classic track. IIRC they never did a proper LP, but there's a CD worth of collected material which I should really pick up.

Soukesian, Thursday, 3 May 2007 08:57 (eighteen years ago)

If we go into psychedelic rock who remembers the Moffs? They were awesome.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 08:59 (eighteen years ago)

(this is looking like becoming Pseudo Echo thread mk II! heh)

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 08:59 (eighteen years ago)

Roman Beach Party is not a live album! Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was, maybe you're thinking of that.

I've never seen the Rifles live but I love them.

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 3 May 2007 09:12 (eighteen years ago)

You're right! Wonder why I was convinced of that -prolly 'cos it's my fave and the last one I liked. Seen them live twice and it was as fun & electrifying as I hoped it would be. I guess their "hype" brought them to attention and extensive gigging, which I don't recall Highway Kings having ...in Switzerland.

blunt, Thursday, 3 May 2007 09:24 (eighteen years ago)

Just noticed they're pictured playing live on the sleeve of Roman Beach Party. Anyway it is unlikely that the CR would be the best rock band from Austrailia but they remain v. enjoyable.

blunt, Thursday, 3 May 2007 09:31 (eighteen years ago)

It's probably my favourite of theirs too. I like Sideroxylon a lot too. They lost it a bit with Blind Ear but Spaceman In A Satin Suit is pretty good. That's the only post-80s one I've heard. They have a few haters on ILM though it seems.

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 3 May 2007 10:06 (eighteen years ago)

NO were awesome. They were the first industrial band I ever got into, well before I really knew or liked anything about goth or industrial at all. When I think back now on something like "Where are we Going", it is totally Ministry.

-- Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 01:30 (12 hours ago)

they were obscure at the time, and it doesn't seem like they are very well remembered at all today. I liked that "once we were scum now we are god" lp.

speaking of industrial aussies JIM FOETUS

(not really rock or a band, but still)

Edward III, Thursday, 3 May 2007 14:33 (eighteen years ago)

Jim Foetus - yes, that must be the one. I'm going with him. He's a one man tour de force. Without him NIN wouldn't exist. Melbourne's finest export.

moley, Thursday, 3 May 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

Go-Betweens

Jazzbo, Thursday, 3 May 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

I prefer The Church...

and you can consider these honorable mentions:
The Saints
The Moles
Hard-Ons

christoff, Thursday, 3 May 2007 15:08 (eighteen years ago)

every once in a while I think about starting a thread about the died pretty... cause they always seemed well regarded and I never heard them and they are rarely mentioned nowadays. at least in the states.

Edward III, Thursday, 3 May 2007 16:42 (eighteen years ago)

I don't know, I really really like the Triffids and the Birthday Party and Foetus, but I don't think I'd ever call them Rock... :-/

StanM, Thursday, 3 May 2007 16:44 (eighteen years ago)

G E R L I N G!!!

Stevie D, Thursday, 3 May 2007 16:45 (eighteen years ago)

uh not to totally redirect or nothin, but how in the hell are the birthday party not a rock band? foetus i can see yr point.

pretzel walrus, Thursday, 3 May 2007 16:48 (eighteen years ago)

I suppose someone should mention the Hoodoo Gurus.

Elvis Telecom, Thursday, 3 May 2007 17:01 (eighteen years ago)

sidewinder, i guess

anyone remember them?

Charlie Howard, Thursday, 3 May 2007 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

The Cannanes and the Lighthouse Keepers. To the extent they are "rock."

mike a, Thursday, 3 May 2007 17:19 (eighteen years ago)

how in the hell are the birthday party not a rock band

I know! But they're more blues-punk in my head than rock. It's my head's fault.

StanM, Thursday, 3 May 2007 17:51 (eighteen years ago)

someone in ac/dc (mighta been angus) mentioned how frightening midnight oil was live. and ac/dc aren't easily frightened (or at least willing to cop to it).

of course around 1990 the oils started sucking hard.

Lawrence the Looter, Thursday, 3 May 2007 19:03 (eighteen years ago)

Aren't Jet and The Vines both from Australia?

Sorry, I'll stop chumming the waters. But I think that this thread is making me realize that NZ seems like it could go one on one with every Australian band and come up with a better one.

That all said, AC/DC for shits and giggles.

I eat cannibals, Thursday, 3 May 2007 19:15 (eighteen years ago)

sidewinder, i guess

Not only do I remember Sidewinder, I knew the brothers in the band! They were complete pricks, but the band were pretty ok.

Trayce, Thursday, 3 May 2007 20:51 (eighteen years ago)

At least no smartarse has come into this thread and typed in Wolfmother...

...shit.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAN!"

King Boy Pato, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:21 (eighteen years ago)

oh yeah, re:aussie 60s stuff.. the "it's a kave-in!" compilation is pretty cool. and later on i dig mcphee though they were mostly a heavy cover band (auger, spooky tooth, etc.).

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:28 (eighteen years ago)

Woolfmother, you pommy bastards...

It was in Bobcaygeon..., Thursday, 3 May 2007 23:00 (eighteen years ago)

Mach Pelican gets my vote

It was in Bobcaygeon..., Thursday, 3 May 2007 23:02 (eighteen years ago)

Wait a minute...where's CHIIIIIIIIIIIIISEL?

