Do You Remember The First Poll? - ILM Artist Poll #11 - PULP - Results Thread!

Here we go, friends!

As mentioned previously I do not have sound on my computer and thus cannot post Youtubes with any certainty as to whether they would be the correct song (remixes/covers/etc).. so I will be using the inspiration of the Blur results thread and posting 'teaser' pictures a few minutes before each reveal. If there's a body out there interested in posting the Youtubes, I'd love the support!

117 songs voted for over ~29 ballots.. going to list out the top 40 results! Full list to follow at end.

should probably put "pulp" somewhere in the title there.

Mark G, Monday, 31 October 2011 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

Oh shit. I had Pulp in there, but something.. changed. Groan. Waiting on one last minute ballot and results in ~30 mins!

(BTW, there are a few ties, but Excel just sorted them alphabetically and that's what I'm going to do to)

LBS was #40 until ENBB's ballot, which messed up my numbering a bit. LBS is now tied for #41 with PARTY HARD (5 votes) and PENCIL SKIRT (6 votes) - should be true winner of #41 slot - sorry, I'm going to get better as I go along! I hope.

"Separations" is my least favourite Pulp album. "Love Is Blind" sounds inspired, the rest of side one is for the most part brutal. Side two is OK if you crave the novelty factor of hearing Pulp doing dance music.

Thanking you!

The multi-talented F.R. David (Billy Dods), Monday, 31 October 2011 17:16 (fourteen years ago)

A lot of Pulp songs seem pretty dance-y to me, so I guess it's hard for me to think of side two of Separations as a novelty. I've always thought of Death II as the older brother to Death Goes to the Disco and She's A Lady.

!Alicia!, Monday, 31 October 2011 17:21 (fourteen years ago)

I think Separations was the next one I was able to pick up after Different Class, so it also feels pretty "normal" to me. It's actually my favourite! I think I like it because it wasn't as polished..

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Monday, 31 October 2011 17:23 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, I like that too. It's a little dirtier and darker. I actually didn't hear it until ten years after it came out! I realized what I'd been missing right away.

!Alicia!, Monday, 31 October 2011 17:28 (fourteen years ago)

yeah! I never did unpack my CDs to burn that one, I'm missing out (thank God for Youtube!). Too cheap to buy it again on iTunes, heh..

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Monday, 31 October 2011 17:32 (fourteen years ago)

I think I like it because it wasn't as polished..

When I'm in the mood for "unpolished" Pulp, I listen to "Freaks".

"Separations" was their "return" album after being on hiatus for a few years, so you'd think it'd be a perfect chance to revamp their style and do something new ... which turned out to be a side-length flirtation with post-acid house dance music (a couple of years after that would have been an interesting or daring move for an indie band to make) and a side of stuff that sounded virtually the same as what they'd been doing in the mid-80's. I don't know, I've never "gotten" "Separations".

NoTimeBeforeTime, Monday, 31 October 2011 17:39 (fourteen years ago)

hmmm, I should tally up how many votes ended up going to each album - quick glance doesn't show a lot of Freaks, though I voted for at least one track.. as did a few others. Freaks is for when I feel sketchy.. Separations for when I feel frisky.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Monday, 31 October 2011 17:42 (fourteen years ago)

I'd bet on "Freaks" finishing last!

I'm guessing DC > Hardcore > HnH > WLL > Separations > It > Freaks

(discounting compilations like "Intro")

NoTimeBeforeTime, Monday, 31 October 2011 17:45 (fourteen years ago)

I aim to publish all results today, so tonight if I get around to it I'll tally it all up for one last blast of Pulp ranking!

Upt0eleven, Monday, 31 October 2011 18:12 (fourteen years ago)

My choices are all pretty obvious.

Alexis (there's one way to solve your name confusion!) Wickerman is a movie!

