Sasquatch used to be amazing, but it's getting awfully big, which means more hassle, more expensive, more assholes, etc., etc. Still, it's a little more low-key, and it's in a beautiful spot that's not 108 degrees in the fuckin' shade, like Coachella was the one year I went ('03 or '04? The desert is pretty awesome. When I went a few years back, it'd be around 100 (with virtually no humidity) during the day and drop to 70 or 60 at night. The most bizarre part was being able to be watching a show inside a tent, be soaked to the bone with sweat due to so many people packed in, then walk ten feet out of the tent at the end and be completely desert-dry in a minute.

Two bands, two nights: Arcade Fire and the Strokes. I liked both of their debut albums and then only the occasional song after that. AF killed it last night, whereas the Strokes are just competent and efficient. A good rock band.
