my favorite album of his may be instrumental, but my favorite tracks of his are all emcee jams: "pause", "fuck the police", "i don't know", "running", etc.

I think Muggs did a couple of Funkdoobiest joints, but the bulk of the production on those records was handled by Ralph M. I think he did some stuff for Mellow Man too, but ost of his shit was the Dust Brothers, I think.

I like Politics of the Business (Chubb Rock track is HIGHlarious) and Prince Paul's Paul Barman productions. Handsome Boy Modelling School not so much, but it isn't bad (and what is bad about it I attribute to the Automator, who is fucking horrible)

Not recognizing the "horribleness" of the Automator is a strike against him, def.

My favourite RZA production work is possibly Digital Bullet, on it he proves he can do a wide variety of interesting beats outside his trademark murky style. Too bad the rapping isn't quite the same quality. The W has very cool and varying beats too, it's definitely the best-produced of the five Wu group albums.

He's not as prolific as Premiere or Pete Rock, both of whom have better gold to shit averages than RZA.

I'd wager that this poll's top ten is pretty close to any one that any hip hop mag or poll would come out with. Maybe one of two differences and perhaps not so heavily weighted at the top, but still pretty close.
