It's just an incredible odyssey of various electro and d&b breaks, but it doesn't loose track of the original tune either.

This is the ultimate answer to the question, there basically isn't a better example at all. It's monstrous.

the switch remix of p diddy & xtina's "tell me" is a good example, cuz the original really isn't that special but the remix is a monster. (but the full version of it, with the astonishing acapella moment, isn't on youtube.)

Think there needs to be a hidden house diva lurking within the original, which is why the Jennifer Hudson/Quentin Harris track works so well. One of the annoying things about the last Kelis album for me was the way it cut the corners of this process.

Yeah it's one and the same, 'Space Battle Homo' is just a phrase I made up to describe it a few years ago. Happy it caught on in some way.

Best Tiefschwarz mix is Feels Like Love, which still gets played out occasionally nowadays. The Missy one is good, although if I remember correctly there's not very much Missy actually in it?