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Monday, 31 October 2011 18:13 (fourteen years ago)

Oh and also apparently: A wicker man was a large wicker statue of a human used by the ancient Druids (priests of Celtic paganism) for human sacrifice by burning it in effigy, according to Julius Caesar in his Commentarii de Bello Gallico (Commentary on the Gallic War).[1][2] In modern times the figure has been adopted for festivals as part of some neopagan-themed ceremonies, notably without the human sacrifice element.[3]

Great song, but one that didn't age so gracefully IMO ... partly because Jarvis wrote much better pervy illicit affair songs later on (e.g. I Spy, Seductive B****)

yeah, AA beats I Spy for me - I've never been sold on the class war stuff in the latter - AA a much stranger piece of work, with the net curtain/eiderdown world around him, lying under the table - it's like the affair's super-sexual yet taking place in childhood memoryland.

it's like the affair's super-sexual yet taking place in childhood memoryland

This is true, the imagery in AA is great, but I Spy is a better song. The keyboard hook in AA has always annoyed me a bit and the chorus is somewhat drab, the magic is nearly 100% in the lyrics and Jarvis' delivery. I Spy is a much richer song (the strings, the way it builds as it goes along), and I've always loved Evil Conniving Jarvis (so says the guy who loves "Freaks").

NoTimeBeforeTime, Tuesday, 1 November 2011 15:48 (fourteen years ago)

i see - for me the chorus of AA is killer - the way the melody unwinds & almost overstretches through that odd little vision of all the children's mothers finishing with lovers. I guess i can see I Spy is the stronger song in almost all regards - ambition, arrangement (especially), doing a lot of big things at once with the lyrics (it's prob his ultimate sex, class, resentment, ambivalent self-dramatisation moment) - and I did vote for it, but out of admiration rather than current love.

"The whole message board voted in unison at 4:13 AM.."

It was like they were underneath the stars in a dream. The only one who knew the reasons why was a freakshow whose sirensong lured the real Snow White ever closer to the hungry ghost. At the last minute, a switch turned on, revealing this here and now. "With you?" cried Snow White, eying the leering spectre. "I'll embrace this endless sleep when I'm dead!" She turned to run but it was too late, the scream cut off abruptly and, with a satiated "It's over," the ghost and freakshow retreated to their lair.

"Computer Love"?

lumber up, limbaugh down (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 18:52 (fourteen years ago)

Seconds at #7 is the biggest surprise of the poll by far.

Pink Glove was my #1. The lyric kills me every time, I think I feel that one more personally, in my gut, than any other Pulp song. It's not even because the story in the song has happened to me IRL, but it just *feels so real* to me. I mean, who hasn't gone halfway crazy over loving someone who didn't love you back? If that feeling has been expressed in a song better than in "Pink Glove", I have yet to hear it.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Tuesday, 1 November 2011 18:52 (fourteen years ago)

Heh, no - not Computer Love.

I think of Pink Glove & She's A Lady as songs that go, er, hand in hand, so was very surprised to see one rate so much higher than another! I was also pretty surprised about Seconds - not that it isn't good - just that it's never one that pops into my head as something I want to put on.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 19:45 (fourteen years ago)

Gukbe otm upthread, the lyrics to CP thread woke me up to it again after years where it had felt played out & you know an event to be dreaded when heard in a room full of ppl liable to sing along. The 'who is this narrator anyway? What's he so angry abt?' questions made CP & other things breathe a bit - I think I'd once just enjoyed triumph-of-the-loser identification that he invites, but some of JC's best years' songwriting nods at the latent cockfarmer: spiteful, posturing, narcissistic, resentful – the way losers triumphant can be.

That Common People Lyrics/Discussion Thread

encarta it (Gukbe), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 19:59 (fourteen years ago)

I found Pulp pretty late to the game because it was either 1997 or 8 when I first heard them. A boy in my writing class took me to a brit pop night on the top floor of a a long since closed down rock club on St. Marks Pl. in NYC. It was very late and near closing when the DJ played "Do You Remember the First Time" and I pretty much thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever heard. I pulled him close and yelled in his ear over the music "Who is this?! I LOVE it!". I still remember exactly how awesome and happy I felt dancing to that song in that moment. The next day I went out and bought everything I could find.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 19:59 (fourteen years ago)

