Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 20 October 2012 02:09 (thirteen years ago)

prediction, this poll basically just boils down to me listening to "slow ride" really loud for a week

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 20 October 2012 02:38 (thirteen years ago)

LOL! I just clicked on this thread to remind everyone to vote for Slow Ride. It should be everybody's #1.

kornrulez6969, Saturday, 20 October 2012 02:43 (thirteen years ago)

it's fuckin massive, also love how nobody involved seems to be in any way "taking it easy," eagles could have taken some cues from foghat on this one

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 20 October 2012 02:44 (thirteen years ago)

this band "mountain" bringing some serious riffing too, damn

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 20 October 2012 02:44 (thirteen years ago)

Would also like to direct everybody to give "Rock and Roll, Hootchie Koo" another look-see - - - I doubt anybody's unfamiliar with it, but it's third-tier classic rock rotation material and maybe you've never heard it played loud, singing along, with your best pal joining in for the high parts. Parent album has a least one more decent song, a stab at country-flavored rock called "Cheap Perfume," not sure if I've ever had the energy to try out side B though.

Also, Rick Derringer wrote/played on "Hang On Sloopy," and as you probably know, produced Weird Al's early records and cut the solo on "Eat It." Unsung greatness.

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 20 October 2012 03:07 (thirteen years ago)

bump

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 20 October 2012 11:09 (thirteen years ago)

Couple of my noms are missing from the spreadsheet, didn't see them vetoed on the noms thread.

Ian Dury & The Blockheads - Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick
Undertones - Get Over You

fun loving and xtremely tolrant (Billy Dods), Saturday, 20 October 2012 12:20 (thirteen years ago)

Question about the 5 tracks per artist limit. How does it work with Iggy Pop? Are Iggy & The Stooges, The Stooges and Iggy Pop all considered seperate acts for this poll?

fun loving and xtremely tolrant (Billy Dods), Saturday, 20 October 2012 12:25 (thirteen years ago)

don't mind a couple of noms getting vetoed where it made sense against the criteria / despotic prerogative but what happened to:
Yes - Heart of the Sunrise
Yes - Siberian Khatru
Yes - Long Distance Runaround
Bola Johnson and his Easy-life Top Beats - Ezuku Buzo
Orchestre Super Jheevs des Paillotes - Ye Nan Lon An
Brian Eno - King's Lead Hat
?

which should all surely have qualified?

iglu ferrignu, Saturday, 20 October 2012 12:39 (thirteen years ago)

I cant speak for balls (and its his poll) but I'm pretty sure when we discussed it Iggy & The Stooges/The Stooges are the same but Iggy Pop solo isn't.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 20 October 2012 14:28 (thirteen years ago)

As for what's vetoed I don't know, again its not my decision.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 20 October 2012 14:29 (thirteen years ago)

Wished I'd nommed John Entwistle's "My Size," then noticed someone already did! Thanks, Spectrist!

5-Hour Enmity (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Saturday, 20 October 2012 20:18 (thirteen years ago)

iggy & the stooges/the stooges count as one artist as do bob seger/bob seger & silver bullet band and yoko ono/yoko ono/plastic ono band. iggy solo counts as different than the stooges though. iirc the yes were maybe not heavy enough (plus i might've been uncomfortable w/ just how much yes was on the list considering in early discussions they were mentioned as a band that didn't qualify for this definition of 'rawk'), the afrobeat are awesome and have great guitar but they're not rawk gestures by non-rock artists the way something like 'crazy horses' is, w/ the eno i figured if talking heads didn't qualify it was a bit unfair to let king's lead hat in, even if it does rock more than talking heads; plus 'blank frank' fit better maybe and the only eno that really unquestionably qualifies are the more driven guitar tracks from warm jets and tiger mtn. w/ this poll i was more interested in exploring the continuum between slade and sabbath and stooges and skynyrd and seger and swans and then finding out what wavelengh they all hit, be it only occasionally like skynyrd and seger and habitually like stooges and sabbath, and then including agents outside that continuum that nevertheless attempted to tap into it either due to commercial calculation (donna summer) or cuz the artist really really loved edgar winter's 'frankenstein' (the jacksons) or cuz of 60s hangover (too many to mention).

balls, Saturday, 20 October 2012 22:07 (thirteen years ago)

lol not swans, saints rather

balls, Saturday, 20 October 2012 22:08 (thirteen years ago)

