I'm working until 7 that day (and I'll be 40 miles away from home, so I won't get back for an hour or so), so I wouldn't be able to attend any Florida faps. But I'll be thinking of you all that night.

Sadly I will be in Croatia and will miss this. Pretty sure I would never have wanted to go to this particular festival had it not been for ILM and its Balearic revival thread in particular so I'll drink in its honour.

I could almost make this - I'm in London on Wednesday but Thursday is unlikely.

I feel like I should drop by and salute something which has been a part of my life for so *long* but I'm not supposed to drink on the new meds. And so many memories at the GHS. But I suppose so many memories of ILX.

I'll be having my own FAP on Thursday. It will include the fourth poster on that thread and some other people who have posted to ILX. Awesome.

Really wish I could make this, but not a chance. Too poor and have IMPORTANT THINGS to do on Friday (well, if you consider playing indiepop to an empty room important. I might play some B&S in honour of the twee Sinister types that used to populate the old-school ilx).

Also, my first thought on seeing the thread title wasn't 'London FAP', it was 10 years must = ILX WORLD FAP. Slightly disappointing.

That was an interesting paper. But it did make me feel a bit like a lab rat who never knew they were in a maze.

Kinda wish I had tbh. Not because I didn't have a nice time, I did, but I had 4 pints at a colleague's leaving do before I even got to the FAP and ended up absolutely arseholed, lost in (I think) South London for some fucking reason and didn't find my way home til 6am, and now my wife is massively pissed off with me! Whoops.

That makes me think of another question -- what was the reception to the paper? Did it prompt any marketing gurus to do anything differently or better, that you know of?

I won a prize for it, and it led to me getting my current job. So it worked for me! It was more liked than used I suspect.

I'm sorry I was not able to get down to London for this, I would have loved to.

Parlaying ILXing into paychecks = you win at life.

Livejourna maybe? Its been around since 1999 i think, though Im not entirely sure if it had the comments facility right from the start.