I got into them around that time a well, in 1998 when I saw the video for "This is Hardcore" on 120 Minutes. Around that time my parents had divorced and my father bought a mustang convertible and got a 26 year old girlfriend and I was all "lol Help the Aged" so I got him the album for Christmas.

encarta it (Gukbe), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 20:04 (fourteen years ago)

haha.. reading that CP thread now. Kinda happy I missed it the first time it seems! (I grew up poor; I would surely have ended up butting heads against KDT)

My Pulp story is that my whole class adored Common People when it came out, and I was all "pfft, I hate popular music." Then the hype faded and I heard Disco 2000 and thought wait, maybe these guys are for me. So I got Different Class and the next thing I was able to find was the DYRTFT? single (with Street Lights, the Babysitter). God, the pre-mp3s days in Canada were so dismal - I must've spent $20 on those three songs alone. I scoured Toronto and eventually got everything except It - still don't have it! But I did find mp3s or something along the way. Then one day Ned sent me a CD-R of live songs and rarities and whatnot, and made my life!!

Well, we were Gifted.. so we were the Mis-Shapes of the school. I remember we used to bring a TV into our classroom during lunches and watch music videos that people had taped off of Much Music, and that was a big hit.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 20:32 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, "hate" is too strong a word, I never hated CP but I bored of it to the point that I started resenting it (as silly as this may sound) for getting all the attention when it was only the 7th or 8th best song on DC. I still prefer "Disco 2000" or "Something Changed" on most days but CP is the essence of DC and I realized I'd be kidding myself if I tried to argue that they wrote any more than a small handful of better songs.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Tuesday, 1 November 2011 20:34 (fourteen years ago)

"Babies" would have been my #1 if I'd voted, now wish I had!

da croupier, Tuesday, 1 November 2011 20:37 (fourteen years ago)

I was one of the two who put "Seconds" at #1. I first heard and liked "Do You Remember The First Time?" when I saw the video, about a year later "Common People" was everywhere and a girl I knew lent me a taped copy of it at a party where I got drunk for the first time, rode an inflatable whale down a flight of stairs and jumped in a pool fully clothed and had my first kiss to boot. Took the tape home, realised that 10 of the other 11 songs were JUST AS GOOD (Never liked "Pencil Skirt" as much as the others though), gave it back, and was fortunate enough to grab a copy of "Different Class" with the Second Class B-sides CD.

"Seconds" was the one that completely slayed me and told me to buy all their records.

unskinny blap (edwardo), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 20:55 (fourteen years ago)

Nice work Lex!

I guess "Babies" was my "Common People" then. The former was the first Pulp track I ever knowingly heard (it, and then "Do You Remember..." were their first tracks to get major airplay here) and I'd be lying to myself if I'd not voted it #1.

Pleased to see that the only other track I could have honestly put at #1, "Little Girl (With Blue Eyes)", was not all that far out of contention.

12 - HELP THE AGED - 14 votes, 270 points

It was the first "new" single after they blew up, probably made a big impact on ppl that way

Last Man in Space 0 20
The 1st Man In Space 0 21
First Man in Space 0 48

by my count this puts 1st Man In Space at #49?

Heh, I can't believe I didn't catch at least one of those - a few other songs, especially F.C.L., had a ton of variations.

This poll was great fun! I noticed a couple more duplicates-

-We Love Life @ #94
-I Love Life @ #76

-The Birds in... @ #81
-Birds in... @ 83

epistantophus, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 03:18 (fourteen years ago)

it's weird to think of "Pencil Skirt" and "Monday Morning" missing the top 40, those are totally key Different Class songs imo

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 03:26 (fourteen years ago)

I thought "Weeds" would place higher than #51. But I was pleasantly surprised by how high "This is Hardcore", "Pink Glove", "Underwear", and "Something Changed" placed. The highest ranked song that I don't really like is "Do You Remember the First Time?" at #3. The person who introduced me to Pulp loves that song, but somehow it never quite clicked with me.

epistantophus, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 03:30 (fourteen years ago)

the past couple weeks listening to a lot of pulp "first time" kept coming up and sounding really amazing. i put it at #7 but it easily could've been much higher.