"Heart of the Sunrise" is surely one of Yes's heaviest songs. I don't see why this shouldn't qualify: http://youtu.be/oDqG9agd5wc

Hellhouse, Saturday, 20 October 2012 22:35 (thirteen years ago)

hmm yeah 'heart of the sunrise' must've been oversight, since there was one yes track listed twice already i did go ahead and switch that in. no further changes though, the period for appeals was allocated and has come and gone.

balls, Saturday, 20 October 2012 22:44 (thirteen years ago)

no further changes though

nooooooo! Donna Summer + the Jacksons! who knew? never a dull moment!

now, now, Doctor, I believe Mr. Balls is merely trying to inject of bit of that freewheelin' Pinochet spirit to add some zesty 70s versimilitude to our staid little party. whoo!

and we still have the following addendums to look forward to!

*two tracks per artist if you vote for >40 but <50
*one track per artist if you vote for >30 but <40
*no tracks at all by any artist you have ever enjoyed if you vote for <25 tracks
*If you vote for <10 tracks, then you may only vote for the Thomas Bernhard novel

Hellhouse, Sunday, 21 October 2012 02:48 (thirteen years ago)

what if i get to platinum level, does that come with extra perks or do i just get more points for every dollar i spend on airplane vodka and internet gaming?

Doctor Casino, Sunday, 21 October 2012 03:25 (thirteen years ago)

I wish I could go back in time and nominate Rainbow: Man On The Silver Mountain

kornrulez6969, Sunday, 21 October 2012 03:52 (thirteen years ago)

How to Repress Well (Mr Andy M), Monday, 22 October 2012 17:49 (thirteen years ago)

These polls have def lead to me listening to a higher quotient of ROCK than I have in years.

How to Repress Well (Mr Andy M), Monday, 22 October 2012 17:50 (thirteen years ago)

it’s quiet as a fucking crypt in here, so I'll take the opportunity to throw out the idea of Red Transistor’s Not Bite as not only a signature no-wave track, but one of the decade’s best, period (easily top five for me, and, after particularly enraging episodes at work, number one). scribes have bled purple rivers trying to sketch its manic chainsaw charm and crack the code to its hateful yet strangely irresistible sound-fouling zeal, so I'll just add that I think that part of Red Transistor's genius resides in successfully pulling off the gambit of shackling the jerky, blown-circuit urban overload at no wave’s aesthetic core to the muscular drive of Symptom of the Universe years before Sonic Youth attempted the same. this catholic approach to racket enables the rec to sit dead center in the Venn intersection of metal, punk, no wave, rock and noise in the same manner as Reign in Blood and the Bad Brains’ ROIR tape, delivering an expansive slice of punishment that's satisfying to a variety of otherwise fractious freaks. finally, on an extra-musical note, I think that Von LMO in particular, a "loser in a losers' scene" (to quote Julian Cope), truly embodies the decade's fervid, car-wreck milieu of explosive creativity amidst a hopelessly broken political, social and economic landscape, and that it’s only fitting that, despite being dismissed as the Klaus Nomi of sonic vomit for his ridiculous spaceman schtick, he's achieved an ironic vindication for helping make a record that still sounded walloping in '90 when I bought it and seems even more deliriously fucked today. enjoy:

Excellent props for Red transistor, Hellhouse. Not Bite would be a shoo-in for my top ten were i able to cut and paste from the spreadsheet which for some reason i am unable to do. Also wishing I had remembered to nominate A Band's No Love - track two here - http://youtu.be/Xn5ZgVCd5hQ

Excellent props for Red transistor, Hellhouse. Not Bite would be a shoo-in for my top ten were i able to cut and paste from the spreadsheet which for some reason i am unable to do.

thanks, but you MUST vote f/this rec! appeal to the powers-that-be to amend your ballot! it's one of the only true anti-RS-canon votes!

