BMG Chrysalis has announced that it has agreed a new publishing deal with indie-folk singer-songwriter Frank Turner. The contract was apparently signed after something of a biding war, as Turner prepares to play his biggest show to date, headlining Wembley Arena next month.

Says BMG Chrysalis UK VP of A&R Ben Bodie: "This is a significant signing of an artist who is clearly on the verge of a major breakthrough. If you look at what is happening in the album market, it's all about proper artists with real songs. Frank is a real contemporary artist, an exceptional songwriter with a unique vision all his own".

Nah, there's as many things I don't like named above as things I (slightly) do. Bolton's "Fools Game" (his first semi-hit, 1982) is good, though -- and his Blackjack stuff isn't bad.

Definitely have no use for Creed, Staind, Hoobastank, Rusted Root, ICP, James Blunt, Sugar Ray, Kenny G, Mumford and Sons. Probably Mraz, too; I'm not sure how much I've even heard him. Mayer had one or two songs on his last album I didn't completely hate, but it's not like I'll ever want to hear them again.

Taylor did, however, leave open the possibility of Live re-forming with a new vocalist.

At the end of May 2010, the other three members of Live filed a lawsuit against Kowalczyk and their former business manager in the New York State Supreme Court.[16] Kowalczyk was asked about the lawsuit in a September 2010 interview but declined to elaborate, saying, "There is a (court) case that is pending, which is why I really don't want to get into it."[16] In June 2011, Kowalczyk told The Salt Lake Tribune, "I had simply come to the end of a chapter in my life and wanted to spread my wings and move beyond what I had been doing, in the same way, for almost 20 years. As far as the allegations that were leveled at me and purported as the reason for the breakup, they were all absolutely untrue. I have no plans to work with those individuals again. The spirit of Live is alive and well in my performances and my new material."[7]

I think the venom level and total weird random fandom brawls don't happen anywhere near as much now that you got to register for the site. I know that crazy the Stevie Ray Vaughn thread that got locked up and I think even that multi-thousand post Dave Matthews thread got a lot of live and at times laughs from fans of the artists stumbling upon it and putting their 2 cents in from search engines. There are also alot of UK people that have reasons to hate Eric Clapton other than his shite music since the early 70s that most people in the US haven't heard about.