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 03:38 (fourteen years ago)

brilliant poll! kinda surprised at Roadkill being so low; bloody heartbreaking track that.

piscesx, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 08:10 (fourteen years ago)

ehh, fuck me with the duplicates! Very sorry about that guys. All the same, very enjoyable. We should have a thread where people just post clues and we guess the song(s)! Because now I want to play!

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 13:59 (fourteen years ago)

btw Pulp ppl, it seems there is now actually a band called Blouse - they even have a vaguely Pulp-like cover for their album. They don't sound much like Pulp though.

The video is from a UK show called Brass Eye which is pretty much all comedy gold. They also did a Pixies parody called "Motherbanger" which is A++.

Are we posting ballots?

pleased to see This Is Hardcore placing so highly as it was the first Pulp song I ever really loved, possibly influenced by the embarrassing fact that I was only convinced to listen to it by a friend telling me that it was produced by RZA! This turned out to be a lie. Maybe.

pandemic, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:03 (fourteen years ago)

Hahaha - I can just about see it!

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:05 (fourteen years ago)

This Is Hardcore is the song that really got me into them, too. I'd heard and liked a few Different Class songs (I was a teenager in Wisconsin, so I didn't have a lot of exposure to Pulp), but then I saw the This Is Hardcore video, by chance (maybe on 120 Minutes, like Gukbe?), and was completely blown away.

!Alicia!, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:11 (fourteen years ago)

as a proud listener of only "Hits" (and Different Class) I offer a top 5

1. Babies
2. Razzmatazz
3. Something Changed
4. Common People
5. Help The Aged

Seconds is a major discovery. thanks!

gospodin simmel, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:17 (fourteen years ago)

That video *is* incredible, I was pleased to see it in a 'top 20 videos ever' for Time or Rolling Stone or something like that recently. The whole package, though, it jumped out as clearly the best thing they ever did when I went relistening - it takes guts to take an idea so far. I thought it might sneak #1, so I'm slightly disappointed.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:23 (fourteen years ago)

"This Is Hardcore" was also my introduction to Pulp. It is a fucking incredible song.

haha add me to the list of (surely all american) people who got into Pulp via the "This Is Hardcore" video. i think 120 Minutes played that, "Like A Friend" and "Help The Aged" in the space of a few weeks and really sold me on the band.

The middle part of TIH drags; it keeps me from thinking of it as anything but a misfire.

lumber up, limbaugh down (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:08 (fourteen years ago)

Classic CD-era bloat.

lumber up, limbaugh down (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:09 (fourteen years ago)

ha just noticed my typo for the all seeing i track, i probably contributed to some of the poll confusion xpost

love of gorillagrams (electricsound), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:09 (fourteen years ago)

TIH is definitely overlong and inconsistent (although i'd disagree about the middle being the problem -- "A Little Soul" is right in the middle!), but the highs are far too high for me to think of it as a misfire. possibly the only 'dark reflection on fame' album i'll ever love.

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:11 (fourteen years ago)

really the pileup of bombastic power ballads at the end is what hurts the album most for me -- if it just stopped at "Sylvia" and left the last two off it'd be pretty solid.

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:13 (fourteen years ago)

We can trade opinions. For me it drops off after the title track (for which I really must be in the mood, i.e. never) or whatever track follows, but enjoy "Like a Friend."

lumber up, limbaugh down (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:15 (fourteen years ago)

"TV Movie" follows the title track and is easily my least favorite track on the album, so yeah i think that exacerbates the feeling of it being frontloaded. "Like A Friend" was my #1 so no disagreements on that count.