Hellhouse, Monday, 22 October 2012 23:50 (thirteen years ago)

You can't cut and paste, but you should be able to copy and paste?

sug sug sputnik (seandalai), Monday, 22 October 2012 23:58 (thirteen years ago)

i have yet to submit a ballot as i can't vote full stop due to aforementioned cut and paste problems and not being willing to type 100 band and track titles out (is nobody else having this problem?). maybe i'll just write-in vote for all my no wave faves and leave it at that.

xp

seandalai - i can't copy or paste either. no problem on the albums spreadsheet but something up with the tracks one.

stirmonster, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 00:01 (thirteen years ago)

I can C+P ok in Firefox. Anyone else having problems?

sug sug sputnik (seandalai), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 00:08 (thirteen years ago)

stirmonster, did you try keyboard shortcuts for C+P? tracks spreadsheet is set up differently than albums in that you don't have the google docs toolbar available, but you should still be able to highlight the rows and C+P.

space dokken (Edward III), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 15:07 (thirteen years ago)

nope, tried it in safari and firefox and no joy.

Got the noms list down to a shortlist of 147 (though I've still got a large chunk of the Spotify playlist to work through). This is proving harder to put together than the albums ballot but it's loads of fun. <3 whoever nominated 'Horrorshow' by the way!

bumping this to let people know if you want to listen to some of the nommed tracks and such we are opening the ILXOR soundrop room in spotify:

Don't want these threads to fall off the map... I still haven't finished my ballots but I hope people are voting!

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Wednesday, 31 October 2012 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

the notion of a no-wave canon is strictly for disgusting savages but probably inevitable, so on this apocalyptic Halloween I’m repping for some appropriately ferocious classics:

Teenage Jesus - Orphans: 4/4 slab of choking defiance fueled by feverish mechano-stomp and smeared w/sick slide guitar that’s more slide than guitar, like wet organs skating over ice after being kicked by an ingenue w/an axe. Lunch tops the attack w/a metaphor f/the lost children of the LES that’s delivered w/feral scorn. the Rosetta Stone of no wave. http://youtu.be/pQHc9NFPxdw

Mars - Helen Fordsdale: Mark Cunningham kicks off w/bass-driven euphoria reminiscent of Joy Division, leading eager toe-tappers into a jungle of spastic drums, Yoko being strangled and razor-wire guitar coiled in all corners. a jarring mix of rock and soundbombing that maps no wave’s staid origins and radical departures. http://youtu.be/NTtk9I3S950

DNA - Not Moving: the rise and fall of no wave in two minutes: sleepy, atonal lurch drags along, sparks to life w/zombie zeal, and then slams to earth on snapping legs. Lindsay delivers the dialectic of ill will w/a coked-Hegel yarn: you went this way, I went that way, NOT MOVING. meanwhile, guitar attacked w/rake, one-key synth and primitive pound rep f/no wave’s legacy of brutality in upstanding fashion in the aesthetic nuclear war between crawling from the sea and returning to the murk. the cycle of racket defined. http://youtu.be/zMSxsRBqsL8

Contortions - Flip Your Face: warped dance brawl teetering between jerky bop and stopping dead, as though the metronomic mission of funk was a fascist command made to be broken but too fun to resist. the stabbing synth and catchy riff chug nicely but break down repeatedly like a shambling heap of a UFO held together w/duct tape on its way from a moon slum w/out heat or running water. Chance takes the opportunity to channel his James-Brown-torn-in-two charm and tell the listeners to fuck off, occasionally pausing to let guitar scrape and a sax crushed by a truck take a few wild swings while he rests from the hard work of hate. a key battle in the war of noise against dance. http://youtu.be/tGpYoMS3hws

Hellhouse, Wednesday, 31 October 2012 18:50 (thirteen years ago)

for anyone interested I'm back in the ILXOR soundrop room on spotify listening to nominated tracks trying to fill out my ballot...

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Wednesday, 31 October 2012 19:14 (thirteen years ago)

First sweep through the spreadsheet and came up with just over 100 candidates. Convenient.

Jeff W, Friday, 2 November 2012 18:53 (thirteen years ago)

Mannnnn, this is gonna be hard. On the one hand, a ton of songs I don't know but want to take time to check out, and on the other, the impossibility of narrowing down among the riches of e.g. Van Halen or the Ramones. How can I choose?!

Mine will certainly be among the more mainstream/"classic rock"-oriented ballots. But definitely trying to crack open at least a few of these punk bands that I've heard of before but never actually listened to...

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 3 November 2012 04:45 (thirteen years ago)

This one is still going, right?

