I'd probably vote for "Girlfriend" if it was the original, Nelly remix kind of ruins the perfection of the original. As is, I'm torn between "Gone," "Rock Your Body," "I'm Lovin' It," "Signs," and "My Love." Which means I haven't really narrowed it down at all.

Re-listening to these I'm surprised by how badly "Rock Your Body" has aged. "Like I Love You", otoh, stands up wonderfully still.

Underrated "I Wanna Love You" thing: the croak-into-falsetto on the bridge (cue Dan Perry writhing in agony). That is great. Also, the whole "DRUMS!" thing wouldn't be nearly as effective if it didn't have such a monster of a fucking beat.

Well, starting to write his own songs was a good thing, because it always is. But musically, he was a lot better when Max Martin wrote for him. More melodic, and with less exaggerated rhythm and vocal improvisation.

Had no idea "Cry Me A River" was still so revered above his other singles, although I'm happy that Justified trounced FutureBroken/SpaceBar overall. I used to like "What Goes Around" OK but now I kinda hate it, probably mostly because of the video (how the fuck did that one get a VMA nomination for video of the year!?). The only thing here that really gets a rise out of me is "SexyBack" over "Senorita."

I love "LoveStoned," but it's the transition to the "I Think She Knows (Interlude)" that pushes it into amazing.

J0rdan puts his finger on why the FS singles paled on the radio -- they sound better in sequence, true. But "LoveStoned" is awesome too: the key change in the chorus, the ease with which Justin switches to crooning ("I think she's goin' home with me to-N-I-I-I-G-HT/oh"). Months before it was a single, it and "I Think That She Knows" were my favorite tracks.

yeah, the strength of that record really comes from its expansiveness more than its individual pieces

Yep. I'm a huge fan of the transitions/interludes. I know it's been said here a bunch already, but they add so much.

And for sure, I don't think anyone would disagree with you, Rev.

"Summer Love" is the only single that sounds meh on the album but explodes on the radio, as I discovered that summer (airplay won me over).

i'm the opposite of you guys, some of the songs work for me as standalone singles (especially "My Love" and "Until The End Of Time") but i kind of dislike the album as a whole and have mixed feelings about all the interludes.

i love my love on its own but the build up to it is A++

LoveStoned/I Think That She Knows ranked up fine in here... would love to see it higher but can't say I'm dissapointed in ILM.

'I think that she knows' by itself is my favorite JT moment, would've loved if they'd diminished lovestoned's length for an extended composition of that one instead.