King Boy Pato, Thursday, 3 May 2007 23:07 (eighteen years ago)

The Easybeats?
Hoodoo Gurus?
Exploding White Mice?

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Thursday, 3 May 2007 23:13 (eighteen years ago)

Soukesian: The Ugly Things comp is worth looking up. Damnit only format I've got it on is a cassette and I have nothing to play it on.

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

Is there a Jim Thirlwell thread? there should be.

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 00:02 (eighteen years ago)

YES! the Gurus!!

christoff, Friday, 4 May 2007 00:05 (eighteen years ago)

What 60s stuff is interesting? Apart from the easybeats I don't really know of any.

Oh and The Triffids and The Moodists

-- Sandy Blair, Thursday, 3 May 2007 17:18 (Yesterday)

..I really don't want to go repeating myself....but: Loved Ones!

And Hoodoo Gurus can eat a dick after they adapted their tune for the rugby league advertising campaign.

Drooone, Friday, 4 May 2007 00:44 (eighteen years ago)

i know, not rock, but:

The Cannanes
Craven Fops

just wanted to see their names mentioned s'all.

nerve_pylon, Friday, 4 May 2007 01:42 (eighteen years ago)

For anyone who's interested in what Celibate's lead singer Damien Lovelock's up to these days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0x0Etmq5Xr0

His segment on the soccer's always pretty good, he knows his shit. Oh yeah and the Easybeats! They rule too.

badg, Friday, 4 May 2007 01:56 (eighteen years ago)

I was going to mention the Fops and thought "not rock."

But then I thought "what about 'Chemical Blues'?!?"

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 03:11 (eighteen years ago)

Good things here
http://www.antipodeanunderground.com/
http://blackeyerecords.blogspot.com/

Mike Dixn, Friday, 4 May 2007 03:14 (eighteen years ago)

and Widdershins had their rockin' moments.

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 03:18 (eighteen years ago)

Anyone who thinks that Foetus isn't rock hasn't ever seen the live show or heard "Rife".

John Justen, Friday, 4 May 2007 03:21 (eighteen years ago)

i have never seen the live show or heard "rife" ;_;

pretzel walrus, Friday, 4 May 2007 03:48 (eighteen years ago)

I was *at* the show that was released as "male", does that count?

Edward III, Friday, 4 May 2007 04:07 (eighteen years ago)

Yes.

John Justen, Friday, 4 May 2007 04:30 (eighteen years ago)

Has Jim mentioned Bendigo Funk Brothers yet?

King Boy Pato, Friday, 4 May 2007 04:33 (eighteen years ago)

Foetus one man rock n roll tornado, and 'Wash It All Off' is the one most rockin' tracks ever, EVER written by a koala muncher. To call him on not being rock n roll band is technically correct, but, listening to the music, our ears tell us this is rock n roll alright.

moley, Friday, 4 May 2007 04:36 (eighteen years ago)

is "Wash It All Off" the one that starts with him introducing each instrument?

"Are you ready on the BASS! ORGAN! Are you ready on... GUITAR! ...SHUT UP GUITAR SHUT UP!!!"

Still puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 04:52 (eighteen years ago)

hmm no I'm wrong... I think that's the intro to "Today I Started Slogging Again" which is the B-side of "Wash".

mrlynch, Friday, 4 May 2007 05:04 (eighteen years ago)

It behoves me to mention The Sunnyboys. Met a very drunk Jeremy Oxley at the Sando once, bought him a few beers, and later on he pulled out a royalty cheque from his jacket and showed it to me with some amusement.

mentalist, Friday, 4 May 2007 09:31 (eighteen years ago)

Spiderbait

SeekAltRoute, Friday, 4 May 2007 10:07 (eighteen years ago)

Dammit I already said Spiderbait ;P

Being at a club where they played "Old Man Sam" and everyone was fucking SQUAREDANCING TO IT. Then they all headbanged in the chorus.

I love this country.

Trayce, Friday, 4 May 2007 11:31 (eighteen years ago)

"wash it all off" is the one that goes SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICSADOMASOCHISM!

just cuz foetus rocks don't make him a rock band y'all

Edward III, Friday, 4 May 2007 13:47 (eighteen years ago)

he is all that and a pack of franks, though

Edward III, Friday, 4 May 2007 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

I wish there was a band called the headbanging squaredancers

Edward III, Friday, 4 May 2007 13:49 (eighteen years ago)

LOL. I've seen that square dancing phenomenon too. I may also have been involved on more than one occasion.

Ahem.

SeekAltRoute, Friday, 4 May 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)

Where do you live? If in Melb, was it at Subculture/DV8? =)

Trayce, Saturday, 5 May 2007 01:25 (eighteen years ago)

I mentioned this thread to someone and they nominated either Tumbleweed or Crow. Tumbleweed sound better now than ever, don't they?

moley, Saturday, 5 May 2007 01:34 (eighteen years ago)

they definitely benefit from Amerigrunge not clogging the airwaves.

energy flash gordon, Saturday, 5 May 2007 02:43 (eighteen years ago)

haha squaredancing? is that some uniquely melbourne phenomenon? like that 'melbourne shuffle' thing?

and yeah, i used to like sidewinder quite a bit. nice vanishing act though, guys.

haha mach pelican

how about ammonia?