I think on the previous poll I was moaning about how I dislike 80s and onwards Aerosmith quite strongly, but going through the tracks noms for this one has reminded me that I do quite like 70s Aerosmith. They're prob never going to the central life-defining group for me that they are for some ppl on here, but they had some good tunes. All about the really pumping groove that they had going.

Hard Normal Showaddywaddy (Mr Andy M), Sunday, 4 November 2012 12:01 (thirteen years ago)

Occurred to me the other day that you could trace a massive chunk of RHCP's sound back to Last Child.

this is still going but close of voting will be extended until whenever ag closes voting on album poll, w/ rollout to follow

Yeah its def still happening so voting will remain open until after eoy polls.
it gives everyone plenty of campaign/discovery time too.

I have no idea. Balls is in charge of things.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Tuesday, 6 November 2012 20:30 (thirteen years ago)

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Thursday, 8 November 2012 23:37 (thirteen years ago)

finally have a passable ballot in the works although boy does it look completely insane if you look at it as an actual list of ranked songs, as opposed to just, doctor casino's fantasy classic rock station playlist.

Doctor Casino, Friday, 9 November 2012 05:22 (thirteen years ago)

two weeks pass...

VOTED. Split ballot is cool - has that been done before? I like being able to loosely rank the stuff I really knew (although again, beyond a certain point ranking just feels absurd) - and then give a bunch of shout-out points to things I really only heard because of the Spotify playlist but which I thought were cool. Thanks balls and thanks ILX for the recommendations!

Doctor Casino, Thursday, 29 November 2012 01:56 (thirteen years ago)

two months pass...

because balls is busy the tracks poll has been taken over by a new TimeOverlord.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you...

So you thought you might like to vote in the poll?
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
balls isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel
And they me us along as a surrogate poll-doing-guy
And I'm gonna find out where your true 70s rock sensibilities lie!!!

Let's take care of Business! Ya'll have till March 8th to finish your ballots, I would be much obliged if a mod could change the thread title to relfect this fact CLOSING MARCH 8TH, I think Midnight Standard Green-Witch Time. (And then could the mods fuck off cause this polls for rockers?!)

Oh, and BUMP.

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Tuesday, 5 February 2013 17:21 (twelve years ago)

balls' rules still apply:

: You can vote for a minimum of 20 and maximum of 100 tracks, BUT: You can only vote for a maximum of five tracks by a single artist (if you vote for a full 100 tracks), four tracks by a single artist if you vote for <100 but >50 tracks, three tracks if you vote for <50 tracks. In addition you can only vote for one track by an artist in your top ten. You can choose to submit a weighted, unweighted or split ballot. Points will be assigned as follows: Weighted: 1st choice (top of the ballot) 260 points, then 245, 235, 225, 220, 215, 210, 205, 200, 195, 190, 188, 186, 184 and so on down to 2 points for 100th place. Unweighted: Every choice gets 113 points. Split: The top portion is treated as a weighted ballot and the remaining potential points total is divided equally among the bottom portion, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'll have to take a look -- hard to read the results document kinda.

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Monday, 18 February 2013 21:45 (twelve years ago)

But we need MOAR!!!! Come on, 20 trax people -- out of hundreds that are nominated. This is easy!

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Monday, 18 February 2013 21:46 (twelve years ago)

In fact the difficult part for me is getting it down to 100 and ranking them. That's the tough thing for someone who <3 70s rawk. If you are more indifferent this should be a cakewalk.

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Monday, 18 February 2013 21:47 (twelve years ago)

BTW this is also the thread for CAMPAIGNING!! So if you have a track you love and you want to see it place high come on and talk about it! Evidence has shown that persuasion is very effective in these polls.

Frobisher the (Viceroy), Monday, 18 February 2013 21:48 (twelve years ago)

It's a bummer that Mayo Thompson's Corky's Debt To His Father didn't get nommed. It might not be loud but it's certainly weird and great...but the song "Worried, Worried" made it to the trax poll and it's just as fantastic.

Funny to see that ray russell track on here. Not because it doesn't rock - it's some of the most thunderous free improv I've heard - but because its parent album, live at the ICA, wasn't nominated in the other poll. I'd definitely have voted for that, it's great. He had an odd career - he produced bill fay's second album and wrote the theme to a touch of frost!

just sent mine in too -
Blue Oyster Cult - Flaming Telepaths is missing plural 's' on the spreadsheet, might be better to just add it on results if everyone's copied/pasted from it so far.