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Thursday, 3 November 2011 00:23 (fourteen years ago)

jim putting Stacks separately also brings Inside Susan up to #31 overall

the men who glare at stoats (sic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:08 (fourteen years ago)

That's not quite the same, given that surely votes for "Inside Susan" were for the song "Inside Susan", not the related songs that make up the story (which also includes "The Babysitter").

unskinny blap (edwardo), Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:18 (fourteen years ago)

xxxp I kind of know what you mean re: the final tracks- When I listen to the album straight through, I'm pretty much done with it by then. The album starts strong, peaks massively, hits a little turbulence at "TV Movie", and then by "Sylvia" I'm starting to feel filthy and nauseous. The last thing I need at that point is more songs. But "Glory Days" and "The Day After the Revolution" are so great (especially "Glory Days")! It just took me a while to realize it. Actually, now that I think of it, I like "TV Movie" too. That incongruous, tuneless whistle halfway through makes me lol every time, and I like the way he spits out, "Why pre-TTTEND any longer?" There's really no duds on this album, in my opinion. I guess the one I'm most likely to skip is "Seductive Barry".

epistantophus, Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:37 (fourteen years ago)

the songs at the end aren't bad per se, i just feel they're done a disservice by the sequencing (although i do prefer "Cocaine Socialism" to "Glory Days")

prettyliketynandelong (some dude), Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:42 (fourteen years ago)

That's not quite the same, given that surely votes for "Inside Susan" were for the song "Inside Susan", not the related songs that make up the story (which also includes "The Babysitter").

a) if I'd thought my vote wasn't for the three-song-suite, I would have voted for Stacks instead

b) there's no separation on the list for Jarvis vs Nancy versions of Don't Let Him Waste Your Time so

the men who glare at stoats (sic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:51 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i specifically voted for stacks, not that into '59' and wouldn't have rated the titular song that highly tbqh

love of gorillagrams (electricsound), Thursday, 3 November 2011 01:52 (fourteen years ago)

a[ii]) I just checked and my ballot specifically says 05. Inside Susan: A Story in 3 Parts

the men who glare at stoats (sic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 02:00 (fourteen years ago)

IIRC there was only one Nancy vote, but I should have clarified Stacks :(

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 03:57 (fourteen years ago)

ppl may have been happily allowing their Don't Let Him votes to go to either. I assumed mine (for Nancy) would be combined with specific Jarvis and nonspecific votes the way remixes are on other tracks polls, and the division merely footnoted. (which I guess happened, just without the footnoting?)

the men who glare at stoats (sic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 04:30 (fourteen years ago)

I would have liked to contribute to this earlier, but my home state of New Jersey has fallen victim to a crazy October blizzard which has incapacitated the entire state. I've been without power for five days. People let me tell you, leaves + snow = catastrophe

Anyway, here is my ballot

Common People
Pink Glove
A Little Soul
I’m A Man
Party Hard
Something Changed
Disco 2000
Do You Remember The First Time
Help The Aged
Dishes
Mis-Shapes
Glory Days
Underwear
The Day After The Revolution
Pencil Skirt
This is Hardcore
Sunrise
Roadkill
Lipgloss
Angela

Jarvis's "Baby's Coming Back To Me" > Nancy's though

With all errors fixed since full results posted, as well as artist names differentiated.. I also changed the vote for Inside Susan: ASITP to Stacks as Sic said he would've voted for that one in particular if he had to? My Inside Susan vote was for that song, in particular - if others who only put Inside Susan meant the trilogy we can hash it out further!

For ties I used any number one votes as a tiebreaker, if there wasn't one I used how many people voted, when that was no different either they become, e.g., 31.1 and 31.2 which I think ended up alphabetically.

So vote-splitting means the conservatives won Inside Susan got knocked out of contention! But Stacks placed higher! :)

I agree with nearly all of this ... when I finally got into "Glory Days" and "The Day After the Revolution", TIH went from being the "difficult follow-up to DC" to "maybe the best Pulp album?" for me. The weak links are "TV Movie" (although it works well as a sort-of intermission to the album), "Party Hard", and "Seductive Barry" (Pulp could never do epics and should have never recorded a song longer than seven minutes).

My #1, "My Legendary Girlfriend" is a sentimental favorite for me since it was the first Pulp song I heard, and Separations was the first album I bought - and only one I had for a long time. Pulp was never popular in the US (none of their singles charted here, and Hardcore was the only album that even made the top 200), so I had no idea until many years later that they'd become huge in their home country and elsewhere. I still wasn't aware "Common People" was their smash hit or signature song - I've never heard it on the radio.

