am torn between either "Hotter than a Middle Eastern climate / Find it, Tony Matterhorn dutty wine it" b/c everything just seems to kick in extra hard at that point and "P-p-pink wig, thick ass give 'em whiplash / I think big, get cash, make 'em blink fast" for the last triumphant voice switch-up

would vote for "You could be the king but watch the queen conquer" if I could vote for by itself. but I'll have to think about these as couplets

um, the verse begins and ends with the title, and in the middle there's a part where she busts it out five times in two lines, where the repetitive is obviously for effect, not a sign of laziness.

Definitely don't think it's her best verse ever (maybe "itty bitty piggy"? Or "sweet dreams"?), it's just a landmark one for her (polling "itty bitty piggy" would have garnered maybe two votes max)

my problem with this verse is that i feel like she hasn't found a way to make her rampant accent switch ups work in the context of a continuous flow -- even when you read the verse back w/o listening to it you can notice these breaks ("eat your brains", "all up in the bank with the funny face", "so let me get this straight", "bride of chucky") where it's like she stitched together bits of 6 different verses -- the middle part of the verse works well cuz she actually builds on something for a few bars

i dunno, i kind of think the choppiness makes the whole thing work in a blockbuster whizz-bang-boom type way

yeah but i also posted in the kanye thread around the same time that it would be in my year-end somewhere in the 30s or 40s. i was more an opponent of the album's #1 masterpiece status than the album itself but yeah there are things i've said that suggest otherwise i guess ::shrug::

where does this verse rank in the pantheon of famous guest verses? is it the most famous in like 5 years? after consulting various young ppl in my world of young ppl, i came across a lot of "nicki minaj really kills that verse" by people that would never have cared about nicki because the singles off 'pink friday' are so poppy & bad -- really think the "monster" verse opened her up to a bigger audience