70 for 70 would be better

Vote in the ILM 70s poll please! (Algerian Goalkeeper), Monday, 4 March 2013 01:19 (twelve years ago)

Viceroy I think the 80s polls started at 300 and I know balls planned it to be at least that, what size countdown are you going to do? Its 100% your call. And you will be able to start the rollout as soon as seandalai sends the results.

Vote in the ILM 70s poll please! (Algerian Goalkeeper), Monday, 4 March 2013 03:28 (twelve years ago)

Ok we're down to the last two days for voting!! Its the eleventh hour everyone!! Get em in!!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:33 (twelve years ago)

I'm really excited about this and I can sterss how important ballots are -- the more we get the better the results are and the bigger and more interesting the results can be. So vote vote vote!!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:38 (twelve years ago)

*can't stress

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:38 (twelve years ago)

I'm going to do a top 300 as is the decided standard for these big decade polls that are overseen by AG. It will last a week. After the tracks rollout finishes its onto albums!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:41 (twelve years ago)

hurrah! but lets hope there's enough votes to do it! (with ballots of 100 it shouldnt be a problem as 80s poll was a top 250 and max ballots were 50 and I doubt the number of them are any different to what you will get for this poll)

Algerian Goalkeeper, Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:47 (twelve years ago)

And balls idea was a huge rollout like the 80spoll anyway.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Wednesday, 6 March 2013 18:47 (twelve years ago)

Yeah if the results peter out to one vote each and stuff that's where I'll do the cut off, probably 3 votes each is my cutoff. We'll see how far we can go!

PS: I finally turned my trax ballot in after much agonizing. If I can do it, anyone can!!!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Wednesday, 6 March 2013 19:02 (twelve years ago)

I say this for every poll, but any chance of slowing down the rollout? I know that can make it seem like a chore but it is a lot more fun to have a little time to banter back and forth about individual tracks, and I tend to just give up if I get home at the end of the day and twenty songs have been posted and anything I might say already seems behind the times of the thread. But that may just be me!

Doctor Casino, Wednesday, 6 March 2013 19:21 (twelve years ago)

hehe people are complaining about how long the poll has been going enough as it is!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Wednesday, 6 March 2013 19:37 (twelve years ago)

but there really is nothing to stop people commenting later on when they're ready to. A lot of people do a kind of catching up recap set of posts that are good fun to read.
But it's not my poll and all decisions lie with the viceroy.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Wednesday, 6 March 2013 19:40 (twelve years ago)

nah tantric poll definitely the way to go. 8 sides of vinyl. top of new answers for a year.

where's the punk votes?

Algerian Goalkeeper, Thursday, 7 March 2013 20:13 (twelve years ago)

less than 24 hours to go

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 00:46 (twelve years ago)

the options are really really weird.

sarahell, Friday, 8 March 2013 08:24 (twelve years ago)

thanks for voting

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 17:17 (twelve years ago)

I'm having problems C&Ping from this spreadsheet. Comes out as a formatted table, and if I de-format it then it looks weird. Can someone message me the list in a suitable format?

emil.y, Friday, 8 March 2013 17:36 (twelve years ago)

Afraid not. The only way it works is if you copy and paste 1 entry at a time to the voting form (the way balls set it up for I imagine).

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 17:42 (twelve years ago)

Oh, argh, that's not so good.

emil.y, Friday, 8 March 2013 17:48 (twelve years ago)

i only voted for tracks that i've actually had stuck in my head -

sarahell, Friday, 8 March 2013 18:13 (twelve years ago)

Yeah copy-paste was ridiculous. I ended up writing them out by hand, which really helped to whittle down the ballot, like a track had to be worth my time to type in order to be considered.

today's tom soy yum, mean mean thai (Spectrist), Friday, 8 March 2013 18:23 (twelve years ago)

i copied and pasted into a separate google spreadsheet no problem. weird.

sarahell, Friday, 8 March 2013 18:32 (twelve years ago)

? I had no trouble c&ping into Word.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Friday, 8 March 2013 18:35 (twelve years ago)

For help... if you used excel like I do, I copy the list and then paste it into something like notepad, then c&p that to the ballot entry page window thing. Hope that helps you get rid of cell-formating and stuff.