I decided to make things easier on myself by considering only Pulp songs - no JC solo, collaborations, or guest appearances (although I would have loved to include "Fuckingsong"). I somehow forgot to include "...First Time" on my ballot, but am relieved to see that didn't affect its placement; indeed I would have probably put it at #3. My ballot:

1. My Legendary Girlfriend
2. The Fear
3. Blue Girls
4. Ansaphone
5. Babies
6. Separations
7. Acrylic Afternoons
8. Underwear
9. Morning Dew
10. O.U.
11. Love Love
12. This Is Hardcore
13. 97 Lovers
14. Live Bed Show
15. I Want You
16. Glory Days
17 .My Lighthouse
18. Being Followed Home
19. Weeds
20. Sunrise

- 11 songs that placed in the top 41

I wish you had voted for Fuckingsong! I did. It probably still wouldn't have placed but at least I'd get to think about it twice. In fact, I think I'll put that on right now.. :)

That song pretty much sums up Jarvis's ethos for me

It's sort of the less-creepy PTA, no? Or at least - PTA might not have grossed me out as much if he wrote about it as if "it's just a fucking song." N.B. I'm fine being grossed out by him.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Thursday, 3 November 2011 17:11 (fourteen years ago)

I never made that connection, but yes P.T.A. is creepy. FS is more like JC's message to groupies that IRL he can't live up to their image of him, so they're best off just listening to their favorite records since they'll always live up to your expectations. Or something like that....

Everything else is secondary (Lee626), Thursday, 3 November 2011 17:26 (fourteen years ago)

That interpretation makes sense.. I had just thought of it as "the perfect girl" or somesuch with his allusions to how in real life he's late, messy, etc. Hey, the teenage girl inside me is satisfied! ;)

I just stumbled across http://www.jarviscocker.net/ which I had never visited before and am having great fun watching him eat an apple, read a book, etc in the header. Teehee!

i disagree with this so much! "Seductive Barry" and "You're In My Eyes (Discosong)" off the last Jarvis solo album were both on my ballot because i think he's GREAT at the 8-minute slow burn (and i probably wouldn't mind if the 6-minute slow burns like "F.E.E.L.I.N.G." and "This Is Hardcore" were a bit longer). those songs are really just masterful achievements in pacing and mood.

Told my husband to guess which song placed #1 and he guessed Song 2 ;_; He's more of a soul man. But still. Sob!

PULP, PLUP, BLUR... hey it is almost an anagram if you add a few pen strokes....

Everything else is secondary (Lee626), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:13 (fourteen years ago)

To be fair, he knows I am (was) a massive Blur fan too.. so I guess he blanked a bit, since he doesn't post to ILX or anything. He gets partial points. :)

Has anyone ever noticed that Pulp always uses "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" as filler but Blur's always on the "La la la"? Not 100% of the time but I once told him that's an easy way to guess if I'm playing a Pulp or a Blur song, heh. And Song 2 does end with "Awwwww... yeah."

Maybe it does!

Just throwing this out there, but I'd be totally down with taking part in an ILM This is Hardcore tribute album, where we recast the songs into different genres (e.g. "The Fear" as a dance track, "Party Hard" as a country song, "This is Hardcore" as industrial, etc. etc.)

epistantophus, Saturday, 5 November 2011 00:09 (fourteen years ago)

Aww, yeah you guys should do it. I've no musical ability whatsoever however.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Saturday, 5 November 2011 02:40 (fourteen years ago)

That could be an asset, not a liability! You could do an a capella track, or a kazoo track, or a minimalist lo-fi casio track!

epistantophus, Saturday, 5 November 2011 21:17 (fourteen years ago)

two months pass...

Listening to Pulp to prepare for the show, I've come across a few songs that should have ranked higher or at all:

Separations - I forgot about the actual song! "Let's Do It.."
the Mark of the Devil
