I think Monsta is the one with the really mentalist OTT drop. I mean, they're all like that, but this one is even more so. It's sort of the UK funky equivalent of Vitalic or Black Strobe in its ludicrous sci-fi bombast.

katy perry is way more egregious than cheryl cole - you'd actually have to remove her voice entirely to make her songs palatable, whereas with cheryl a plank is a plank is neutral all the time

Perry is hardly offensive if you think of her as an anonymous bassline divalet, "good pop songs" or quality vocals are hardly the point of this music, really the more obnoxious the better. Obv the context is entirely different w/r/t the OG song.