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Friday, 8 March 2013 21:27 (twelve years ago)

remembering of course that the top is #1 and the on the list is #2 and so on.

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Friday, 8 March 2013 21:29 (twelve years ago)

*next one on the list...

Anyway, less than 3 hours away till the end of voting! If a lot of Americans need to vote later this evening I'll think about extending it to Midnight Pacific Time but that's a very iffy if.

Also my computer has been having a lot of issues, hopefully I get those all worked out before rollout time. Thanks again to everyone who has sent in ballots! Let's make the final push extra big!! Woooot!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Friday, 8 March 2013 21:33 (twelve years ago)

viceroy you cant. it all depends on seandalai. we need to get these results tonight so you can get started

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 21:38 (twelve years ago)

Any way I can please get a 4h extension?? I won't have Internet at work tonight.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Friday, 8 March 2013 21:58 (twelve years ago)

If we do that then seandalai cant tabulate tonight. Also the rollout wont be able to start.
You have until basically seandalai says voting is closed but he gotta do tabulating tonight. I know he said he has to clean up mistakes on ballots from people (people numbering stuff and not copy and pasting etc, check for duplicates ) and he said that would take a few hours but we cant expect him to stay up late. I told everybody not to wait til last minute!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 22:06 (twelve years ago)

Fair enough. I'll do what I can in the next 20 min.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Friday, 8 March 2013 22:08 (twelve years ago)

I'm up to 44 and have only got to "Ca".

EveningStar (Sund4r), Friday, 8 March 2013 22:09 (twelve years ago)

i found the trax ballot easy to do tbh. You must've nominated loads!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 22:11 (twelve years ago)

Given that I kept changing my albums ballot daily the past month, I was worried that I wouldn't have time for the trax. But I just looked at the spreadsheet and went with my gut, picking favorites on the fly and was done in 20 min. I didn't count the entries 'til after I submitted, it was not quite 100 but close enough.

Fastnbulbous, Friday, 8 March 2013 22:25 (twelve years ago)

woohoo!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 22:26 (twelve years ago)

ok sorry about that! Forgot about other people's schedules...

ONE HOUR TO GO FOR VOTING!!!! ONE HOUR!! LAST CALL!!!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Friday, 8 March 2013 22:53 (twelve years ago)

I found the trax poll harder than albums but I managed a 75-entry weighted ballot. 20 is the minimum so it should be very easy to send something in! it's friday afternoon, ya'll know if you're at work you're not doing anything anyway... send in a ballot!!!

Thanks again to everyone who already has!

Vote in BOTH ILM 70s polls please! (Viceroy), Friday, 8 March 2013 22:55 (twelve years ago)

yeah get voting! officially it will close once seandalai says so, you have until then to vote, but please declare now if you're going to!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 8 March 2013 23:18 (twelve years ago)

will submit trax ballot. battling fucked formatting/c+p issues at moment.

Hellhouse, Friday, 8 March 2013 23:54 (twelve years ago)

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:11 (twelve years ago)

If the form lets you submit a ballot it will be counted - it's not closed yet.

Viceroy, I'll send you the results in a couple of hours.

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:50 (twelve years ago)

thanks hellhouse!

Algerian Goalkeeper, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:51 (twelve years ago)

Not done tracks yet. Voted for albums.

emil.y, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:52 (twelve years ago)

emil.y how long do you need? I can give you about an hour.

aztec table rapper (seandalai), Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:52 (twelve years ago)

should be a split ballot: 14 weighted/36 unweighted. (I may/may not have picked the correct option, but there's a line break in any event.)

Hellhouse, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:56 (twelve years ago)

Okay, I'll try to do it in an hour. I have it down to 110 tracks, I just wanted to do a split ballot instead of entirely unweighted, but if all else fails I will have a list of 100 in at two, if that's okay?

emil.y, Saturday, 9 March 2013 01:04 (twelve years ago)

lol u r distracted by prog butts

OK! AFAIK that's everyone who was going to turn a ballot in! I think its tabulation time!

Thanks for turning one in emil.y!! I'm sure you made some great picks that will hopefully show up in the rundown!

really derailed my otherwise well-planned procrastination. 90% of my time was spent was spent shuttling that fucking spreadsheet back and forth between various versions of Word and Excel, but w/e (+ thanx f/taking my ballot late).
